I used gender to be all-inclusive.

We have a thread for the worst thing about your gender, but not one for the best and I like look at the good side as well.

    ---

I love that I can carry children and give birth to them.

I hate stereotypes about women, but I love shattering them.

I love the two older gentlemen at my bus stop who always say "ladies first" to me.

I love dresses, skirts, heels, etc. I know men can wear these things too, but it is one of the best parts about being a woman for me.

I was just thinking There should be a thread like the one about the worst of being a boy/girl, but the opposite. You, my dear, read my mind File

Well, I like the female body a lot. I love the curves we women have and wear clothes that flatter these curves.
I don't want to have kids in a near future, but I love the idea that we (women) are responsible for bringing life into the world. Sure, men provide the seed, but it grows inside of us, we are feeding it and making it grow, that's so amazing.

And it would only take one tablespoon of sperm to repopulate the earth so if all men died, we'd still be set with all the banked sperm that exists. XD

I love it when we wear guy's clothes we can look sexy, but if a guy wears girl clothes it's like, yeah no. Just don't.

People always say this, but it's not actually true - what is 'sexy' is women wearing vaguely masculine clothes that were still made specifically for women, not women wearing actual men's clothing - if you do the latter people give you dirty looks and consider you a mannish frumpy ugly lesbian not 'sexy'. Even if the men's clothes you wear look relatively non-threatening and androgynous (as opposed to very visibly masculine), people will still call you mannish and ugly, e.g. remember that time when a reported called Rachel Maddow 'an angry young man'? it was an unusual occurrence only because this time it was a vaguely public person saying this, a lot of people love to call her 'he' or 's/he' etc although she's started wearing a lot more 'conventionally feminine' clothing since she's become a public figure. And just this morning I was reading about this woman who was beaten up because her baggy / masculine clothes and short hair made her attacker mistake her for a man and when he realized this he got extremely angry. (Please also notice all the mandatory gross comments on that article about how queer women who wear 'masculine' clothes want to be 'the man' in their relationship.) That said, lesbians are pretty high on the list of benefits / advantages of womanliness.

Oh, I didn't consider this side of it, but what I meant is what you said - when women wear masculine clothes but are made for women. Sorry, I probably should have worded it better.
Jesus Christ, poor woman. Wtf is with people these days, honestly. Good on that woman for sticking up for her son, despite the backlash though.

    @ dru seems insane.
To each her own then? :)

    ---

When we get horny, it's not as obvious as when guys get horny. I remember back in school when I'd be having a sexy day dream and then I'd zone back into class and no one could tell, hahah.

Well, it's sort of disrespectful to tell people not to wear clothes marketed to a specific gender if they want/choose to. Not every person is cisgendered and wants to wear clothes that are marketed to their sex.

I didn't mean it in a disrespectful way, and I'm sorry you took it that way but like I said I probably should have worded it better. When I wrote the comment, I wasn't trying to attack anyone.

    This.

I was going to add another but I couldn't think one up that hasn't already been said. Cry

I don't know, I like how women are generally physically soft, no matter what body type.

Agreed. Like boobs for example - they're like two extra cushions! It's great!

You can also put your phone in your bra if you don't have a pocket but the radiation or something is bad for your breasts, so I try not to do it.

    --

I have yet to experience this, but girls can have multiple orgasms.

We get free entry into clubs, if we're lucky we get free drinks too.

My phone will not fit in my bra. I would look like I head a square boob. XD

    But boobs are awesome.

Phones fit well in knee high boots.

I just tried it with my phone. Not a good idea if I'm sweating and I put my phone in with no screen cover ::palm:
I shall have to invest in boots.

    ---

Maybe it's just my town, but has anyone ever noticed that in stores the girl's section is always substantially bigger than it is in the guy's section? In my closest shopping centre/mall most of the clothing stores cater to women. Now that's what I call a benefit of being a chick.

I love the fact that I can obsess over a boyband and no one will call me gay even if I'm not (this happened to a guy at my school today who likes 1D so I figured I'd put that out there)

I also like being able to wear makeup.

I LOVE that I get to paint my nails.

And I love that the elderly men at church always tell me that when I get older I'm going to be a knockout, even if I don't always believe them.

    Boobs. Forever boobs.

    Being a kick-ass feminist princess.

Reclaiming pink and glitter and femme things that are seen as stereotypical things you can only like as a certain type of girl. Hell yeah I can be dressed head to foot in 'guys' clothes and then have a massive unicorn hair band.

There are never queues for mens' toilets in public. XD It makes me chuckle to myself when I walk past a long queue of women waiting to use the bathroom and I can just waltz into the men's room. tehe

The voice. I love tenor, baritone and bass voices in general, so I like that I have one too.

The fact that I don't really have any reason to shave anywhere other than my face (although I'm keeping this one PG-13 Shifty) XD

To be honest, I would say it's reasonably balanced between guys and girls. I mean, unless a guy is wearing insanely tight jeans, or something stretchy like trackies, erections are generally not as hard to hide as people make out. And I think both guys and girls generally give away their horniness by being visibly fidgety and on-edge, rather than anatomical giveaways. tehe

    Boobs are nice. c:
Most people I know see me as this nice, gentle, little girl, so if I look at someone and say "Please?" they give in pretty easily, haha.

I love this part of being a woman so much. Reclaiming feminine articles, attitudes, behaviors, etc.

It saddens me that I can't think of anything else that I love about being my gender.
