Oh cool, I've actually never listened to the other one. I thought there was only sfl.
I have! Yeah definitely, they're great. I'd love to see them live, they'd put on the best show I think.

You're the first person I've met who knows them, let alone likes them!
They're hilarious, and while I didn't know them while they were playing (I was tagging along with some family friends) I went home and downloaded their album. I also bought their demo. Rip off for five bucks and three songs, but worth it.
Because it was in a backyard, it was more personal and we stood around and chatted after they played.

The other program is called "The Racket".

Really? Well, I guess considering that their music is quite obscure not many people would have heard of them and they may find that it's not quite their style. It's a required taste I suppose.
They're so good though, their sound is really unique and fresh.
It is a bit, but it's good to support up-and-coming artists!

Oh I'll have to check it out then, thank you!

    Thread resurrection!

My favorite musician is C418. My favorite album of his is Minecraft Volume Beta, which he wrote for the 1.7 update of the game Minecraft. It's beautiful and probably my most favorite album ever. <3

I really like The Brobecks and have since...well, since Dallon joined Panic! and I discovered them. Everything is so theatrical and melodic and Dallon's voice is gorgeous. He sounds kind of like Matt Bellamy from Muse and I adore that. It just makes me so sad that literally none of my friends know who they are / will give them a chance because the music they made was amazing. My obsession with them flared up again this week and it just breaks my heart that I don't have anyone else I can discuss their music with.

    I love Daniel Johnston.
A lot of his music has a layer of white noise since he recorded oldschool with a tapedeck and maybe an organ or his guitar.
His voice is high and nasally, and a little shakey, but his delivery is so honest, you genuinely feel for him.
There is a stronge Beatles influence for sure, but his choices are so authentically his.

I've learned that he is an acquired taste.

PS: I also have a strange tendency to get Irish folksongs stuck in my head that I didn't even know I knew; cue "Star of County Down"
And I've had "Two Little Boys" stuck in my head like nobodies business.
I also know a ton of "Roaring Twenties" songs from people like Noël Coward and Cole Porter.

I adore this electronic duo called Kraftwerk, literally Power-Plant. They are German in heritage, not very well-known, but I think they are wonderful.

I love Daniel Johnston also. His music is eerily beautiful. <3

I unironically love mariachi music and, I guess like, 'traditional' Mexican music, whatever it's called. Love. It. Puts me in a good mood and makes me wanna drink margaritas.

It is eerily beautiful, not just his music, but his concept.

I've been listening to Parov Stelar lately. Electro-swing.

Not my favorite genre ever, but definitely something worth giving a listen to.

Love Parov Stelar, but Caravan Palace are unbeaten imo. :3

I haven't listened to them, actually, sounds like I'll have to give them a listen.

Kraftwerk are incredible, I think it's heartbreaking that hardly anyone knows about them because they are crazy talented.
I'm a huge fan of Elliott Smith's work. Literally no one I know has heard of him which I thought was unusual because he's pretty big as far as I recall, but he had this incredible quality to his voice and he was such a talented guy when it came to music. Needle in the Hay is one of my all-time favourite songs. It's just so chilled-out.

Yes. I'm in love with their music but I can't talk about them to anyone since no one knows them!
My favourite genre is industrial electronica and ambient electronica, as stated above; I really listen to little else!

Jakub Żytecki is a guitarist that's part of a Polish band called Disperse. His band has some pretty good tunes, and his solo stuff is just wow. I'm going on a listening binge of their stuff.

Also, "chillstep" has been really making me feel less anxious and fill the silence. Cool I don't know, I don't pride myself on my music taste 'cause it's not eclectic like everyone else's. So when I find "new" stuff I get overly excited.

I've always loved alt-country and real twangy country-punk. I'm not sure why; I guess it has to do with the music I grew up with listening to the music I discovered later on in life.

I have a feeling this thread will be my new home. XD I like a little bit of everything so I have all kinds of weird likes.
My favorite band ever is Motion City Soundtrack and they seem like a slightly uncommon musical love.
I really love the band Jesse & Joy, but I can't seem to find much of a fandom for them. (They are the band my theme is based on.)
