I just searched to see if there was a topic about astrology and I was shocked to find that there wasn't. I'm really intrigued by it and I definitely believe that it's valid. So, is anyone else into it? What's your sun sign? Rising sign? Moon sign? Post your whole chart if you want tehe

I'm a Libra. You can look at my full birth chart here. You can calculate your own birth chart here.

P.S. I wasn't sure what section to put this in, but I decided that culture was probably the best bet...? Sorry if that's wrong.

I'm an Aquarius apparently, but I don't believe in astrology. That is, I don't believe that the positioning of the stars and planets at my birth have any effect whatsoever on what goes on in my life. I don't see how there can be a causal link.

I'm pretty into it as well. I know a lot of people don't believe in it/don't think it's valid, but I fit my sign(s) perfectly. I'm a Libra-Scorpio cusp, and I embody pretty much every characteristic I'm "supposed" to have. I don't believe in horoscopes and things like that, though.

I'm Scorpio, ascendant Virgo, according to my birth chart and I was told many times that I fit my sign. Unsure

I think Astrology is interesting and all, but I don't know if I believe it or not. I guess I just don't know it enough to judge. One thing I find really weird is that I know another person who was born the same day as I and we are as different as two people can be. If we are the same sign we should be a bit more alike, right?
Funnily enough, we absolutely can't get along and that's when we are told it's because of our sign, but I sincerely don't know.

Horoscope is something I really don't believe.

I'm a Virgo (ascendant / rising AND sun sign) with a Capricorn moon.

I've been a skeptic of astrology because it isn't scientifically sound, but, I've been doing research and it correlates so well in regards to myself and the people I interact with often. I don't like daily horoscopes; those aren't accurate to me. I don't like how people think it's a "be all, end all" type of thing either where they will say "oh, I'm a ____ so that means I can't be friends / in a relationship with a ____." I don't like viewing human beings as their signs.

I'm glad I learn more & more about myself through astrology, and it's alright if people think it's not true at all. It doesn't bother me; I just wish they'd give it a chance because there are people who are professionals in this field.

But correlation doesn't imply causality, right? And there are so many things that can skew perception of these correlations, like confirmation bias, moving the goalposts, etc.

What constitutes professionalism in astrology, out of interest?

I'm an Aquarius. Both my Moon and Rising sign is Scorpio.

As far as I know, most astrological descriptions match me and a lot of the people I know. Whether it's true or not is up in the air. I don't, however, believe that "horoscopes" are real nor that your sign can tell you who your friends or romantic partner should be.

I'm a Cancer ascendant Cancer with a Gemini moon. I thought all of the descriptions fit me almost perfectly. I agree with @LostinTime (and everyone else) about the horoscopes part, or that your sign can tell you who your friends or romantic partner should be. I think those things just happen — I'm not a firm believer in the "everything happens for a reason" saying.

But yeah, astrology rocks. Love it. So interesting, I'm going to make time to learn more about it.

I'm a cancer. I mostly look at horoscopes for fun, and then use them to joke around with people like, "But you're a cancer and he's a virgo! The stars have not aligned for this match!"

I also sometimes just look up compatibility to joke about celebrity crushes. "That actor is a scorpio and I'm a cancer, which means that my obsessive love is not creepy, but rather my just fulfilling what the stars want. We should clearly be married now."

I made my natal chart a long time ago. tehe (Which is here.)

I've noticed that it's kind of common for people to assume they only have one zodiac sign, that being their sun sign, and because that doesn't fit with their personality or whatever, they consider it inaccurate. I mean, I'm not a die-hard believer in the zodiac or anything but I do fit quite well into my zodiac signs. Sun, moon, rising, etc. It's actually kinda fun. I've gotten a few people interested in their natal charts after I explained that their sun sign isn't their only zodiac and you have to take their moon and rising in account especially. Coffee

I used to hate what time of the year my birthday was at, but I've "embraced" my Leo so I actually quite enjoy it and find it amusing.

I know so many people don't believe in the whole astrolog thing, but I do. Sometimes it is so a accurate it's actually scary.

These are generous and emotional souls. Quite popular in their social circles for being a genuine friend to everyone, a Pisces-born values human relations the most and puts the people he loves above everything else. However, there also exists a darker side to their personalities. Now, let’s have a look at some of their positive and negative traits.

    Positive traits

    Imaginative
Highly creative and imaginative, the Pisces can think abstract and come up with extremely innovative ideas. Their imagination power has the capacity to take them to great heights.

    Kind
The Pisces-born are very kind people who will treat others just the way they want themselves to be treated.

    Compassionate
The people in need will always find a helpful person in the Pisces-born. Compassionate that they are, the Pisces always empathise with people and try to help them out.

    Intuitive
They are extremely intuitive. More than logical reasoning, facts and figures, the Pisces rely on their sixth-sense while taking a decision.

    Sensitive
Caring and gentle, the Pisces-born are sensitive souls. If something is wrong, it affects them deeply, and they develop extreme feelings regarding the matter.

    Selfless
A Pisces will go out of his way to help others. However, their selfless deeds may not always be acknowledged or appreciated.

    Negative traits

    Escapist
The Pisces tend to be escapists. When things go wrong, they will blame it on their bad luck or something else and just avoid to deal with it.

    Idealistic
They are very particular about how things should be. Idealistic that they are, even the best is mediocre for them at times.

    Over-sensitive
The Pisces tend to make a mountain of a molehill. These people unnecessarily take everything to heart and feel extreme emotions.

That is me. That is SO me.
Pair that with the fact that I'm an INFJ and you'll be able to read me like a freakin book.

I was born on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini so I'm very conflicting. Apparently. I don't know.

How in the hell do people ascertain what constitutes a reliable source when it comes to descriptions of star signs?

Woah! Hello fellow Piscean and INFJ type! That's so weird...now if you tell me you're also a Type 4 on the Enneagram test, I'll be seriously freaked. Shocked

I used to believe I matched my sign so well that it was scary too...but then I think I changed, in a way that's not good. Facepalm I'm trying to fix it, but because I guess we feel on such a deep level; and especially if it's negative - which it is, it's so hard to snap out of it! Lately I get extremely melancholic and it's hard to keep to myself, no matter how badly I want to do so in order to prevent myself from dampening moods of others....I just wondered, do you ever experience this?

I think that either I cannot figure out the reason for this melancholy, or it's due to several factors which I cannot pin-point. This must be why it's stressing and confusing me so much...

I think typical traits of us are creativity, empathy, a longing for freedom and to feel like we've established ourselves as somebody rather than nobody. I guess, right now, I don't feel very good in the creative department any more, I do long for freedom but know I can't have it - so in this sense I feel trapped with no escape, and I'm really struggling with regards to what and who I want to be in life. I've tried various career quizzes and almost always get given the result of a writer/artist/carer/actor, which definitely matches with the astrological sign! But I don't feel that it matches with me any more. Would I like to have any of those careers? Yes, definitely the writer, artist or actor ones! But I don't have the experience, motivation or confidence for anything any more; especially these.

Like this, it sucks...and sometimes I hate myself for the only thing I know I am; a Pisces, but then I remember being so happy and comfortable with life some years ago. So I guess I must try to find that happiness, comfort and confidence again somehow.

This sounds like a good moan and rant, and in a way I guess it was...?
Just wondered, though, if people have been in similar positions before.

Hi hi! Cute I'm a Virgo, sister sign of Pisces and my best friend is a Pisces so I've discussed this type of stuff at length with her. Because the sign of Pisces is of the dual fishes going against each other à la yin and yang, that's why you feel very conflicted at times. You are a mutable sign such as myself so that accounts for it as well.

You have constant struggles because of this opposition within and it can lead to confusion and sometimes very negative thought processes. You are ruled by Neptune, which is about escapism and magic; the occult and the like. You can live in your head too much because of all the emotions swirling around ensnaring you.

I don't like to talk too openly about astrology because I get people who roll their eyes at me so I test the waters with people I know that are open minded. Astrology isn't all "bullshit" to me; it takes some getting used to and research though. Because it's not considered science, people automatically dismiss it---within good reason, for the most part.

But birth charts are much more difficult to deny. I cannot deny an iota of my free birth chart, as sad as that may sound. Have you done one of those before? It helps a lot to figure out your "ideal" career paths. WAY more so than Jung's test imo.
