What do you think about the upcoming movie called Warm Bodies, and has anyone read the novel?

I 've seen these trailers promoting the movie several times before, and it has two components that I'm already interested in: One being a zombie apocalypse. Who doesn't love a good old end-of-the-world with the dead risen kind of zombie apocalypse? Lawless, fast-paced, and awesome are one of the few words I can think of to describe that kind of world.

Another thing that I kind of like about this movie? It would be the fact that I have never heard of a zombie romance centered movie before. I'm a bit on the fence about this one, though the movie Warm Bodies seems to have an awesome combination of romance, action, adventure, jump-scares of mutated baddies, comedy, lovable characters and zombie-killing. Sure, I know that there's books about fluffy zombie romance - and those were off-putting to me before. I had scoffed at the idea. It was ridiculous. It made me lose hope for any supernatural species ever invented of being spared from the supernatural romance YA genre.

Dear God, I thought, dropping to my knees. They've finally done it. They crossed the threshold of werewolves, vampires, faeries, devils, ghosts, and angels, and have finally done the impossible - make romance novels for ZOMBIES! How?! Why? Zombies are bloodthirsty, flesh-rendering, mindless killers that, when in swarms, can send the most hardened of men whimpering! They're dead! D-E-A-D. No pulse, no signs of vitals, their skin is literally rotting from their bones! WHY DID THE AUTHORS OF YA DO THIS TO ME!?

Commence inner turmoil and spasm-induced thrashing.

But I have confidence that Warm Bodies can pull off a good rating.

So, back to the first question: what do you think about Warm Bodies' trailers and novel? Is it worth watching, or would you write it off as preposterous? Would this cause a new torrent of zombie romance novels on a market to overthrow dystopian genre novels in YA?

I adored the book, so I was really excited that there was going to be a film (especially since Nicholas Hoult plays the main character), but then I watched the trailer and my excitement vanished. It doesn't look great.

I originally didn't like the idea when my boyfriend told me about the film but now I'm kind of curious about watching it.
The trailors look good although they are being majorly overplayed.

I'm not going to see it, I thought it looked kinda bad compared to the books.

Then there's the whitewashing where they changed a character who was half-Ethiopian and described as having 'coffee coloured skin' is now being played by a white model.
