Sam gave a sigh as he wandered through the hallways of Merlin's Gifted Boarding School. Honestly, this place was one of the worst places to be, in his opinion. Arching an eyebrow, he glanced away. He had training this class period. Making his way to the gym, where all the other werewolves would be for their training session, he ran a hand through his hair. He didn't want to be here. He'd much rather be home, sleeping - where he could actually get good sleep without being woken up by a neko next door who just wouldn't sleep. He supposed that was just hoping for a bit too much, though. After all, they were being taught how to survive and all supernaturals had to go through this school so that they would be able to survive in the real world, where hunters were.

Lisa bit her lip as she made her way through the school, glancing around every now and then. Being a vampire wasn't a fun thing to be in this place - after all, she was stuck with just a bunch of other supernaturals. No human blood, except the blood bags that the school provided to the vampires of the school. She scowled at the thought, though she understood the point of it. Running her hand through her hair, she gave a grin as she took notice of her class up ahead - it was a compulsion class, where only vampires were allowed. Making her way inside, she glanced around.

Esmeralda sighed a bit as she walked in to the school dazed and groggily, having only just woken up. She was just new to the academy and getting used to the place and how it worked was.. Well, exhausting and confusing. She was a werewolf, so she made friends easily and felt welcomed. Luckily, she wasn't late for her training period with all of the other werewolves, since that was her favorite part of the day. She saw her new acquaintance, Sam, and smiled to herself as she blushed a little. She walked over to stand my him and nudged him. "Hey there," was all she said... This boarding school was supposed to be the best to teach how to survive in the real world, but it might also teach a little something about love...

Haydn weaved his way through the highly-concentrated hallways of the boarding school, trying to avoid touching them as much as possible. He was a vampire, and it was his way that he didn't like to make contact with other supernaturals. Most supernaturals felt the same way anyways... Haydn came from a family with much prestige, so he was very popular among the vampire girls... The school wasn't so bad as long as he had something to look at! That was when he saw the most stunning girl with long blonde hair and dark eyes. He knew she was a vampire and that he couldn't of known her previously, because he would remember a pretty face like that. He was quite blunt and directly approached her, "Hi! I'm Haydn."

Sam blinked before looking towards Esmeralda and grinning. "Hey," he said before tilting his head to the side slightly. They had recently started talking, after being paired up for a spar session during this class a week or so before. So far, she was the only interesting thing about the entire school - which was saying something, considering the school was one for supernaturals. "I wonder what we'll be doing today."

Lisa blinked a few times at noticing the male. Tilting her head to the side, confused about how up-front he was about immediately introducing herself, she gave an amused smile. "I'm Lisa," she said before shrugging slightly. "It's nice to meet you, Haydn." He looked fairly attractive, she'd give him that, so she saw no harm in talking to him. At least it would give her something to do.

Esmeralda's smile widened even more when she saw Sam smile at her. There was just something about him that completely spun her in circles... In fact, she was dizzy every time she stood by him, but she pretended that that wasn't the case... "I don't know... Hopefully something that involves some running!" She responded. She had always been an athletic person and enjoyed the thrill of the run, especially as a werewolf...

Haydn smiled a little as she seemed shocked about his forwardness with the situation. He liked catching a girl off guard like that and smiled. "Sorry, I just saw a beautiful girl from down the hallway and knew I had to talk to her... I can't just ignore a pretty face like that!" He flirted and smirked. It usually worked and he liked making a girl blush... Especially a girl as beautiful as this one...

Sam gave a grin to her words before nodding slightly. "Running would be fun," he mused, though, honestly, he didn't care what it was. As long as he got to spend time with her, he'd be perfectly okay with it, since he enjoyed her presence so much. The only bad thing was that he was so easily distracted by her presence and beauty - though, he didn't exactly dislike that at all. There wasn't anything to dislike about it - the only thing to dislike was when he would get yelled at by a teacher for not paying attention. "Maybe we could race or something?"

Lisa blinked a few times at her words before a blush tinted her cheeks. She quickly looked away to avoid letting him see the blush. "Well, aren't you quite the charmer?" she asked in a teasing tone before she laughed softly. She didn't mind, to be honest - which was strange, because she usually got annoyed when somebody attempted to flirt with her upon first meeting her. Something about him made her feel relaxed and comfortable about it, though.

[sorry, I'm selling Esmeralda by her nickname since it would be easier lol]

Meara smiled as she watched Sam through her peripheral vision. She didn't want to directly look at him since she knew she would get caught up in his eyes, or even just his bright face itself, and she would feel stupid for getting lost there. She liked the way that his face looked when he smiled and the way that his eyes had a way of sparkling. That was something she would never directly explain to him, but it was something that she really felt. "Fine, Samuel Johnson! I challenge you to a race!" She teased, sticking her tongue out at him slightly as her eyes sparkled.

Haydn leaned against the wall beside her and studied her. She had beautiful light hair and bright eyes that were just threatening to suck him in and get him stuck there. He smiled a lot as he looked at her and had a sense of curiosity. A vampire always had a special "mark" once they found their one true love... Their mate... He wondered if he would indeed find a mark on her beautiful long neck and pulled her hair away from the most common mark's spot. "Hmm, no mark?" He asked her. "I'm quite surprised. I figured a beautiful girl like you would already be tied down to some guy... I'm sure there are plenty after you." He couldn't help it, but he almost had to smile at the fact that she still had no mate. He felt as if he had just won the lottery...

    (That's totally fine. :D)

Sam grinned at her words before arching an eyebrow. "You sure you're up for that, doll?" he asked in a teasing tone before he tilted his head to the side slightly. He could see the sparkle in her eyes and it only made her all the more attractive to him. Why was it that he was so drawn to her? He had dated plenty of girls and had never once been as attracted to any of them as he was to Meara - and they weren't even dating. "If we're going to actually race, how about we raise the stakes, to make things all the more interesting?" He gave a slight smirk; he was always one to make sure there was a reason to go through with a challenge. Otherwise, there was no fun in it.

Lisa blinked a few times at both his actions and words, a light blush dusting her cheeks once again. "I don't pay much attention to most guys," she said simply, though, honestly, she just hadn't been attracted to any guys that she had encountered. Something about Haydn made her attracted to him, though - not that she'd openly mention that, as she didn't want to make things awkward. Besides, she wasn't blunt with that kind of stuff, though it seemed that Haydn was. "Most guys don't normally go straight to checking for a mark, though."

Meara watched the way Sam arched an eyebrow at her and smirked, her heartbeat speeding up. She had never usually taken much interest in boys, so the way that she was feeling about him confused her to no end. Anyways, there was always that chance that he didn't feel the same way, so she tried not to dwell on it too much. "Oh yeah?" She smirked at his constant need to have something to make the challenge worthwhile. "So what's the deal?"

Haydn smirked as he saw the way that he had affected her. He could see the light blush painting her pale skin in a light pink and it made him chuckle under his breath. He liked the way that she was obviously affected by him; it made him feel good that this attraction obviously wasn't only one sided. "Well," he laughed at her obvious timidness, "I'm not most guys!"

Sam tapped his chin as he tried to think of something. Though, honestly, the only things that he could come up with were rather perverted. Considering he was a guy - and that he was talking to such a beautiful girl like Meara - that wasn't too surprising. Finally, he simply shrugged. "You can decide on the wager," he mused quietly. He didn't want to scare her off with any of the ideas he would have come up with, after all, since he wanted to make sure that he could still enjoy her presence.

Lisa gave a slight smile to his words before shrugging slightly. "Obviously," she muttered softly before pushing her hair out of her face and looking up at him, taking in his features. He really was rather attractive; she pushed that thought away, not wanting to think in such a way, since she was sure that he probably flirted with most girls, anyways. "Well, you know that I don't have a mark." She arched an eyebrow before tilting her head to the side slightly. "What about you? Do you have one?"

Meara waited eagerly on his deal, watching the way his face changed with his different thoughts. She wished she could have been a mind reader at the moment so she could get in there and see what was making him smirk in such a way that he was. When he left it up to her, she sighed in annoyance. She would much rather know what he wanted - and besides, what was she supposed to say? Well, Sam, if I win, I want you to kiss me... Yeah, she could just imagine how that would go over. "Oh, I don't know!" She stuttered. "Fine, if I win, you have to go see that movie that I've been talking about with me." It wasn't really the ideal situation, but Sam and her had yet to actually "hang out" outside of school... She wanted nothing more than to be able to do that.

Haydn smiled a little at her innocent question. Wasn't it obvious that he was hardcore flirting with her? If he had a mark, he certainly wouldn't be sitting here in the hallways flirting with her! Sure he was quite the flirt and partier, but he knew that as soon as he would find that girl, he would settle down. No need to flirt once he had that... "No, I'm free!" He winked at her. "Guess I just haven't found the right girl to suit me yet!"

Sam arched an eyebrow at her words before smirking slightly. "That seems sort of like a date," he teased before shrugging slightly. "Alright. But, if I win, then we get to watch a movie of my choice." At least, that way, they'd still get to go see a movie . He gave a small smile before he tilted his head to the side slightly. "That sound like a good enough deal to you?" He knew it sounded good enough to him, but he hoped it wouldn't bother her too much, since it was plainly obvious that he simply wanted to hang out with her.

Lisa couldn't help but to smile at his words before nodding slightly, honestly feeling a bit relieved with the news. "I see," she mused before glancing around a bit and sighing softly. "I don't want to have class today." Though, normally she enjoyed class. It was simply that she wanted to keep talking to him, though, and she knew that class would disrupt that.

Meara turned as bright red as her hair as she was accused of setting up a date. "No! I... I didn't mean it that way! I just... I just wanted to go... To the movie... And stuff..." She stuttered, not really sure how to fix it. In all reality, she did want that for them, but maybe that was moving too fast since they had only just met. "Sounds like a deal to me!" She said, after he had dropped the subject. She smiled, but she could still feel the blush on her cheeks.

Haydn seemed to smirk when she smiled at his words. He knew that they were running out of time before class, and he wished it wouldn't end like this. He felt like marking her right then, but he resisted the urge. He smiled when she made it apparent that she didn't want to go to class either and got closer to her. His lips at her ear, he whispered, "Well how about we don't then?"

Sam grinned and nodded, deciding against teasing her further, as she seemed pretty flustered already. "Alright," he mused before smirking slightly. "How about we inform the teacher of our little deal? You know how much he loves bets and challenges like this. He thinks it makes us all the more energetic. I'm sure he'd let us do this in front of the entire class and would even use our enthusiasm as an example for the rest of the students." He, personally, just figured it'd make it easier for them to race without others getting in the way, if they talked to the teacher about it.

Lisa blinked a few times before blushing at how close he was to her. After a moment, she looked up at him, furrowing her brows in confusion. The suggestion was rather tempting, but she knew what the consequences would be. "I would, but the teacher is crazy and would definitely send everybody on a wild goose chase to find us, since she hates it when students skip her class," she muttered softly, not wanting to attract attention to them.

Meara rolled her eyes a little at his want to be an "example for the class." Looking at him, he didn't exactly look like the type that liked to be teacher's pet, yet he still had his moments of spontaneous goodness. It made him all the more attractive to her, really, and she couldn't help but blush as she tried to push that thought away. "I'll go talk to him!" She offered, and the Sam nodded to her gratefully. Their teacher actually was so thrilled o have some competition in the class that he put up no grief about it and actually stopped all of his plans for the day to do it. She sighed, kind of wanting to win, but it really didn't matter... Either way, she got to spend time with Sam and that was all that she wanted...

Haydn smirked a little at her blush and breathed on her neck, wanting to make her shiver. Seeing that drove him crazy with desire and he smirked that her neck was so close to his teeth; he could easily mark her... He sighed a little and rolled his eyes as she announced that she couldn't possibly skip with him. "Aww, being a goodie two-shoes, are we now?" He laughed, stepping a little closer to her. "How about you let me show you what it feels like to live a little?"

Sam grinned once it was announced that everything would be put on hold for their little competition. Walking over to her, he arched an eyebrow. "Are you ready to lose?" he asked in a teasing tone before he gently nudged her. The grin was still on his face as he tilted his head to the side slightly. "And, let's make sure that we don't take it easy on each other. We'll go all out with this, just for the fun of it." He actually wanted to find out if they could keep up with each other for the most part. That would just make things all the more interesting, in his opinion.

Lisa had shivered slightly at the feeling of his breath on her neck, though she quickly forced the feeling away. She tilted her head to the side slightly before rolling her eyes. "I'm not a goodie two-shoes," she grumbled quietly, in a slightly childish manner. "I just don't feel like getting yelled at by her." She arched an eyebrow, though, biting down on her lower lip. After a few moments, she wondered what he meant by showing her what it felt like to live a little. Shrugging slightly, she finally relented. "Fine, fine. If I get in trouble, I'm saying you kidnapped me."

Meara caught sight of Sam's happy expression and couldn't help but to smile at him. Still, she was quite nervous for this little race since she didn't exactly feel like losing to him... All she wanted to do was to prove she was worthy of him. Werewolf mates tended to like to run together, and she needed to prove that she could keep up. Most male werewolves were pretty stubborn and picky about it. "Don't worry, I won't go easy on you, cuz I'm gonna win!" She smiled and winked at him slightly, feeling slightly weird for flirting with him. She got on the start line and breathed deeply...

Haydn had to laugh when she finally gave in but said she would blame him if anything went wrong. "Oh, don't worry! I will take full responsibility for your kidnapping sweetheart!" The first bell went off and he looked at her curiously to see if she would rethink her decision, but she didn't seem to care. "We'll, then," he said as the halls cleared, "should we get outta here, my pretty?"

Sam gave a slight smirk to her words. "We'll see," he mused quietly before he followed her to the start line. The teacher came over to the edge of the line, saying, "On the count of three." Sam glanced over at Meara, smirking again. "Just make sure to keep up," he mused, though he was honestly encouraging her. "One," the teacher announced. Sam allowed himself to let out a breath, exhaling slowly. "Two." Sam was prepared and all ready for the race, not really caring if he won or not. "Three!" With that, Sam was off, running as fast as he could.

Lisa gave a quiet laugh, because brushing off the flirtatious names that he had called her. Soon grinning, she shrugged. "I guess we should," she mused quietly before running a hand through her hair. She gestured for him to lead the way, as she wasn't sure where they were going. Besides, he seemed like the type that would like to lead more, anyways.

Meara felt herself breathing hard as she stood on the line. She felt as if her life depended on this, even though it didn't matter if she won or lost because the prize was equally as good. All that mattered was that she kept up with him- if she couldn't do that, how were they ever supposed to run together as mates... It just wouldn't work! When the numbers were called, she felt the adrenaline running through her veins and as three was called, she took off, keeping up a good pace with Sam.

Haydn couldn't help but smile as he took the way in front of her and went to lead her out. Part of him had wanted to grab onto her hand and hold it, but he had resisted doing so since she seemed more shy than that. He wasn't really sure where he wanted to take her quite yet, since he hadn't really thought it through before accomplishing this scenario. "Wanna go grab some lunch?" He asked and winked at her.

Sam gave a grin as he glanced over at Meara, glad to see that she was keeping up with him. At least that meant that they were actually compatible. He continued to run, though, determined to win - or, at least, to make his best effort to win, as he silently hoped that they could keep pace with each other. He wasn't quite sure why, but he knew that he'd like it a lot if they could run at the same pace. It meant that they had a pretty good chance of being mates. And, honestly, what could be better than that, when it was so obvious that he was attracted to her?

Lisa blinked at his question before she smiled slightly and shrugged. "Sure," she mused quietly before glancing around the hallway as they walked. Silently, she wondered if they would skip all their classes or just this one. Oddly, though, she didn't really care, either way. She was simply enjoying spending time with him. "It's not like we have anything better to do. And, I'm actually kind of starving."
