English is my first language but I grew up around Spanish and Italian just as much. I lived in France for a while and picked up some French, I learned some German and a while ago I learned sign language. I also study the dead language Latin. I tend to think in Spanish Italian and English all in one and when I speak I tend to forget to only use English confusing many of my friends and teachers.

Japanese is my major at my university, so yes, I can speak it fairly well! I want to be a book translator. My first language, haha, is English.

Spanish is the main one, but English is also the main one, also I know a little bit of French. I can understand some Italian surprisingly ...it's weird.

English is my native tongue, but I also speak/understand a lot of Spanish because I have been learning it in school for 10 years. I know a bit of Japanese too, because I went through an anime phase for 3 years, and have a Nintendo DS game on learning the language tehe

I speak Japanese (my first language!) and English... though I wish my Japanese was better. I can speak it fine with my parents, but I struggle with confidence when it comes to speaking with strangers. And I am very behind on reading and writing in Japanese...

but I plan to immerse myself in the language and kinda force myself to learn. Learning languages has been on my bucket list for a while...

Speaking of which, I recently decided with a friend of mine that I was going to learn Russian...OMFG
    ...we'll see how that goes.

Thought I'd share my language 'skills' as well then :D
My native tongue is Estonian, which is a lovely language. Has a lot of vocals and don't mix it up with Finnish. It's just not the same :D
I speak rather fluent English, and should speak German and Russian as well, but I'm a bit scared to use those two in public. Unless I really-really have to.
And I know some words in French, Italian...Latin... Spanish.... Latvian..Icelandic... But that's limited to only a few words and phrases, because I haven't actually studied any of them. :)

I also love languages, to the point that if I'm absentmindedly doing a crossword puzzle or something the answer in a few different languages will pop into my head. My native language is English, I started learning Japanese 10-ish years ago in order to translate my favorite songs, my obsession with Mandarin pop music made me start to learn Mandarin a few years back but then I got distracted (I can speak fairly basic Mandarin, though), my Mexican ex-boyfriend and a Colombian schoolteacher with started teaching me Spanish a couple years ago--I can understand Spanish but largely fail to form my own coherent sentences in it in part because I think gendered nouns are appallingly stupid--and from watching Korean soap operas I accidentally picked up a surprising amount of Korean even though I did not want to. I tried to learn French but it turns out I hate French, though I can understand a bit of it. My comprehension of Latin isn't that bad.

Also I'm pretty sure I'm totally fluent in swearing.

English is my first language, but I'm always able to carry on a conversation and can say a lot of things in sign language.

English is my first language. I can read and write Spanish okay, but I have no confidence in speaking because people always laugh; I'm not good with the accent. I'm also learning Russian and I'm pretty good with the accent in that, but I have issues with all the different cases and the verb conjugation.

I wish there was a way to speak Morse code without sounding like a broken robot, because I'd never speak English again.

English and Spanish fluently and with ease. I know the French, Italian, and Korean greeting, and scattered bits of the above mentioned as well as German, Finnish, Greek, and Japanese. Cute

English is my first language, however I am becoming semi-fluent in Spanish and sometimes slip and speak in it around folks who don't understand, thus confusing them.

English is my first language. I took classes for Spanish when I was in school but to date all I can read/understand are menu's at restaurants. It's quite embarrassing to be honest. Writing aside, my love for them is the only interest that has survived me growing up.
