[I've never bought anything overseas, but I did just splurge and spend $50 on books today on amazon, aha.]

Finley smiled slightly at his words, nodding her head. "That sounds lovely." She said. She was glad that he still wanted to hang out with her. She didn't want to head home just yet, and she was sure that Piper was still out roaming around the city with Josh. Plus, she really just wanted to get to know Oliver better. He seemed like a really great guy, and she really liked him a lot already.
Josh followed her out of the little pod and back onto the ground. "Not a problem, love." He said, sending a small smile her way. "Where would you like to go next? Anywhere else you've always wanted to go? Maybe to see Big Ben, or maybe on a double-decker bus?" He asked. Hell, he would even take her to Nando's if that was where she wanted to go. He just wanted to spend more time with her.

[ i buy online and overseas a lot. just gotta be careful with the shipping, because it can be a ton and i'd rather not pay that much, no thank you. ]

Oliver nodded his head, beaming a little because he was so elated that she wanted to hang out with him. "Alright then, let's go, yeah?" he asked, standing up and offering her a hand to help her up. He then led her outside of the little ice cream shop, holding the door open for her like a gentleman would, before heading down the street. "Ladies first, right? So you get to ask the first question," he said, then, cheekily. It was just really a way to get out of him starting it all.

"Oh, I don't know. You pick something amazing to show me," she said, eyes bright, still so amazed at just everything. She had long forgotten that maybe she should tell him that she was only sixteen, seventeen at the end of the summer. She probably should, but it wasn't crossing her mind, not even once now. "Just as long as you promise that it will be amazing." Piper was sure that anything he would show her would come out to being spectacular.

"I'm ready whenever you are." Finley said, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she looked over to him. The smile only seemed to widen as she watched him stand and he held out a hand to help her up. She guessed that chivalry wasn't completely dead. He really did seem to be a proper gentleman, and in all honesty, she liked that a lot. You didn't get many guys who were like that anymore. She took his hand, allowing him to help her up and lead her out of the ice cream shop and onto the street. "Sounds to me like you just don't want to start, but alright." She laughed quietly, thinking for a moment before she spoke again. "Favorite movie?" She knew that it was one of those really overdone and common questions, but you had to start somewhere, right?
Josh grinned. "Alright, but it's going to be a surprise, so I don't want to hear anything from you, got it?" He feigned a stern expression. He knew exactly where he was going to take her. He was glad that he was familiar with the city to know the ins and outs of it. He was sure that Finley had shown her a lot of the smaller, lesser known places, but this was a place that he had happened on himself when he first moved to the city when the band was first starting out a few years back. And he hadn't really ever shared it with anyone, so he hoped that she would like it.

"Jurassic Park," Oliver answered with a little laugh, seeing that she went with the cliche question. "You have to admit, it is the best movie ever. Seriously, there's dinosaurs in it and dinosaurs are the best." Oliver took a quick glance to her before looking back ahead to make sure that he didn't walk into anyone. "Favourite band?" That was probably one of the most important question he could think of asking someone. Even if they didn't agree on bands, it didn't mean that compromise couldn't be made, it would just be easier if they had similar taste.

Piper nodded her head before giving him a little salute, "Aye, aye, cap'n," she said before then motioning to zipping her lips. Though, she did go to unzip them to ask, "I don't even get a clue? Not even like, a little one?" with a cheeky little grin on her lips. She would ask him loads about where they were going, there was no way that she was going to be able to not. She was forever glad that Finley and she had gone for coffee that morning, glad to have met Josh.

[Sorry for the wait, darlin'! I've been busy with final projects and prepping for exams, and I almost got stranded in Penn Station last night after the NSN concert, so this week has been fairly eventful, aha.]

Finley let out a quiet laugh at his words. "Dinosaurs are pretty awesome." She said, a smile gracing her lips. "That's a really hard question to answer." She had so many bands and artists that she liked, and her taste in music was extremely diverse too. "If I had to choose one or two though I'd probably say A Day To Remember or Fall Out Boy. What about you?" She knew that she should have asked a different question, but she was curious. And curiosity tended to win out with her often.
Josh chuckled quietly, shaking his head in evident amusement. This girl just amazed him. He was beginning to wonder where she had been his entire life. He hadn't found a single thing about her that made him less attracted to her. She was absolutely gorgeous, with a personality to match. She was almost too good to be true. "Nope. No clues." He said, grinning over at her. "You're just going to have trust me on this."

[ it's quite alright! i've been busy too. and i saw them on thursday! got there super early and met the guy since he was just standing around talking to the few fans that were there. for a picture, and an autograph and he told me he liked my flower crown. tehe and i had a dream last night that i met the guys of atl. made my night. like we hung out and everything. it was a rad dream. ]

Oliver hummed, "I don't think I have a single favourite. There's a ton that I love, like Funeral for a Friend and Linkin Park. The ADTR and FOB boys are pretty cool, great guys with loads of talent," he nodded a little, not even catching himself as he kind of talked about two bands like he legitimately knew them, and yeah, he kind of did, but he didn't even realise he was. "If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you have with you?" That was always an interesting question, told more about someone than the band one did.
"Aren't I trusting you enough by believing that you aren't some sort of an axe murderer?" Piper let out an exaggerated sigh, jokingly. "Can you at least tell me if we're going to be walking forever or not? Cause if we are, I can't promise I won't ask like a billion questions even if you don't answer them." Part of her wanted to reach out and take his hand again, but another part had her convinced that he didn't like her like that, that Josh had to know that she was only almost seventeen. "I don't even get any sort of tiny itty-bitty hint?"

[Ah, that's awesome!! My friend and I didn't get there too early, but the line wasn't that long surprisingly, and we got there maybe ten or fifteen minutes before the guys showed up, and Christofer looked adorable with his little hat on and Swoon And then my friend and I were able to get like super close to the stage. We were standing to the side, and there wasn't like any security at all, and we realized that we were right by the backstage door, and Hayden got locked out at one point so he was talking to us for a bit XD and during Brian's set Taylor came out and was standing right next to me, and it was just amazing. tehe]

Finley nodded. "Linkin Park's pretty awesome." She said, before realizing what he had said after telling her some of his favorite bands. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion. "You know them?" The way he talked about the ADTR and FOB guys it sounded as though he knew them, or maybe that he had met them on a few occasions. But it seemed more as though that he actually knew them, and that honestly kind of confused her. It was really kind of surprising actually. "Three things I'd bring with me if I was stranded on an island...some matches, maybe a raft and probably someone so that I wouldn't be alone." She shrugged her shoulders. "If you had to choose only one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?"
"That isn't necessarily trust. It could just be poor judgement on your part." Josh said, sending a cheeky grin her way. He shook his head, chuckling slightly. "I'm not telling you anything at all. You can ask all the questions that you want, but I won't be answering any of them. Like I said, you're just going to have to be patient and trust me on this." He honestly found it to be rather amusing that she wanted hints and to know where he was taking her so badly. "Nope, I'm telling you nothing."

    [ ughhh. i just love concerts. ]

Oliver was a little surprised she had caught onto him talking like he knew the bands because he hadn't even caught onto that. "Hm? Oh yeah, I've met them a few times, they've done some promo stuff in my store, too," he said, hopefully blowing it off like it wasn't anything. Even if it was something. "I'd be that person, eh?" he laughed then, shaking his head a little bit, before answering her question, "Food, um, I think it would have to be spaghetti. I eat that all the time now as is, I don't think eating it for the rest of my life would really make a difference. Favourite place to be?"

Piper made a little face, before moving so she faced him as she was walking. "Pleaseee," she asked, dragging out the word much longer than it really needed to and batted her eyelashes playfully to him. "Just a little hint? Like, is it something like a tourist spot like the Eye is? Or something small?" There had to be something he could tell her, right? It didn't even have to be something major about the place that would completely give it away, just something small and she would be happy, well, happier.

    [same, bro. same.]

"Your store must be more well-known than you let on then." Finley commented. The store had been really awesome, and it honestly didn't surprise her that it was known enough to have two fairly popular bands do promo stuff in it, but still. FOB and ADTR. She let out a quiet laugh at his words. "Maybe." A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Spaghetti's pretty good. My mum used to make spaghetti every Sunday night for dinner. She'd make marinara sauce and everything. Just this huge Italian dinner." She hadn't done that in ages though. Not since her dad walked out all those years back. "Probably my room with a good book in hand." There was nothing like having the opportunity to just sit, relax and read a good book. "How long have you lived in London?"
Josh chuckled quietly, shaking his head. He was quite clearly amused by her words and actions. Her attempts remained futile though. "Like I said, you're just going to have to wait and see for yourself." He grinned widely. He knew that he could have easily given her some sort of hint, or maybe even one that would have misled her, but he was going to stay strong on this, and not tell her anything. He found her consistent attempts to be rather amusing.

Oliver smiled when she spoke of her mum making it every Sunday night, talking about it like it was such a wonderful memory, and it sounded like it was. "Not too long. I moved in about the time when my store was really picking up business. I'm really from Sheffield, a bit away, hated it there, though, really sucked, just everything did. Even dropped out of school even, but everything's better now," he shrugged a little. It really was all better because he was in an awesome band, had such a successful career that he didn't need anyone that had deserted him and treated him like shit in school. "Hm, okay, favourite animal?"

Piper huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're mean, Josh," she commented with a little pout. It could've been worse, he could have had her blindfolded or something. Her little act of pretending to be angry didn't last long as she looked back to him and asked him once again if he would give her any sort of hint. "But, please?" she asked, pouting even more now, unsure of what else she could do to try and convince him to give her some sort of hint.

Finley nodded. Things were clearly going well for him here in London. She'd lived in London her entire life, and although things weren't necessarily all that great for her, there were some aspects of her life that she did like. "I really like owls." She said. "I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd, and that sort of fueled my love for owls ever since I was a little kid." She shrugged her shoulders. "If you could change anything about your life what would it be?"
Josh chuckled quietly, seeing the adorable little pout on her face. "Pouting isn't going to get you anywhere with me, love." He said, a faint smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Nope, no hints for you. You're just going to have to learn to be a little bit more patient." He gave his shoulders a slight shrug. "I'm sure that you can handle waiting a bit."

"Owls are really cool, I can see why you love them," Oliver said before listening to her question. He wasn't sure if he really would change anything that had happened in his life. Maybe the way that he and Hannah had ended, maybe he could have fixed something there and they would still be together, but if that was the case, then maybe he and Finley wouldn't have met. Maybe he'd change how shit everything was growing up, or maybe he wouldn't. "Hard question, love, hm, I don't think I would change a thing. Every single choice I've made in my life, or made around me, has made me who I am, what I am. I don't think I could dare change a thing about it all. What about you? WHat would you change?"

Piper continued to pout, "Can you at least tell me if we're almost there or not?" she asked then, at least wanting to know how much longer she had to deal with not knowing. "You can at least tell me that, right? That can't hurt at all, like you can tell me that." The place he had to be taking her to had to be amazing because he was showing it to her, afterall. But Piper hated waiting, she loved surprises, but hated waiting to get them. That was one of the reasons why she hated holidays like Christmas and her birthday - she didn't want to wait.

Finley nodded. It was understandable. In some cases, she felt as though she wouldn't change a single thing about her life, but in other cases, she found herself thinking about what would have happened if her dad had never left in the first place. How different her life could possibly be right now because of that. "I would probably find a way to stop my dad from leaving when I was younger." She said after a few brief moments of silence. She didn't know why she was telling him this. She didn't really talk about it with anyone. She'd talked about it with Piper about it in the past, but that was it.
"We should be there in ten minutes. That's all you're getting though. Nothing else." Josh said. He figured that telling her that much wouldn't ruin the surprise. She didn't know where he was taking her, and he hadn't really giving her a hint at all. Telling her when they'd get there wasn't much of a hint in his opinion. It was more so setting a time-frame than anything else. Nothing really that useful.

Oliver fell silent as she spoke about changing the day that her father walked out on her and her mum. He really didn't know what to say to that. Oliver had had some shitty times, but he couldn't imagine having one of his parents just packing up and leaving one day. "Sounds like a really good day to change. I'm sorry he left," he said softly, pushing a hand back through his short hair. "I think you did just fine without him, f I can say. I mean here you are, alive and kicking and amazing. Got through college alive and without dropping out and that's more than I could do. And you're even in uni which is even better," he said, hoping that that could somehow make it better for her even if he wasn't even fooling himself.

"Ten minutes, okay, I can deal with that. I think," Piper said with a little grin. It really wasn't a hint at all, but at least it told her how long she had to survive before she got to see this place Josh wanted to keep a surprise. Ten minutes really wasn't all that long, just ten minutes, that's like a sixth of an hour. Piper could do that, definitely.

Finley still really didn't know what had come over her. This wasn't a subject that she really ever brought up especially not to someone who she'd only just met that day. However, Oliver's words were actually some of the sweetest ones she'd ever heard. Even if they technically weren't true. She was still in college, and there was a part of her that felt guilty for not telling him her actual age. She didn't say anything of it though, and without really even thinking twice about it, she leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. "Thank you." She said quietly.
"Alright, if you say so." Josh gave his shoulders a small shrug, a slight chuckle escaping his lips. "What year did you say you were in at uni again?" He asked curiously. He remembered her telling him that she was a university student, but he didn't think that she'd ever said what year she was in, and he was really simply curious. Plus he'd figured that it wouldn't hurt to make small conversation with her as they walked.

Oliver couldn't help a smile when she kissed his cheek. It was just a quick little press of her lips on his cheek but gods, it had felt so magical, just a little spark of magic that made his smile turn into a grin. The kiss didn't really mean anything, she was just thanking him for being nice, for saying a few nice words, but it felt like the most amazing thing in the world. "Of course, love, any day," he replied, his voice was just as soft as hers was. Oliver would forever try to make people feel better about themselves through events, traumatic or not. "C'mon now, cheer up, things are good."

"I'm a sophomore," Piper answered without having to think about it, thinking that she could pass as a sophomore in college. "Still got two more years yet until I'm done but I can't wait." She really just couldn't wait to leave her house. Maybe this visit to Finley would be enough to last her until she really could leave after high school. Piper needed to get out, badly.

Finley was honestly a bit taken back by her own actions. She normally wasn't someone who took chances like kissing someone she'd just met on the cheek, but for some reason she had. She knew that it didn't mean anything other than a thank you, but she had still surprised herself nonetheless. However, she relaxed a bit when she saw the smile on his face, one of her own appearing on her face soon after. "Alright." She said, a soft laugh escaping her lips at his later words.
Josh nodded. "Do you have any idea as to what you want to do once you graduate?" He asked her curiously. He didn't think twice about her response. It never once crossed his mind that she might be lying about her age. Of course, he had never actually come out and asked her how old she was, and he did just assume that she was talking about university when she said that she was a sophomore, but that was besides the point. He also wasn't exactly being completely honest with her either. Who could blame him for not telling her though? He was enjoying having her see him as just Josh. Not Josh Franceschi, frontman of You Me At Six.

Oliver nodded his head a little, smile growing at her laugh, even if it was soft. She was being so open with him, not a lie said that he could tell, and it made him feel guilty about not telling her that he was famous. "Okay, I feel bad for not telling you, but I haven't been entirely honest with you. But I didn't because I was a little scared that you would like me for that and only stick around for that and not who I really was," he said, starting to ramble. "'Cause Hannah was kinda like that when we had dated, and I kinda like you 'cause you're really amazing, well, what I know of you is amazing." Oliver looked to her a little sheepish, eyes wide. "I'm kinda really famous," he mumbled.

"Oh, Gods no, I'm actually really scared to graduate in a few years. It's like, wow, I have to grow up and get a job and actually do something other than sit around and eat and paint some pretty pictures," Piper said, biting down on her lower lip afterwards. At least, that part was scary, actually graduating college (if she would get in), but right now, she couldn't wait to get out of high school. It killed her being there, stuck in that stupid place with all those horrible memories she tried so hard to just suppress in her head, blocked by walls and walls.

Finley's eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion at his words. She remained silent though and waited for him to explain. And when he did, well, she only felt ten times worse for not being honest with him. "Define kind of famous..." She said, not really sure what else to say. Was she supposed to tell him that she hadn't been honest with him either? What was she supposed to do? If she told him the truth, she had a feeling that he wouldn't think she was as amazing as he did right now.
"I'm pretty sure that you're not alone there." Josh said. "I think that that's how a lot of people feel. Finishing college, or I guess high school for you, is one thing, but then there's a whole other step. I'm sure you'll be fine though." He added, sending a reassuring smile her way. He had a feeling that she was one of those people who could accomplish anything if they put their mind to it.

Oliver raked a hand back through his hair, shuffling his feet a little as he looked down to the ground. "Well, big enough to be surprised that you didn't recongnise me," he said, his voice a little muffled, but he was sure that she would be able to understand him. "Just in a pretty cool band, but I guess you didn't recongnise me because you don't listen to our stuff, which is totally cool and understandable." Oliver didn't think that she would treat him any other way than what she had just because he had told her he was famous. She seemed really cool, really down-to-earth, so he was sure that she would treat him just like any other person. Or so he really hoped she would. He wasn't anything real special just because he was in a pretty big band and had a clothing line going on.

"Oh, I hope so," Piper laughed a little. "Did you complete college or university?" she asked. Using both words in the same sentence that meant different things for once tasted funny in her mouth. She wasn't used to that, but that was explainable by him being British and her American. "Or did you just not go to, uh, uni and went straight to travelling with your friend or focus on your clothing line?" She had to remember to look up his line later one, if she would remember what it was. Something with a D, but she wasn't sure quite what.
