Zach blinked, surprised when she pushed him away. "What? No, Addy, come back," he quickly said before following after her. He didn't want her to be in pain, not because of him or anybody else, not anymore. He wished he could just take all of her pain away because it hurt so much to see her crying. "Please, Addy, stop!" There was no way he could just leave her alone right now, not when she was hurting so much. She was his best friend. He had always wanted to protect her from things like this.

"Stay away from me!" Lily screamed before she quickly ran out of the school, taking off in a run to go home. She couldn't be around him now, not after she just confessed and he said that she was dumb for loving him. How could he not understand how much that hurt? For him to just tell her that hurt more than anything.

Addy felt dumb. She just wanted to melt into the ground and never be seen again. Maybe it was dumb - she shouldn't have told him to begin with... It didn't make her feel any better because he didn't want it. He was trying to talk her out of it - and now she had really ruined their relationship. "Please - I don't want to see you right now." She said in a strained voice. She hated those words - but they should be true... She needed to just get over him, right?

Josh stopped dead in his tracks as he heard her scream. He hated hearing that - especially to him. He wanted to be the one to fix things - not be the cause of this pain. "Lily, please!" He said, but she was already gone and he was talking to himself. What had he done? He hated being the cause of her pain... Not when all he wanted to do was protect her from the pain.

(Sorry, I'm not on much anymore since my laptop's charger is broke and my phone isn't find of posting. :( )

Zach froze after hearing her words, his eyes wide with surprise. He hadn't ever heard her voice sound like that, nor had he ever thought she would say something like that to him. "Addy..." he said as he watched her. What could he say to her? She was his best friend and he was hurting her without even meaning to - which was something that he hadn't ever wanted to do, anyways. He hated being the cause of her pain. "Addy, I'm sorry, so please... Please don't shut me out like this."

Lily didn't stop in her tracks at all. She ran all the way from the school to her house, though it made her fairly exhausted the entire time. Still, she was a pretty good runner, having been on the track team before - before her brother's accident. Once she got home, she was still crying, which made her thankful that her mom was at work. Unlocking the door, she went straight inside and collapsed on the couch, sobbing while she tried to catch her breath from the running.

    [sorry, I've been busy :/]

Addy had started to take off away from him before she broke into tears, but se stopped to the sound of her name. This all hurt so badly. "Zach, it's clear you don't want this - please don't make this harder." She said in a voice that had given up the fight and was filling with tears. She ran off then. She couldn't take this... She didn't want him to see her cry, and she knew this was dumb. She shouldn't have told him, but what could she do?

Josh didn't know what to do. He wasn't usually in this position... Was he supposed to follow her or was he supposed to let her go? Right now neither felt right and he didn't know what to do about it. He just wanted to comfort her... Why was this so confusing? How long had she been feeling like that? Why didn't she tell him?!

    (It's no problem! :) )

Zach watched her run off, unsure of what to do. She obviously didn't want to be near him, but it didn't feel right being away from her. She was his best friend after all and he was so used to being there when she needed him. It hurt, knowing that he was the one causing this pain, though, and he couldn't really do anything about it. He hated it. Running a hand through his hair, he sighed with annoyance towards himself. What was he supposed to do to fix things?

Lily was grateful that she was left alone. Curling up on her couch, she stared at the wall once she managed to calm down. She felt horrible, but, honestly, what could she really expect? She had just admitted her feelings to her best friend and she regretted it. At the same time, she figured it was best - it was better to be away from him and hurt than it was to be near him and hurting worse.

Addy had luckily went home to an empty house where she was able to just mope by herself. She curled up onto a blanket and just let the wave of tears come. There was nothing she could do to stop it. It hurt to fully admit to herself that he would never want her like she wanted him. Why had she been so dumb all along? She regretted telling him. The last thing she needed was him settling to be with her because he felt bad. She'd rather not have him at all than that.

Luckily the crowd that had built up had slowly receded away so josh didn't have to worry. He hated himself for what had just happened. He wasn't the girlfriend type - he never had been...and he hated himself for this fact right now. How could he fix things? It wasn't like he could deal with it that well, and he didn't know what to think. There was no good way to fix this...

Zach stared around the school hallway for a few moments before he made his way out of the school. He couldn't be there right now, not after Addy had just confessed to him in front of everybody. He could practically feel them glaring at him as if it was all his fault that she was hurting. Really, though, it was, he knew that. He didn't want everybody else to blame him, though.

Lily stared off into the distance, trying to fully calm herself down. Once she was calm enough, she stood up from the couch and made her way upstairs to her room. She wished she could go talk to her brother, but after he had woken up from his coma, he had gotten himself an apartment - and if she went there he might just get upset with her for skipping school. Taking a deep breath, she laid down on her bed and curled up to herself again.

Addy didn't even know who she could talk to about this. It wasn't like her father would be helpful... As soon as her mother had died, he had been quite closed off about certain things - especially boys - and it was times like these when she wished she could just talk to her mother. She couldn't believe Zach had hurt her like this. She just found herself hugging herself tight. She was so stupid for even telling him anything.

Josh didn't know what to do with himself. He really wanted to go talk to her and fix this - but what could he say? Why did she have to fall in love with him?! Love wasn't worth her time! He couldn't go to classes either, so he just cut class and went home. This all sucked. What could he do?

Zach was quick to drive away from school, but he wasn't sure over where he should go. If he went home, he'd have to deal with getting caught for cutting. With a sigh, he decided to drive to an arcade instead. He wasn't big on games, but they would at least provide a good distraction. He needed to keep his mind occupied so that he wouldn't think too much about all the pain he had unintentionally caused Addy.

Lily didn't really want to move from her spot, not for a long time. She just wanted to lie there and pretend that she was somebody else for a while, pretend that everything was okay and that nothing was wrong. She couldn't even pretend that, though, and she hated it. Why hadn't she just kept her mouth shut about her emotions? She had definitely lost her best friend because of it.

Addy found herself just curled up in bed, crying her eyes out. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if they were alone... Maybe if she could have broken the news easier... But now she was losing her best friend... Because she knew he couldn't say it back - and it would probably weird him out now. What had she been thinking?! She should've just kept her feelings to herself.

Josh was luckily home alone when he arrived there and he ran his hands through his hair, getting out of his car, and kicking it in anger. He was angry - because now he had hurt her... It was that silly emotion thing. What was it about girls and emotions?! Lily would've been so much better off... Hell, he needed something to distract himself.

    (Sure!)

Zach ran a hand through his hair as he entered an unfamiliar house. His week had been absolute hell and he needed to wind down and forget it all. At the same time, he wanted to make up with Addy. He couldn't find it in him, though, because he was so angry with himself for hurting her so much without meaning to. It made him feel like a total asshole, but what was new? Shaking the thought aside, his eyes scanned around, trying to find somebody to flirt with or hang out with.

Lily chewed on her lip as she finished getting ready for the night. It was the weekend and Matt had invited her to a party - and, after everything that had happened recently, she figured rebelling against Josh, who had told her not to go to parties, would make it easier for her to move on from him. Within moments, she could hear the honk that signaled he was there and she made her way out, climbing into the truck before Matt began the drive to the party.

Addy couldn't believe she was actually doing it - but she was going to a party. It was something that Zach would've talked her out of, but Eric had invited her, and she wanted to move on... He made her feel good, and she knew that was all that mattered now. All Zach did was avoid her, so she knew it was time to forget. She climbed into Eric's car when he picked her up and she kissed him on the cheek, smiling as he drove.

Josh arrived at the house that the party was going to be and he smiled lightly. It was a fake smile though, trying to act like he was good. All he wanted was Lily back and he didn't know what to do. He knew he was better off to stay away - it would only be worse. He hurt her too much already.

Zach let out a sigh and plastered a smile to his features as he wandered around. Before long, he came across the alcohol and he went ahead and got himself a cup of beer before he let his eyes scan the crowd. There were so many people here already, but he really shouldn't have been surprised with that.

Before long, Lily and Matt had gotten to the party and they entered the house. Lily found herself looking around, surprised with how many people there were around. She couldn't help but to be a little worried about it, but she ignored it and offered a tentative smile as Matt led her through the house, introducing her to a few people.

Addy smiled a little as Eric took her hand, leading her in. She giggled lightly and let him take her in. She wasn't a huge fan of this of course, the alcohol, the sex... But she was trying to move on - and this was the way. She smiled as Eric introduced her to his friends and she sat close to him on the couch as he cuddled into her.

Josh found the alcohol and hung out right there. He didn't want to move. He just wanted to get shitfaced drunk right now and just forget about it all for he moment. That would be better. Maybe he could get over her then - that would be perfect.
