I've been playing acoustic for a year and a half now. It's a Yamaha FG700S and I love it. Now that I think about it, it's probably time to change the strings... I can play some All Time Low, All American Rejects and Katy Perry's Thinking Of You, and a bunch of others, but mainly I play and write my own stuff.

:) I've been playing for about 5 years now, though I don't play as much as I used to every since I quit taking guitar as a class for school (what can I say, the high school teacher was a jerk). I've got my dad's old Fender DG-27SCE/BK elecoustic, a Yamaha C-45 M acoustic, and a Fender 60th Anniversary Strat. Haha they're all my gorgeous babies xD. I like playing a lot of songs with finger picking technique, like Dust in the Wind and such, but I also do a lot of rhythmic chord work (the kind of things Rodrigo y Gabriela do.)

I've played guitar since I was 10 and I'm now 17. My father is a guitar teacher so as you can imagine I learned pretty quickly because of all of the help I was able to receive. I am able to play electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar and classical guitar, though I prefer acoustic and classical. I am an A Level music student so I have done a number of solo performances during school time, but also I have played at festivals with my band (which no longer exist) and several battle of the bands.
I have several guitars. I have a Martin acoustic, Fender Stratocaster 1979, electric LTD, acoustic Yamaha and others that I care not to mention

I like playing the guitar because it is not only a hobby, but something that sets you apart from everyone else. Something that only YOU can do out of your group of friends. I like the feeling when people ask me to play songs for them because I guess my guitars are the only thing that give me an identity. I am currently taking part in a musical, I am playing acoustic guitar in the orchestra pit, and again, this is because I like the feeling of being relied upon, and also being part of something much bigger than myself.

    I love playing guitar :)

I've been playing the guitar since I was 13. I'm 17 now. I prefer acoustic rather than electric. I prefer to play classical and all. I'm very passionate about music and I take it seriously. I practice almost everyday and I never get tired of playing it. Well I guess if you're really committed to it, you're going to stick to it until the end.

I've played since 7. Electric all the way, because I like how I pluck softly but hear myself killing speakers. I'm passionate about playing, and music in general. I also write songs. Just ask this chick ^. Been in... 4 bands in my lifetime. Started on guitars, ended up on drums, see myself as a vital section on any instrument. I like being depended on to fix the show, and I like depending on people to finish it perfect.

    Oh, and hi. :)

I started playing guitar in my teens.
    I had a Jackson King V.
And I had 3 acoustics (don't remember any of the brands.)

The first song I learned to play was Times they are a'changin by Bob Dylan.
The second was definitely Brain Stew by Green Day. I know that one really doesn't count cause it's like, 3 chords. But I learned that one so I could play with my brother who'd played bass since we were kids.

I played Lean on Sheena by the Bouncing Souls.
I was really into playing Sex Pistols songs and I liked doing the Spiderman theme and the Ninja Turtles theme.:)

I gave guitar up when I was 20.
Because my Dad introduced me to it and I no longer speak with him.
I didn't want him to think he'd given me anything in life.
I sold all my guitars and I won't pick another one up.
I still have my favorite pick though. :/

I've been playing for about 3 years now, both electric and acoustic. Both of mine are knock offs of real brands but they still play like a charm! One is a purple Rikter acoustic and the other is a Harley Benton Stratocaster, and they both sound amazing.

I play a lot of metal music, so I can play a bunch of Avenged Sevenfold songs, which is quite the achievement because that shit is really hard! I've also just mastered 'It's Not You' and 'Dirty Work' by Halestorm- the next trick is just learning how to sing and play at the same time!

    I got my first guitar when I was 3, but I only pretended to play it. I got my first real one when I was 14, a light pink Fender Squire. I absolutely suck at it. I need to take lessons. I recently got a cheap acoustic guitar that my friend gave to me as well. I want to be really good but idk its really hard ; _ ;

I started less than six months ago, and adore it. I'm getting an acoustic for my birthday (not sure what brand or anything), as am currently loaning a family friend's electric. I believe it's a Gibson, but it's been customized to look like a Les Paul.
I can play almost every All Time Low song, quite a few of the Maine's, and I'm working on the finger picking of a few others.

I got my first guitar when I was 5. I got an electric guitar (don't recall which brand) when I was 13. I plan on learning how to play an acoustic guitar soon. It's funnny because I've always wanted to learn how to play the guitar but never got around to it.

After years of begging I got my first acoustic guitar when I was 8 I believe. It was too big for me at the time so I got a kid size one a year later. I had a book to teach me, but I suck at reading music. I stopped attempting to play until I was 14. I tried to teach myself again, but failed. My sophomore year in school I took a semester of guitar class and learned some notes. I probably would have actually learned to play if my friend didn't constantly talk to me and if I didn't get distracted. I then began teaching myself to read tab. I was learning Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day. I finally just gave up though. I hope one day to have an electric guitar and actually be able to play.

I've been playing since I was thirteen. When I finished my A-levels, my dad bought me a Gibson acoustic Hummingbird Custom KOA as a gift that I've had ever since. I do cherish it, I just sadly don't have much time to play anymore, but when I do I pretty much like to sit at the bay window in my kitchen and play Oasis songs to chill out because, of course, the first proper song I ever learned was Wonderwall, like everyone else who grew up in England in the 90s. I started learning guitar when I was around 13, I think. I got a pretty bad Radioshack electric guitar for my birthday and a 10 watt amp that broke down after a couple months. My parents didn't want to waste too much because they thought I wasn't going to be serious about it or something, so I started saving up money and got an Epiphone Les Paul and a 45 watt Marshall amp about a year and a half later. And then last year I saved up money, sold my first guitar, and bought an Ibanez GRG120BDX and I totally love it. It's super comfortable and sounds great In Love

I could never-ever-ever learn to read notes, though. I still have no idea how to do it so I just go by tabs.

I just got my Fender Strat Deluxe back from my grandpa (he had given me a loan on it years ago and I finally paid him back), and it's in horrible shape and needs a make over. So I bought a new pick guard for it, new strings, and have been trying to fix it up. BUT I also just bought a new 2014 Gibson Les Paul Traditional which is AMAZING and that's the one I do all my playing on. As for basses (which I play a lot more) I have a 2014 Musicman Stingray 4 with two humbuckers. Pacific Burst with matching headstock (which cost me an extra $300 but I wanted it to be perfect and now it is, lol). Then I just have a Sterling by Musicman Sub SB4 bass that I bought as a tide-me-over while I waited for my special order to come in (which took 3 months) and as a back up. Basically I keep my good ones in Drop-C and the back ups in standard.

As far as how long I've been playing, I bought my first guitar from Walmart when I was in 8th grade in 2002, and started taking lessons and starting to know what I was doing in 2003 (I got that Fender for my 14th birthday which was in May of 2003, beat the shit out of it during a panic attack or two in 2007). Started playing bass more in around 2007, but been plain both I'd say for about 11 years.

I've played guitar since I was about 12, and it's one of my favourite instruments. Over the year I've owned (and sold) several guitars and amps but I've cut it down a lot in the past few years. I've got a Freshman Apollo electro-acoustic in black that I've had since I was about 16 and honestly, I cannot see past it for acoustics. Action is low as get-out, the sound out of it is really bright and it looks lovely, aside from the chunk out of the lacquer that I accidentally caused while taking it to uni one day. I've also still got my very first electric guitar, which is an Epiphone SG with Emily the Strange graphics on it. It's a beautiful guitar but the whole thing needs properly sorted as I haven't done anything with it in ages and the action on it is ridiculously high. I've also got a Gibson SG Junior in a dusty red colour that I absolutely adore. I don't have a lot of space so I run them through a Orange micro-terror setup. For such a small amp, it really does have a lot of bite in it.

Save my first six months of playing, I haven't ever really had 'lessons', per se, so I'm mostly self-taught and probably have a lot of bad habits but hey, it got me through int 2, higher and advanced higher in school and then a whole music degree so I was obviously doing something right lmfao I'm a huge fan of playing acoustic stuff as I love the sound of fingerpicking etc and a lot of the stuff I had to do in AH music at school was fingerpicking: Blackbird by The Beatles and Galapogos by the Smashing Pumpkins, etc, so I tend to lean towards learning that kinda stuff but I do also know basically all of Green Day's back catalogue from back in the day, and I'm prone to hitting out with a Simple Plan song or two tehe

I just started learning to play the electronic guitar. This is a completely new experience for me. I love playing the guitar. Just as I love to travel. It’s very cool to be able to travel. I really missed travel during the lockdown and the period when the borders of some countries and even continents were closed. Traveling to the Arctic is incredibly cool and really cool fun. I recently read some helpful essays at https://samplius.com/free-essay-examples/entertainment/ that are about entertainment. There are many different types of it, but for me travel will always remain in the first place.
