I'm not sure if either of you have seen The Winter Soldier yet but the last two(? Maybe just the one so far, I'm in college so I watch them a few days later) have tied in with the ending of it and make total sense once you see it. Whistle Marvel is doing a wonderful job keeping their universe tied together.

No, I haven't seen it (or the first movie, for that matter). I'm following it fine though, so it's good that they haven't made it confusing if you haven't seen the movie. I figured it would have been a minor tie-in like they did with Thor 2 - I don't know why they didn't do more with that Think

I've seen TWS, and it made a lot of sense to me, I just didn't expect Ward to be at the centre of it, y'know?

I have a feeling it's because Cap is a better known figure, they may have even expected more people to go out and see it than what already did. Or at least in comparison to Thor. -shrug- There's no telling what their motives are/were, but they did a very good job; especially for those who haven't seen the movie yet. It's a great movie though, I suggest it if you're into the Marvel universe as a general. tehe

    @ rust cohle
I think that they picked the right guy. I'm not terribly sure if he had anything to do with HYDRA or not in the comics, I'd have to ask my boyfriend about that (he's the one who wrapped me into this, the little nerd), but the plot around him in the show was just right for something big like this. I'm really curious to see where they take it next, as a general.

Yeah, I know what you mean - out of all of them, it was most likely going to be him. I guess I just got lulled into a false sense of security by his really defined cheekbones. Coffee

I honestly thought that the Thor franchise was much larger (mainly because of Loki XD), though Iron Man is the biggest for sure. I personally don't see the appeal of Captain America, and I wonder if that's because I'm not American XD Do you have to see the first movie to understand the second one? Or are the other Marvel movies + Agents of SHIELD sufficient?

This is so true XD A part of me is still hoping that it's not real, that he's working undercover for Coulson/Fury. I mean, otherwise they'd have to get a new guy, and then Ward can't be with Skye Sad

But what else to make a good villain?? Weird

    @ snow.angel
I didn't expect the Thor franchise to get that big, but I certainly believe that Hiddles has such an influence on it's size that it's incredulous. XD His portrait of Loki is absolutely precious, he really knew what he was doing. Though, the rest did grandiose as well: it was merely Hiddleston's breakthrough role. You could totally see the second one without the first and know what's going on. And, actually, so far I believe that even in America the Thor franchise is still larger than Cap's. Id venture to say it's only second to Iron Man. Think

I doubt he's an undercover agent, I really do. Sad Though I do see a way that he possible could be, depending on how they're going to work the post-credit scene of TWS.

Just watched the new episode, and yeah, starting to believe this even though it really sucks and I want to punch him for his betrayal

Oh my gosh, that finale OMGYES That was just the best. The action, the comedy, the tied up ends... Brilliant! Can't wait for the next season!

I am so glad that SHIELD ended up on top, and seeing Ward get his ass kicked and Garrett's end was great. It was also awesome to see Fury again - he's so badass. And I'm sure that Triplet will fit into the team well, but if Fitz comes back then I sense (hilarious) drama again tehe

The feels with Fitz and Simmons.... I was almost crying for those two.

Super keen on finding out more about Skye! And of course there are a few others, like Raina, that I'm interested in seeing what they do, so hopefully season 2 is even better! Crazy

I am genuinely concerned about that Sad I really want him to be 100% okay, but that would be too easy and I feel like they probably wouldn't do that Think

Now I'm all sad and such 'cause I'd totally forgotten about how long he went without oxygen.

So glad the show was renewed though so we can get answers. If it'd been cancelled, I would have been pissed off.

I know, it's the worst when shows get cancelled and you never know what was going to happen Sad Even worse when it happens unexpectedly halfway through a season so they don't have time to wrap it up properly Grr

    @ Write of Spring.
Maybe they'll have to make him a superhero so he can survive Coffee Or Simmons will save him and they'll live happily ever after tehe

I genuinely ranted to one of my friends about how if they didn't renew the show, I was going to lose my mind. When I found out it'd been renewed, I got so excited that I flailed. Crazy That's always horrible when it happens. Sometimes the show just doesn't even really bother to try since they'd already filmed those episodes, so it's like, 'I guess we're stuck with the most random cliffhanger ever, guys!' It's not fair! Grr

In season 2, Fitzsimmons better start becoming romantic, 'cause that ship is killing me.

Also, I have something that I'm trying to make a thing and I want everyone to know it. I constantly call Phil Coulson 'Papa Coulson', and I'd been calling all the team by their last name until I realized that Skye doesn't have a last name.

Coffee So now I call her Skye Coulson, because she's practically Phil's daughter.

Yeah, it was a good day when I saw that post on Facebook tehe
I know, it's just cruel of the people who make those decisions File

They'd better! They're totally cute together! But at the same time, I feel like Triplet's gonna get in the way Think So much drama to watch!

XD That kinda works - Phil is like a father figure in a way.
And that's another thing - I can't wait to find out more about Skye!

tehe Same here and I think we should hit the people that make the cruel decision to axe a show midseason. File

It's true. Triplet might use that beautiful face and body to get in the way, but i kinda am hoping for Skye/Triplet to get together. I'm conflicted about it though since Grant turned out to be totally not worthy of our beautiful Skye. Grr

It totally works, and yes! I'm so excited to learn more about her! lmfao Even the actress wants to know since they didn't tell her yet either.

Excellent. We'll ship Triplet/Skye and be happy about it. tehe

The show hasn't let us down this far with surprises! Except when they make me collapse into a puddle of tears by getting Skye shot.
