Anyone like Classic Rock Bands?

This is a thread for discussing your favorite classic rock bands that were from before your time. Such as the 80's, 70's, 60's, etc. Have fun and tell me what you love about these bands and your favorite songs.

For me, my favorite classical rock bands are Genesis and the Beatles. Though I mainly like Genesis because it not only launched the careers of Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, but the songs that these men sang back in the 70's told such beautiful stories and of course, after Peter left, the banded headed into the Pop genre, giving them a new kind of edge.

I LOVE Aerosmith <3 Hmm... Journey, Queen, Bon Jovi....

It really depends on my mood; I could be up for anything in classic rock from Def Leppard to Jimi Hendrix. It's all good to me! With "aged" music, I find that I'm not too picky. Though, 80s music always has a special place in my heart though, anytime, anywhere!

I agree with Usako. I can listen to anything from the 80s, 70s, and 60's. Even the 50's and 40's. Today's music is just... not as good XD

I've been listening to classic rock such as Def Leppard all my life as well as Boston, Styx, REO Speedwagon and 38 Special. Then from heavy metal I love Ozzy and Judas Priest. And 80's rock ballads will always have a special place in my heart XD

Recently I've been getting into Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, her voice is just amazing.

I love literally ALL music no matter what it is, but the old stuff has kind of a special place in my heart. The Beatles, John Lennon is my hero. Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and The Police I've always loved. Imagine how thrilled I was to find out that Stewart Copeland composed the soundtrack for the Spyro the Dragon trilogy. He's brilliant. ♥ Frank Sinatra is wonderful, too. So much music...

My favorite classic rock band of all time is Lynyrd Skynyrd. But I also love AC/DC, Queen, RUSH, Heart, Creedence Clearwater Revival, among many others!

I love anything that's played on Gold 104.3and most of the stuff on Triple M. I was raised on it. As well as KISS. I can't remember many others, mostly because I don't know them by artist or song name, rather by lyrics and the instrumentals.

Oh man, I love classic rock! Queen is #1 on my list. I also love AC/DC, Journey, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, KISS, Ram Jam, Autograph, Billy Idol, and various songs by various artists. I love the big chorus and whine of the guitars that was often present in a lot of 70/80's rock bands.

The best of rock is the classics from the 60s 70s & 80s. From The Beatles to Black Sabbath to Alice Cooper to KISS. Aerosmith, AC/DC, Poison, Motley Crue, Motorhead, Bon Jovi, Lita Ford, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and I'm only scratching the surface!
Bands today just..most of them don't seem to have the same energy and magic that the old bands have. I really hope rock can get that back someday without just relying on the old bands to bring it.

I love the Beatles & The Monkees (yeah I know most people don't see them *the Monkees* as "classic rock" but they are to me so yeah)

I was raised on this kind of stuff so like others, it has a special place in my heart. Namely, bands like Van Halen (and Van Hagar, I love both), Yes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Three Dog Night, and J. Geils Band. I have to say though, my all-time favorite classic rock musician is Bruce Springsteen & the E. Street Band.
