For a moment he wondered if she really would be stubborn and let him to the shopping. He wasn't sure which was more interesting to him though--shopping for the angel's clothes himself or her giving in and going with him. They were both such entertaining scenarios! He gleefully continued on his way, and just before he left the park the angel appeared just behind him, following him as he went. He could just feel the resentment rolling off her in waves, and that made him feel all the more accomplished. It was amazing how well he could get under her skin, considering by now she must be expecting it at every turn. He dreaded the day she would ever get used to his antics, and really hoped that that would never happen--because then Rennyn would have to find someone new to replace her, and he just didn't think it would be as fun to annoy a human.

He wished he could read minds. She was so quietly steaming behind him that he would kill to know what she was thinking about, it would make things so much more interesting. When she spoke, very lowly and almost inaudible to the human ear, he only grinned more.

"And you are an unusually dour angel~" he responded, heading in the direction he knew there were some decently priced shops, "I think yours is the stranger scenario." He shrugged his shoulders, because maybe he was a little unusual for a demon, but it wasn't an unthinkable trait. There were demons whose whole personas revolved around pleasure and entertainment, so why couldn't he have enjoyment in this menial torture of an angel? Even if he had to be around her all the time and be exposed to her purity, it was worth it to him, just to see the hatred and irritation behind her glamour's very human eyes.

As they walked around the shops, he glanced in through the windows. There were a lot of thrift stores that he passed on, not liking the dirty and grungy look they gave off. Rennyn decided nearly as soon as he took on this form that he wanted to be fashionable--afford-ably. Not because he was some sort of secret fashionista, but because humans really did judge based on appearance. He wanted to buy clothing that would still make the adult humans want to adore him, but humans closer to his age appearance feel either attracted or jealous--it was a thought that made him literally laugh aloud. It always made him laugh when he heard stories of dumb humans falling in love with demons. It was, in fact, a very common way for some of the more... good looking demons met their quota.

Rennyn could just picture himself walking back down to hell with a harem of women trailing after him, angel included. But then of course that picture turned into the more likely situation--a bunch of older women following him and making cooing noises. He sighed. Apparently he couldn't even think about unlikely scenarios. Oh well.

Glee was practically rolling off Rennyn in palpable waves that anyone would have a hard time mistakening. Leilah of course knew the reason for this and attempted to reel in her reactions and such so that he wouldn't know how his antics affected her. She had the sneaking suspicion that her misery fed his seemingly bottomless out of good humor, whether she wanted it or no.

So, with that done, as they walked side-by-side, she considered both the subject at hand and this situation she'd managed to get herself into. "Call me a realist," she muttered in response after a short scoff directed at him.

Leilah didn't believe she was dour. She wasn't all hopeful and sunshine as some angels were -those angels didn't see the things she did, didn't think the same, and she had a hard time occasionally thinking them one and the same. They were closer to humans, such as guardians, and rarely had an occasion to fret about a demon or wars or the inner workings of everything. They were purely earth-bound and anxious to help. Leilah was different.

She turned her thoughts from their trecharous path though, as she was led back into town and started to pass by stores. Soon enough the demon would probably pick one, and then they would both be looking around. This meant she would have to find things that suited her, and further expand her human guise. She had no interest in such activities in the least but recognized shopping as the necessary evil that it was. Well, let's get this done with.

[Halloween has passed for us, but I saw my opportunity XD]

Rennyn said nothing more as they walked, whether he heard Leilah or chose to ignore it was indiscernible and generally irrelevant. Whether he had responded or not wouldn't have made a difference, so he instead focused on the stores, their contents, and even the people inside them. Everything mattered to him, even the littlest of details. He wouldn't enter just anywhere. Much like the vampire of myth, he felt like if these places didn't invite him in, he just couldn't cross the threshold.

And for this reason, they were walking for quite a while before he finally stopped, quite abruptly. He hadn't even intended to do so, which made Leilah's near run-in with his back almost more humorous. Unfortunately, her reflexes were better than he'd hoped. Oh well. Because right now, he was feeling like he'd just found home, and he was sure his tiny little human canines were giving his elation away.

He turned his head to look at Leilah over his shoulder, looking her up and down, and then turning back to the store. No, it really was perfect. And look... look at that! He nearly skipped his way towards the darkly decorated store. The lighting was dim, but still perfectly visible even to puny human eyeballs. The storefront was decorated with interesting, seasonal posters and stickers with pumpkins, skeletons, and all sorts of things. Could it really be that time of year? He hadn't even noticed!

Inside, not only were there the normal, everyday of the year clothing and fashions (of the more.. dark variety, he supposed. Not really the kind he was interested in buying for himself) but on the walls there were also "Halloween costumes! Angel," he said excitedly, "it's Halloween season!" Most demons knew of and enjoyed the idea of Halloween. Some even took it as their opportunity to walk around in their normal forms. It was the only time that they could get away with it in any success--and it usually was a success. Such a realistic costume!~ the humans would always say. Such ignorant creatures.

He hurried himself inside, not really caring if she followed him in. He wanted to look at the costumes, he wanted to see if they had any demon ones. Those were his favorite. Sometimes they were spot on, and other times they were so ridiculously off that it made tears of laughter spring to his eyes.

Halloween~ Oh, Rennyn was in heaven.

"Look, angel!" he called out to Leilah, still not paying attention to her location since he could still feel her. If she were near enough for him to feel her presence this strongly, she'd hear him regardless of whether she was inside or not, "they have angel costumes!" he continued with a laugh.

    (Oh yes xD)

Of the odd human things Leilah had seen so far, this store was definitely one of the more... strange. This one was completely covered over in posters on the outside. They were dark posters, with haunted houses, black cats, jackolanterns, ghosts, and many other things. The door hung wide open on its hinges, a couple of pumpkins sitting outside, and a dark beat pulsated from within.

Out of morbid curiosity, Leilah followed the demon into the store. It was dimly lit with candles flicking in shadowed corners, and spider webs hanging from the ceiling. The scent of smoke permeated the air, though it didn't smell so foul as cigarette smoke. Towards the back were what looked to be regular clothes, some of which were rather interesting she thought, but as she was taking that in, she heard Rennyn's voice calling her from the front, and he sounded excited.

"You know, you could call me Leilah," she sighed, turning and going to see what he was looking at. There were costumes everywhere, several different kinds, and oh, there was the angel costume he was looking at. Was that supposed to be an angel costume?

She laughed. "Halo's?" She shook her head. "And even if they were real, those wings couldn't pick up a baby," she scoffed at the costume he was standing in front of. That wasn't even to mention the clothes that went with it... Humans must have no sense of modesty, she decided then, or thought angels didn't at least. She leaned against the wall. "Aren't you a bit old for trick-or-treating?" she raised her eyebrows at him. "It's supposed to be for little kids, or it was last I checked."

Rennyn shrugged his shoulders as Leilah spoke, about her name and the costumes both. He preferred calling her angel. She didn't use his name either, and he could easily get away with calling her angel since it was also a human name. It felt like a private joke for him... well it kind of was. But even so, he just didn't feel like calling her by name. That seemed too personal and he didn't want to be personal with her, all jokes and intentional irritations aside.

It seemed like the majority of the angel costumes were for women. He wondered if that said something about the human perspective on angels--but then of course he noted all the really skimpy ones that certainly spoke the opposite of angelic. It wasn't until he found wings that were separated from the costume that he got an idea.

"Here I would make a comment about you not knowing much about human customs, but I think that's already obvious," he commented in reply to her. "No one's too old to dress up for Halloween. I think it's probably even more popular for people who are... well, who are the age we appear to be." He turned back to the demon costumes now, already planning out what he would wear--because he was just dying to dress up--and looked through the ones for women. A lot of them were ridiculous, boring, or overly sexy. But after a few more, he finally found something worthwhile.

"Look at this one," he said, holding it up. For some reason, it just seemed to suit the angel's style. It didn't show off much skin, it was a bit dark but not too devilish, and it came with decent enough horns. They weren't like all the shoddy little red points on a headband like the others, but they weren't really realistic either. But they were the best he'd seen so far, and for some reason he wanted to see the angel wear it. The irony would be hilarious.

"If you wear this, I'll be an angel," he said with a laugh, pushing it at Leilah.

The irony of what he was suggesting actually made Leilah snort, attracting a glance or two, and she shook her head a little at the demon. She was holding what was supposed to be a demon costume, which he had pushed at her, and she noticed him holding a pair of wings. "I suspect I should be insulted," she said, looking up at him.

Well, might as well go with it. She had to admit, if was a little funny even if they would be the only two to know the truth behind it.

A warning went off in her mind then, and she quickly severed that thought process. What was she thinking? Sharing a funny moment with a demon? Leilah was glad he couldn't read minds. "I think the irony would be wasted on others," she pointed out to him instead. He looked especially happy at the prospect of the reversal of their true roles, even if it was only for one night.

She ended up shrugging her shoulders though. "Do what you want; I personally had no intention of dressing up or going anywhere for Halloween, so feel free to be an angel for a night." She shook her head at the way that sounded. "Or the imitation of one," she conceded.

"Oh I see," he responded slowly, "you're afraid to anger your superiors. No worries, I understand." His words seemed innocent on the surface, but of course he was only trying to goad her. Whether or not there was any truth to his words, he didn't care. He took his wings and walked further into the store, looking for things that would go with it. Honestly, there wasn't much. It seemed the store wasn't big on white clothing. He did find a pair of white, ankle high shoes labeled 'Converse' though, and he picked those up as well. He liked the way the looked.

After that he found some white jeans--it looked like they'd been intentionally ripped and shredded in various spots, but it gave him an idea, and it renewed his interest in getting the angel to dress as a demon. Unfortunately, he couldn't find a white shirt or even a jacket that would fit an angel in the store, so he'd have to go elsewhere for those.

Maybe he could get a worker to help convince Leilah to dress up. Hearing a human reinforce his claim that adults do, in fact, dress up, might convince her--though he doubted it would. He turned around in the direction of the angel and pouted. There had to be a way.

Shaking her head, Leilah rolled her eyes. Yeah, that was the reason she didn't want to dress up in some ridiculous costume. Not. So she chose to ignore his comment, letting him go off and pick out the rest of his costume while she busied herself with simply looking around. For a place Leilah actually couldn't stand, it had a lot of colors. Heaven was all light, not many colors, and all of the ones around her were so vibrant that she couldn't help but want to look at all of them.

So she ended up just walking around the store slowly, taking everything in and occasionally picking something up to get a better look at it before putting it back down. Eventually she got bored and ended up leaning against a bare bit of wall as the demon continued looking about the store. She snorted as he turned and pouted at her, shaking her head visibly to let him know something like that wasn't going to work on her. She even crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at him.

Let him pout all he wanted.

    (Sorry; short :/)

(Mine was too though D: )

Rennyn huffed when she spotted his attentions, but regained and redoubled the sad expression when one of the human workers began to approach him. "Can I help you..?" the girl asked. She was probably somewhere in her late teens to early twenties, decked head to toe in black with spider-web stockings, shorts, combat boots, the whole deal. She had a piercing that extended from her nose to her ear, and as a demon he couldn't help but admire her look. Not really because he thought her pretty, but more so because he found some sort of weird irony in the whole thing--while many demons did their best to not look the part of a demon, humans were going around dressed as darkly and demonically as they could to appear more badass. Such interesting creatures.

He let his wide eyes land on her though, and even with her tough looking exterior he could tell she was already putty. By the looks of it, she'd already adopted him as her new brother. Goody. "My sister thinks dressing up is for children," he responded sadly, but not too pathetically to avoid being labeled too childish. "There's this party I really want to go to, but our parents aren't going to let me go alone, and you have to dress up." As the girl took on a sympathetic look, he had another idea, a backup plan of sorts if this one failed. He was on a role~

"That's stupid," the girl commented, letting her voice be heard over the store, though he doubted the angel would have had trouble hearing anyways, "Why would she think something ridiculous like that? What kind of person doesn't like Halloween parties?" Rennyn nodded emphatically and grinned inwardly. Even if the angel still resisted, the thought of other people, other human people intentionally trying to annoy her brought joy to his little demon heart.

(Heh, Rennyn is awful to Leilah xD)

Though he was quick to hide it, Leilah all but grinned as she noticed how Rennyn took her refusal of his pout. Oh, she had already seen well enough how such looks seemed to turn the humans around him into mush, but he obviously had no previous dealings with angels. Or angels like her, considering a guardian might fall for something like that... And she was starting to figure how he really didn't like not getting his way... It seemed to her that he planned most everything he did.

And then he had to go and bring some human into this. For the love of... Leilah rolled her eyes, listening to the conversation from her distance as she hadn't been pointed out yet. So, that was how he was going to try and get his way? The thought of simply leaving crossed her mind, but that wouldn't be as satisfying...

Instead, she construed a stubborn, upset look on her face as she strode over to where the demon and the human girl were. Time to give him a piece of his own medicine. "No!" She argued vehemently, jumping straight into the conversation. "I can't believe you're trying to bring someone else into this!" She crossed her arms as she scowled at him. "You know I didn't want to go to that party because I don't like anyone whose going, but you kept begging so you could go, and who else is going to look out for your sorry ass when you get drunk?" She rolled her eyes and cast the human girl a beseeching look. "I'm so sorry he bothered you." She rolled her eyes. "Brothers."

During this whole thing, Leilah inwardly smirked, doing a happy little dance. She was getting better at this whole human thing, could feel herself adapting quickly. So hah! Take that, demon!

(He'd be a poor demon if he was kind XD I like his silly meanness.)

"Playing the saint," he replied with a nasty look, figuring it was appropriate in this situation and that the human girl wouldn't blame him for it, "You don't even know who all is going to the party, how do you know you won't like any of them?" Here he crossed his arms and glared harder at her, to show her she hadn't won yet, Rennyn still had more up his sleeve. "But since you seem so against taking care of me then I will just go alone. How about that?" He turned up his nose like a stubborn child--an imitation he would never admit to being this good at--and turned his back on Leilah. He held up the items and motioned for the cashier.

Meanwhile, the girl was feeling rather overwhelmed. She'd somehow thrown herself into their rivalry without thinking, and now it felt like she had to do something. But what? The sister had a point... but the boy was so cute, and he was threatening to go to a party by himself now, which had been made to sound like a disaster waiting to happen by the sister. What was she supposed to do? She felt responsible somehow...

And that face, as he held his items up... it was somehow pleading with her "Please fix this for me" and she just...

"When is the party?" she relented. She didn't even know the boy's name but already she felt like she should take care of him. And if his sister didn't want to...

Rennyn smiled brilliantly, throwing the girl off guard again as he cheerfully began to tell her details--"This saturday!" that he'd literally come up with on the spot. Saturday was a good safe bet, after all. That's when parties happened. He could find and get himself invited to a party within that span of time. "My name is Rennyn, by the way," he introduced. She smiled back at him, relaxing her shoulders. Somehow she felt at ease, all of a sudden.

"I'm Kyla," she said, leading him over to the cash register, "can I give you my number?" She waved a pen in the air, alongside a notepad, and Rennyn hastily agreed. As she began to write it down, he threw a casual glance over his shoulder at the angel, his eyes darker and more intense than usual. Maybe he was being childish, but somehow he took challenges very seriously--and if he couldn't win fairly, then he was going to play dirty.

Trust me with this human if you dare, the look said. And he meant it.

    (^_^ awesome post)

It was Leilah's turn to huff as the demon took the situation she had turned around and then twisted it again. She had thought she'd done something right, and she probably had, but he was good. She shook her head slowly, disbelievingly, at what was happening right before her eyes.

Well, see how hard I try to save this one. You aren't getting someone in a single night. She rolled her eyes at his look, then pointedly turned on her heel and walked out the door. The only small amount of victory she could get out of this was the fact that he hadn't gotten what he wanted originally, even if he was getting something else. Well, small victories at a time; small battles in the grand scheme of things.

So while Rennyn was finishing up whatever else he was doing in the store, Leilah simply leaned against the wall, closing her eyes for a few moments. Was she getting more patience or becoming used to his antics? -though she hated that line of thought.

In her thinking, Leilah hadn't realized it but as she heard someone clearing their throat, she realized she'd been approached by someone. She'd seen her reflection and figured she gave off a dark look, not to mention she was standing in front of a Halloween store, but did she actually look approachable? She thought her glares kept people away.

"Hey, why do ya look so lonely?" The boy was tall, at least six feet, with hair that hung in his eyes so it would be amazing if someone could actually tell their eye color. His hair was black as pitch, skin pretty pale, and he had the same general look as Kyla from the store. He wore a pair of dark, loose jeans, chains hanging on one side, a pair of worn converse on his feet, and some band's t-shirt on that she didn't know. His eyebrow was pierced, as well as his lip in two places, and he had gauges in his ears.

Leilah's eyebrows shot up. "Don't know why you would think that," she replied carefully. "I'm just waiting for my brother to get done in there." With her head she motioned inside, figuring the demon was still talking to the girl. Despite the fact that she should be doing something though, she wasn't particularly alarmed and decided she wasn't going to immediately just plant herself in whatever situation arose with him. It would just cause her grief in the end.

"Well, you don't sound too happy..." The boy persisted and Leilah sighed.

She straightened herself and put a hand on his arm. "Look, I'm sure you're a nice boy," she trailed off for a moment and then smirked to herself. She let some of her angelic influence trickle through the barrier of her glamour. "You really aren't interested in me though. I'm not your type," she continued, almost flippantly. "There's a girl in that store though who you look like you would be perfect for," she finally ended, voice suggestive. Then, with her piece said, she removed her hand.

After working out details of when and where to meet, allowing himself plenty of time to scour the residential area he'd suggested to her for a party that fit the bill, he threw his items on the counter to be paid for--with one addition. He gave the girl one last smile and turned to leave, two bags in tow. She watched after him as walked back through the store, but stopped halfway.

Through the window, somehow even through all the garbage and Halloween advertisements, he could see Leilah's figure... with another. He took a couple more steps forward, trying to get a better view. Forgetting his irritation momentarily, his curiosity got the better of him and he decided to eavesdrop. He didn't hear the boy's original words, having been busy with his own human at the time, but he did hear Leilah's passive response. He rolled his eyes, because how could he even hope that she would have done something interesting? He guessed there was no reason for her to though. She was an angel, after all, not a demon.

As she mentioned the girl in the store, Rennyn furrowed his brows. Did she think she could distract his new human so easily? No.

He stormed out of the store, his innocent act out the window and back down in hell where it belonged. As he approached the two, he sized the guy up and down. Surely, he was several inches taller than Rennyn, there was no doubt about that. And he was sure he looked a funny picture as he looked up at the boy's face, disinterest written all over it. "I bought you an ugly shirt," he said, throwing the bag at the angel. And he wasn't lying--he'd actually intended to make it more of a joke, but he figured this was good enough. He'd picked the dumbest looking thing near him and stacked it among his own purchases. The angel could wear it if she pleased.

After a moment longer of staring at the boy with an intimidating look that obviously did not fit his appearance, he smirked. "You probably would do well with the nice girl inside. If you decide to go out, make sure to buy a Halloween costume, we're going to a party." Two birds with one stone, right? There was a totally different method required to get the interest of a male human--and this would be a lovely chance for him to try out his theories.

Leilah had almost been done when the demon had to come out. She rolled her eyes at him, the way he was acting namely, as if he felt somehow threatened all of a sudden. A small smirk actually came to her for a moment as that thought crossed her mind, and she just shrugged as she caught the bag thrown her way. "Don't know why you bothered," she replied.

Then it was as if he was trying to pick a fight with the poor boy, Dylan was apparently his name. "Why don't you go and talk to Kyla, see if you can get the details about the party or something? You two might be able to go on a date." She barely held back a smirk as she said the last, on Rennyn's behalf if she were being honest, and then she sent Dylan inside. She wasn't about to mention to the demon that she had been using her angelic influence on the human, though she probably hadn't been supposed to, to put the suggestions in his mind.

Then, only after the boy was safely inside, she turned to her supposed brother with an easy grin playing at her lips. "Jealous now, are we?" She asked coyly with a raise of her eyebrows. "I'm disappointed; you're usually so calm and collected in your little act." Yeah, she was baiting him purposely, but given the chance, was she expected to pass it up? Hell no! He was finally getting what he deserved in her opinion.

[I was feeling rather uninspired this post, its frustrating, haha]

Rennyn tossed a look, crossing his arms and lifting an eyebrow lazily. By the sound of it, it seemed like Leilah was trying to play Rennyn's game. Unfortunately, this kind of game just wasn't the type for angels, especially not with a demon as her opponent. "Absolutely jealous," he responded, rolling his eyes. "It's cute that you think you can read me though~" He picked his previous playful attitude back up fairly quickly and turned on his heel, walking off towards more stores, not looking back at his pray even once as he did.

He knew that after he'd influenced her with his natural demonic charm, the girl wouldn't forget him even if godzilla stormed through town and murdered her family. At worst, Rennyn and Leilah would be at a stalemate, and the boy would be awkwardly following them everywhere. Which would be weird, but in the end it worked in his favor. It just meant he didn't need to work as hard to get the male's soul. He wondered if she'd done something to him--the dull, vacant look on his face kind of made Rennyn think she had. But it wasn't unheard of--if he had manipulative power as a demon, it was unlikely that she did as an angel as well. He dearly hoped she didn't try it on one of his own pray--the psychological damage it would cause would probably get the angel into trouble, and that would be no good for Rennyn's plan.

"I still have some shopping to do," he said, flipping a hand passively in the air, "for the rest of my costume, and then of course normal clothing. Can't walk around dressed in white all day, that would be weird. If you still want to wear things other than..." he turned his head to inspect her outfit one more time, "..that, I suggest coming with me." And with that he continued on his way, not bothering to wait and see if she really would follow or not.

(Gah. I know what you mean :| Maybe we just need a little push or something, to start things going? Otherwise, they'll be stuck like this forever XD)

By the time the little shopping trip was done, the sun was scarlet on the horizon, casting bright colors across the sky. Leilah found she didn't mind so much walking around and observing human culture, but she honestly didn't care for the shopping experience, nor spending hour upon hour with Rennyn. Still, the day managed to be productive somehow anyway, even if by the end of it, Leilah wanted to go crawl in a hole for solitary confinement for a few hours -at least.

Then they were back, and the demon led the way to an apartment, apparently the one they would be sharing indefinitely, and which thankfully had two beds. Various bags were set down and tossed haphazardly to the side. Leilah flopped onto the couch, body going limp as she covered her face with her arms. Maybe if she just laid there with her eyes closed, she could find some sort of peace in the middle of the personal hell this demon seemed strangely intent on making for her.

(Yeah, let's try and push it some more~ I got a little busy so sorry for the wait!)

Rennyn watched as the angel died on the couch. Or rather, she just kind of collapsed on it--he wasn't lucky enough for her to die on her own. He let a small smile form briefly on his face, though whether it was the usual one or not was to be seen. He felt pleased that he'd worked her into this state, but it was also somehow.. interesting. Living with an angel. He turned and headed towards the kitchen with the groceries he'd gotten while they were out and began putting them away quickly. He'd already decided he was going to get into cooking--because the human world had so many interesting foods he wanted to try.

As he'd finished putting everything in its place, he poked his head back out into the living room and looked at the angel again. She was still where he'd left her..

He wondered. How would she react if he asked? He shrugged, deciding it wouldn't hurt his ego any, and at best would confuse her. "Are you hungry? I'm making food." He actually wondered mostly if she would accept his cooking... that and he wanted to make more than just a little food. Practice made perfect, after all.

(Yeah, I know the feeling. Luckily, I'm on thanksgiving break this week, and then Christmas break soon!!! ^_^ what kind of push do you think we should use?)

Leilah ended up pressing her palms into her eyes as she lay splayed on the couch. She felt eyes on her, knowing it was the demon, but then his footsteps disappeared into the next room over and she was alone. It was one of the first times that day and she took a moment to reflect on her day. It had been pretty bad -horrible even- spending the entire day in a human town with a demon, shopping. She'd traded bantering with him, or really, insults most the time, but they were otherwise silent and the air had seemed somewhat sullen. Neither of them seemed to exactly enjoy each other's presence, which brought her to wonder why exactly he kept searching her out and attempted to get her to be around him for most the day. She'd all but completely disappeared earlier, and he'd gone out of his way to find her. She sighed -she really didn't understand any of this.

"Yeah actually; I am kind of hungry. I'll help with the food." Leilah had discovered even with what she really was, her glamour seemed extremely human. She had slept yesterday, she got tired and hungry... She was weaker, slower.. She'd noticed the same effects on the demon as well though, so that made it a little better.

With what she said, she removed her hands from covering her eyes, hopping up from the couch. She stretched her arms up then dropped them again and brushed by Rennyn into the kitchen. Being in close proximity had ceased to be so painful as it had been the other day. Just being near him had hurt to the point where she wanted to flinch away, but now being close to him only caused a minor amount of discomfort. It was enough that she could ignore even, which she was grateful for. If not for that, then being in his presence would be completely intolerable.

(Some sort of event.. Either something that can force them to work together, or something that will make it even harder for them)

Rennyn blinked confusedly. He wasn't sure if she was sincere and forgetful (of the fact that she didn't like to be around him) or that she just didn't trust his cooking. Neither options were unlikely (though the forgetfulness didn't necessarily have to go hand in hand with the sincerity) however he decided not to dwell on it any longer and turned back into the kitchen with her. "What did you want to eat, then? I tried to buy a variety of ingredients, though I was a little interested in making spaghetti. It looks really good," he said, enthusiasm not lost in his tone of voice. Regardless of her thoughts on the subject, he began taking out the necessary items for the food.

The only food he'd been able to have in the human world had been made by Della (and he loathed to admit it was fantastic, unlike anything he'd ever experienced), so he was actually very excited to make something on his own. And hopefully, not screw it up majorly. But he felt actually a little... relieved, that the angel would be helping him. Either they would fail together, or they would succeed between each other. Win-win, really.

(Yeah. Hmm.... I'll have to think on that one)

Leilah didn't really notice the demon's confusion. He'd pushed it away before she'd turned back to look at him, so she never noticed it. Even as he began speaking, she noticed him taking out specific things, so wondered why he bothered asking her opinion in the first place. She shook her head a little as she considered what he had out. "Well, this looks like it'll be pretty simple to make, over all..." she commented. She didn't really know where to start though, besides the fact that the meat was raw, a little bloody even. The noodles weren't soft and bendable either, which meant they, too, needed to be cooked.

Well, it was as good a start as anything... She didn't figure the demon would do anything to the food if she let him make it. Anything he did would backfire on himself as well. She knew she wouldn't care, therefore, if he cooked, and could sit out and not be around him. She was still trying to sort out what was going on though, what he was thinking, and about the only way she was going to get that accomplished was to actually spend time around him -however much she hated it. So, with that, she had decided to help with the food.

"So... do you wanna cook meat, and I'll handle noodles, or reverse that?" she eventually ended up asking. They would have to add other things later, but this seemed to be the main concern at the moment, so she figured they should concentrate on it first.
