When using the layout maker, I can literally change anything except the darn line height on my chapters. No matter what I do, my chapter titles and their descriptions are spaced entirely too far for my taste, and the spacing cannot be changed, even though it changes on the preview of the layout maker. I am using Google Chrome, so I wonder if perhaps it is a glitch or maybe my computer is whack, but in short, I would like some help! :-)
The space between chapter titles can't be changed much, unfortunately – in the HTML, the chapter links are an ordered list, but the layout maker doesn't allow for altering the space between list items, so it's stuck at the default.

So all of my chapters' text are in a bluish color. That's not how I had it set up and it's not like that on the summary page. I have all the text settings set to the exact same color coding. I tried to look at the tutorial to see if I messed anything up but I haven't. Is there anyone else who has had this problem or some other way to fix it?

You have to edit the "link colour" in the "Chapters" tab.

That didn't help at all. I'm talking about on the actual chapter. Like here the text is blue. How do I fix that?

There's no blue text there. Anywhere on the layout.

Am I explaining it wrong? It's kind of glowing right? The text is suppose to be black instead of a bluish glowing color.

Oh, the text that you've hyperlinked turns a different colour so that other users are notified of it. You could change it by using a colour code, but it's not doing it correctly at the moment.
But on your story layout, it's fine.

Even though it's not a link? I had someone comment saying that the color was the bluish one, and when I went to the actual story it shows me the same color instead of the black.

There's no blue, unless you switch over to the default layout.
I just read the comment, and the actual text has a blue-ish tinge, but that's only due to the background that it's on.

I'm making a layout and I just put a picture into the "Title" box, I've adjusted the top and bottom padding for the picture but I still can't see the whole thing. :( Help.

For the whole image to show up, the top and bottom padding added together have to equal the height of the banner, and the content width has to at least equal the banner width. (You can check the banner's dimensions by right clicking and hitting "View image info" or "Properties" or something similar depending on your browser.) If it's still not showing up, could you perhaps post a screenshot?

I'm confused. Sad I click the picture on the layout or the actual picture from the source? I did both and nothing like that showed up. I don't have a banner, at least I mean, I didn't go make one.

Oh, it doesn't have to be a banner you made; whatever image you put in your title box that you're trying to get to show up. You can click it in the layout or on the source page – although I have to suggest that if possible, you download the image to your computer and then upload it to an image-hosting site (like imgur or photobucket); otherwise if the people who own the site you got the image from decide to move it, it'll disappear from your layout. Some websites block you from using their images, so that might be the reason why it's not showing up!

Oh okay, I'll probably just download it and then upload it to photobucket. I had been using the images from Tumblr and Pinterest. The image shows up just not all the way. If I add it to Photobucket, will it for sure show up? Or is it just a matter of...the picture's size?

You'll still need to adjust the padding and the content width, and you'll still need to find the dimensions of the image by right-clicking and going to Properties/View Image Info, but that way the image will stay put unless you delete it. (You can also find the dimensions by hitting "edit" in photobucket for the image and then selecting "resize"; the numbers that come up are the image's width and height in pixels.)

Okay, I just didn't have all the pixel dimensions right on the layout editor I guess. The size was like 700 by 450. There's a huge space between the summary and the picture. There's no way to change that other than the padding? The padding's already at 100 for both the top and bottom.

sometimes the text size and line height of the text can affect the height of the title section. Did you try fiddling around with those?

I figured it out. I had added an extra 0 on the bottom padding. Thanks. :)
