Definitely more satisfied with this look. It looks more professional like the old Mibba did, I felt that the first update made it a bit tweeny. I have no problem with everything being wide since I've got a wide monitor. It definitely makes things easier to see. I just wish there wasn't so much white space on the right side (excluding the wide and obvious eyesore ads).

Is it just my screen resolution or are the male/female symbols really hard to see? Could they be a little bolder. I've already had a few mistakes calling males females by accident. Facepalm XD

I like the new layout! One thing is the facebook and other social networks on the upper right. I feel like that went a little too far. But other than that, great!

One question: how can I view to see who recommended my stories? I tried the rec page but I can't find it.

    @ Nick.
Yeah, they are a little faded it looks like.

    @ Mrs. Whirly
Go onto the story you want, then click the Recommendations button. It's between the Comments and Author buttons. It should also have a number on it telling you how many people have recommended it.

    she's so high.:
I like all the changes to new Mibba as well. I only have a problem with the ad spaces, I feel as though they suffocate Mibba's actual content to one side of the page. Not to mention there's now a top and bottom ad. It makes the space on the page seem very cramped. But that's just me.
That would be my problem with this too! I know Mibba has bills and needs those adds for help, but they are annoying especially with Mibba being so wide now. My laptop screen is wide enough and full screen doesn't help at all, so I have to shrink the browser just for it to look decent.

right this is my second comment and i believe that you have made this new layout to suit it on mobiles & well yes it works on phones now...
but it does NOT work for internet.
seriously, change it back. its so bland and wide and the text is tiny!
i didn't like the new layout but this is even worst, so so so worst.
the ads stand out so much on this site now. that is the only thing i see when i come on here now.
the new mibba was WAY better than this, and i was rooting for the old mibba to come back, but i much prefer the new, this layout is terrible! totally gone down hill from here. there was nothing wrong with the new mibba. this is ridiculous. please just change it back!

My only complain is the font. It is too small in some stories, so if that could be changed back to the way it was that would be awesome. But yeah, might not happen, but it would be totally rad of you!

The ads help pay for Mibba; it's actually better that there's more of them here.

Where, exactly, does the text seem tiny to you? Also, what are you using Mibba on? I'm on Chrome and the front looks fine.

    @ CharmedLuna
The tiny text might be the result of a custom layout. Try switching it to the standard layout next time you're on a story that seems like it has tiny text, and see what happens.

oh i know it helps pays, that's what all ads are for, more the merrier! but because everything has gone so bland and pale, the ads stand out against the whole website.
i'm using chrome as well. & on my mibba home page. the updates, the font is tiny! the space hasn't been used properly on here at all now. its been changed to suit for mobiles, totally not cool. what was wrong with the mibba layout before? they vowed that it wasn't going to change. we've all just gotten used to that layout and now this comes?

I cannot! *slowly bashes head against the wall* Old old mibba is crying over this. I finally got used to old new mibba and now this? New new mibba, why you so bland and flawed?

Messages are 'broken'. You get the notification that you have new messages but when you go to messages, it doesn't show which ones have been responded to.

Stories aren't appealing and pretty. What is up with the giant search bar and the abundance of links all over the stories? It ruins the whole feeling. It clutters it and makes it less of a book type feeling and more of a, well I don't know, something not great in any case.

Please, please please please please! Stop messing with mibba, it doesn't need to be changed anymore. I miss the ugly yet incredibly comforting blue and orange!

No no no! I adored the other layout! Event he layout before the last one!

This wideness and like bareness and whiteness is not flattering.
And what happened to the Mibba lady button! Mibba looks naked now.
This might look great on mobile or ipods or ipads but it looks hideous on a computer.

I'd rather go back to the ugly blue and orange than this! This is why I stayed away from fanfic, not Mibba too. x.x

I have to agree with others here. The whole revamp was just unnecessary in my eyes. The home page, forums and profile pages look a mess because I use ad block so I have this gaping space on the side of my page and there's too much going on at the top of the story page. And why would anyone in their right minds want to share their stories through Facebook or Twitter? I honestly don't see what was wrong with the old OLD Mibba.

Ugh! I was just getting used to the new Mibba before this! But you change it again. I have to say, the new Mibba is alright. But I liked the new Mibba before this new mibba came.. If you get me.

I'm usually alright with Mibba's changes, be it layout changes or whatever, and I've been okay with Mibba 2.0's layout so far, but...

Could the ad spaces please be narrower but longer, instead of square-ish? Most pages are really long anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem? There wouldn't be so much blank white space on the right when you scroll down, too. It irks me how the forum posts and comments look so narrow now, unless I make my browser really wide, which is inconvenient and annoying for me.

I'm not very keen on how there's so much going on at the top when you're reading a story (the navigation links and all); it's pretty distracting. But I guess that'll just take some getting used to. I would personally love it if we could choose to show/hide the navigation at the top, though, like how we have the option to show/hide comments on the right.

One more thing: Is it just me, or are some of the images/links missing/broken somehow...? I can't see my own profile picture on my profile. In the public (stories/poems/blogs) layouts sections, fewer than half of the preview images are showing up. Also, the "preview" links don't seem to be working in the blog layouts section.

Other than that, I think Mibba 2.0 is great so far. Mr. Green I especially love how we can see which users have recommended a particular story and all. Also, the mobile version of Mibba is awesome. Very Happy

I'm still upset over how the subscriptions section, though. Sad I'd love for it to show "active/inactive" again so I can tell which updates I've read and which I haven't, and for there to be a choice to view them in different orders, like alphabetical or last updated, or maybe even according to author. I hope there's an update for stuff like that. :3

And lol, it saddens me that people are saying that they really don't like the new Mibba layouts, and prefer the old, "ugly blue and orange" site layout. I think all versions of Mibba have looked great. ...was I the only one who thought the blue and orange looked good...? ._.

Mibba 2.0 is really similar to Mibba 1.0 though, so it's not like it's a drastic change.

But anyway, if you can't stand the ads, why don't you get an ad blocker? For Chrome, you can get one here, or just google it. I'm using an ad blocker on Safari.

The fonts don't look tiny to me; which parts are you talking about? If they're tiny, though, try zooming in in your browser? On my Mac I use "command, +/=" to do that whenever I need to; if you're using Windows, maybe it's "Ctrl, +/="?

It's not like the entire site layout has been changed so that it suits mobiles; if it were, you wouldn't be able to switch between "mobile version" and "full site". Trust me, on mobiles, the "full site" version is way too wide for convenience. And even if you don't use a phone/etc to go on Mibba, I think we should all be grateful that there is a mobile version because it makes it a lot more convenient for those who do. I rarely use my phone to go on Mibba - I only did so earlier just to try out the mobile version - but I'm glad that there is one for those who do.

I like this new new mibba as well. It's easier to access different pages on my mobile. Also, I don't have to keep seeing the creepy girl. :D It's also much more easier to use! :)

Thank you so much improving Mibba! :D And looking forward to more! ;)
    Aightball:
Which site are we looking at? I don't understand all these "I like the new Mibba" comments. It's too wide, it's too white, and there are lot of changes that could be made to make it better. Which SEVERAL of us have suggested but most of which have been ignored.

I do hope that, at the least, this color scheme goes. It's far too bright and I agree it's too wide. I wouldn't call it simple, because I'm still lost and can't find half the stuff I used to have.
Oh... well... I was looking at the "new new" Mibba through my mobile, as I've stated in my comment before. And if you haven't checked Mibba on your phone, there's no wide-ness. All the stories are lined into a list with the story icon and its summary. It's easier to see and easier to click on with my finger instead of having to enlarge the story link in order to read the story. :)

But now that I am on the site on my computer, I see that things are a bit too wide and white. But I usually check out stories through my mobile and comment on them so I was just merely happy that Mibba decided to work on
a "Mobile Mibba" as Dujo wrote in the beginning of this forum page.

Mibba is now much more easier to read on mobile... and it's sort of close to reading an ebook. :)

    @ november rain;
i didn't say i couldn't stand the ads, i said that they STAND OUT, as in its the first thing your eyes lock to on this site because everything else is so small, bland and pale.
i have my zoom set to the right amount. if i zoom in anymore it makes everything longer to scroll. & then the stories on here are completely zoomed in. it doesn't work.
this site has changed to suit for those who use mobile. it was being asked for the site to be usable on a mobiles. so instead of changing it for it to be usable couldn't an app been created instead of this awful layout?
the orange and blue worked with this site. its horrible now. its bland, pale and wide. while i like the top with the large icon buttons, everything else is just too wide and the space hasn't been used properly.
it was perfect before. i really am so disappointed with it now.
it looks like a business site. bland and boring.

proof that this site looks better on a phone, NOT on the computer.
create an app for the phone and put the mibba back to normal!
