I definitely like that as an idea. So would we have Veronica fleeing, or is she going to be basically the instigator of the "if you say anything to anyone I will kill you" sort of thing? I reckon she could work with either of them. Rae's going to agree to anything that'll let her keep her practice so she won't even need any prodding. Nathan isn't about to go incriminating himself just to get at Veronica (and he's terrified of her anyway so that rules that out) so they'd both be up for keeping a secret.

Veronica would never flee, that's not who she is. She would definitely be that instigator and I'm sure Nathan wouldn't think twice about blabbing because he knows she'd kill him. I mean, the discussion on the previous page sounds good and all, but having it actually come into play with our characters and who they are doesn't sound like something that would work. I'm sure Nathan, if he was caught, wouldn't blab about anyone because he still has feelings for Rae and he probably knows that if he pointed fingers then it would somehow end up with the finger being pointed at her as well, but Veronica is cold and ruthless and doesn't care about anyone so if she ever got arrested for it, she'd make damn sure they all went down with her. So if we had her arrested, we'd end the story where the ones who are still alive are all arrested for their crimes, and I didn't think that was what we wanted.

Not to mention, Veronica is the only one out of them all who has the money and resources to buy the best damn lawyer money can get.

That's a good point, definitely. So we could definitely have it as some die, some flee and the rest are sworn to secrecy. That'd definitely work.

On the chapter front, I had started but now my external hard-drive has died a death and I didn't back my work up anywhere else so I'm going to have to start from scratch. I'll try and get it up by this weekend, I'm working full time from Monday to Friday so I'll probably not get a chance to re-write until Friday night.

Oh god, I thought I'd replied. I'm pretty sure your chapter now is the last one before she dies? I think that Rae's next chapter signals the start of the last round of chapters, and we were having Veronica killing Eiko??

I assumed we were going into the last round anyway, because everybody's getting paranoid as hell.

Kimi, the last thing I can see of Eiko in the chapters was in Rae's last chapter, at the very end. You could probably have her anywhere at this point, if you wanted!

Eiko was pretty much falling apart in her last chapter, what with Eriko being going missing, so she can pretty much do anything that shows her decline without her sister nearby. It'd set her up for her death.
