The TV show just started and so far it's been a lot of fun to watch, especially for a Marvel nerd like me! What do you all think of it?

I loved so much the reference to Captain America at the end of the pilot. Lola is so one of Howard Stark's!

I think overall it's good but does have some flaws. Firstly I was a bit confused, in the first episode, who/what the Rising Tide was, I felt that should have been explained better. Also, I do really like Sky, but I feel she really doesn't have a purpose with them yet. I wish they had given her one, because right now she just kinda seems like a tag along, damsel in distress. Which she totally isn't, I know she'll probably end up saving everyone or something, but still.

I'm not entirely sure if I like it or not yet. I'm going to give it a few more episodes and see. I really hope some good characterization happens, because as of right now I'm not the biggest fan of the scientists; there's something about them that feels a bit...off, or forced right now. In the second episode, when they're butting heads with the team leader guy, it felt too much like the "jocks vs nerds", "brawns vs brains" trope which I think is a little overdone. I'm not all that interested in Sky right now. Really, I'm just hanging on for Melinda May, who I'm totally in love with and want to know more about, and Coulson. And I love their little brotp.

I am also very interested in knowing what the repeated reference to Tahiti is about.

So I just watched the second episode and I'm on the border about whether it's something I want to continue watching. Even though things have happened in the episodes at the same time nothing has really happened. If it wasn't for it being to do with Marvel and Shield, the lack of anything really happening would have driven me away by now. First episodes are crucial but I didn't think it really hit the target of being appealing enough. I like Skye but I'm not sure on the rest, especially the scientists because like said above, they do seem kinda forced.

Overall, I kind of expected a bit more in the opening episodes and was disappointed. But I'll be sticking around for the rest (at least the ones soon) to get a proper judgement of it after there is characterisation happening, hopefully.

    I agree with this XD

I've only watched up until the second episode too, but I feel like it's lacking and could do with a lot of characterisation. I don't know why Skye is there, aside from a potential romantic plot, and it's starting to bug me. I'm just not really feeling any of the characters at the moment.

That being said, I'm interested in knowing the reference to Tahiti and what Coulson can never know, and I loved seeing glimpses of Maria and Fury.

So I watched last week's episode and tonight's episode one after another and oh my goodness, they were fantastic!

    And tonight's episode, I was tearing up, no lie. My shipper heart hurt, in regards to Fitz and Simmons ;-;

Also, I totally think I might start shipping Coulson and May. Not sorry.

Has no one noticed the fact that lately it's tied in so much with Thor? For example in the last episode 'repairs' the explosion and simmons noticed it was another world, the ghost guy Tobias said it was Hell...obviously all completely related to what happened in Thor 2. It's like hell...it's Helheim one of the nine realms, the realm of the dead.
Or maybe it's because I;ve been watching Sherlock too much haha

So I've been watching it each week and I've really started to like it a lot. I just wish they'd do more introspective episodes, so that you get to start to learn more about the characters more; there was a bit of that with Ward and his brother, and hearing about FitzSimmons in the academy, but I still feel like we could go a lot more in depth. Especially about Melinda.

I do really enjoy the Mayward ship though. It's not common to see an older woman with a younger man, but I think it really works in this instance. I wonder how long they're going to keep quiet about it, and if they'll develop more of a relationship.

I totally agree. Skye bugs the living crap out of me, but in my opinion, FitzSimmons are the redeeming characters just because they complete each other absolutely and I think that's adorable. I also love Ward and May! Coulson is just Cool so I've gotta watch for him hahah. I'm a few episodes behind at the moment but I'm definitely planning on catching up!

Absolutely love this show! The creators always come up with little twists that you don't see coming, and it keeps you interested until the very end.

I don't know how I feel about Melinda and Ward though... it does make sense that the two bad asses should get together... but I think Ward is just a softie on the inside.

Coulson... I'm so glad he's back. I'm curious about his past though and what really happened.

I am hoping so bad that he's not actually a part of Hydra, but then again, he killed Hand, so unless this is a fake ruse then I am going to be so disappointed in him Sad
The next episode is going to be so good, though. They have a lot of explaining to do File

(I was still tender when I posted that because I had just finished catching up too XD)

Gah me too, I really don't think I'd be able to cope if this wasn't some double bluff. Especially after everything that happened with Skye beforehand. Ugh. Twitch

I know! Right from the beginning of the show I thought those two would end up together, and then they finally kissed! And now Ward's gone and ruined it all File
