FUCK! I wasn't born for technology. I've been sitting here, trying to figure out how the eff I can make the screen light brighter. I've google'd about it, and most websites say that there's an icon for that but I don't have it? God, help!

I don't have my Kindle with me...but IIRC, if you go under settings, there's an option for screen brightness...I won't get off work until after noon (so like seven hours from now), but if no one gets back to you before then, I'll check mine when I get home and see.

I have the Kindle Paperwhite and the bar that contains the house (home) also has a light bulb. Tap the light bulb and it will give you options for screen brightness.

I think that the reason why I don't have that option is because the one I got is the basic version which doesn't feature that. I read up on it, and I'm going to go back to the store and exchange it to the Paperwhite one! Thank you so much though Arms

No problem! I'm not familiar with the basic one =). I think you'll like the Paperwhite. I'm not a big fan of e-books, but it is nice and portable =)

Thank you! I wasn't a fan either until I actually saw a kindle and how it worked. The screen doesn't even look like a screen! Super cool :)

If you have any of the Kindle fires - even the cheapest option - the 'brightness' option is at the top. Once your Kindle is on and the screen's unlocked, just run your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom and you'll get a little menu at the top of the screen. There you'll see a 'brightness' button (it'll look like a sun). Click that and there'll be a slidy bar you can slide back and forth to go brighter or dimmer.

    It'll looks something like this.

Is anybody else that uses a Mac with Safari having problems / had this problem with the address bar? Mines was working fine this morning, but now it won't let me enter anything into it to change pages. I click on it and the outside of the box goes blue, as if it's been clicked and ready to enter, but it won't let me enter anything. Additionally, it isn't highlighting the current URL when I'm clicking on it to copy something. It's making life incredibly difficult, so if anybody has any fixes they can suggest, I'd be eternally grateful!

If I want to dye my hair from a natural light/medium brown to pastel pink, what would be the best way to go about it? Is it alright to bleach it, or should I ask my hairstylist to gradually lighten it over a long period of time? I don't dye my hair normally and just don't want to fry it. XD

Bleach will fry it...I haven't done my hair in a long time, but I'd talk to your hairstylist. They can guide you to the right products and how to do things the right way so you don't fry your hair.

You'll have to bleach it so that pastel colour can come through. Bleaching can be really damaging, but it is manageable if you commit to taking care of your hair. And I mean really taking care of it. So do think about it well before you go ahead and do it. Also, consult different hairstylists because one can be better than the other in the dyeing department.

So late here, but figured I'd add my two cents.

Bleaching it on your own can be okay, depending on what state your hair's in to begin with. If you're going to do it though, leave time between beaches and don't use anything too strong right away. I use the Live XXL blonde-ish colours and work my way down, eventually using the platinum blonde one at the tail end to take the remainder of the colour out of. It's not as high grade as the stuff that hair stylists use, but it's cheap, cheerful and doesn't destroy your hair as long as you leave enough time between bleaches (I left mines for weeks in between when I did mines a month or 2 back).

Another thing -- invest in hair oils. Lightening your hair always ends up with you losing a tiny degree of your hair's healthiness, so they are basically lifesavers. I do a hot oils treatment / intensive conditioning treatment in my hair at least once a month when I'm bleaching it in order to allow it to get some moisture back. And ensure that you've got a quality conditioner. I've bleached my hair about 6 times in the past month and a half alone and my hair's still fairly healthy / moisturised because of that.

Honestly though, if you're concerned, I'd speak to a hair stylist first and see what they say. They're the experts. tehe

Guys, has anyone ever had to replace a charger unit for a Macbook Pro that could tell me how much it cost on average? The adaptor from the unit to the plug is fine, but the actual charger cable is starting to come away from the unit on mines (no idea how, as it's only about a year and a half old) and I'm currently holding it together with plasters as I have nothing else to try and fix it. I tried looking on the Apple website, but it's going slow as sin and I can't be bothered waiting on it. I'd prefer to buy direct from Apple (there's a store in Glasgow, so it's not a crazy deal to get up there to buy it) but if you know of any other places then that'd be awesome too!

I looked it up on Apple UK for you cuz mine went normal speed. If you just want the little square box-y thing it's £39 and if you want the whole thing cord and box-y thing, it'll be £65.
I can't give you prices from other places because I don't know any, sorry!

It's the cable and the box I need, so I'll need to shell out £65, ugh. I totally don't want to because it shouldn't have worn out in the space of a year, but I guess I'll have to. Apple. Rolling Eyes

    Thank you so much! Arms

    Maths Question! *Everybody cheers*

    My given statistic data points are as follows: 6, 15, 15, 15, 18, 19, 19, 20, 21, 25, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 60.
I want to alienate the anomalies.
I'm certain that 60 is an anomaly but I'm not so sure about 6.

Would you classify it as an anomaly or not, and why?

    As in an outlier?
From my quite rudimentary mathematical skills, I do believe that the upper and lower fences of that data are 37.5 and 16.5 respectively. So, just due to that I'd believe that both 6 and 60 are outliers, but as for your 15s and 38, I'd double check my math first.
