Okay, so if you don't like how they stand out, get an ad blocker?

Where exactly is the font too small? The font sizes have been perfectly fine for me.

Like I said, there's a difference between the "mobile version" and the "full site" version. So no, the layout wasn't changed just to suit mobiles. The "mobile version" was made for that. It's pretty inconvenient to use the "full site" version (the version you're on now) on your mobile phone; I've tried it.

If it looks like a business site, that probably just means that it looks more professional now, which is a compliment. I personally don't think it's too pale. The site looks neater now, and more user-friendly too.

Totally agree with you! :D Mibba should make an app for phones! :D
I'm not really sure about putting Mibba back to normal though... maybe put it back to normal sans the creepy girl image near "Mibba Creative Writing".
She starts to look a bit creepy at night when I'm reading Mibba on my phone. Especially since she used to pop up first before any other link or story. lol.

i think you've got something mixed up here...
i'm saying that the layout has been changed so it can be used properly on phones. it doesn't work on computers.

    @ CecileJ
exactly! like you said, i looks good on phones but not computers. there should be an app for phones and the site to go back to how it was before, as in a good looking site. now its bland, wide, pale colours and so ugly.

Lol, are you even aware that there's a "mobile version" and a "full site" version?

I'm sorry to complain because I'm sure you guys have been up to a lot of work making new new Mibba better and more accessible, but can we go back to the old old MIbba with easy profile layouts and beter colors and just cut all the uber fancy stuff out? Or at least make some of the personalization easy. Thank you for trying to make this better though! :)

Which site are we looking at? I don't understand all these "I like the new Mibba" comments. It's too wide, it's too white, and there are lot of changes that could be made to make it better. Which SEVERAL of us have suggested but most of which have been ignored.

I do hope that, at the least, this color scheme goes. It's far too bright and I agree it's too wide. I wouldn't call it simple, because I'm still lost and can't find half the stuff I used to have.
Maybe some people have a different opinion.

I like the new Mibba, although I liked the "creepy girl" on the banner. I can finally see who's recommending my stories! And the navigation is a lot better. I don't think it's too wide, either.

i didn't say i couldn't stand the ads, i said that they STAND OUT, as in its the first thing your eyes lock to on this site because everything else is so small, bland and pale.
i have my zoom set to the right amount. if i zoom in anymore it makes everything longer to scroll. & then the stories on here are completely zoomed in. it doesn't work.
this site has changed to suit for those who use mobile. it was being asked for the site to be usable on a mobiles. so instead of changing it for it to be usable couldn't an app been created instead of this awful layout?
the orange and blue worked with this site. its horrible now. its bland, pale and wide. while i like the top with the large icon buttons, everything else is just too wide and the space hasn't been used properly.
it was perfect before. i really am so disappointed with it now.
it looks like a business site. bland and boring.
THIS!!! I don't use it on my phone, thus I don't want the computer site to look like a mobile site. I vote for an app as well; then, people that want it can have it and those of us that don't can have a colorful, appropriately sized computer website.

And that's fine. But this site is now best for phones (and there may be two different websites now, but they are identical to me) and that's not good for computer people. I don't use Mibba on my phone so I don't want a mobile site on my computer. Just put it back to Mibba before all the changes and we'll get along just fine. Clearly, with all the negative responses in this thread, this change isn't working.

I'd say based on all the positive responses, it's going pretty well....
    Mr. Tony Stark.:
New new Mibba looks awesome! :D
    millyx:
I like it. The creepy girl on the homepage is gone. :D
    She Said Poptarts:
Why is it so wide? XD

I like the new new Mibba though.
    capture me inside.:
This is actually pretty cool! But I agree with what one of the previous folks who posted said, why is it so wide? It seems a bit odd now like that. Not entirely bad, just odd.

I do love that I can see who recommended stories now. And how many comments are on a blog.
    castiel's vessel:
Yay for no more layout changes! Mr. Green It looks nice, though, a bit white but nothing I can't get used to. :)
    Marilyn Manson.:
I like it. It's easier on the eyes, though I did like seeing a little splash of color on the various links and buttons on New Mibba. But New new Mibba is pretty cool too.
    Renavelia:
I am loving this new layout! Thank you so much. It is definitely better on my iPod now.
    dexter:
Mibba's Mibba, it's awesome no matter what. :3
    xSweet.Afterlifex:
I love this new new Mibba. It's gonna take gettting used to just like the old new Mibba, but I'll adjust. It freaked me out at first though. Because I was on Mibba then refreshed the page.

I find navigation of the site much easier now. And it just figures I download Google Chrome to make layouts and you go and fix it so that I could've used Internet Explorer and others. Oh well, what's done is done.
    WriteToLive:
I actually really like the Mibba updates. Yes, it's a change we'll all have to adjust to, but its worth it to get such an amazing final product which I'm sure we'll see soon (right, Dujo...?). Smile
    Siriano;:
Needs a pop of orange, but it's better than the original new Mibba. :)

It's easier to navigate and feels more usable, it just feels like it's missing something. A bigger or more fun-looking font on the masthead maybe.
    CecileJ:
I like this new new mibba as well. It's easier to access different pages on my mobile. Also, I don't have to keep seeing the creepy girl. :D It's also much more easier to use! :)

Thank you so much improving Mibba! :D And looking forward to more! ;)
    Nick.:
Definitely more satisfied with this look. It looks more professional like the old Mibba did, I felt that the first update made it a bit tweeny. I have no problem with everything being wide since I've got a wide monitor. It definitely makes things easier to see. I just wish there wasn't so much white space on the right side (excluding the wide and obvious eyesore ads).

Is it just my screen resolution or are the male/female symbols really hard to see? Could they be a little bolder. I've already had a few mistakes calling males females by accident. Facepalm XD
    Mrs. Whirly:
I like the new layout! One thing is the facebook and other social networks on the upper right. I feel like that went a little too far. But other than that, great!

One question: how can I view to see who recommended my stories? I tried the rec page but I can't find it.

That's not very many. I've seen more negative than positive responses. Most of us don't like this. It's time for it to go. Get more color back. This site hurts the eyes. And at this point, I think it's time for a few changes to be made that go back toward Old Mibba. People are unhappy. Let's do something about that.

Everything is so wide and too bright... it's bothering my over-sensitive eyes and OCD to be honest. I keep wanting to hit my computer because the ads/white space on the site is driving my OCD crazy, like I want to put something there to make it stop. Hence why I've actually been avoiding Mibba since it changed yesterday...

I like the new navigation bar updates, but I do agree that it's a little too wide and a little too white. It might just be my dodgy eyesight and wide-ish screen but the off-centre-ness and empty white spaces are a little off-putting.

    @ Aightball

It seems about the same as how many are complaining. There's more who like it on the journals too. And those who might not go on the forums and such. Shifty

    @ Zachary Merrick.

I like those too! They're really pretty. It's not just your eyesight or wide screen. It's the same for everyone, even me, and I have a really small screen. XD

I actually really dig the new Mibba. Its neat, organized, and pretty user-friendly. Obviously, we'll have to get used to it... I would agree that its a little too white/bright, and a touch too wide, but even Dujo said that they're still working on stuff. There's a lot of changes still to come. :)

The only complaint I really have with the new new Mibba is that I don't see a 'prequel' or a 'sequel' button. I don't know if I'm just over looking it (I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the most observant person in the world), or if it really isn't there.

Other than that, yeah, it's a bit on the bright side, but it's nothing I can't fix with the brightness settings on my laptop.

The new new Mibba seems ok. I just don't like how story layouts aren't there anymore. That should definitely be fixed.
