Finley really didn't know what to say. This was partly because she was feeling extremely guilty right now. He was being so honest with her, and she couldn't bring herself to be completely up front with him. She knew that if he knew how old she really was, he probably wouldn't be hanging out with her right now, and she liked talking with him. She liked hanging out with him. She didn't want to ruin anything yet, so she bit her tongue and didn't mention anything of her age. "You're in a band and you have your own clothing-line?" She asked, honestly pretty impressive. "That's actually really cool....and impressive." She smiled.
Josh smiled. "I'm sure you will be." He repeated. He had a feeling that she was one of those people who would definitely make it through uni. She seemed like she was the determined type who could get anything done if she set her mind to it. "I completed college, but I decided that university wasn't really for me, and got started with my clothing line. The traveling came a bit after that." He said, obviously lying through his teeth. He knew that he should probably tell her truth, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so.

Oliver looked to her a little sheepishly, actually scared for her answer until she actually said it, and even then he didn't think he heard it right. "Sorry I didn't tell you right away. It was just kind of nice to know someone wanted to hang out with me for a reason other than me being in a band, and normally telling a bird that I'm in a band kinda scares 'em off, wait, what? You think it's cool?" he said, shock evident in his voice. Normally, girls didn't like it when boys lie to them, but at least he admitted he wasn't being completely honest with her.

"That's cool, it had to be amazing to just go out and do that after school. It's a pain to think about going back," Piper said, glancing to him for a moment before looking back ahead of them. "So are we close?" she asked, referring to wherever he was taking her. She wanted to know, and the whole suspense of it all was just a killer. "Please, tell me we're close, I don't know how much longer I can wait."

Finley watched him with a slightly amused expression on her face. He was rambling on as if she had blown a gasket or something, when in actuality, she had basically said that she was cool with him being in a band and all that. How could she not be? He wasn't the only one who had been keeping secrets, though he didn't know that, and it would be extremely hypocritical of her to flip out on him. He'd admitted dishonesty, something that she just couldn't seem to bring herself to do. Letting out a soft laugh, she nodded. "I did just say that, did I not?"
Josh nodded. "Yeah, it was pretty amazing." He told her honestly. He was speaking more from the experience of touring the world than anything else. He wasn't being completely dishonest with her though, right? He had done a lot of traveling after he'd finished college. He hadn't gone to university. So, sure there were a couple of minor details that he was forgetting to mention, but he wasn't totally lying through his teeth. "Yeah, we should be there in three, maybe four minutes tops. Can you hold out a bit longer?" He chuckled.

Oliver let out a little sigh of relief. "So you really aren't mad?" he asked, just wanting to make sure. "Because if you are mad at me, I can totally understand it. I just yunno, my ex was into me because I was in a band and all. But, I'm not saying that we have to be anything more than friends, I don't want to push anything onto you, but if you wanted, Jesus Christ, Oliver," he said, stopping himself from rambling and making any more of a fool of himself. "Sorry." Maybe this was why Hannah dumped him, becauase he rambled and didn't know when to stop. He had to keep reminding himself not to think about her, she wasn't here anymore, and wouldn't be back. He knew that.

Just hearing him speak about how amazing it was, is, to travel around right after college made her think that maybe, she didn't need to go on to university, at least not right away, or ever. She was going to do something in the art field, she could drive around either America or stay with Finley and convince her to travel with her. Of course, the fear of not having money or running out of it to be able to do something scared her. "No, I can't, it's taking forever," she said, her own little laugh mixing into her words.

Finley watched him with a slightly amused expression on her face. For someone who was in a band, and probably went out on a stage in front of hundreds, if not thousands, of people a couple hundred times a year, he sure did seem nervous. But it wasn't a bad thing. She didn't think so anyway. In fact, she found it to be quite cute. She let out a soft laugh when he apologized after cutting himself off. "I'm not mad at you, Oliver, I promise." She assured him with a smile.
Josh chuckled softly. "You need to learn to be more patient. You know what they say about patience. It's a virtue and all that." He grinned over to her. Really he knew that she wasn't actually all that impatient. And it was taking quite some time to get where he wanted to take her, and it probably would have been faster for them to take a bus or to hail a cab, or even take the tube, some form of public transit really, but it was a nice day, sunny, blue skies, and that just wasn't something you saw in London very often. He sort of wanted to take full advantage of that fact. "Seeing as we're almost there, I'm going to have to ask you to close your eyes. Don't want to ruin the element of surprise or anything."

Oliver let out another sigh of relief. "Thank god," he muttered, moreso to himself. He was such a mess around girls, it really wasn't that funny to him, but he's heard from the girls he's dated that they thought it was cute. He just thought it was annoying. "Here," he said, pulling out his phone and after opening up a new contact, held it out to her, "Before I forget to get your number," he said, sounding a bit more confident of himself now, and not a total dweeb, like he knew he was. Tom was more of one, though, Oliver liked to point that out.

Piper made a face when he spoke of patient, something she obviously didn't have, or have enough of. "It's no fun being patient, it's more frustrating than anything else," she replied. It didn't cross her mind to wonder why they hadn't just taken a cab, it was nice to walk around with him, not minding that part of it, the surprise at the end of the walk was what was making her impatient. "How am I supposed to know where I'm walking then?" she asked, but complying and shutting her eyes, one of her hands went to cover them to make sure that she really wouldn't peek, even if she was tempted.

[So, I'm having major YMAS feels after the concert last night, and I was looking through some of my old RPs, and realized I never replied to this one. Facepalm I would totally love to continue it!]

Finley didn't find it to be funny so much as she found it to be cute. She certainly didn't find his rambling to be annoying though. She couldn't really think of a single reason why she would. "Did you honestly think I'd be angry with you?" She asked curiously as she took the phone from his hand. He seemed relieved, and she wondered if he really had expected her to flip out on him because he'd lied to her. She really didn't see it as a lie, they hardly knew each other, and there was also the fact that she still wasn't being completely honest with him. It sort of made her feel extremely guilty; Oliver was being completely honest with her now, and she couldn't do the same for him. If she told him the truth though, she doubted he'd want anything to do with her. She put her number in, handing his phone back to him with a smile. "There. Now you don't have an excuse not to text or call me."
Josh chuckled slightly, honestly finding her impatience to be rather adorable. She was just adorable in general, though there was something about her getting all huffy and pouting like a child that made her seem even more adorable than ever before. "D'you trust me?" He asked her softly, hoping that the answer would be yes. He knew that they hardly knew each other, and he wasn't exactly being honest with her, but he sort of hoped that she could tell that he was a good guy, even in the small amount of time they'd spent together.

Oliver shrugged a little, "Yeah, kinda," he admitted, taking his phone back and shoving it deep into his pocket. "I mean I didn't tell you right away, and didn't really want to tell you in case you would hang around just because I was famous - not like you seemed the type. There's just too many people like that and I didn't want you to be like that." At least he had gotten it off his chest. He didn't have to worry about it anymore. She was around him because she wanted to be around him, famous or not. It was like a normal friendship, and that was amazing, even if Oliver knew he liked Finley as more than just a friend. He really couldn't tell her that, though, as they had just met. Just calling her cute and pretty had to be his limit. She might then think of him as a creep if he professed he had a major crush (great, sound like a college girl) on her.

Piper waited for his reply, nodding her head when it came. "Of course." He had given her no reason to think otherwise, which was good. Her steps were slow and careful, not wanting to trip and fall seeing as she was currently walking blind. The last thing she wanted was to trip and fall and make a fool of herself, well, more of a fool than she had to have already made herself seem like today. "Just don't let me fall, okay?"

[ Of course! i totally forgot about this one!!!! ]

Finley nodded. She supposed she could see where he was coming from. She really didn't understand people who simply became friends with someone just because they were famous. Sure, it was cool, but at least want to stick around, and hang out with the person, because you like their personality or their company. Some people were just that shallow though. "Well, I'm not angry with you." She told him. "I think your reasoning for not telling me right away is understandable."
"I won't let you fall, love. I promise." Josh said, lightly placing his hand on the small of her back so that he could guide her down the street. He only rested it there lightly because he wasn't sure if she'd be okay with him doing so or not. He didn't want to come off as a creep or make her feel uncomfortable or anything like that. That was the last thing that he wanted to happen. Things had gone smoothly so far, and he didn't want that to change.
