Sammie looked at her sister for comfort as they stood on the steps to their school. She hated this place, too much went on here. Biting her lip, she thought for a moment about trying to speak but found she didn't want to. Beginning to walk up the steps, she looked over her shoulder at her sister and nodded her head. Sammie knew that she needed Anya and possibly that Anya needed her. Biting her lip gently, she adjusted her bag and books. Welcome to junior year, she thought bitterly.

Aaron walked into the school and grinned as he saw his friends. Making his way over, he greeted them loudly with a laugh. Talking to them, he caught up with them as he kept his eye out for his best friend since elementary school. Over the summer, they had made a drunken bet that they could get the icy twins to agree to go on a date with them. Aaron wondered if they were both still up for the beat as he watched them move through the crowd of the school.

Anya took a deep breath, glancing at her sister and offered a small smile. The only one she was nice to anymore. They had had a rough time after losing someone very dear to them both. She took her hand gently, squeezing it, before letting it go. She pushed her long black hair out of her face, before walking into the school. Her attitude immediately changed from a sweet look to her look she liked to call Leave Me Alone. She walked to her locker and got her books out before walking to her class with Sammie.

Jake yawned having gotten up late. He pulled on a pair of pants and a shirt, before getting his shoes on. He got his grey beanie on. His blue eyes shone lightly. He grabbed his bag and made it to school quickly. He got in, and saw his best friend with his back turned. He smirked, before going over, very quickly, and thumping it into his head and smirked. "Hey Douche bag," He said, using his nickname. "what's up?" He asked.

Sammie got her books out of he locker and followed after her sister. Looking up as they entered the class, she sighed softly when she saw a new teacher. Another person who was going to try and separate them and make her talk. Looking at her sister, she signed her frustration at the new teacher already as they sat down at two empty desks.

Aaron glanced over his shoulder as he felt something hit him. "Jack ass." He said in greeting. "Nice of you to show up." He said as he grabbed his back pack. "Come on we will be late to class." He said as he made his way into the room. Looking around, he saw a hot looking new teacher and he smirked over at jake before looking at seats. He saw two by the icy twins and began to head over.

Anya walked with her into the classroom. She glanced at the teacher, then at her sister and sat down beside her and felt it was cold. She gave Sammie her jacket so she'd keep warm. She glanced out the window before looking up as two guys sat beside them in desks. She sighed softly, shaking her head. She looked up as the teacher said they had to say their names. When it came to her turn, Anya said, "Anya and Sammie Woods." She pointed to herself first then her sister. The teacher then said Sammie could speak for herself and said, "No. She doesn't speak. End of discussion."

Jake laughed softly, and said, "I woke up later, I'm sorry." He said. He chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah yeah." he said walking with him. Once there, he followed Aaron to the seats and sat down glancing back at the twins. He chuckled. He was in front of Sammie. He then looked up when the teacher said they had to introduce themselves. He heard Anya then the teacher, and then winced when Anya told her no. He waved a hand and said, "Jake." He didn't say anything else but that.

Sammie smiled grateful for her sister's strength. Slipping on her sister's jacket, she snuggled further into it as if to try and ward off the world. She listened to the boy's names that had sat by them and looked at them curiously. She knew them from being in school with them but they weren't friends of hers. No one was her friend besides Anya and she preferred it that way. As the lesson began, she wrote the notes down and made sure she understand as it was very difficult for her to ask anyone to help.

Aaron called out his name when the time came and he mad a face at Jake as he sat next to him. "This is ridiculous. I can't believe she is assigning us seats. We aren't in first grade anymore." He said bitterly as the teacher began to go over to syllabus with them. He rolled his eyes at the tone she was using but otherwise stayed silent. Glancing over at Jake, he nodded back toward the twins before writing in a piece if paper. Fifty bucks, you on?

Anya saw Sammie's smile, lightening up a bit and smiled back gently. She watched as she snuggled into it, and chuckled softly. She then glanced out the window, not really paying attention to the teacher at all. They had learned all this last year. Review was not necessary, at least for her it wasn't. She didn't have friends. Everyone else thought she was a ticking time bomb. She came off that way, but little did they know she just didn't want to lose someone again. She propped her chin up with her hand. She wore a little silver ring on her thumb as always.

Jake made a face back at him. He heard him and chuckled, before saying, "Maybe if our grade didn't act like first graders, we wouldn't be in this mess.' He replied to him. He then ran a hand through his hair, and yawned softly. He popped his back. He noticed Aaron roll his eyes and bit back a laugh. A amused smile was on his face. He glanced back and saw the piece of paper, nodding. Hell Yeah. He wrote back.

Sammie bit her lip gently as the class went on and she glanced up when she heard her name. The teacher was looking at her expectantly as she held out a piece of chalk. Sammie trembled slightly as she pushed herself up from the desk and began to walk to the front of the classroom. Taking the piece of chalk, her hands shook as she tried to write the answer on the board. She felt her cheek redden as tears filled her eyes. She knew the answer but she was painfully shy and this was not a situation she was comfortable in.

Aaron nodded to his friend and smirked. Looking up, he watched as the quiet twin, Sammie, he thought her name was walk up to the front. She looked like she was about to faint or burst into tears. Glancing around, he sighed softly as he ran his fingers through his hair. It never changed, he thought. People knew not to interfere anymore when it came to Sammie and teachers because every teacher was on a vendetta to "fix" her. He glanced Anya and wondered if she was okay.

Anya sighed when she heard her twin's name being called. She glanced over. She watched Sammie and frowned. She stood up, and ignored the teacher talking to her as she went up beside Sammie and took her hand gently, and made her write the answer gently. "Good Job, Sammie." She told her. The teacher got up in Anya's face at this point. Anya narrowed her eyes and said, "Back. Off." She then took a step forwards making the teacher step back. "Detention, Anya." "Whatever.' She replied, as she let Sammie lead the way back to their seats. She glared at the teachers.

Jake chuckled softly. He blinked when Sammie was called up to the board. He winced seeing as she looked ready to just faint and cry. He noticed Anya go up there and help her to write the answer. He tensed seeing the teacher get up in Anya's face. Shit. Anya was known to have started throwing fists. She had gotten mean since whatever happened to them both. He heard the teacher say she had detention and knew that was probably the worst idea to ever come in that teachers mind. He glanced at Aaron.

Sammie sat down and touched Anya's arm gently, hoping her sister understood hat she was thanking her. When she heard that Anya got a detention she immediately knew that she would be going as well. They were always together and punishment was the same. Besides, it had been Sammie's fault. Biting her lip, she looked at her desk and tried to pay attention for the rest if the class until she heard Aaron speak.

Aaron had had enough of watching the sisters suffer and get punished for it. "That was a jerk move." He called out to the teacher. "You knew Sammie was shy and she doesn't like to talk so you call her up in front of the class. I thought you were supposed to teach us but force one student to cry. I mean come on, what did you think was going to happen? Did you really think no one else had tried to before?" Ms. What's her face yelled at him for being rude and gave him detention. "I was just saying what everyone else was thinking." He said as he gathered his stuff when she sent him to the principal's office.

Anya nodded at Sammie and gave her a gentle smile. She was always looking out for her and always would. She loved her. She heard Aaron and was surprised. She was even more Surprised when Jake called her out as well. Idiots. What were they thinking? She was used to this but they didn't need to be getting themselves in trouble too. She rolled her eyes looking out the window. She crossed her arms.

Jake rolled his eyes at Aaron and said, "Apparently she doesn't care and just wants to make it worse for the students. Asshole move much? You didn't hve to do that. And oh one thing it's not wise to get in someone's face. You might get hit." That got him detention and to the office as well. He went with Aaron and said, "You just HAD to open your mouth didn't you?" He said. He sighed and said, "Come on. I know we usually get sent to the office but on the first day, really!?"

Sammie watched the guys with wide eyes before looking at Anya questioningly. Why would they defend her, she thought as she looked away with her cheeks still red. For the rest of class, she counted down the seconds. When the bell rang, she shot out of her seat and was about to leave when the teacher called her back. Sammie frowned as she turned to look at the teacher before glancing at Anya.

Aaron looked at Jake and shrugged. "I was trying to set a new record and someone had to say something. You saw her up there that was cruel. Plus I was hoping to get some brownie points with Anya for defending her sister.@ he said as he held the door open for Jake and they made their way into the office. "Hey Mr Baker!" Called out Aaron cheerily to the principal.

Anya got out of her seat when the bell rang. She heard the teacher call Sammie back. Sorry but no. She stood there with Sammie. The teacher glared and said, "Leave Anya." "No." She replied. "Where my sister goes I go." She stood beside Sammie her own eyes green like Sammie's. She then sighed softly and crossed her arms and waited for the teacher to start.

Jake sighed and said, "Man on the first day bro this is messed up." He sighed and said, "Yeah but I think it backfired on you. She looked pissed." He laughed and said. "Ha." He then said, "Wanna prank that teacher later?" He smirked. He walked in and said, "Hey buddy how you been?" The principal looked up and said, "Why? Couldn't you have waited a week!?"

Sammie watched as the teacher have her a speech that she had heard so many times from many people. About how she should push herself and work harder and that she could over come this. She thought softly as she bit her lip. Nodding to what the teacher said when she finished, Sammie turned and walked out. Glancing at Anya, she frowned and went to her locker and opened it slowly.

Aaron looked at Mr. Baker and smiled softly. "Sorry sir but the new teacher was being a jerk to Sammie and I had had enough if watching her further so I said something." He said simply as he leaned back in the chair nonchalantly. "And we are setting a new record. Sent to the principal on the first day during 1st period."

Anya had had enough. She let Sammie leave before slamming her hand on the teachers desk. "Look, we've gone through shit and it's affected us differently. Her she doesn't talk and she's way too shy for you to be making her go to the board. Just shut up and listen ok?" She said her eyes narrowing. "Give her some damn slack. She gets this from EVERYONE else. She doesn't need it in the first of the morning either. So either back off or I'll make you." She said. She then left the teacher in shock. She got to Sammie and hugged her gently.

Jake nodded and said, "And when one says something obviously the other has to step in and make it worse." He grinned softly. He chuckled and said, "Of course we'd be the ones to break that record. You know you love us." He said. "Go to class." The principal said sighing. "Get out and go to class freaking idgits." He said. Jake got up leaving with Aaron grinning.

Sammie buried her face against her sister's shoulder. After a moment, she stepped away before pulling out her books for second period. What did you say? Sammie signed as she looked at Anya for a moment before heading to class. This is crazy, she thought, on the first day. Walking into her second period, she smiled softly when she recognized the teacher. Walking to a desk in the back, she sat down and looked up at Anya.

Aaron grinned as he grabbed his bag. "See ya later Mr. Baker" he said with a salute before heading out. Looking at Jake, he grinned. "What did you have in mind for a prank?" he asked. "Please say something good. And we should probably get to second period." he said as he headed to his locker and switched out his books quickly before continuing to walk in the hallways.

Anya held her close until she pulled away and read the note. "That she needed to leave you alone because you didn't need her bullshit and if she didn't i would make her. I'm crazy enough that I will make her." Anya said. She walked to the back as well and sat down in her seat and glanced out the window. She coughed lightly and sighed. She popped her neck gently. She wanted a shower.

Jake laughed. He said, "Well, slime time?" He asked smirking. "We haven't done slime in awhile and I'm thinking get it in her shoes bag and hair and everywhere." He said. "Probably." He said switching his books out and went to second period. He sat beside Sammie and noticed Anya looked pissed and spaced out and smirked at Aaron.

Sammie looked at Anya and sighed softly before looking toward the front. She watched as the two boys walked in and Jake sat in front of her. Pulling Anya's jacket closer to her, she tried to relax and forget about what had happened. Watching as the teacher walked in and began talking, she was soon lost in the lecture. She bit her lip gently as she thought.

Aaron looked at Jake and grinned. "Perfect" he said as he sat down in front of Anya. Glancing back at Anya, he opened his mouth to say something before seeing her look and turning back to the front. Looking back at Jake, he glared at him. "I don't see you doing anything," he hissed at him as he leaned back against his seat.

Anya didn't like the first period teacher in the least. She noticed Jake sit in front of Sammie and Aaron sit in front of her. She sighed and slammed her head on the desk probably making a bruise on her head. She had a headache. She would need to take something for it soon. She closed her eyes listening to the lecture. She got bored easily with this.

Jake chuckled softly. He heard Aaron and shrugged smirking. He then wrote on a piece of paper, "Hey, you ok?" He then folded it up before passing it back to Sammie gently. He heard a loud thump and slowly looked back and saw Anya and winced and muttered, "That had to of hurt." He winced again and muttered, "Jesus Christ..."

Sammie was taking the note when she heard Anya slam her had down. Jumping up, Sammie knelt next to her and cupped her cheeks as she searched her sister's eyes for what was wrong. She touched Anya's forehead gently. The fact that her sister had done that scared her and she bit her lip. She had forgotten about the note that had been given to her.

Aaron jumped at the noise and he whipped around to see what had happened. Frowning he say the sisters and Anya's forehead. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out some advil out of his bag and he passed it to Anya. "This will help." he said gently as he turned back to the front. Glancing over at Jake, he smirked slightly.
