Which Historical Figure Would You Erase From Existence?

The Serbian terrorist group 'The Black Hand'. They were responsible for the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. And because of that, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. So Russia came to Serbia's defense and then Germany and Italy came to Austria-Hungary's defense which started WW1.

And because of the after affects of WW1 (Germany not allowed to have an army and whatnot) Hitler riled up the country and if not for the Black Hand maybe Hitler would have been like a writer or something instead of a raging psychopath.

    Well that's my opinion, anyway.

I'm going to say Hitler because of how many people were killed because of him.

Christopher Columbus. I think that if he didn't exist, the livelihood of many Africans, Native Americans, and Hispanics would be different.

Sometimes I want to erase countries, but that's not what this thread is about.

Just saying, not sure if anyone's said this but, the question is 'which historical figure' and well; God wouldn't be counted as a historical figure really. And if God didn't exist, then well, I don't personally see how that would stop lots of wars. Whether god is real or not we have somewhat free will. Free will implies free choice. Free choice implies really anything.
What's to say we can't start a war? Would that automatically be god's fault?
I kind of just don't see it.
Hitler hated Jews (and everyone else) but their religion was only part of it and even in that, 'god' is only part of the reason he hated them. I'm not even sure if it is.
I think, if anything then instead of saying 'god' it should've been religion 'cause some of the stuff that's being said... well it's more about religion, not the belief in god and that wars are started over religion, which may or may not include god, but majority isn't...
And if you can give me a war which is JUST about the god, even a war that is more than 50% started over and continued about god, then please do.

Just some personal opinion, sorry if I offended anyone.

His "Discourse on Method" is such an overrated pile of rubbish.

At least he should have restricted himself to mathematics.

I am aware that the creationist version of those events are unlikely to be accurate and it was more a general desire to stop humanity at the source. If that meant pouring paint thinner into all the primordial pools from which human life would evolve from then I would say that.

Wonder what the UK would be like if Margaret Thatcher had never come to power. But then comes the ever-long debate about whether or not what happened then - what with the eradication of unions and all that - would have happened anyway.

I'd also get rid of Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Pol Pot, history's bad guys. Not to say that the concentration camps and the Great Purge and everything else wouldn't have happened under someone else, but it would be interesting to see. And it would be fascinating if it weren't so awful.

I'd erase Jim Jones, founder of People's Temple. He ordered all his followers to commit suicide after some Journalists came to investigate the settlement. The journalists were murdered too. Only two people survived. I think I'd also want to get rid of Fred Phelps, head of the Westboro Baptist Church. What they're doing is wrong, not even religion can justify it. God might hate fags, we never know but didn't Jesus say to love your neighbour as yourself? What about the good Samaritan? They're all head cases, I think disgusting is the only word to describe them.

I don't think I'd erase Hitler, though. Yes, what he ordered was disgusting, cruel and despicable, but it had to happen. The horrors of the Holocaust taught the world some lessons - and if those lessons had never been taught, in this day and age with better weapons and satellites and wars becoming more violet, an act of such cruelty would be easier to carry out. I think, and please don't take this the wrong way, that Hitler made History a whole lot more interesting. I'm starting GCSE History next year and our first topic is the private life of Hitler. Had he not existed we'd be studying something like the Celts. He had a very important effect on the world, even though he's infamous for all the sick things he ordered.

I think about this so much. Personally, even if the unions etc. had happened, I think that things would probably still have been at least a little better now than they are so I guess she's the person I would erase from existence.
