    [sure]

Aria cried out in pain as they strapped her to the table. She had been ripped from the water and thrown in this salt pool where they would drag her out every so often and hurt her until she gave them her tears. Aria's tears had many uses but where often used in human healings. One drop could turn a person from sad to happy, could heal any sickness and is the tear is strong enough could bring someone back from the dead, of course with some limitation. You had to get the tear inside them within 24 hours. Aria screamed as they prodded her side and she pulled at the chains her tail hurting at the restraints holding her down. Aria's hair was a wild mess of red and her skin red from all the torcher. But somewhere underneath all that you could still see the beauty she possessed. The water was her healing agent and kept her alive every time they would put her back it kept her alive. Aria screamed when they prodded three long needles into her hip, into her tail. Her scream shattered any glass near by and sent the sailors to their knees but they got their tears after she feel to the table. Three tears at a time. Aria was tossed back into the pool. The sailors who had been her torchers where wheeled off to try and restore their eardrums. Aria sat at the bottom of the pool nursing herself for a while but she had to try and get out. She knew one thing she hadn't yet tried. It was late and Aria sat on the side of the pool her tail inside the water. Aria looked up at the window bring in the moonlight and started to sing. The water played her melody as she sang to those that could hear her. She sent to sleep those that would stop anyone who would rescues her. Aria called to the one that would save her.

Peter was walking down the town street looking around for his best friend Isabella. He hadn't talk to her in the weeks she had been gone on vacation. Wenda, his girlfriend kept him busy most the time anyways. He knew Isabella had gotten back today. He missed his best friend. Peter ran a hand through his hair. He was lucky to get the day away from Wenda. She was off shopping for something with her mom. Peter really need a break of his own.

Eric was walking around their little stopping area for a night of rest. He was a sailor - and a pretty good one at that. He didn't always like his job with being on the water all the time, but he had learned to get used to it. He was just checking out the area, seeing what they could possibly get from anywhere near here while they were stopped. He might as well look at some of the merchandise - especially when he didn't get much time to himself. That was when he heard the most beautiful voice that he had ever heard in his life. It was a brilliant, soft yet enchanting voice and he was nearly mesmerized by it. He had to find it. Any woman who belonged to that voice would certainly be beautiful and he wanted a chance to catch up with this woman and admire her for at least a moment. Before he knew it, his legs were walking on without any care in the world, only looking for that voice - only thinking about that voice and desiring to see the owner of the voice. He found the little pool after a lot of wandering and his eyes were amazed. Such beauty. Such beauty he hadn't seen in all of his years and he wanted to get to her. He couldn't get in since the barricade around her was locked, but he smashed the lock. He needed to see her. He could tell she was hurt and he wanted to make sure she was okay!

Isabella was getting butterflies in her stomach as she waited for Peter to find her. She had been on a long month's vacation with her family, and she had missed having Peter to talk to everyday. They had promised they would talk everyday - but even when that promise was made, she had known that it wouldn't happen. The boy was enamored with his girlfriend, Wenda, and he knew that she wasn't going to hear from him at all. Wenda was an attention hog and she knew that she didn't particularly like Peter having a best friend like Isabella. It was annoying...but maybe that was because it broke Isabella's heart. What did he see in a girl like that anyway?! It wasn't fair.. Couldn't he see the way that Isabella was in love with him and she wished that he felt the same way. She didn't know what to do, but as she happened to spot Peter in a crowd, she swallowed all of those emotions and managed to smile. "Peter!" She said happily, rushing forward so that she could give him a big hug. "I missed you so much - how are you?"

Aria finished her song knowing it would last some time. She looked at the man. "Help... help me please." her voice was soft and the moonlight seemed to shine onto her casing her in a beautiful light. "I have to get out of here. I need to go back to the ocean." Aria said and reached for him. Aria looked up at him as he knelt beside her and her heart leapt. She reached out and touched his cheek her skin softer then anything on earth. Everything about her drew him in. Aria let her hand drop and took his hand. "Carry me out to the ocean." she said softly her seaweed green eyes capturing his eyes. Aria wrapped her arms around his neck as he helplessly followed her every will.

Peter spun around hearing his name being called by the best voice in the world. He chuckled when he felt Isabella in his arms. "Bell." Peter spun her around and set her down kissing her cheek. "You're back." he said and grinned like a fool. "I missed you." he said and put his arm around her. Peter was a very touchy feely guy. He always hugged and showed his emotions with how he reacted to someone. Peter smiled. "I'm great how are you?" he asked and lead her over to the town park.

Eric was still mesmerized by her. He loved how beautiful she was and he was crazy about her. Her voice was still as beautiful when she was talking instead of singing and he smiled. He didn't know if his ears were even understanding her words but his body still reacted to it. As he picked her up, he was still in awe with how soft her skin was. He wanted to run his hands all over her and he was still amazed by her. "You're beautiful," he whispered in a soft voice as he carried her to the ocean. He wanted to make sure she would be safe.

Isabella was happy when she got to be in his arms. She was always more comfortable there; she had always imagined being held in his arms for more than just a friendly hug - but currently he had Wenda and she wished she could be more to him. "I'm really good!" She said happily and leaned into him as he held his arm around her. "I really really did miss you!" She emphasized again. He was saying he missed her too, be how could she believe him? He had Wenda to keep him company.

Aria breathed a sigh of relief as he lead her out. She looked into his eyes. "What's you're name sailor?" Aria asked and placed a hand over his heart feeling his heart. He had a good heart otherwise he wouldn't be he one here. Aria was just lucky he was around. Aria could smell the ocean from here and she was ready to go home. No one knew where home was for her and she planed to always keep it like that. Aria had a lot to take into consideration when her safety was involved and she wouldn't make the same mistake twice. She wouldn't save anymore sailors. Aria knew though that this sailor was different. She might for him if it was safe. Aria grinned as they got to the beach her freedom within reach. She wasn't to shocked when the man walked straight into the ocean so he could set her in deeper water.

Peter cupped her face looking into her eyes. "I really really missed you too." he grinned. "With out you I have no excuse to take a day off." Peter knew Wenda was hard for Bell because Wenda was a jealous girlfriend. He couldn't really blame her though. Peter let Bell's face go and took her hand headed toward the trees where they could really hang out and not be found by Wanda. Peter knew she would call him later anyways and harass him into going back to her place.

Eric smiled down at this lovely creature in his arms. He was indeed enamored by her and he wished to hold her closer. He wished to know more about this sweet creature that seemed so hurt and broken. What were these horrible people doing to her anyway? It wasn't right. When she placed her hand over his hand, he smiled. "Eric," he answered softly as he started walking into the waves of the ocean. He didn't want to let her go yet though... "Eric Smyth. Do I have the pleasure of knowing your name?" He asked softly as he got into the deeper water. Would he ever see her again? He knew the answer was probably no...and he hated that answer.

Isabella nearly melted. The way he could take such command by holding her face and looking into her eyes... Nearly breath taking. She was certainly in awe and wished that she had more than just a friendly gaze - but one of real passion and love. Why couldn't she have that with him? "From Wenda, you mean?" She asked gently, trying to hide her jealousy. "I know she doesn't like that either - she doesn't like when you spend too much time with me." It hurt that she was limited to her time with Peter because of Wenda. What did he see in that girl anyway? She was nothing special...

Aria looked at him and touched his cheek. "Aria." She slowly pulled away from him. "Aria Delmare. Thank you Eric." she said and leaned in pressing her lips to his cheek. "I will be your sea angel." she whispered and pulled out of his arms. Looking at him once more and swam into the ocean leaving him chest deep in the waves as she swam away. Far enough away to not be in danger but close enough to watch him return to shore. Aria then turned and swam deeper into the ocean headed toward the home toward her island.

Peter hugged her. "Come on don't bring her up again. We already went over this." he said and kissed her temple. "Let's get going." he said and leading her into the trees. Peter went in deep and then climbed the tree latter. Peter made it up and helped her with the last few steps as she came up. He sighed and laid back in the makeshift bed pulling her into his side. Peter pulled out a book they had been reading together. "Now do you want to continue or shall I?" he asked. He knew they needed something more to talk about other then Wenda right now and this would at least give them half an hour.

Maybe it was his greed, but Eric didn't want to see her go. She was so beautiful and the way she spoke her name echoed in his head. Aria Delmare. That would be a name he never forget. He was still mesmerized and he didn't want to let go of this sea angel of his. He watched the water until he couldn't see anymore and he hung his head defeatedly, wishing he hadn't had to let her go. "Goodbye my sea angel." He whispered into the dead of the night and then turned to head back to shore. He felt empty for a long time; how had he let this beauty go? A sailor always knew how to get what he wanted. He should've kept her as his.

Isabella was slightly unwilling to drop the subject - but at the same time, she felt that she should've been happy since he didn't want to talk about her. Was there trouble in paradise? Maybe she was selfish, but she hoped so... She wished that she could have him to herself instead of being the third wheel. She loved him. As they made their way up to their little hideout, she smiled as he pulled her into him and she was cuddled into his side. "You can," she said, leaning into him as much as she could. She would never admit it, but she loved listening to the sound of his voice. It comforted her... It made her feel safe and loved, and she always enjoyed when he was reading to her.

Aria was sad for him. Her song should wear off soon enough and he will wonder what happened and why he was wet. She just hoped the feeling of her fades with the song as well. That was why she hadn't used her song to begin with. It was a siren song not a mermaid song. Mermaids didn't sing much and never to humans, it was to risky. Only a siren would. Aria had spent time with both type and found she didn't like either. Mermaids had their downfalls as much as a siren did. Aria got to shore on her island and moved further up into the dry sand. She moved her hand over her tail watching it dry and then turn into beautiful white legs. She bit her lip. Water made her turn and it was why she couldn't live among the humans. Aria belonged no where. Aria hoped that one day all this would change and she could belong somewhere again.

Peter smiled and nodded opening the book to where they left off. He leaned his head on hers and started to read a chapter of Treasure Island. Peter enjoyed holding onto Isabella. Peter's time with her was the only sane time he got. She was content with being quiet and not looking into the future. She was his best friend and his rock. Peter could tell her anything, do anything stupid and she would be right along side him being stupid with him or laughing at it. Isabella was the one he would give his life to protect. Yeah Weda was a great girl but she was never content and it was starting to get to him. She smothered him and he was about to loose his cool. But he was trying to make it work, for the good times they had. Peter was just about to finish the chapter when his phone went off and he sighed. 'It was way to early for her to be done shopping already.' he thought. Peter looked at Isabella.

Eric wander the streets for a long time, feeling as if he had no purpose now that his Aria...his sea angel...was gone. He felt empty for a long time - Nd then it all evaporated. He looked down at himself in confusion, wondering how he was soaking wet when he was in the middle of the town, nowhere near the water. He didn't know what had happened, only that he remembered something that had made him feel so whole, so enamored and in love - but now, whatever it was was gone...and it left him with no recollection of what it had been. It seemed the harder he thought about it, the more the memory slipped further out of his grasp. He wished he knew, but it had been like he was in a trance and he couldn't think straight about it. It was unfair... Whatever had gone left an impact on him - but he had no idea what it was.

Isabella smiled slightly as he opened the book. With his head on top of hers, she felt content. It was so nice to be near him like this and she wished that there was something romantic about it... Of course there wasn't, but she loved the way that he would always hold her so close while they were alone. His voice was relaxing to her and she closed her eyes, listening to the chapter and sighing. She was so in love with him - she just wished that he saw it. When his phone rang, she jumped from the sudden noise and she looked over at him sadly. She knew who it was... She was the only one who called him. "Shouldn't you answer that?" She asked softly, miserably - though she tried her best to play it off.

Aria walked to her makeshift home. there there were more secretes to this island than anyone knew besides her she decided right there on the beach was good enough for her. Aria often ate things fresh from around the beach and in the ocean anyways so she didn't need much. Aria got a fruit and sat in her hammock and ate it watching the sun rise. She felt bad for the sailor that lost an entire night due to her. The others slept but he didn't and he wouldn't remember what happened. Sure it was in her powers to restore that memory to him but she was never going to see him again so it was better off he didn't remember and the sight of her might bring up some memory so it was best she didn't see him. He was handsome though and his heart was pure. Aria felt bad and as she watched the sun rise over her island she tried to forget her own feelings for the pure hearted sailor.

Peter frowned. "After this chapter." he said and let it go to voice mail. He closed the book after finishing the last page in the chapter then looked at her pulling back slightly. "Bell do you want to come to dinner at my place tonight?" he asked and smiled slightly at the thought. He knew the girls didn't like each other but they got along for his sake... or so he thought. Peter for how smart he was had his moments of cluelessness. And mostly it was around girls. He didn't understand them as well as he thought and he was really bad with social hints. Peter was a lay it on the table kind of guy. Peter looked into Isabella's eyes, her deep blue beautiful eyes. Oh how he wished she would come. She always kept things interesting.

Eric wandered around for the rest of the night. He was still completely lost and he wished that he could know what was going on. Of course, maybe he had just gotten drunk or something - but he wasn't left with that same kind of hangover... He could describe it as a hangover, but it was quite different than the normal one. He wasnt feeling the normal headache and pain of the drunkenness - only a crazed desire for something that he couldn't even remember at the moment. He wished that he did but he didn't understand it. It was going to kill him. When they were getting back onto the ship to set off, he hadn't gotten a wink of sleep and he was jealous of all of the guys that had gotten plenty more than he had. The mysterious events of the night before were still replaying in his head...and he wanted to understand.

Isabella was slightly surprised by his answer. She wasnt used to him turning down a call from his lover - but it certainly pleased her. She hated when he had to run off to please Wenda and she liked the way her heart was beating in this happiness of him letting her have her time with him just like Wenda caught. She basked in the sound of his voice and then smiled as he finished the chapter. He was looking distinctly in her blue eyes in a way that caught her off guard and she smiled up at him, leaning in to kiss his cheek, since she loved when her lips were against his skin. She sighed and then shrugged. "I would love to - but isn't your girlfriend going to be mad about that?" She asked softly. "I really don't want to be the cause of World War III."

Aria went to bed for a nap as the sun rose higher in the sky. Her sleep schedule was all thrown off. Aria curled up in her blankets and grinned. She was so glad she was back in her home. No one ever found her here unless the ocean brought them to her and it never did unless they where dead. She would give the dead sailors a proper sea burial. Aria knew her life was lonely but she looked at her life like she was the keeper of the sea. Aria fell into a dream and to her surprise she saw Eric walking down the beach toward her. She woke with a start finding several hours had passed.

Peter smiled at her and chuckled. "World War III?" he shook his head and messed up her hair."Wenda will be fine with it. It's your first day back." Peter said. "She'll get over it please come to dinner." he said and cupped her cheek. "Please." he said and looked at her his eyes pleading. He didn't want to be alone with Wenda again tonight. She had been suggesting they find a place to move into together. He wasn't ready for that yet.

The water was quite unruly today. It jerked the boat here and there and threw the few men on ship around like crazy. There weren't many of them on the ship today since they expected to do a light load of work - but now they really could've used extea men with the crazy waves that were making the boat go crazy. Eric had a good suspicion that they might die on this boat and he hated the thoughts of it. Sea angel ran through his mind, but he had no idea what it meant. Sea angel, sea angel, sea angel! As the ways crashed against the sides of the ship, that was all he thought about - and somehow he knew it fit into the lost memories of the night before. He was certain he was going crazy.

Isabella sometimes hated how oblivious and lovingly touchy Peter was. He touched her cheek and played with her hair as if they were lovers, but yet he had no idea that he set her heart on fire like he did. She felt so alone in that fact and she sighed. His encouraging words made her smile quite a lot and she nodded her head softly. "Fine - I'll come to dinner - but if Wenda says anything about me imposing, I'm blaming you!" She teased. She leaned into him and hugged him again, knowing she was going to miss his touch once they were near Wenda and they could no longer do so.

Aria stepped out of her tent finding that the ocean was unrestful and the skies where filling with a storm. Aria watched the waves become higher and then the rain started. It poured down hard. Aria looked up into the sky as the rain hit her and she took off running toward the sea. It looked like tonight she would spend her night in the sea. Aria dived into the deeper part of the ocean as her tail appeared. Aria sighed. Just from being in the ocean she could tell how many boats where in danger and how many sailors would meet their maker. But Aria felt around for one heart she knew she had a favor to repay. She hadn't thought she would need to repay it so soon and she hoped not. She hoped he didn't go overboard.

Peter smiled. He kissed her head and then pressed his forehead to hers. Wenda wouldn't talk about moving with Isabella around. Peter pulled back. "I'll be right back." he said and went outside the tree house onto the deck and leaned against the tree as he made his call. "Hey baby sorry I missed your call I was in the shower." he lied. Peter knew better then to say he had let it go because he was with Isabella and he knew she wouldn't correct Wenda. Isabella and Peter were a team, an inseparable and perfect team. "Dinner tonight? Yeah I'm cooking at my place. It's a surprise." he said when she asked about what he was making. "Yeah you can come over in a little while, let me get dinner started and I'll call you." he said. "Yeah you to bye." he said and hung up. He had avoided saying he loved her too. He didn't know how he felt anymore and it confused him. Peter went back in and grinned. "Ready?"

The boat was getting harder and harder to control. it was like the ocean was showing no mercy tonight. There was nothing they could do about it and all they could do was wait. He was at the front of the boat, his station, trying to control things. It was taking the worst hits, but there was nothing he could do to leave his station. Abandoning his post would ruin everything that was set in this emergency action plan. Then again, he regretted staying as the wave came crashing over the side. Such force hit him that he couldn't control it. He choked up on it and then he was over the side. Knocked out too...which wasn't so helpful for staying alive.

Isabella smiled brightly when he kissed her forehead and rested his forehead against hers. She loved it. There was something about it that always made her wonder how it would be to be in his arms for real - like when they would actually be in love. She could just imagine how good it would feel to be in his arms like that. When he went out for his call, she sighed. She didn't want to listen, but she did. It broke her heart to hear him call her Wenda and she cuddled into the blanket, missing the feeling of him being so close to her. When he came back in, she put in the best smile that she could, fake or not, and she nodded her head. "Yeah - and I'll help you make dinner!" She said with a smile.

Aria felt him hit the waves and she swam toward the boat carefully. She knew it was dangerous but he had saved her and now it was her turn to save him. Aria came up seeing him sinking. She went up and pulled him to her. She looked at his head and held his face in her hands. Aria kissed him so that he would be able to breath under water. Aria gently pulled him away from the ship. She held Eric to her watching as his ship wrecked into the volcano. Aria frowned. The waves pushing him over board had saved his life. Aria pulled him up onto her beach and sat next to him as the rain beat down on them. She got him breathing making sure he was okay as she tried to keep him warm through the rainstorm.

Peter smiled at Isabella. "Good because I got to take a shower too. He smirked and then took her hand. "Come on." he said and started down the tree house ladder. Peter got to the bottom and took Isabella's hips and set her down once she got to the end. He grinned and put his arm around her leading her out of the forest. "I was thinking we could make your favorite." he said a little nervous for Wenda coming over. She had been more possessive recently.
