Julieta jumped a little as her phone vibrated in her pocket. She was in one of those classes that the teacher was a stickler and even if she was caught just holding her phone she would probably have it taken away, but she didn't care. She pulled her phone out of her pocket just enough that she could read who the text was from. She saw "Caden" on screen and pulled it out of her pocket. She sat in the back of the class anyways so she didn't care. Reading it, she agreed instantly. She had heard rumors about Betty's granddaughter coming to town and she figured she might as well be courteous to the Were family. After the bell had rang, she hurried out of class and walked only a few steps down the hall to where she found Tobi. She watched her as her eyebrows scrunched together while looking at the map. "Hi!" She intercepted her with a sweet smile on her face. "You look like you need some help! Could I be of any assistance?"

Caden smiled a lot as he waited for Julieta to answer. If she said yes, he would be set and he could get to fix things between Tobi and him. His heart was beating fast as his phone vibrated and he closed his eyes as he hit the open button. If she refused, he was screwed... Devyn had leaned in to read the text as well and he jostled Caden's shoulder so that Caden opened his eyes excitedly. He felt a sense of relief when he saw the "yes" text that she had sent back. When the class had finally ended he smirked slightly. He had successfully gotten through a class talking and not even learning anything... At least he knew Tobi could be safe. He walked out of the classroom but kept his distance when he was met with her dark hair and brown eyes. He stopped and slid up against the wall so he could see her but she wouldn't notice him... He breathed out in relief when he saw his friend, Julieta, approaching the annoyed looking Toni as she studied her map. He prayed to God that all things would go well...

As a voice sounded, practically in her ear, Tobi nearly jumped, looking up to find a girl standing in front of her, a smile on her face. She had dark hair, a lot like Tobi, herself, but with much darker skin it seemed and startling bluish silver eyes that caught her off guard. Her first impression was that she reminded her a lot like Caden- they seemed to share the same sort of personality or air about her or something...She gave up trying to guess though, because this whole town seemed to set her mind into some sort of cacophony, and she couldn't think about anything straight. Holding her map uncertainly, she thought for a moment on what she should do, before she just let herself relax and give a small smile. "Hi. Thanks for the offer, but I've been doing this after every class. This map is hard to read, but I'm managing," she assured the girl, then realized she was probably being rude because she didn't know her name. "It's nice to meet you though. My name is Tobi."

Julieta smiled at Tobi kindly as she refused her offer. She could practically hear Caden growl in annoyance from quite a distance down the hallway and she had to control herself from rolling her eyes at it. "I'm Julieta." She responded kindly and waved slightly. She knew Caden so well; if this girl had argued with Caden as easily as she had just refused her, she knew that he would probably have been quite annoyed by it right away. Especially if he liked this girl... Unlike him, she was wiser and wouldn't go into completely guilt trip mode or force. Human girls were quirky, Julieta had often noted, so you had to handle them differently. If only Caden knew these tricks he would surely have every girl in the school after him - he practically did already. Julieta knew that with girls you couldn't overwhelm them. The best thing to do was to try to not overwhelm them, which she knew had probably been Caden's downfall. Girls didn't like to be forced into something, but the more indifferent someone acted towards them, the more they wanted it. It apparently worked for boys too, since this girl already had Tobi wrapped around her finger, but she only smirked at the though. "Well okay Tobi. You seem to have everything together quite well. I'll leave you to your classroom searching." She said then, and started to step backwards slightly.

Unlike Julieta, Tobi didn't have the senses of a werewolf and didn't hear Caden or even suspect that he was there since he hadn't shown up. As their small conversation continued she started to like the girl in front of her. What she had thought earlier about her seeming a lot like Caden practically disappeared. At first she seemed to be...well, overly enthusiastic, but she almost seemed calm too now that she had a chance. Tobi thought about her offer for another moment as Julieta made to leave, actually admitting to herself that she was starting to become tired of finding her way around by a map that felt as if it weren’t working right. She watched Julieta take a couple of slow steps back with her lips pressed together before she gave a small shake of her head at herself, trying not to focus on what she was getting into as she took a small step forward. "Actually if you really wouldn't mind helping me, this map is a bit hard to read. Sorry if I seemed rude earlier...I met someone who seemed to come off as strong as you did at first, and I was hoping to avoid another situation like that," she explained, feeling her cheeks flush as she glanced at her feet for a moment.

Julieta continued a few slow steps backwards as she watched Tobi struggle with herself. Just as she had said, indifference was the key to success with these petty human girls and she felt quite satisfied as Tobi shook her head at herself in a struggle. She liked this girl already, as she seemed to be a strong-willed girl who would probably make a good friend, but she almost wondered what Caden saw in her. He was always the one who was lecturing them about humans being bad... Did he know how many guys she had turned down because of Caden's words in her ear?! And now here he was breaking his own rules - relative of a Were or not... Still she understood and was happy to help Caden since he was a good friend. She smirked slightly though as Tobi gave in to her offer finally. "Well of course I'd still love to show you around. I'm surprised a pretty girl like you doesn't have multitudes of people flocking around you to help you already! Meet any nice people already today?" She inquired. Sure, Caden had only really asked her to help him get Tobi to come to lunch with him, but if he was so into her, might as well ask a few questions and see what she thought about him...

Tobi gave Julieta a small smile as she replied that she would still be willing to show Tobi around. While she had tried to deny the fact that she was lonely and needed to make friends when she had first come here, remembering about the pain of losing her stepdad earlier made a sort of realization come into her, along with all of the new people she was around and the new environment. She simply just couldn't stay in isolation any longer. Her mom and Grandma Betty had ensured that by sending her to a new school, where she would have to talk to people because she was the new girl. And despite what she had said to Caden earlier about if she did want to make a friend she would go to him, it looked like Julieta might be the first person because of the simple fact that she happened to be there at the time. Giving a small smile, she shook her head a bit at what the other girl said. "I've been pretty unaproachable all morning. I haven't really told anyone here, but it's bound to be found out after a while, but a couple of months ago my stepdad died. Only he was like a real dad to me, and he's pretty much the reason who I am. The only reason I'm here is because my mom was worried for me," she said, glancing down at her feet. "But please, don't say anything. I don't want people to feel sorry for me. Here to make a new start, right?" She looked up at Julieta with a small smile, and thought about her last question. "Hmm, I don't know. You...one other person before you. I think I scared him off though."

Julieta smiled a little and was quite shocked by the story of her stepdad. "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry!" She said quickly. She knew all too well that losing family members hurt. Her parents had both been Weres and she remembered the day that she watched her mother die from the little crack in the corner of the door of the closet that she was hiding in. She didn't know who had had such a grudge against her mother - still didn't actually - but she knew the pain that had been caused by it. It was hard losing a parent, at any age... She hadn't been trying to make Tobi confess her whole life story to her right then and there - she had only been teasing. Still, she felt bad and cursed Caden silently for not warning her of this... But then it occurred to her that maybe be didn't know himself, since he obviously had gotten to such a good place with her. "I know what you mean. It's tough losing a parent." She was glad she met Tobi now especially because she could tell she was struggling with it, and at least Julieta could be there to offer a helping hand through this difficult time. Remembering what she was supposed to be doing to help Tobi, she asked, "So what class are you supposed to be going to? Oh, and maybe on the way there you should tell me about this 'him' that you scared off..." She said with a smirk.

Tobi said nothing to Julieta's sorries or when she had said she knew it was tough to lose a parent, instead pressing her lips together. She would rather get off the subject again as soon as possible, and so she was glad when she did drop the subject. Tobi didn't feel the need to give an answer to anything, because there hadn't been any questions or anything, and so she could put the conversation out of her mind. Like she had said anyway, it was only a matter of time before someone started up rumors and everyone found out about it. She was just being proactive, really, and after all, what was the problem with that? Plus, Julieta seemed to be being nice about it anyway, and it made Tobi feel a bit better knowing that, though she had no idea why she would feel that way. She blinked for a moment as she was asked about her next class, dipping her head quickly to scan her schedule. "Oh, that would be geometry," she said, wrinkling her nose a little. Halfway through the year, and she hated the class with a passion. It was a shame she still had to go to it. As she felt Julieta take her by the elbow and they began going down the hall, she gave a small chuckle. "Uh, I don't know if you know him...although I guess with so few people, you guys know everyone. Caden...probably the only one in this school? He tried being friendly, but like I said, I scared him off." She shrugged.

Julieta smiled a little as Tobi told her that she was going to geometry. Julieta was headed there as well (good thing considering the time they had wasted standing in the hall). If her memory was correct as well, so was Caden. She couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought - and hope that Caden was wise enough not to talk to her since she was supposed to get Tobi to trust her and she might not do that if she was seen talking to Caden. "I'm headed there too!" She said, linking arms with Tobi and leading her in that way. She laughed as Tobi told her of the way that Caden had acted and the way that she had slightly rejected him. She could totally understand where Tobi was coming from... Caden was so dominant among the Weres so that he had a way of coming on strong. It was his normal way and it was kind of intimidating if you didn't know him... "Oh, I know Caden! He does come on quite strong sometimes, but I'm sure you'll like him once you get to know him. He can't be that bad right?!" She told Tobi as they made their way to the class.

Tobi found herself a bit surprised as Julieta linked arms with her, opening her mouth for a moment to say something, but then deciding to close it again with a small smile. Something about Julieta's personality seemed almost calming in a strange way, and she let herself relax her guard a bit as she was steered down the hall. As they passed doors, she didn't listen very well to what the other girl was saying, looking at numbers and trying to memorize the way so that tomorrow she wouldn't need a map or a person to guide her around the school and she could just walk on her own. She still knew, though, that it would be a little while yet before she would walk comfortably down the halls, almost instinctually, with a practice learned by days on end of walking the same routes. Then again, maybe she wouldn't ever get there, because after all she was only here because her mom was worried about her. Once summer came around, she would probably be moving back south, though she probably wouldn't mention that much to anyone else. Having blanked out in her thoughts, she was slightly startled back as she heard Julieta talking about Caden, glancing over at her as she spoke. "No, I don't think he's bad. But there are some people who are just made out of awesome sauce and-" she paused at what she had said, shaking her head. "Sorry, just something I used to say. I mean that there are people who just seem easy to trust and get along with and others that you just rub against in a bad way instead of getting along..." she paused once more. "Am I even making sense, because I hate to talk, especially if I don't make sense." She sighed.

Julieta stopped talking after a while when she realized that Tobi was hardly paying attention. She was one who could almost sense attention, so when someone wasn't giving it to her, she noticed it almost immediately. Tobi, she had noticed, had tuned her out almost as soon as they had started walking together. She barely paid attention at all as Julieta noticed her checking numbers on the doors and taking in the sights to be able to walk to classes by herself. All that time, Julieta had resolved to repeating the same sentences about Caden over and over again until they registered to Tobi's ears. She knew they would at some point since she had obviously been affected by Caden. When they finally had, Julieta had to catch herself from laughing out loud. Tobi looked at her with one of the most startled look Julieta had ever seen, almost like a mix between fear and surprise with fear outweighing the surprise. Tobi started to stutter through an explanation of why she hasn't taken an immediate liking to Caden. It was surprising... Most girls flocked to him like he was the most amazing thing that they had ever seen. Julieta wondered if Caden took such a liking to her because of that... She made him work for it... "I understand it perfectly. I just don't know if it's a really fair argument for Caden, but I understand that he comes on too strong. So what are you gonna do about him if he tries to talk to you again?"

(haha, no worries, I'm playing a game xD)

Tobi actually payed attention to what Julieta was saying this time, not wanting to be rude, though she did try to keep an eye out for how they were getting to the class and the door numbers and all. Her attention being divided just didn't seem to be working though, and so she practically gave up trying to figure out how to find her way around for the time being, instead settling for giving Julieta her undivided attention since that seemed to work out better for her anyway. At the question, she blinked for a moment, then gave a small shrug. "I don't know. If he takes my schedule or my map away from me again though, I might just bite him," she warned, her bottom lip jutting out a little though she didn't notice. Waving away that particular encounter though, she tried to think of what else her reaction might be. "If he'll tone down a little, I might actually have a conversation with him actually. He seems like a good guy, just....a little overly enthusiastic," she said, for some reason thinking of the drawing she had made in art. She reached in her binder and took it out, crumpling it up without a look, since Julieta was leading them into a classroom, almost all other students having made it already. When she saw a garbage can, she disengaged herself from the other girl, going over to it and dropping the paper ball in quickly before going back. It was then that she saw Caden, sitting in the classroom, a couple of empty desks around him, the only empty desks, and as she cast a look to Julieta, she tried to tell herself this class was geometry and the teacher would teach and not let the class have the whole period to talk.

Julieta smiled as they made their way to the geometry classroom. She couldn't hide it really. She had scented Caden from a distance and couldn't help but smirk smugly as she thought about the way that Tobi might react when she walked into the class and saw him sitting there. She could already imagine the way that Caden was waiting in the classroom for her, smirking. Always smirking... There was just something about his face that had molded itself into a smirk - a sexy smirk, but still a smirk that portrayed mischievous and wolfish ways. She knew it was just his nature. "What was that?" She broke off her thoughts as Tobi took out some piece of paper and crumpled it. The way she crumpled it, it was obviously something that she hated because she seemed to take her anger out on it. She blew it off though and let it go as they walked in to the classroom. Julieta couldn't hide a naughty grin as she had seen that Caden had managed to evacuate everyone from the seats directly around him. Leave it to Caden to find some way to do that! All the seats were equally as good, so it was just a matter of Tobi picking whichever seat she wanted to sit at with him. Julieta sighed as Tobi gave a questioning look, and she pushed her into one of the seats beside him.

Caden had made sure to get to class extra early so as to secure some seats around his own so that he could force her to sit with him. No girl had ever been so bluntly objecting to paying attention to him and it was starting to puss him off slightly. Of course, Devyn had warned him to keep his cool and stay away from her until Julieta had swayed her into coming to lunch with them, but Caden had his own plans in mind... And they didn't involve waiting. He smirked when he smelled both his best Werewolf friend and the girl that had tagged along with her approaching the classroom. The classroom had started to fill up so that only the ones around him were left vacant, and he felt quite satisfied that he had managed to do so. He was pulling her into a trap - which would eventually be beneficial for both of them if she's just get off her damn high horse and talk to him without her snobbiness. He didn't know what it was about her that made her so damn irresistible, but so standoffish, but he wanted to find out. He watched as she made her entrance and Julieta led her to the seat next to him. He almost didn't know what to say to her since she always made it so difficult... "Hey Julieta... Tobi..,"

Tobi let herself be pushed into one of the seats around Caden, although that was probably because there were no other seats available. She was still hoping though that maybe the class could go by peacefully and the only topic being discussed by anyone would be math. Those hopes fell as he said 'hello' to her- the bell had just rang a few moments ago, but because of the warm-up they had, the teacher wasn't starting class yet. Well, she had said she might try to have a conversation with him next time they spoke, but she hadn't imagined it would be so soon. As she looked at him, she avoided looking into those blue eyes that wanted to suck her in, despite what she might want, and she gave him a small nod, acknowledging that he had spoken to her. "Hi Caden," she said, and then dug out a math binder from her backpack, flipping to a clean piece of paper, and began to do the warm-up that was on the board. She didn't know how warm-ups worked in this class, but from past experiences, they were always turned in for a grade in the end. Some, rarely, were turned in for a test grade, others for a daily grade, and the number of warm-ups always varied. This is what she let her mind wander to as she began jotting down numbers and figures on her paper.

Caden watched her cautiously as she greeted him and avoided his eyes. He was slightly upset that she had yet to give in and a growled rumbles almost inaudibly from deep within his throat. He just couldn't help help it, because he distinctly remembered her telling him to just give her some time and space. He had given her time... He had given her a whole heap of time with a period between their meetings so that she could prepare for him. He pretended not to let it bother him though as he glanced up at Julieta for a moment and started the warm up for himself. It was an easy problem... Not fit for this level of math that they were at, but he didn't mind as she kept distracting him from thinking. Every time she drew a breath, he gasped a little and let his thoughts stray to thoughts about tasting that breath in a kiss... When she moved it was even worse... Still, he tried to remain focused on the task that was on hand - which was both this simple math problem and trying to resist Tobi's magnificence... She was going to be the death of him if she weren't careful, and he easily would lay down his life for her... In the end, he deliberately did the math problem wrong and then glanced over at Tobi's paper to see that she had gotten the answer that he had really calculated in his head. "Ok... I feel stupid, but would you mind telling me how you got that answer?" He said with an insignificant smile...

Tobi was a bit disappointed at how easy the problem was, because normally she would be through with it in no time. She deliberately took her time on it though, and inevitably got it done. When she had gotten done, she set her pencil down and closed her eyes with a small exhale. She was brought from the blank peace of her mind by Caden talking to her, and she opened her eyes to look over at him, tipping her head a bit to the side as a crease formed between her eyebrows. The problem was easy- surely he couldn't have gotten it wrong. Leaning over towards him a bit in curiosity, she looked at his paper and saw that he actually had, giving a small shake of her head at it. "It's an easy problem- how did you get it wrong?" she asked, looking at him, momentarily distracted, then commenced to showing him. When she was done, she leaned back into her seat, glancing to the front of the room to see whether they were going to start class or not soon or even had. The teacher was still sitting at her desk for the moment though and aimless conversations were spread throughout the room.

"I'm sorry, Tobi, but maybe not all of us here are as talented in math as you are!" He explained when she shook her head in disapproval that he had actually gotten the problem wrong! He almost regretted it now as she seemed to look at him even more differently than before... God, why did she have to make things so hard to concentrate?! He was actually a good flirt if she would only give him the time to breath. No, his only explanation was that she was intentionally strangling him with her beauty in an effort to drive him nuts... And here he would be left pining for her and there would be nothing he could do to stop it... Maybe he was already falling into that spell... She had leaned across the table to glance over at his paper and she talked him through it, step by step. He was vaguely aware of the way that she smelled so perfectly delicious and every breath sounded like a sigh - and the way that Julieta was rolling her eyes had at the desperate ploy that he had just pulled on her. "Well, thank you," he said and winked when she had explained it to him, though he already knew it, but he turned away from her and said no more. If she wanted to be stubborn about being his friend, he could be equally as stubborn...

Julieta watched the two of them as Tobi leaned over Caden's desk to explain the problem to him and had to catch herself from breaking out into laughter. It was so blatantly obvious the sexual tension that was going on between them, even if Tobi wasn't going to admit it. She had to roll her eyes at how stupid of a plot Caden would employ to get the girl's attention. It was actually quite sad how much he was messing with her brain. He had always acted so put together and well thought out but now he was just a wreck! She watched the way that they both looked at each other quickly before pretending like nothing had happened... She just couldn't help herself. Hmm, I didn't know I'd be learning about chemistry in geometry! Julieta giggled as she scrawled the words across a scrap sheet of paper and handed it forward to Tobi.

[sorry, I was working on a project -.-]

(haha, no problems. I'm listening to music and working on a short story)

Tobi had leaned back in her desk, casting a sideways glance to Caden, seeing he seemed absorbed in his own world as well, and while she was perfectly fine with this, she felt a part of her mind that still wanted him to talk to her. She beat that part of her mind down, because she was sure it was also the part of her mind that had made her draw that stupid picture last period, that made her love his eyes, their color and depth, and...she shoved those dangerous thoughts down, beating them to a pulp, knowing later they would just regenerate themselves and surface again. She could beat down the thoughts, but no matter how she tried, it seemed she couldn't kill them off completely. Then a piece of paper was delivered onto her desk, from Julieta, and she blinked at the folded paper for a moment, glancing over at the other girl before she hesitantly lifted it up to read what she had written there. Almost before her eyes had scanned the entire sentence, she felt her cheeks turning bright red, and she quickly ducked her head, taking up her pencil to reply. It took a moment, because she was fighting back those thoughts again and had no idea what to write, but then she scrawled something quickly in return. What are you talking about? There's no chemistry in this room. When she was done, she folded it back and passed it to Julieta again, still bright red.

Caden pretended to be completely oblivious to Julieta, and especially Tobi as he heard papers shuffle and knew that they were passing notes. He wanted to turn to look at Tobi, but he closed his eyes instead to remain stubborn. If Tobi wanted to talk to him, she could do so... But she was going to have to initiate the conversation... Not him anymore. Anyway, he trusted Julieta now and left his fate directly in her hands. It was time for her to work her magic!

Julieta rolled her eyes as Tobi passed the note back to her. She read it and wanted to burst out laughing. Anyone who turned as red as Tobi just had when reading that simple little note, was obviously hiding something... Obviously not well either... And Julieta knew that she wouldn't be too tough of a nut to crack since she was already pretty well travelled on the love boat to Caden's heart. Whether she knew it or not, she was doomed... Because Caden was pretty stubborn and he had some pretty stubborn friends to back him up. And really, the tension had gotten to be so bad in the room that it seemed as if they were both going crazy trying to resist the pull. Actually, she was absolutely certain Caden was going nuts, due to a certain werewolf intellect, but she was quite sure that Tobi was right there with him. Oh really? God, I could've sworn it just got like twenty degrees hotter in here! So much sexual tension! She passed the note forward.

As Tobi left Julieta to read the note and reply, Tobi's face finally turned back to its normal color. She also noticed that Caden hadn't seen, thankfully, otherwise she was sure hell would be brought to her for it, or he might suspect she wasn't actually as stubborn as she pretended to be. She was stubborn, incredibly so, but not as much as she made herself out to be, and from Julieta's little note, she was sure the other girl suspected it as well. Tobi did her best to simply look forward at the board as class began to start, instead of anywhere else, and focus all of her efforts on class instead of of her thoughts, but as a small piece of paper fell on her desk once more, she practically felt her pulse jump in her throat. She wasn't sure she wanted to know what Julieta had written that time. Knowing she very well could have ignored the note, she opened it up anyway after a moment. This time she didn't have a visible reaction, but she did have a mental one as she all but groaned at what the note said. She folded it back up without writing anything, and gave it back to Julieta because she didn't want it.
