Is it weird that I have a bird who I treat like my baby? I mean, I've called him 'Baby Boy' since I got him. Lol. He says 'Pretty, pretty, pretty' and 'Pretty: Boy/bird/birdy/idiot/just about any word he knows since he likes to say Pretty' 'Idiot' 'I love you' 'Who are you?' 'Asher' 'Dang it!' 'WHAT? (Like a screaming 'What')' and he dances, give you kisses when you say 'Gimme kisses!' and (attempts) to sing.

Do any of you have or want a bird? Or am I just weird and love my bird to much?

I used to have two budgies. Rocky and Charlie.
Charlie kept changing gender (Supposedly) because the crest above his/her nose went from brown to blue several times. (Brown is a girl, Blue is male.)
Rocky was a tiny, yet super old multicoloured yellow, green and blue male who was foul tempered and always angry. He was a grouchy old man.

My uncle used to have a super evil grey parrot. Seriously, it was pure evil. It wouldn't bite, but it would glare and squark and charge at you and flap in your face. And to make it worse, my uncle has a bit of a foul mouth, and the parrot had picked up on it, so occasionally, if someone walked into the room it'd say "Fuck off."

I used to have a light yellow parakeet named Lemonade. I bought it from Petsmart and at first I was like "Yay a birdie!". But then I realized that it was the meanest bird in the world. I say it because the petsmart people couldn't tell if it was a he or she. They were like if its beak is skin is dark its a boy but if its light its a girl...Lemonade's beak was gray...-.-

Anyway he was super mean no matter what I did. If I stuck my hand in there to refill his water he would go psychotic and try to rip my skin off. And he would screech a lot. Sometimes I whistled and he would tweet back but then i guess he realized who I was and started screeching again.

Anyway in the end I got a cat and she started harassing him, no matter where I put him. But she was protective of him too (In a dinner kind of fashion). One day a huge black cat came to the window and was like staring Lemonade down, and my cat, Kiba came and started hissing like crazy, until the other cat left. (I tried to shoo it away but it just stared at me T.T)

Yeah, but one day while Kiba was sleeping, Lemonade was tweeting and just being all bird like, when suddenly he stopped. I quickly went to his cage to see if the black cat had returned but no.

Lemonade was dead on the bottom of his cage. :< He wasn't even that old. (Then again the petsmart employee didn't know how old he was so he could have been a elderly bird)

Oh my gosh! 'Fuck off'?! Lol that would be hilarious, my bird almost learned how to say that. -_- I said it all the time to my parents (under my breath of course) and he almost said it when they were in my room.

    @ iBleedSarcasm
I'm sorry. =( They didn't think Asher was gonna live cause he got kicked out of the nest by his 'Siblings', and they normally don't live after that. And you named your cat 'Kiba' I love it! It would be funny if it acted like a dog. >XD

My grandparents have a parrot called Murphy, who is the most pathetic bird to exist. He only ever spoke once in his life (my grandad got him for his 50th birthday, and even then he was quite old) by saying the word 'hello'. We've all tried everything to get him to speak again, but nothing works. He has default sounds which he always makes though, such as laughing, squarking, and a kind of squark in a tune. He also can't fly properly, and when we look after him we try and help him by throwing him down the stairs. He flies all the way down, but keeps going straight into the porch door.

No one knows whether Murphy is male or female, since with parrots there has to be a specific feather or something which determines the gender, and it costs a lot to get it checked, so we all just call him a male.

He's actually a really nice bird, so long as he takes a liking to you. He loves me, and likes to eat my hair when he's on my shoulder and get lots of attention. He only ever bit me once, and it was in a playful way so he didn't draw blood. If he doesn't like you and bites you properly, then you might want to get to the hospital...

I have an eclectus parrot. He's aaaawesome. Cool

    He can say:

"Do you need to do a poo? Are you suuure? GOOD BOY! You did a poo!"
    "I'll fuck you up!"
    "Look! Wow..."
    "Oh no you got me!"
    "Ouch!"
    "Where's Leeroy? Peek-a-boo!"
    "Oh no, who's that?"
    "Tickle tickle"
    "Gotcha!"
"I'm gonna pull your head off!"
    "I love you." <3
    "Do you wanna cuddle?"
    "You're beautiful"
    "You're gorgeous"
"Wee wee wee wee all the way home"
    "Pew pew pew"
    "What's that noise?"
    "Shut up!"
"Get in your bed!" (directed at our dog, haha)
    "Are you tired? Bedtime. Goodnight."
    "Goodnight bub."
    "Good morning"
"Are you hungry? Do you want your dinner?"
    "Yummy yummy!"
    "HI LEEROY!"
    "Do you want a shower!?"
"Look at you... you're all WET!"
    "Shake."
    "Look what you did!"
    "Bitchin'"
    "Woo!"
"What are you doing? Being naughty."
"Step up. Quickly! Quick! Leeroy, step up."
"Look how big you are. You're really big!"
    "Mwah!"
    "Not good enough."
    "Well?"
"Whoops! Did you fall on your bottom?"
    "NO. NAUGHTY."

    and my favourite:
"Look at your beautiful wings" <3

    He's talking here:

So to answer your question, @Emo Valley Girl yes, I have a bird and I also treat him like a baby :P

Update: Edison can talk. He says 'What're you doing?' in a squeaky voice. It's adorable.

I had two finches when I was a little kid. Their names were Messy and Dessy. Shifty (I was, like, six when I named them...) They were so cute and energetic but they'd always get out of their cage, and it'd be a hassle to get them back in. XD

Oh my god I have three now. I just keep racking in the birds I guess. Volta is the third bird and he's evil but I love him. He also says, "What are you doing?"
