There's No Place Like Home

Morgan saw the two guys and sighed. This land was just getting weirder and weirder - not that she minded being approached by some guys, but still! His question almost confused her that she wished Leigha would take the question, but the way the boy was looking at her in a way that was directed at her. "Well, are we still even on Earth?" She questioned and squinted sort of. She hoped this was all just the works of her imagination in a dream...

Chris watched Leigha with a sort of fascination. She seemed so different from girls in this land usually and he was slightly intrigued and confused. "I'm Chris and, this here is my fried, Tyler. We're the guards of this land." He refrained from asking another question since it would turn you're monotonous between the two girls and the guards. Chris didn't feel too much danger in the girls so he seemed to relax a little.

Tyler blinked a few times at her words. "Earth?" he asked, obviously confused with that matter. Shaking his head, he sighed. "I've never heard of such a place." He didn't quite understand this, to be honest. What the hell was Earth? Was there even such a place or had these girls just been living in their imagination. "You're in Telous, if that helps. Ever heard of this place?" Most people had heard about it, because it was where all the guards were assigned.

Leigha furrowed her brows in confusion. She shook her head, finding everything rather confusing. Earth didn't have guards. Well, probably not in the way that these two were talking about; they had policemen, firemen, CIA, FBI, security guards, the works. But, secruity guards didn't count as guards and they usually didn't call themselves guards at all, unless they were 'arresting' somebody. "That makes no sense," she finally grumbled.

"Telous?!" Morgan's eyes sparkled in fear and confusion as her growing fear that they were lost... Very lost... was growing to full effect. "No! What type of joke is this?! Last I knew I was in Dallas, Texas! This isn't funny!" She started screaming. Almost at the point of tears. She had always had a wild imagination, but dreaming that antique sword transported her to another land? She knew she was going crazy...

Chris rolled his eye as that Leigha girl grumbled. "No, all of this makes complete sense. This is Telous, and we are it's guards! There's nothing difficult about it!" He said. He tended to be a little too overreactive sometimes, and at times like this, this was his first reaction. "How did you get here?"

Tyler blinked a few times, surprised that she was screaming. "This isn't a joke, as far as I'm aware," he said before crossing his arms over his chest and narrowing his eyes in confusion. "And, Dallas, Texas? I've never heard of such a place." Maybe it was these two girls playing the 'joke' that they were being accused of playing. There was no such place as a 'Dallas, Texas' here. Though, when he noticed that she was near tears, he wondered if they really were from such a place. And, if they were, how did they get here, in Telous?

Leigha frowned slightly before scoffing. She was trying to be the calm one here. It was difficult, though, as she was mentally freaking out. Glancing over to Morgan, her eyes reflected worry for her friend, but she wasn't quite sure what she should - or even could - do. "We touched a damn sword that was glowing and ended up here," she explained, looking back towards Chris, in hopes that he would be able to explain things.

Morgan sniffled a little as the tears finally began to set in. She was usually incredibly quick-witted and quite the stubborn one, but she never liked being confronted as if she had done something wrong. "It's on Earth!" She cried when this Tyler asked where Texas was. She couldn't help but want to glare at him. This wasnt his fault... He was just the one who had intercepted the problem, but she still felt annoyance to him.

Chris listened to Leigha with his full, undivided attention on her, thinking about her story. "Wait, a sword?" He asked, almost cutting her off, yet she was practically done speaking. He had heard of swords from Telous that had been crafted in such a way that the old magic could be transfused into them and used as a transportation device. If that's what it was, then they were indeed telling the truth. But to find one there... Did that mean their world was in danger of the Old magic too? "Leigha, you have to explain what this sword looked like."

Tyler blinked a few times, feeling rather guilty once he noticed the tears in her eyes. Rubbing the back of his neck, he sighed quietly. He didn't know what she was talking about but he believed her. "Well... All I can really say is that this isn't 'Earth,' so maybe if we figure out how you got here, we can find out how to get you back," he said before tilting his head to the side slightly. She looked rather distressed and he honestly did want to help her. He just didn't know how to.

Leigha blinked a few times before biting her lip and shrugging. "The handle was glowing red. It only got brighter as we got closer to it. I think the sword had symbols or something on it, but I wasn't really paying attention to that," she explained. After all, she had been far more attracted to the bright red light that had been emanating from the sword.

Morgan swallowed her sniffles back and tempted a smile onto her lips. The way that this Tyler guy was talking to her so sweetly and softly that it calmed her instantly. She had always had quite the unique thing for boys... Looks like even though she had travelled through dimensions - or how ever the hell they had transported here - that hadn't changed. "Yes! The sword was so bright and it just drew us in..." She said, backing up her friend's words.

Chris sighed in the sort of way that showed he definitely understood what that sword was. The description they had provided was definitely the one that he had heard before... The same description he heard was dangerous, and one that was supposed to be avoided at all cost... As he saw it now, people on this Earth didn't know of this... "Sounds like the evil sword..." He said.

Tyler arched an eyebrow before looking at Chris. "It couldn't be, could it?" he asked, his confusion obvious. Nobody had seen that sword in ages. Was it really possible that it could have shown up in a different world entirely such as this 'Earth' that the girls had come from? "I always thought it had just been destroyed, when everybody had said that it had gone missing. How would it possibly end up there?"

Leigha frowned deeply at everything she was hearing. An evil sword? There was a such thing as an evil sword? How was that even possible? Then again, she was in a completely different world - which shouldn't be possible but apparently was - so who was she to say that such a thing existed or not? "What is this 'evil sword,' anyways?" she asked.

Morgan looked back and forth between Tyler and his friend as the spoke carefully about this "evil" sword. She looked towards Leigha and noticed that she seemed to have the same confused look on her face. This couldn't all be real... This was just some crazy dream from drinking too much the night before.. Her mind was playing games. "Yeah, what are you talking about?!" Morgan accused at Tyler. "This sounds crazy!"

Chris sighed and shrugged his shoulders at Tyler, knowing what he was thinking also. That sword had been long gone - so long that they had thought it was destroyed. "Maybe someone sent it to this Earth," he suggested to Tyler before turning to the girls, "this sword is very dangerous! It's a transportation device that was created by the dark magic of our world to move between the dimensions... If it was at your world, that means the darkness is threatening you too..."

Tyler nodded along with his friend's words. "And, if the darkness is threatening your world as well, then that can only mean that it's been getting stronger," he muttered softly. That thought was the worst part. If the darkness was stronger now than it had been before, how would they get rid of it? He frowned slightly before shaking his head. "At least we can tell the Leader about this now. Surely, this is enough proof that something's amiss."

Leigha frowned deeply before looking over towards Morgan, nodding her agreement. "It does sound crazy," she grumbled before crossing her arms over her chest. "You two are both crazy. I refuse to believe that there's such a thing as an 'evil sword.' Swords can't be good, nor can they be evil."

Morgan looked at her best friend and smiled. "I think we should probably run and scream away from this town!" She offered, though she knew they would never be able to outrun these two huge men who were currently in grabbing distance of them. "This town is full of loonies." She stuck her tongue out at Tyler in the slightest but, not able to ignore that he slightly made her heart race... God, they weren't even from the same dimension!

"Crazy? No!" Chris argued. There was something about this girl that made him even more pumped up to argue and it bothered him that he said they were crazy. "In fact, darling-" he said with sarcasm- "this sword can be evil, and if we don't stop it, it can help the evil of this world take over both our land and then yours."

Tyler rolled his eyes slightly at Morgan's words. "Loonies? We're completely sane," he reasoned before arching an eyebrow. "If anything, you two are making yourselves look like the crazy ones, since you're refusing to believe the truth." There was no denying that this girl was interesting and even attractive; even he had to admit that. But, he wasn't quite sure about taking her seriously with how she seemed to be joking. It was confusing him quite a bit.

Leigha crossed her arms over her chest before putting on her best pout. "You're cruel. Arguing with two confused girls, who just want to go home," she announced with a quiet 'hmph.' Even she could be childish when she wanted to be; it was usually how she got things to go her way. She just hoped it worked and that the arguing would stop.

Morgan rolled her eyes after Tyler rolled his. "Listen, we really just want to go home. Sorry for upsetting you about that, but this 'truth' is just craziness..."
She agreed with Leigha. "Can you just give up this whole joke and let us go home?!"

Chris sighed a little. This girl standing in front of him was definitely stubborn, but she was also intriguing him and he tried to suppress it. "I'm sorry that you got roped into this..." He trailed off in an apology. "If you can just help us defeat this evil and then - " he didn't know what to say... He could say 'you can go home' because he didn't know if that were possible - or if he'd let this beautiful girl leave...

Tyler frowned slightly before a sigh left his lips. "It's not a joke," he told her before running his hand through his hair. "You can believe what you want, but at least know that this isn't a joking matter. We wouldn't joke about it, because we're supposed to be protecting this world from the darkness." He shook his head before examining the girl. She really was gorgeous, to say the least. It wasn't something that he expected, as he hadn't met a single girl in his world that was as attractive.

Leigha arched an eyebrow. "And then?" she inquired, wanting to know the rest of his statement. What was the point in leaving her to wonder what he meant? Even males in this 'world' or whatever were just as confusing as the ones on Earth. "How are we even supposed to help you? We know nothing about this place or about this 'darkness.' Plus, we're not even prepared for that kind of thing!"

Morgan sighed a little. She usually had quite the talent in pushing people's buttons and getting them to crack, but that didn't seem to work for Tyler. He spoke to her in quite a calm voice even though his words had a bitter sting to them. "We can't help you!" Morgan yelled at him. "We're just humans from Earth and we can't help you. We're sorry, but we should go..."

Chris sighed a little as Leigha was too smart to not catch on to his stuttering. "Ugh well... And then would be that you could go home, but I can't exactly promise that because we don't know if it's possible!" Chris sighed a little as he watched her face drop; she still looked so beautiful. "But you can help us here... And if you can't get home, Telous is a good place!"

Tyler frowned slightly to Morgan's words. "We don't even know if you can even go home," he explained before shaking his head slightly. He didn't understand why she was yelling. Was she that angry with them, when they hadn't done anything? Running a hand through his hair, he sighed. "And, of course you can help. You've got to know things that we don't know - different technology or something."

Leigha gave a frown to his words. "I don't care if Telous is a good place!" she cried, feeling rather desperate now. "I just want to go home! And, there's no way for us to even help you!" She felt miserable. And, the fact that Chris was sounding reasonable and calm didn't help, though it should have. She was just too freaked out about it all.

Morgan shook her head, partially in disbelief at his words yet still almost because she was trying to get the image of him running his hand through his hair out of her brain. He was too damn sexy for this... "Well maybe we don't want to help! Maybe we would just like to go home!" She snapped at him.

Chris sighed in anger at the stubbornness of the two girls. He even had a slight attraction to Leigha and he wished that she would catch on to that. He turned to Tyler, sensing that he felt the same about Morgan, and winked. "Well, I guess we'll just have to divide and conquer then. Tyler: you take Morgan; I'll take Leigha. We'll try to get you home after this is all settled." Chris was always a good mediator. He just prayed to God that such a way home wasnt possible...

Tyler nodded slightly to Chris' words before looking at Morgan and arching an eyebrow. "If you help, there's more of a chance that things will be over quicker. And, that could probably get you home faster," he pointed out, though he honestly didn't want such a thing to happen. He wanted her to stay, because he couldn't think of one logical reason for her to leave - though, that was a biased thought, as he was so very attracted to her.

Leigha bit her lower lip before sighing softly. "What the hell are we supposed to do?" she asked, frowning a bit. She didn't understand what they could possibly do to help them; they weren't fighters, nor were they 'guards.' She and Morgan were human - Earth humans, at least. They didn't know anything about magic. Though, she had to admit that staying there wouldn't be too bad for too long, since Chris was rather handsome.

As much as Morgan wanted to get home, she felt very conflicted with the thought of being alone with Tyler... She was mercilessly attracted to the guy and she didn't know how she was going to be able to handle herself if she were to be alone with him. "I don't know... I mean, I guess we can help..." She smiled meekly at Tyler.

Chris sighed as he recognized that getting through to Leigha was going to be a battle hard fought - and probably narrowly won. He ran a hand through his hair in annoyance but tried not to show his discontent on his face. "Listen, we are the guards of Telous. If you say you are really from Earth and you found the sword there, then the evil might come after you... The least we can do is protect you from that..."

Tyler gave a small smile to Morgan's words before he nodded slightly. "Good," he said before glancing around. "I think the first thing we should do would be to get you some clothes, though. Wearing those clothes here will attract a lot of attention." He gave a small shrug before looking back at her and tilting his head to the side slightly.

Leigha gave a sigh to his words, deciding to just give in. "Fine, fine," she said before looking at him and biting down on her lip. "You just better hope we don't end up getting killed. Because I will definitely haunt you." The last part was a bit of a joke, as she didn't really believe in that kind of thing, but still.
