hello...when i write my stories in Word there are parts that are in italics (such as dreams) that separates things in my story (dream from reality) so there is a mixture of both in most of my work but when i copy and paste to mibba, everything comes out in one font and i don't want that. is there a way to make the part i want to be in italics in actual italics on mibba? thanks

You need to use BBcode to do that. There's a tutorial here. For italics, the code is [i]italic text[/i] (becomes italic text) – so you have to go back and put those tags around all the text you want to be italicized. (Bit of a pain, but it's the only option at the moment.)

So, I'm not sure where else to go with this x'D. Every time I make a blog layout, the title links won't stay the color I set them as. Instead it goes back to the default color. Any ideas?

The same thing happens to me – it's a glitch in the layout maker. Hopefully Dujo will take care of it soon.

I have a slight problem that seems to occure quite frequently when I make story layouts.
When I edit the text colour in the summary, it looks fine in the layout maker. But when I use said story layout, the summary becomes transparent, though everything else (chapters + text) is all there. When I go back to fix the layout, nothing's changed; it looks the way it's meant to be.
I don't know if I'm explaining this right, but it's something that happens quite a bit. Some of my layouts work out fine, and then others end up all weird.

if I made a layout for someone and they are using it, can I delete it off of my list or will it delete the layout from their story?

It will delete the layout from their story, so it's probably best to just leave it there or, if you'd no longer like them to use it, talk to them about it.

When you go to make your layout, make sure the transperancy, which can usually be found right underneath the color graph in the different sections, is at zero. That may be why everything is becoming transparent.

It's fine with me if they use it I was just wondering because I have a lot of layouts that I've made for some of my friends and I didn't know if it was alright to delete them.

Is the layout maker for stories glitching up for anyone else? Because every time I fiddle with a layout for a story, more or less, a new layout that I made through the new layout maker, either one of the images don't show up or the letters (or words) over the shadows don't show up and I put a usable image link and didn't make the words in my title completely transparent.

No, the layout maker is working fine for me. Maybe it was your internet connection or perhaps it was just Mibba at that time?

Not anymore, no. It used to be you could get around the disabled embedding with BBcode but now that we don't have the long about section, no more youtube videos.

Okay, thanks. I'd never tried to post one before (on old or new Mibba) so I just didn't know if I didn't get it.

How unfortunate.

I made a printed border following the steps in one forum here. I think I followed the exact steps but I don't know where to put my banner. I know that it's placed in the background section of the content section but I placed the url of my border there and I don't know where to put my banner now.

You'd place your banner in the background of the title section.

Under background, after you've pasted the url in the Image box, do the following:

Repeat: No repeat
Attachment: Scroll
Position: I usually put it Center Top

Then under the Box tab still in the Title section, you have to adjust the padding top/bottom to show your full image, depending on where you want your title text to appear. If you want it below the image, you adjust padding top to be the full height of your banner. For example, if your banner height is 300px, you go under Padding and type 300 into the Top section. Then your banner should show fully on your layout.

I sure hope that all makes sense.

I finally got it. Thank you!

When using the layout maker, I can literally change anything except the darn line height on my chapters. No matter what I do, my chapter titles and their descriptions are spaced entirely too far for my taste, and the spacing cannot be changed, even though it changes on the preview of the layout maker. I am using Google Chrome, so I wonder if perhaps it is a glitch or maybe my computer is whack, but in short, I would like some help! :-)
