I love this movie. When I first saw it I wouldn't quit watching it. I probably watched it fifteen times in a week. So great.<3 My friend likes it too and she hates japanese animation (:o I don't know why either).

I'm trying to persuade somebody to go see it on stage when I go back to London because it looks like it will be an incredible piece of theatre

I don't like the book at all, but I love the movie. It was my first Miyazaki film and it's probably my favorite or else it's tied with Ponyo.

I absolutely love this movie. I haven't read the book--I actually didn't know there was one until for dru's being. said that--but this movie is just beautiful. This, Spirited Away, and Ponyo are just lovely, and I really want to see more of the Miyazaki films. :)

I was pretty upset when they took this movie off of Netflix.
It was my only way to see it!
I've been looking to buy it online, but I keep coming up with the Japanese version. Sorry

    Spoiler alert?
I watched the film two days ago and I want to ask: What spell is Howl under?

    Why did he became a 'bird-man' ?

Why did he let Calcifer have his heart?

Why did Sophie's appearance became old but sometimes revert back to her normal appearance and the appearance of a mature woman?
I was asking myself the same questions.
Still think the movie's amazing, but I need to watch it more times to fully understand it.

You should be able to get it offline pretty easily. I just checked ebay and was able to pull up several. I also know at one point I could locate it on Amazon.

I read online that Sophie appeared to be her true self when she showed her love for Howl.

Yeah, normally I find stuff pretty easily.
I don't know why it was so hard for me to find the right version.
    I'll keep looking. (:

Just make sure you're checking the DVD region and not the genre. 'Japanese' is considered a genre.

    @ of dru's being.
The way I was figuring out if it was the right version was by checking the actors.
I know Christian Bale plays Howl, and the versions I was finding had all Japanese actors.

EDIT: Found it on BestBuy.com. tehe
