    Suicide Prevention Resources

As a part of our participation in World Suicide Prevention Day, we'd like to gather suicide prevention resources and keep our list in Mibba's Crew to the Rescue thread.

If you know of any suicide prevention websites, hotlines, or other resources that could help Mibbians who are thinking of suicide or going through a tough time, please leave a post here.

    * Since Mibba is a site that serves members all over the world, we'll be adding resources that are available world-wide or in specific countries (for resources you can only access in specific countries, we'll put them in a special section).

I know that in the U.S, we have the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and their number is 1-800-273-8255. They also have a free chat for people who aren't comfortable speaking over the phone.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a good help for people wanting to reach out. They have a lot of resources for people struggling with suicidal feelings and mental illness in general. I've seen them to be a pretty big help for me. I'm not sure if they're international, but I know they operate all over the U.S.

I don't know how many people it would help, but I also know of the San Francisco Suicide Prevention which caters to people within the California Bay Area. Their number is (415) 781-0500 if you want to include it.

I know there's more that I know of but I can't remember them at the moment.

I can verify that the UK number on louis tomlinson.'s list is the Samaritan's 24 hour helpline if that helps.
For the UK, we have quite a few good resources in addition to the Samaritan line that helps people with suicide prevention and issues that are related to suicide, such as bullying, mental illness, and self-harm.

This is late but there's this Suicide Prevention Wiki / directory of international suicide prevention resources. It mostly focuses on the US and Canada but there are actually listings for every continent, plus online resources including chats in several languages (but mostly English – though since most people on Mibba speak at least some English, I suppose it's all right).

I also study the topic about family arrangements) and recently found this members.australiacounselling.com.au/counsellor-blog/family-constellations-maria-dolenc/. Just on the site there is an interview with Gestalt therapist Maria Dolenz. She holds seminars throughout Australia and abroad. You can watch the video straight on the site and learn more about Mary from the biography.

I'm truly grateful for this comprehensive compilation of suicide prevention resources. It's so important to have a go-to list readily available for anyone who might need it or for those who want to support others going through tough times. The depth and variety of resources here could make a real difference in someone's life. I'd also like to suggest considering online therapy as another valuable resource. Online therapy platforms like Calmerry: https://calmerry.com/online-therapy/ offer accessible and confidential support for those who might benefit from professional guidance. Thanks for this invaluable compilation and for shedding light on such an important issue. Remember, help is out there.
