Addy let out a quiet laugh, shaking her head. "Who says I can't be both?" She asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. She and Josh had always been able to joke around with each other, and maybe that was why Vada had constantly been bugging her about giving him a chance. She knew she'd be hearing it from her friend when she saw her next and, in all honesty, she knew that she deserved all of the I-told-you-sos in the world. Because she was having a great time so far, and she was sure that the rest of the evening would go just as smoothly as the first part had. Her eyebrows rose in response to his later words, and she was about to say something in response, though the waiter came over before she had the opportunity to do so. This conversation certainly wasn't over though, not by a long shot. "The steak sounds good."
"I will not be an accomplice in your deviant ways, Vada." Max said, chuckling slightly. He couldn't help thinking how adorable she looked when she pouted the way that she was. Of course, he always thought she looked adorable, but that was besides the point. "If you get yourself sent to the slammer, it'll be by your own accord. Like I said earlier, I'm too pretty to go to jail. I'd get eaten alive in there." He grinned slightly. "Being cute doesn't automatically make you the winner, hate to break it to you, V." He argued. "You and Dan are both equally over dramatic. I don't think one of you is worse than the other. Sorry." He shrugged his shoulders. Max was honestly pretty surprised that she was telling him everything that she was. She hardly ever opened up like this, but he was listening, and he'd always listen to what she had to say. No matter what. "You haven't really let me say much, you know. You're telling me about this bloke who broke your heart in high school, he was obviously a wanker by the way, but you haven't even let me tell you how I feel about any of this."
