Caden waited for her to say something in an impatient manner. It almost didn't matter to him what she said, just that she said something! He couldn't take these dangling periods of ignoring each other and awkward silences. He knew if she didn't say that be wanted more than being friends, he would be greatly crushed, but he'd have to get over it... After all, that was subject to change with time if she really got to know him. He knew that there was an instant attraction between the two of them, so who was to say the feelings wouldn't intensify as time went on? He'd live... He'd have to. Part of him had almost forgotten that he had started off doing this all for Betty... Now it was literally just a quest for Tobi's heart and he was willing to do whatever it took to do such a thing. He studied her careful at the pause between his confession and hers and felt the urge to touch her again. Her hand was right there... Right there visible in her lap as her hands fidgeted together, but he avoided doing something that would quite as stupid as that. When she started speaking after what felt like the longest wait time in forever, he breathed a sigh of relief that she wasn't going to just start avoiding him. Still, he felt annoyance as they commenced a circular pattern. Neither one was willing to fess up to the way that they were feeling to one another, and both were trying hard to suppress their feelings. He felt the way that she was stumbling to find the right words... Then he did the most stupid and incredible thing that he could think of to do: he kissed her. Her lips felt just right against his, but in that same instant he realized how stupid he had been to do that... He pulled away. "I'm... sorry! I - I... I shouldn't have done that!" He apologized, running a hand through his hair.

Tobi didn't know what she had expected Caden to say or do when she asked him to stop her from rambling. She just knew that she was rambling, going in circles more like, and nothing was going to get resolved, especially if they kept going like this. She knew she was attracted to him, but she didn't know how to take the direct approach and just say it. She really did want to tell him, especially since he had hinted that he might feel the same as her, but it seemed neither her mouth nor her mind could figure out how to do this. It took a split second for her mind to think that, after she had finished talking, and another second for Caden to kiss her. All thoughts practically ceased in her head and she thought her heart might thump right up her chest as his lips pressed against hers. Even after he pulled away, she could feel something akin to electricity sparking across her lips, and it took her mind a moment to fully register what had just happened, much less respond to it. Geez, if that ever happened again, she hoped she didn't have the same, sluggish reaction. She didn't think even if she wanted to she could formulate words in her mouth just then to tell Caden that he didn't have to apologize, that he had actually succeeded in ceasing her rambling after all. Then her body, acting without command of her brain, leaned forward and her lips found his once again, this time initiated by her.

Caden watched Tobi carefully as he feared the words that she would say after he had done such a stupid thing as he had. He almost hoped that she didn't speak; he hoped that, if she didn't like it, she would gather her things and go. He wouldn't stop her... This was the mistake that he had made and he might as well have gotten used to the consequences that might come from it. His lips burned from the electricity that was pulsing through them at the remembrance of her lips in his, and he wished it could have lasted longer... At least if he was never going to be able to do it again, he wished he could have made the most of it - but he guessed that it probably wouldn't have gone over well because she didn't seem to have a very good reaction to this in the first place. She didn't kiss him back, so he prepared himself for the worst. He wouldn't meet her eyes - if he did he probably would've have seen it coming... One second they were sitting there awkwardly and the next, she had forced her lips upon his again. This settled all of his fears and doubts in a moment, and he knew her answer was a good one. He was quite surprised, but he reaction wasn't quite as slow as Tobi's had been the first time (maybe because he had partially wished this would be her response). His hands found their way to the back of her neck and his fingers tangled her hair, holding her against him as he pulled the rest of her body as close as their lips were. He was almost lost in the kiss and he was glad to see that she seemed to have the same reaction.

Since Caden had kissed her first, Tobi had hoped that she wasn't making a mistake by kissing him the second time around. She knew he had been shocked by her actions, but not nearly as much as she had originally been it seemed because he reacted quickly, and she felt her body lulled close to his, almost pressed completely against him, and she felt his fingers in her hair. Under the heated kiss, she practically wanted to melt, no matter how cliche that actually sounded, and for a long moment she actually forgot where they were, her mind muddled momentarily. She remembered hoping somewhere in the back of her mind though that if this ever happened again, that the reaction wouldn't be the same. She could barely think, and she liked very much being able to think, no matter how much she might enjoy kissing anyone...Caden particulalry. After a little while, she pulled away slightly, the same reaction happening that had when he had kissed her the first time, except stronger. They were still incredibly close, his arms still around her neck and in her hair, and she was sure her face must be heated. After a moment, she managed to gather enough of herself and her wits to actually speak, looking at him, in his eyes in particular. "So, what does this mean?" she whispered.

Caden was slightly upset when she pulled away. There was an electricity flowing between them and he wished that he could hold onto her forever and fuel this flame that was burning inside of him. There was a burning... a want... a desire. Tobi was that desire, but he tried not to let it bother him as she did pull away. He loosened his grip on her hair enough to let her out some space between their faces but he made no move to unravel them completely from her hair. He held them there so that he could easily pull her lips back to his if he did so desire - and he knew he would have the urge to do it anyway since he did already. When she asked the question quietly he rested his forehead against her, his eyes searching into hers. "I don't know!" He whispered. His one hand unraveled itself from her hair to caress her cheek and then run his fingers through her soft hair repeatedly. He liked the way that her eyes closed in a cute lust as his fingers met with her skin. "I want to be with you, but I'll be whatever you want me to be... I won't force you into anything, Tobi. It's up to you..."

Tobi found out that she liked the feel of Caden's palm against her cheek, when he did so, their foreheads just barely touching as he looked at her. He was so close, close enough that they could kiss again if either wanted, and she was sure they both did. Her whole body seemed to tingle with a quiet, yet palpable electricity, and it stayed with her even after she had pulled away, probably because he was still touching her. As she listened to what he said though, she couldn't help but let out a small sigh. He had just put them back into the circle again that she had thought they had just come out of, and she told him so in a soft voice. She didn't dare raise her for fear of the librarian catching them and sending them to class, and even if she wanted to, she wasn't sure that at the moment she could bring her voice much higher than the volume it was at. Thinking for a moment, she tried again at the question, hoping he would give her a more direct answer. "Caden, I meant 'what now' as in where does what just happened put us?"

Caden rolled his eyes at Tobi's insistent questioning. Did she not feel the electricity pulsing through both of their bodies even though their lips were a few inches apart?! He certainly did, and he knew it wasn't a one-sided thing either... The way she was still breathing as if she had just sprinted a mile gave him the very idea that she would like the same thing he did, but she was just too stubborn and wanted such a direct answer from him. He knew there was the possibility that he had just caught her off guard and now she was still just coming off the high that would then just lead to regret for letting this whole scene take place. What was he supposed to tell her that didn't sound too forceful? I want you to be mine! He did, in fact, but he didn't know if he had the words too express it to her - nonetheless the capabilities either, since there was always the chance that she still might reject him. "Tobi, sweetheart," he started, twirling a piece of hair around his finger, "don't you get it?" His lips captured the part of her skin just below her mouth on her jawline. He then slid his lips and tongue up her jawline to her earlobe, only stopping for the fear that she didn't want it. "I want you as mine!" He said bluntly, nuzzling into her neck. "That's what I want... Now you know. But if you don't feel the same way, I understand. I'm not going to force you into anything."

At Caden's first two words, Tobi thought that maybe he might actually answer her. That hope fell a little at his question, but it was hard to concentrate because of his close proximity and for the fact that his fingers were still against her skin. She may not have wanted to admit it before, but he did something to her that she had never experienced before. Still, her breathing wasn't back to normal and her heartbeat was all out of whack, but from the looks of him, he seemed just as bad off as she did, and that made her feel better at least. She hated to think that she was the only one affected- her thoughts paused in their tracks as she felt his lips against her jaw, tracing up towards her ear, and when he started speaking again, she could feel his lips against her skin, raising goosebumps there, his voice low but soft near her ear. It was enough of a distraction that it took her a moment to realize what he had just said, and as she did, she felt a small waver of relief that it seemed they felt the same way. She let out a small breath that she had been holding, and looked at him. "I don't think I could just be your friend after this, either," she finally said, glad that she could without blushing. Geez, she hated blushing; she felt like too much of a girl.

Caden waited for her response with his head burrowed in the little corner where her neck met with her shoulder. He breathed her in then and loved the scent, like something of springtime and beauty. That was what she reminded him of anyways: new life - rebirth possibly... Beauty... God, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen... He had almost forgotten that Betty had asked him to befriend her, not fall for her, but he was almost past the point of caring. She made him feel too good to stop. When she spoke again, he lifted his face from her neck and looked deeply into her eyes. Her words made him smile and his heart rate rose - almost as much as the blush that rose onto her cheeks when she said it. Maybe it was just crazy, but he liked the way that he had made her blush so much. He kissed both of her bright red cheeks, saying, "Good! I'd hoped you'd feel the same way." He then pulled away to look at her again, paying close attention to her juicy pink lips. He leaned into her and smirked while their noses met and his lips hovered dangerously close over hers. "We'll then, beauty. Can we let this happen again then? Please?"

Tobi had expected a good reaction from Caden from what he had just told her, but as he kissed both of her cheeks, she started a little, wondering what that was all about. That seemed like something Grandma Betty would do if she were super happy, not a teenage boy like Caden. She ended up smiling softly at him though, anyway as he leaned close again. It didn't take much to do so, not with how close they still were to each other, and she felt a frustrated reaction in her body when their noses met but not their lips. As he spoke, she could practically feel them barely brushing against her own, causing a small shudder to ripple down her spine. He didn't even really need to ask her that question, much less add the please onto the end, and she leaned forward that small amount in response, their lips meeting again. She almost immediately felt him pulling her close again, and she ended up with her arms around his neck, hands in his hair. After a while though, she did pull away again, breathless, with a soft smile. "We should probably get to class now," she whispered after finding her voice once more.

(I know! But why do characters have to be so darn dreamy then?! xD)

Caden loved the feeling of her lips against his... Even more than that, he loved the new reaction that he was getting from her. She had now entangled herself around his neck with her fingers in his hair while he had wrapped his arms around her waist to bring her whole body physically close to her. He wanted to just get lost in her... He almost groaned aloud when she removed her lips from his, and disliked the feeling of the fresh air on his lips instead of the warmth of her lips. His lips rather preferred her lips as their partners instead of the air. "Aww, do we have to?" He pouted when she suggested that they go back to class. He stuck his bottom lip out in a pout and pulled out his puppy dog eyes but the best that he could get from her was an eye roll. He really wanted another kiss. "Hey look, I'm withdrawing my promise! I'm going to be a bad influence ou you because I think we should stay right here and keep with what we're doing!" He insisted and he grabbed onto heaides in a way that made her jump with laughter. He was doing his best to persuade her, but she insisted that they do what was "right." Ugh, girls... "Fine!" He said, gathering his books. "But one more thing then:" he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into her once more, pecking her soft lips three more times.

Tobi knew she proably didn't want to go to class any more than Caden did, but they had to anyway, although she wasn't sure what they were going to say to the teacher considering most of the period had been wasted in the library. And besides, she kind of wanted to give in to his little puppy dog look he was giving her, which didn't help because of the fact that she kind of wanted to stay with him anyway. Resolving herself though, she knew it was the right thing to do and told him so. That much was true enough, her own feelings besides. They both had to go to school and attend classes- that couldn't be helped, even if she wanted to bypass that, if only just for the moment. "Hey, that's not productive to getting to class," she argued with a small smile after he had seemed to finish kissing her, though he still had her wrist. With her other hand, she had picked up her bag again, bringing it over her shoulder, thinking for a moment, and biting her lip, afraid of what she was about to say to a certain point. "Do you think we should wait until this class period ends? Since it's almost over anyway..." She knew they could end up wasting the rest of the day like that, but she couldn't help it. It seemed like the best course of action, and Caden certainly looked happy by her suggestion.

Caden dreaded the thought of going to class after they had finally gotten over this love- hate relationship they had been dealing with and accepted the fact that they liked one another. Going to class was stupid anyways since he more than likely going to be less productive there then he was here with his arms around Tobi. He wouldn't physically have her to hold onto in class, so he was going to spend the whole period just thinking about the way her body felt the against his.. The way her sweet, juicy lips looked so damn inviting all the time. Their class was well near over by now and he didn't really want to have to explain to his teacher why they had been skipping - or why they had been skipping together- so he was very much pleased when she agreed to letting them stay for the rest of the period to avoid the confusion. He nodded his head in agreement. "Then come here, you!" He demanded, pulling her right up against himself as soon as they had reached an agreement. His lips eagerly found hers and he deepened the kiss before long. He ventured to running his tongue over her lower lip, asking for an entrance into her mouth and sighing into the kiss when his tongue met with hers. He always liked this way too much...

Tobi almost couldn't believe how quickly Caden was to react to her suggestion and then pull her in for another kiss. And damnit, all the stubbornness she possessed couldn't seem to be able to make her pull away from it. It probably didn't help that she didn't exactly want to and how quickly her own body reacted...she was so glad that they had come to terms with each other though, after most of the day being spent with such awkward tension. If one of them wasn't doing something to annoy the other, then the other was doing just that, it seemed. She also had to wonder because Julieta and Caden were friends, if it was some sort of scheme on their part to make just this happen. With Caden's own stubbornness, she wouldn't doubt it for a moment. And, like him, she didn't want to try and explain about why they had been skipping and what they had been doing. Besides, she would probably be too flustered for the rest of class and maybe through some of the next one to think straight anyway because somehow he made her mind spin at the same time her heart raced. She had to wonder though, just what was she getting into? With his...extreme personality and her usually being so reserved if not stubborn, unless she was careful, he would run over her. Good thing she had already figured out how to argue with him then... All of these thoughts didn't last for long though, under the influence of their shared kiss, and for a while she was pulled along with it, her arms around his neck again as she felt his around her waist. It seemed like such a natural position that she didn't think twice over it. Then, the thing they both dreaded happened- the bell rang for next class.

Caden was just about ready to get lost in Tobi's touch again... Juuuust about ready... And then the fucking bell rang. He pulled away and groaned, almost to the point of a growl. He had anticipated having more time than that to get lost in her, though hours would probably only feel like a few minutes... Come to think about it, Caden couldn't exactly determine how long they stood, holding each other close and kissing like they were. The way his heart was sinking when they had to pull away told him that they had only been kissing for quite a few minutes, but his real consciousness had told him that it had actually been longer than that. Either way, he wasn't exactly satisfied with this. By the look on her face, he wasn't sure if she was either, though there was an uneasy look that had intermingled with the look of melting bliss that had first come. He tried to not let this bother him though as he intertwined his fingers with hers and she let him lead the way out of the library. Holding her hand was enough... For now. He still wanted more and he wasn't sure if he'd ever get over this passion that caused him to want her so much. "Well?" He asked her after they had exited the library and his in a corner so they didn't make a scene. "Are you sure you want to go to class right now?" He initiated another cycle of his classic puppy dog face but he knew it didn't work... He huffed a little in annoyance. "Fine! Let's go!" He gave up, hanging his head low as he dragged her down the hall to the next class that they happened to share...

Tobi wanted to curse the bell and it's bad luck, wanted to ignore it even, but knew she couldn't. As they pulled away for the third time, not that she was counting, she could tell that Caden wanted to ignore it too. She had been the one to say that they should get to class, after all, because he wanted to stay in the back of the library. She was sure if she would let him, he would hold them both back there, too. Good thing she had some self control then. As he pulled her into a corner, trying to convince her once again not to go to class with his puppy dog eyes, she gave him a look that quickly put that to rest. He practically dragged her after him as they began to walk down the hall. She guessed he remembered what classes she had since he had stolen her schedule earlier, and that's probably where he was leading her. At the way he looked though, she couldn't help but chuckle- it was funny after all. She knew she probably felt the same as him, but it portrayed so much into his physical appearance that she almost felt sorry for him. "Hey, there's no need to look so upset. You know we both have to go to classes right?" She was surprised at how comfortable she was already starting to feel around him, even with him holdind her hand and the looks from other students they were gathering. She hardly noticed, except for the particularly evil looks she recieved from the female population.

Caden smiled as she seemed to be warming up to being around him. He was especially happy that it wasn't awkward to be having onto each other's hands as tightly as they were... In fact, holding hands felt like a life support for Caden. At least if he wasn't able to be close to her physically in the sense of kissing, he was able to feel the warmth of her through her hand. He hoped for nothing else that this was the way that she felt to... When she reasoned that they both needed to go to their classes, Caden still couldn't help it but to roll his eyes at her. "Well, we don't really have to be here for classes," he argued. "I'm sure you're smart enough without all of these classes... And that's a lot of time when I don't get to be with my baby!" He frowned a little, partially for dramatic effect, though also because he hadn't meant for that last part to come out. "Sweetie" and "cutie" were different, but he wasn't sure if "baby" was appropriate... Maybe they were moving too fast. Even though it felt like they had known each other for their whole lives, they had only met that morning... They had only started being good terms with each other last period! He stopped himself from saying anymore for fear that he might actually say too much and scare her away. "Looks like I'm going to have to fight to keep you mine!" Caden remarked as he paid attention to all of the boys that took double-takes every time they laid their eyes on Tobi.

As Caden tried to argue with her about needing to be attending classes, she gave him another one of her looks. She had already skipped an entire hour to work things out with him, and this was a new school, and she didn't know some things because she came in the middle of the year, and while she pretty much had the same classes, schools went different speeds. Besides, how were they going to calculate grades if she couldn't get started with making up what she had missed as soon as possible? Unfortunately, Tobi was someone who always stressed her grades, whether she wanted to or not, and before today, she had never actually considered skipping any class. She made no comment about him saying 'his baby', although she couldn't help but think that it sounded a little perverted, kind of how you would talk about your child more than another person you were with. She thought he would probably prefer she didn't say anything either, partially from the frown he had, and so she had no troubles not saying anything for the moment and simply walking. "What are you talking about?" she asked, looking over at him with a questioning glance at his last remark. The question half came because really it was hard to imagine not being with him at the moment, though considering how recently that had happened it still sounded strange in her mind, and it was half because she tended to be completely oblivious to other people most of the time.

Caden watched all of the guys' eyes in the hallway as they walked by, throwing dirty glares to those that he could and squeezing his hand tighter to make them all understand she was his. They might have only been having this whole "lovey-dovey" relationship for an hour, but Caden was more stubborn and protective that ever. He felt like stopping him too since it was possible Caden might not be what Tobi really wanted, but he wanted nothing more than to be the only one that she ever wanted... Man, how he had ended up falling for a human girl like this, he wasn't sure, but he was sure that he was going to protect her with his life and she might as well get used to it since he didn't intend on letting her go anytime soon - ever... "What do you mean: what are you talking about?!" He snapped when she asked it, not in a mean way but more one of teasing at her obliviousness. "Look around, beauty! Don't you see all of them looking at you?! They all want you just like I do... God, I guess I'm really going to have to fight to make sure you'll always be mine..." He saw her bite her lip and almost wanted to kiss her again, loving the way that she hadn't even realized the affect she had on the whole male population around her.

Tobi really and honestly didn't know what to make of Caden- he was so unlike any other person she had ever met, and it wasn't hard to see. At first she had blamed it on the town, since both Caden and Juileta seemed to be that way, and even Devyn to an extent although she hadn't really spoken to him. Hell, even Grandma Betty had a pretty extreme personality. Now that she thought about it though, it was just them. Everyone else seemed just like the people back where she had lived. And that once again made her wonder what exactly she had gotten herself into...yet for that, she still couldn't imagine just ignoring Caden, Julieta, or Devyn. All of them seemed like genuinely nice people, if not a bit cunning she had come to realize, and it was becoming extremely obvious to her that Caden was very over-protective. And he didn't even have a reason to be. Biting her lip softly, she gave a small shake of her head, mostly at her own thoughts. Not really knowing what to say to him though, she went with the easy route of silence as they came to a classroom, and she glanced over at Caden. "What class do you have?" she asked in a curious tone, since they had stopped, and he made no move to leave. When he answered her that this was his class too, she gave a small nod. "Well, you do know you're going to have to let go of my hand so I can sit down, right?" she asked, holding up their hands to show him how his was practically attatched to hers.
