Aha, yay! Mr. Green I wish the blog was a little more active, though, at least with the advice part of it. But it's hard to get something like that active. (although, it's not just an advice blog for 'kin. It's for everyone. That's why I put kin instead of otherkin. XD) But...yeah.

Hello! You can always feel free to ask me through comments, p.m's or through Tumblr if you have one! I'd prefer Tumblr if you do, and a link to my Tumblr is up on the original post towards the end! Mr. Green

I am finding this a little hard to believe, I'll have to admit. I mean, I enjoy the conceptualisation of myself as Dovahkiin but I am aware it's not factual. As much as I despise being part of the human race, the very skin I have on my back...what the hell can I do about it? It's a...movement(?) I've never heard of and the evidence given on one of the little blogs things...doesn't help their case, really.

The psychological article sounds interesting but I would need a full reference to chase that up since I've came across a lot of bad psych articles.

So, basically, what I am saying is...I don't get it and it does seem a little too connected to the Internet for me to take...seriously at this moment in time.

I just wanted to stop in and say hello everyone :) I'm not a Therian/'Kin, but I've got spiritual family that are and I wanted to say it's pretty rad you guys are trying to educate people about the Therian/Otherkin community. I was also wondering what you guys' opinions on the Sanguinarian/Psi Vamp thing? It's from personal experience, and I was hoping to connect with people of like-minds.

Anyway, thanks again for getting yourself out there :)

I constantly believe that I not actually human, and reading this, I finally have a name for it. I am an Otherkin, I believe. There are legitimate reasons why I think this, but I don't want to get into that. I do believe that spiritually, I share that of a spirit of a faery.

I'm sort of fascinated that I found this and can be open about it.

    @ joan.
I've only heard of otherkin before because Isa (The Way) and I discussed it once. Since I believe in reincarnation and I hope to be reincarnated as a creature not of this planet when I go on, I do believe it's highly likely that human souls have been the souls of creates that are not human before. I believe very small amounts of people can tap into that.

So, in other words, I believe that is is very likely in theory but most people who identify are probably ... not sure.

    @ dru's hammer.

Hmm. I can see why it would be possible in that sense but I'm having difficulty in it since I don't believe in souls.

I can understand to a degree someone identifying as a real animal but something that is not real?

I guess I'm just hugely skeptical of the whole issue. I tried looking in my uni library but only found a couple of references that weren't to do with the psychology of the issue at all.

Well, those people obviously believe those things are real. I believe aliens are real, angels are real because they're a type of alien, that there are all sorts of things in this universe that we don't know about or can't even begin to comprehend. Maybe stars have an actual soul. Who knows?

If you don't believe in souls, however, I can definitely see how it would be difficult to understand.

    @ dru is screaming.

Whilst I do believe we are not alone in the universe, it's kinda...limiting to suggest we would know what form they would take.

Although, you know how you said that stars might have a soul? Well, everything is created from stars. We are children of the stars. I dunno, it just sounded epic in my head, lol.

And you see where I am coming from.

That's why I said I think most people who self-identify are probably wishful thinkers. But to say it's impossible would be untrue because it can be proven or disproven.

    Bless thread.

I've never felt like I belong on this planet.
I don't think like most people - I don't care for anything about regular life, I care about the end, I care about the boiling centres of the stars, the vast reaches of the final legs of space and the frozen seconds at the end of a dream, I care about what will come next and what may never come at all.
    I'm a computer.
Not necessarily otherkin, but certainly nonhuman.
