Is there anyway my story can be over 15,000?

If not, yesterday I wrote a one-shot about Fra Fee, may I enter that since it is new and I had just wrote it?

The Fra Fee fandom is very small. Only three stories are out at this moment, one is mine. You can check the info tab, I only wrote it yesterday. I'm just worried and I think the story I wrote just for this contest is going to take a bit longer and be more than 15,000.

I just finished writing my story, but I didn't bother checking my word count once while I was writing, and it turns out I'm about 4,600 words over the limit. Of course I'm going to go through and do some editing and cut stuff, but I'm worried I won't be able to cut out 4,600 words without compromising the story! I hate asking for an exception to be made for me, but how serious would it be if the word count is a couple thousand over 15,000? I can adapt to whatever! I'm just wondering just how much editing I'm gonna need to do ;)

Can I enter with Metallica/Megadeth?
Also, does the story have to be finished?
