    (I try XD I like humor~ I wish I were funnier!)

Rennyn chuckled as her hand came in contact with his. He could feel something off about it, though what he couldn't say. It seemed she was regretting her choice though, at least in hands, because she was staring at it like it had a mind of its own and made the decision without her consent. But what did he know? Maybe angel hands did have minds of their own. It would be weird, and he'd make fun of her for it if that was the case, but that wasn't the matter at hand, he thought. And then chuckled again. At hand... so punny.

He shook his head and grinned widely, tightening his grip on her hand rather viciously. A sharp pain seared through his palm, likely mirrored in the angel's, but he didn't flinch. Demons did this deal with each other as well, and the side effects out of these little human costumes was far greater than a simple scratch. Or gash. Whatever.

"State your deal and stipulations. The seal will occur after I've agreed." He would agree, anyways. It was too exciting to pass up.

(I am so sorry!!! So busy yesterday I never got a chance to post!!)

As the pain seared in her hand, not only from the cut, but also from his squeezing her hand when it was hurt, Leilah clenched her jaw. It was so as not to show the true pain she was feeling, which honestly wasn't that much bit burned anyhow. It made her angrier than anything that she hadn't just pulled the hand away and given him the other one instead of allowing this. It was done now though and so she forced herself, reluctantly, to relax.

She also repeated the stipulations she had given him in the past as well as the deal, since it seemed she had to even though they both understood what the deal was. She felt something, weird and almost tingling, after the deal was made and they both dropped their clasped hands. It seemed neither of them wanted further contact. Leilah, being strange as she was, didn't try to wipe the blood away or even leave it there, but pressed he Han to her mouth. The metallic taste soon came, and she left her hand there until it faded a bit and then wiped her hand on the tank top she was wearing.

Two things happened then. She had started to tell the demon to answer her question, getting probably only halfway through the sentence. She was anxious to get some answers and now he had an obligation to provide some. But then she heard a squeal and flinched at the high pitched sound. Abby, wrapped on a towel and all but dripping water, ran into the living room. "Did you do this?" Leilah had sat back, looking out out, but a moment later she saw the excitement on the girl's face, Abby staring up at the angel with what could only be described as utter glee. For some reason the fort seemed like a huge deal to the girl.

Leilah shrugged, still leaning back. "Nah. He was working on it by the time I got out of the shower." She didn't know whether it was her blasé appearance or something else, something different, but Abby's face fell. "Oh," the little girl murmured.

(No worries! I apologize for what you're about to read, I am half asleep. )

Rennyn could see the pain, feel it through their link and he was very pleasantry surprised by the joy the thought of even minor pain to the angel brought him. But it was short lived. He agreed to the terms and the link was broken as their hands fell apart. It was the only scenario in which he could find himself enjoying touching an angel, lest he was actually ripping her apart. But he was allowed to do that. Not on earth, anyhow. Oh well.

He watched her method of cleaning her hand--if it could be called that--and rolled his eyes. Such a lovely lady, he thought sarcastically. He allowed the blood on his hand to remain, simply clenching his fist to stop it from dripping onto the floor. The flow itself stopped relatively quickly, but as Abby came running into the room he didn't exactly have any time to clean himself off.

She seemed really excited about his fort, as he knew she would be, but had directed that excitement towards the angel. He assumed whatever innate sense of good and bad she had told her that the angel was someone she should rather be around, and Rennyn was someone she should be cautious of. However, Leilah's obvious disinterest in the little human threw a wrench in her views. This allowed Rennyn to step back in to play, sweet smile already in place as he bent down to Abby's level again. He let the distance between them remain, instead of approaching her, letting her make her own boundaries and encouraging her to trust him on her own terms.

"I'm sure your mom wants you to finish getting ready for bed," he started, seeing Della come into the room now, "but after that, you can play in there for a little bit if you want."

    (It's all good Mr. Green)

Abby didn't look very convinced. It was as if she knew there was something dark and scary about Rennyn and actually shied away from him as he crouched down. She wanted to play in the fort- she thought it looked awesome and fun, but that didn't mean she wanted to be there with him. "Okay, but I would rather Leilah be in there with me," she finally spoke up, and glanced back at the girl. Something about Leilah just seemed trustworthy to Abby, even if the girl herself seemed kind of moody and didn't seem to care a lot about her. Abby was still interested though...

Della's eyes widened a little as she came in the room, quickly realizing that Rennyn had made the fort. "Oh, that's such a great fort!" She complimented him with a wide smile. "You guys all just stay there; I'm going to get my camera!" She disappeared into another room a moment later, faint, muffled sounds echoing into the living room. She came back not long after, bearing her camera, and came to stand in the living room. "Sweetie, why don you go stand in front of the fort for the picture?" She crooned to her daughter.

Abby didn't look exactly thrilled at this prospect though. Leilah, noticing this, pursed her lips for a moment. Then she sighed, telling herself she wasn't getting soft -she was trying to get closer to winking out against the demon on this- and then she got out and crouched between Abby and Rennyn. "This good for you?" She asked gently. Abby appeared momentarily relieved, smiling widely and nodding and then coming and standing close to Leilah.

    I'm not getting soft.

Rennyn inched closer to the two, leaning especially close to Leilah. He wanted her to feel uncomfortable, and simultaneously hoped that it would make Abby feel satisfied as well since he was still keeping a decent distance from her. It seemed like Leilah was getting soft on the small human, and he wished to make fun of her for it but the timing was unfortunate. He'd have to do that later. "Such a good idea," he said instead, praising Della's decision, "Memories are fragile, but photos immortalize them." He said this as he looked aside very pointedly to Leilah.

He had figured out fairly clearly by now that she wasn't a human-lover, and not only because she'd admitted it herself. He hoped it would bother her rather greatly that, despite which one of them would succeed in their mission (Rennyn, obviously), she would forever be a human memory somewhere on earth. With this thought planted in her mind (hopefully, it had been his intention after all), he turned his head to face the camera lens pointed at them and smiled, sliding an arm around the angel's shoulders and pulling her close to him. At this point, he was becoming more used to her presence, and though it still disturbed him greatly to touch her, the result was worth it.

Plus, they were supposed to be siblings anyways. Della seemed very pleased. It felt like a real, highly awkward, family photo. He laughed, because the irony was fantastic.

(Oh my gosh, I love these two XD leilah's all serious and angry and Rennyn just wants to piss her off)

Leilah bit her tongue to keep from snapping at Rennyn, instead forcing a pleasant look on her face. His leaning towards her made her want to lean away, but then the human child was on the other side and she felt enclosed, threatened even. It was never a good idea to make her feel threatened because she tended to lash out. Not only that, though, bothered her. She knew the demon was attempting to bait her and it took every bit of she will power not to fall for it.

She would destroy the pictures secretly if she had to, and the memory of her would die with these two humans. If she was desperate enough, there was a way.

So she forced herself still as the demon wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer, forcing herself to appear happy as Della put up the camera and snapped several consecutive pictures. It was painful, honestly, and she insisted on so many. Leilah nearly just fled before the mother was finished when Della finally out her camera down. "Oh, you two are so cute," she cooed. "If I didn't already know better, I would think you were blood related." Her cheeks dimpled as she smiled at the two, and Leilah couldn't help but feel disgusted at what was supposed to be considered a compliment.

"Yeah..." She managed another, smaller smile, as she removed herself from Rennyn's grasp, leaving Abby with him on the floor -the action made almost as if making a point. She went back to sitting on the couch, curling almost into a ball of sorts. She basically just wrapped her arms around her legs, set her head in her knees, but didn't bother closing her eyes. She didn't trust to quite yet, and ended up simply watching everyone. Abby was once more frowning, but she hardened herself against it, eyes becoming colder.

(BAHAH, blood related XDD Oh, Della, you silly human.)

Rennyn nearly bursted with laughter as Della commented on their relationship. It was even funnier since this whole situation was Leilah's doing the first place. If she hadn't intervened with such an excuse, she'd never have become the sister of a demon. Not only that, but it was like Della was comparing them--though he knew she had absolutely no idea what she was saying. The very idea of a demon and an angel being like blood-related siblings was just comical. He could see that Leilah was having a hard time keeping in very contrasting emotions to Rennyn's mirth. It only made him want to laugh more. He decided to hide it behind a smile that he directed to the doting mother, thanking her with sincerity. It was hardly faked, either. It just wasn't very innocent sincerity.

He looked down at Abby, who was still looking uncomfortable. It looked like she was begging for Leilah to come back to her, but the angel was having nothing of it. He let his features slide easily into a soothing appearance. Abby looked hesitantly at him, her neck craned a little to see into his face. He couldn't tell if she was simply uneasy or if she was afraid, but either way she held her ground instead of backing away. Her eyes flickered occasionally to the fort, like she wanted to play in it but she didn't want Rennyn to be the one she played with, so she simply stood there quietly as Della went to put her camera back with the promise that she would upload them to her dated computer and later get them developed for the fake-siblings.

Abby looked after her mother, nearly running after her, but it seemed as though she were paralyzed. Rennyn took a few steps backwards, towards the pillowless armchair, and motioned at Abby. "Play in it if you want," he said gently, "I'll stay here."

(Heh. I think I'm almost going to be sad when we stop having Della and Abby in here xD OMG I just thought of something!! What if Halloween is soonish in this? I imagine Leilah as the type to get completely caught up in something like that ^_^ and we can dress them up as an angel and a demon XD)

Leilah watched the exchange between Rennyn and Abby in silence, secretly pleased the little girl was less than trusting with him. She probably shouldn't put so much faith in the angel... Yeah, the word angel should mean something; that she should help them and protect them, yada yada yada, but the fact was that she was only with this family because of a certain demon sitting on the floor nearby. And she was only on earth because of her superiors. So... She felt no responsibility at all.

At the demon's offer, Leilah noticed the girl's eyes shift nervously for a moment before she crawled into the fort. A small smile found the angel's lips then as she cast a look to Rennyn. "Well, it seems not everyone trusts you then," she murmured smartly, just quiet enough that she wasn't afraid if being overheard by anyone else. In truth, she was fairly pleased that Abby didn't trust him. "Now there's only one more to convince."

She realized this game they were playing was like a delicate procedure. All it would take was one of them screwing up once, and it would be over for that one. Leilah was careful to do nothing damaging, though she didn't bother hiding much of her true personality. Rennyn seemed to just have a complete act for these humans though, so as soon as they slipped up around Della, it would be over for him. All she had to do was poke and prod his buttons enough which, rest assured, she had already planned doing. Not only was it almost natural to want to do so, but he'd been pushin her buttons since they had been at the park and it was time for a little payback. Oh yes, she was excited.

(ohh, that sounds fun, haha! The irony~ It would be even funnier if they were opposites XD Like Rennyn the angel and Leilah the demon haha)

He felt an odd swell within in him as he watched Abby play in the fort. She seemed to enjoy it even though she was alone. In there, she was relaxed and completely unconcerned with the two strangers nearby, particularly Rennyn whom she distrusted. He wasn't sure what the feeling was, and he wasn't sure he liked it, but for now he too was relaxed. He did not feel threatened by the angel, especially with the humans nearby, and he wondered if she would even be allowed to do anything to him were they not. He looked back at her as she spoke quietly, though his advanced hearing picked it up clearly and easily.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you," he began in reply, expression unreadable, "but I actually have no plans on taking the small human." The words came out of his mouth so calmly and assuredly that he actually wondered why he knew that so confidently. Abby was still too small, he thought, and she had not grown into any of those inherently sinful human qualities yet. It would be pointless to try and take her now, as she was. But he did, for some strange reason, feel the need to gain her trust. Maybe it was because he was never content at leaving things half done. He wanted Della to trust him so completely that even if he said "Hey, let's go to hell now" she would willingly comply, and that meant even having Abby on his side.

And for reasons unknown to him, he wasn't sure if he liked the idea of the small human being in such a place. Her imperfect mother was one thing, but Abby had something that normal humans did not, and it intrigued him. He was sure that was all it really was. He had no human-like emotions, and he certainly felt no... attachment to them.

(That was my thought too! ^-^)

Not planning on taking Abby? A frown furrowed Leilah's features for a moment until she smoothed it over. She was confused, honestly. Why did he seem to be trying so hard with the little girl when he wasn't planning on doing anything with her? It just didn't make any sense to Leilah, and then she thought of something and cast the demon a look. "Yet you are planning on taking her mother away from her," she pointed out coolly. "She has no father, and you would leave her here, alone, and an orphan."

Meanwhile, Abby was having fun playing around the pillow and cover fort. It wasn't much, but a little girl could make fun from anything, or so it seemed. Della had gone to put the photos on her computer, which Leilah had seriously considered sabotaging at first but made herself stay seated where she was. There really wasn't any point in doing it, especially not now, so she just had to deal with it honestly... The one time she tried to help someone, and it had to backfire on her.

Honestly though, as she watched the demon, apparently having some inner battle, she couldn't help but wonder if her words would actually influence his decision on aiming his evil influence on Della. She didn't bother getting her hopes up -he would surely shoot them down- but it was a thought. Maybe he was softer than he appeared, with humans at least. The tension between him and her, supposed siblings, was palpable. Or it was to her at least, and she knew she would never care what happened to him, just as she knew he would never care what happened to her. They were enemies who, at the moment, were having a sort of inner struggle rather than physical. Instead of fighting, they were trying to put their opposite influences on the humans they were around.

(An early apology for any mistakes since I'm doing this on my phone)

Rennyn continued to watch quietly as Abby gradually got more and more comfortable playing in the fort. She began to get louder, pretending she was camping or something like that and Rennyn couldn't help but smile at the child's innocent imagination. It was something he thought humans should be enviable, the simultaneous simplicity and complexity of a child's mind, the purity and unimaginable wisdom they hid behind their wide, penetrating eyes. He, as a demon, did not value these qualities, but he did admit that it was something humans would be good to take note of. He, as a creature of hell, would have much less work to do if they did.

"So?" He questioned back at her. "She's young, adaptable. And honestly, I don't much care what happens to her on earth. Comparatively, it is much less than even the slightest minute in hell." He looked at the angel now. "It's not any worse than her getting in a car accident."

(Sorry, just now getting the chance to reply today. I've been on my phone. I've posted like that before but I don't like to)

Abby still appeared blissfully unaware to what was going on outside of the fort she was now playing freely in, not even noticing the angel and demon sitting just outside. She was yelling something about a bear or something or another, pretending others were with her, and it sounded much like nonsense to Leilah, who ignored the brunt of it. Instead, she had her attention on the demon sitting nearby, who was speaking rather coldly of the child. Apparently she had misjudged, at least a little, about the extent of how much he cared what happened to the child. She snorted a little, shaking her head. She wanted to have that cold, calculating demeanor as well when it came to the child, and say that she didn't care what happened to Abby either...

Leilah found it a lot harder to lie to herself than she did to others though. As much as she hated herself for it, she did care. At least to a degree. She thought humans were filthy and unworthy of her notice, but somehow it was different when she was here with a demon threatening to take a child away from its parent. That, she found, was wrong. Leilah's own parents were archangels, and she had been little, like Abby, when her mother had been killed -valiantly, she was told- on a mission. She had been raised by her father after that, and maybe that accounted for her personality. Maybe that was why this had struck her where she shouldn't have let it.

No emotion. You have to calculate the odds, and handle the situation carefully. Emotion will get you killed, she chanted in her mind as she hardened herself. Slowly, the shields were back in place, and somehow she looked different. "Fine," she said to Rennyn. "Then I only have to worry about you stealing away one of them. That makes this easier." Della came in at that point, still smiling, and announcing that tomorrow she would go by Wal Greens, or some place like that, and have the pictures printed off for them since they were, apparently, adorable.

"I'll go with you," Leilah offered with a sweet smile. This would be her chance to sabotage the pictures, a perfect chance really. They were on Della's computer, and the little thumb drive she would be taking with her tomorrow. While Della slept, Leilah would destroy the pictures on the computer, and then sabotage the thumb drive tomorrow before a single one could be printed. She wasn't going to leave any evidence or permanent memories here. When she left, Della and Abby may remember her in their minds, but she would die with them for all intents and purposes.

    (I don't either x3 I was waiting for a shuttle so I figured I might as well~ and I read your poem! I liked it! ^^)

Rennyn yawned as Leilah muttered her final words before Della's return. She was speaking about the pictures and how she wanted to get them developed. He smiled, knowing that right now the angel was calculating how she could get rid of those photos. This thought was confirmed when she offered to go with Della on her tedious venture to the.. Green Wall? He didn't care.

"That's a good idea," Rennyn approved, nodding his head to emphasize. "I can go talk to the apartment owner and get us all moved in." And he could scout around town. Unlike the angel, being a demon was far simpler. He didn't need to worry about leaving the humans alone, especially now that Della was so attached to him. She wouldn't leave if Leilah suggested it and she'd probably think her insane if the angel (very unlikely) told her that Rennyn was a demon. He knew the angels had rules too though, and telling a human of their existence was a no-no. There were some humans that would know, or that would be able to find out--the really spiritual kind--but he'd never known anyone that had met one of those, so he wasn't worried.

"And after that, I think I'll go around town~" he added, not explaining what he would do or why. He liked being mysterious... if this even classified as that. But he really did want to stretch his legs and smell the nice, polluted outside air. It was less toxic than air in hell, and far less extreme in temperature--depending where you went down there you could be beyond freezing one second and then melting the next. He would enjoy it while he had it, not planning to be here much longer than he needed to be. And if all went according to plan, which it would, then he wouldn't be coming back after he brought Della and the angel down.

He'd raised in ranks actually very quickly, he mused. He'd heard rumors that he was favored by Lucifer, but since he'd only met the legendary figure once, he couldn't be sure. He'd always felt the eyes watching him, but he assumed that to be normal. Like a God, Lucifer watched and calculated all of your moves. He would know if you did something unfavorable, and it could be your immediate downfall.

Rennyn would end that way. He'd be the demon that Lucifer trusted most one day, and Leilah was going to help him.

"Is there anything you'd like me to do while I'm out?" he asked, both Della and, to keep up his act, Leilah as well with that ever innocent smile on his face.

(oh thanks XD You actually surprised me with that. I just write poems sometimes lol)

Leilah had expected Della to tell her that she could go with her, and wasn't disappointed at the mother's positive response. It seemed somehow that, even though she was obviously under the demon's influence, the angel was growing on her. For that, Leilah was rather pleased. The better the woman liked her, the more she trusted her, the better Leilah figured she would be able to keep her from the demon's grasp. It seemed at least something was going right, and it gave her a little hope, though she quelled what else might have been rising. She didn't like to get her hopes up too much.

At Rennyn's question, Leilah opened her mouth, you could go jump off a cliff, and then she thought better of herself and closed it again, taking a moment before she offered the demon a small, semi-pleasant smile. "No, but we can make a list after we're settled in," she said, making sure to be careful about her words. He may be able to act relatively easily, but it wasn't the same with her, especially for the animosity she felt towards him. Somehow, she had so far managed it, and was getting better by the moment, and she was proud of herself for that at least.

A moment later, she made a show of yawning and blinking a couple of times, appearing to be tired. "Is it time to sleep already?" she murmured, glancing at a clock. It was only a bit after 9:30, but it was well past time for Abby to sleep, she knew, and she suspected the little girl should be in bed. Besides, it had been a long day anyway, and Leilah would like to be alone with her thoughts for a few minutes at least -a few minutes that wasn't gained by taking a shower. Besides, the sooner the humans were asleep, the sooner she could sabotage the poems.

She wasn't even sure how to sleep anyway. She'd never exactly done it before. Angels didn't really have a reason to sleep. She had taken rests, everyone does that at least, but even if she was in glamour, her body didn't need to sleep. She was still an angel, and even if she was feeling a little tired from a long day, she was nowhere near ready to even consider trying to sleep, pretending to sleep, or even admitting that she needed to with her glamour.

"Oh, well, its certainly time for Abby to sleep," Della said, surprised as she, too, took a look at the clock. Soon, she had her daughter bundled in her arms and they disappeared in a room behind Leilah somewhere as Abby was put to bed. Leilah leaned back against the couch, closing her eyes and deciding she would simply wait patiently at this time since she had instigated "bed time".

(I've been at my parents' house all weekend, sorry about that!)

As always, it was amusing to watch the angel try to appear civilized when it was so obvious that she was not. Why they sent such an insufficient candidate to earth without any training in handling humans was beyond him. While Rennyn had never interacted with any souls apart from those in hell, who had a lot more on their minds than trivial earthly problems, he'd been taught extensively how to act around them and how to fool them into believing him. He knew well how he was supposed to interact with human beings, and if he was not prepared for a situation he knew exactly how to recover. This angel... she didn't have that at all it seemed. And if she did, her personal feelings seemed to get in the way of it. So unprofessional.

As Della took Abby back in the room after Leilah's reminder of the time, Rennyn was able to occupy his makeshift bed once again. "She made it into a tent," he muttered a little bitterly, "I would have made it a castle." He wondered if he had said it out of pride of his work, or to cover the satisfaction he felt that the small child had enjoyed something that a demon created. It went against all moral standards, so it was rather amusing that this scenario could even occur. He knew that sometimes demons would take away young souls, the ones that were already tainted by darkness as was sometimes the case, but Abby was purer than most children. It was evident even in the way that she treated Leilah and Rennyn.

"Suppose it's time for bed, then," he changed gears, adding that false cheer back into his voice. "I'll be seeing you bright and early in the morning. I'll probably be back in the mid-afternoon after I do my... errands, if you were curious to know."

    (No problem!)

Leilah didn't deign a response as te demon decided to head to bed. Soon all the lights were out, yet she continued to wait in stillness even after that. Once she was sure both the humans were asleep at the very least, she silently got up. She considered not stepping over the demon but he would wake the humans if she did that, so she stepped around him and went to find Della's laptop.

In the kitchen, she found it, with the thumb drive sitting beside it. She clicked around, finding the pictures, and paused at first when she saw them. Rennyn and Abby both looked so happy and she looked downright uncomfortable and worriesome. It was the first time she had ever seen herself either, and it was weird looking at who she was physically. Hardening herself, she deleted the pictures and then put the thumb drive in. She deleted the pictures from it and put some of Abby in their place. When she was done, she took the thumb drive out and set it on the table, closing everything she had done on the computer, turned the monitor off, and then went back in the living room.

On her way to the couch, she made it a point to kick the demon. "Hey, wake up," she whispered, voice slightly harsh. "While we have some time alone, I think I want some answers." She sat on the couch and looked down at him. "So, why don't you answer my question like you promised and then I'll answer one of yours and we can be done with this."

Rennyn had snuggled comfortably and happily into his fort, feeling oddly warm and at home. It was a strange feeling, one he'd never experienced before. There were luxuries for demons in hell, but they weren't like this. Somehow, this simple feeling was leagues beyond anything he'd ever experienced. He didn't fall asleep, wasn't even sure he was tired yet, so he heard Leilah's venture off to delete the photos and withheld a chuckle at her antics. Honestly, it was helpful to Rennyn as well, but he didn't really care if there was evidence of his existence in the world. If he wasn't promoted, and possibly even if he was, he would likely end up on earth again. He didn't plan on having enough of an impact on society to have to worry about his identity.

Rennyn also heard as the angel made her trek back to the living area, though by now he was feeling completely settled and ready for sleep. Still he had yet to succumb, and as Leilah neared she kicked him. It didn't hurt, but it made his eye twitch in irritation. As she spoke, he rolled onto his back reluctantly but refused to sit up to participate in the conversation properly. If she wanted to talk she was going to have to deal.

"Ask away," he muttered in reply flippantly. He was actually a little curious about what she would ask, though he could venture a guess. She wanted to know as much as possible about him, hell, demons, whatever information she could dig up that could possibly benefit her--and get her back to that fluffy paradise the humans called heaven. He rolled his eyes. Given the choice, he didn't think he'd want to go there--he liked the dark, preferred it even, and didn't really like strict rules. It just wasn't the place for him. He didn't think the humans would see it the same way, though.

Leilah was pleased to discover that the demon was, in fact, awake after all. If he hadn't been... Oh well. If he hadn't been, he was now. He didn't seem particularly pleased at her methods of rousing him, yet she couldn't actually being herself to care about that and simply ignored the grumpy air he had as she attempted to remember what her question had been...

It didn't take her particularly long to figure it out, and soon she had it in her mind again. "I believe it had to do with the reason you haven't tried to even dissuade me from being here; why you went along with that story at the park even though you likely knew this would happen. Most demons wouldn't want an angel anywhere near whatever mission they were working on, so that's what I want to know," she said once she'd had it firmly in her mind. And because of the deal, he was obligated to answer, just like she would be obligated to answer his question after. She had put stipulations on what he could ask, but figured he wouldn't try to cross those, so she wasn't particularly worried.

And thus with her question hanging heavy in the air between them and soft snores echoing from just behind, Leilah awaited whatever answer the demon had, ready to pay attention very carefully and make note of everything he said. Because she had to face it... Whatever this demon was up to, she needed more help figuring it out and resolving it than she would actually care to admit.

Rennyn tilted his head, feeling a little disappointed. He was looking forward to something more original, something more difficult to answer. The way she'd stated her question made it easy for him to think of an answer that did not violate the rules, and he had hoped for something more challenging. She really was just another boring angel, something he was also disappointed to think. He'd thought that maybe her rebelliousness was something that set her apart from others, but instead he found it was likely just a front. She wanted to have that appearance, she didn't want others to think she cared, she was the tough no-nonsense angel not some fluffy white-winged saint that loved all humans equally--such a shame that this wasn't the case.

He rolled around again onto his stomach, propping his head up on his elbows and meeting Leilah's gaze lazily. "I thought it would be something more interesting than that," he spoke true to his thoughts, "Ah well. I overestimated you. My answer is this: Why would I? You are a nuisance, that much is certain, but I have no doubts about my own power and ability. You aren't a threat to me, as I see it. It would have been more troublesome to get rid of you than to allow you to do as you wish. In any case, you and I are equally bound by earthly bodies and rules that come along with them." It was truthful and his honest thoughts, and he considered the pact once again. It wasn't a detail she requested.. was it? She asked him the reason why he didn't try to dissuade her and not his plan with her. Originally he didn't want her anywhere near his mission, but even despite his plans to take her as well as the human he'd very quickly come to actually enjoy having her around to annoy and frustrate.

He didn't smirk like he might've if he'd discovered this kind of loophole on a harder question. Instead he switched from leaning on both elbows to only leaning on one, letting the other arm fall back down on the pillow. "And maybe I thought I'd show you other side of humanity. When you see it for yourself, demons won't seem so bad at all," he added, now he had touched all bases. This was the seed he would be sowing to get her into hell anyways, so technically he hadn't left it out.

"Now, will you question me more? Or is it my turn?" Frankly he wasn't that interested in his own question/s, but he would come up with something if only to satisfy their contract.

Leilah found his answer to be rather unsatisfactory, but that might have been because it wasn't quite the answers she was searching for. She was searching for something possibly a little less mundane -then again, for all that she was untrusting, she was an angel, and suspected no evil intentions including her. She didn't even consider the possibility actually, and in her mind ran over what he was saying.

With this, she ended up scoffing at the idea of demons not being so bad. "Humans are disgusting, foul creatures, in my opinion. I'm not sure how they can stand this realm they've created, but I hold no illusions that demons are better in any regard. You may act sweet for them, even the girl who you claim to have no plans for, but that doesn't fool me; just like my act doesn't fool you," she said, sounding slightly insulted that he thought she might buy what he was saying. Or that part of it at least. It hadn't been part of her question so there was a good possibility he had lied and she wouldn't put it past him honestly.

Leilah leaned back on the couch, laying back and staring at the ceiling. She didn't feel like just sitting there and talking to him, so she turned towards the ceiling and momentarily let her mind wander. With this, she came to realize why she was so grumpy... It wasn't so much being stuck here so much as being home sick, she suspected. Her glamour felt like a suffocating nose; it was restricted and she couldn't even feel he left wings. Were they even there? She just didn't know, and wish she could ask. She would sound crazy to any human though, asking about possibly misplaced wings, and asking the demon was out of the question.

So, with reluctance, she ended up turning her mind back onto the conversation at hand. She waved her hand, fatuously really, at the demon. "I may think of something later, but for all that uou might've expected, I'm not going to ask the sort of questions I said you couldn't ask me, so that rather limits the questions. I have no interest in anything personal either, so ask away," she said, sounding almost bored, and maybe as if she wasn't actually paying a lot of attention as her mind inevitably was drawn back into itself somehow.
