Edward was at work on a local farm where he harvested fruits and vegetables, it wasn't a well paying job but it was the only one he could get hired for. He didn't live in the best way but he had seen people who were much worse off then he was, he had a job which fed him and he had a house to live in so he wasn't about to start complaining about what he didn't have. He was out in the field working up a sweat as he planted another crop of vegetables from seeds his boss had given him, he was just minding his own business not really paying attention to anything else around him.
He knew about Princess Margaret having to marry the Prince who was older than her, he had never met the Princess and had only seen her when she walked through the town. She seemed nice enough but he never paid attention to her either, he just didn't see the point as she had everything she could possibly want. Now she had someone who was going to love her and make a family with her, something that Edward knew he'd never have but that never got him down or upset.

    ~

Princess Poppy was sitting on a large boulder as she waited for Prince Daniel who had organized to take her on a hike, not that she wanted to go on a hike considering she was a princess but her future husband Hamish wanted his younger brother and future wife to get to know each other. Of course Daniel was running late which wasn't giving Poppy a good impression of him, she sighed heavily tucking some blonde curled hair behind her ear which had fallen from her ponytail. She looked over hearing footsteps as Daniel finally decided to arrive, "You sure know how to treat a girl, making her wait when this was your idea. Smart move Daniel" She said rolling her beautiful blue eyes, they had only met a few times before this one.
She even had to go out and buy clothes for this hike considering she had never gone for a hike in her life, she didn't know what to expect although she didn't like the idea of getting all hot and sweaty. That was a horrible image for a princess but Hamish wanted this and she had agreed to it, so it was half of her fault.

Daniel had had a busy night, he had spent it enjoying the ladies of the night, gambling and loosing his senses to the lure of wine. His head throbbed in the heat as he dragged himself toward the castle gardens where he knew Poppy would be waiting for him. Daniel scolded his brother for making him do this, it wasn't his idea of fun but of course his brother forced him to get to know Poppy considering the blonde was to wed his older brother. The blonde did nothing but annoy him. When he heard her speak it felt like a thousand knives were spearing his brain. The dark haired male scoffed at the blonde as he continued toward her.
"If you think this is my kind of fun then you are sorely mistaken Princess. I would rather be sleeping then going for a hike in this dreaded heat." he pointed out snappily, not caring how rude he was coming off as. The blonde always brought the bad side of him out.

    ~

Margaret walked the halls of the castle where she lived her stomach tying it's self in knots, her hands were slick with sweat. Anxiety had filled every pore of her body, the red head didn't want to do this, she didn't want to meet with Henry let alone marry him. The red haired Princess had heard stories about the older male, he was a drunk and he mistreated his women. Margaret couldn't get over the idea of her parents agreeing to this union it was preposterous. Just because her mother and father never married out of love did not mean she had to.
"Margaret, dear there you are," came her mothers happy voice, "Come along dear the carriage is waiting," Margaret turned to look at her mother, a woman no older then thirty with chocolate coloured tresses, the complete opposite of her young daughter. "We mustn't keep Prince Henry waiting," with that her mother gripped her arm and pulled her toward the carriage where her father already sat a beaming smile spread across his aging face.

Prince Henry was waiting rather impatiently as he sat on his throne in his own large castle, he had to wait for Princess Margaret to arrive so they could meet and get to know each other. He had been asked to take her hand in marriage by her father, his own parents never grew to love each other so he was brought up around that. He grew to know nothing about love nor kindness as his father was exactly the same in how he used to treat people, everyone was below him and he made that known.
He couldn't care less about staying single for the rest of his life, he couldn't refuse the King however and his parents went on and on about him giving them grandchildren soon before they grew older and died. He also wanted a son to carry on his surname so hopefully Margaret would at least give him a son.

    ~

Poppy rolled her eyes at him again knowing the kind of things he usually got up to, Hamish had told her how childlike his younger brother was. "Let's just get this over and done with, so I don't have to be near you any longer than I have to be" She didn't like the tone of voice he was using with her, but she couldn't do anything about it until after they finished spending time with each other. This was the worst idea Hamish has ever had, he'd be wrong if he expected Poppy to get along with Daniel because she couldn't stand him and he got under her skin.
She stood up turning and simply walking along the hiking track, she couldn't care less if Daniel followed her or not. But if he didn't than she'd run back to Hamish and tell him that his brother left her out there in the heat alone. To say she was a spoiled princess would be right, she knew Hamish would do anything for her and she knew he already loved her. Even if she didn't return those feelings.

Daniel sassed silently behind the blondes back as she began to walk off at a fast pace, her skirts billowing out behind her. Slowly he pulled himself along until he was in step with her, he would stay by her side but he'd be damned if he would even consider talking to her. The only reason he would stay so close was so that if Hamish saw the two of them he would think nothing of it. Daniel would not be the bad guy this time, the blonde haired bitch had his older brother wrapped around her little finger and she could make him do absolutely anything she asked. All she had to do was bat her annoyingingly long eyelashes and he would be a mumbling mess. Pathetic. The silence was nice it helped soothe his throbbing head but the heat from the sun was a problem in no time at all he was sweating his clothes began to stick to his body, he felt disgusting.

    ~

Margaret walked into the extravagant castle words a loss to her when she saw the beauty, the long tapestries, the stained windows, the rugs that covered the floor. Everything about King Leon and Queen Larissa's castle spoke riches.
"Now Margaret dear you know what to do when you see Henry, smile and speak only when spoken to." Margaret nodded her head as they entered the court where King Leon, Queen Larissa and Prince Henry sat all in their decadence. Jewels covering their fingers, crows of the pure gold and cloaks of the finest velvet tickling their necks.
"King William, Queen Sarah and..." King Leon trailed off as his dark eyes trailed over to Margaret who became uneasy under his stare, "Princess Margaret," her name coming off his tongue caused the knots in her stomach to tighten further. "Welcome to our home, My wife Larissa and our son Prince Henry," the brown haired prince nodded his head in greeting.
"Lovely to meet you," William smiled.
"Henry dear," Larissa spoke gently, "Be a gentleman and show the Princess around." Henry nodded his head before pulling himself to his feet and walking over to Margaret who felt like she was about to heave.

Henry walked over to the princess and offered her his arm to take, "My princess, the pleasure is all mine" He said politely like his mother had practiced with him this whole week, of course he was going to come across as the most lovely and caring guy when he was around both sets of parents. Knowing that even if the princess didn't want this marriage or if she ran off to her parents, she'd be forced into a marriage with him so she would just have to deal with it like he was also dealing with it.
Feeling her finally take his arm he led her out of the room, so he could show her the new castle she would be calling home very shortly. "Thank you for making the trip to me Margaret, I appreciate this" He said to her wanting her to also believe he was this nice guy, but from the look on her beautiful face she had already heard stories about him. Stories that didn't look well for him or how he behaved.

    ~

Poppy walked as she skirts flowed freely around her feet and legs, it was the worst possible day to be going on a stupid pointless walk. It was way to hot for being outside but Hamish wanted this and she couldn't really refuse, in fact neither herself nor Daniel could refuse so here they were walking side by side. It wasn't long into the walk that she looked over at Daniel and noticed he didn't look all the good, "Come over here" She told him as she left the path and pointed to a fallen log that was covered in shade from the trees, "Sit down".
Poppy had taken a sit on the log already sighed softly when the shade shielded her from the harsh sun rays, "We can just sit here, Hamish isn't going to know" She said looking at Daniel as her hands smoothed out her skirt, she wasn't going to let Daniel suffer from the heat or make him become sick from it.

Daniel walked over to fallen log slowly as he took a seat next to the blonde. Wiping his sleeve over his forehead he swiped the beads of sweat that had formed on his skin inhaling deeply as his eyes fluttered closed briefly. His head was throbbing and it wasn't from Poppy, she had been considerate but it was the harshness of the sun that was beating down on him.
The dark haired Prince opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings until he spied the old warn track, quickly he got to his feet and began walking toward it.
"Come on," he said to Poppy as he walked off not bothering to look over his shoulder until he was at the start of the track. A smile spread across his face at the memories of the track. It was something his father, brother and himself had formed when they were boys, the track lead to a small lake that they used to play in with out their mother knowing. He began to walk along it looking over his shoulder only to find that Poppy was still standing at the beginning of it, unmoving.

    ~

"It's an honor to be here your highness," Margaret spoke softly as she held the older Prince's arm as he lead her through the castle. Her light eyes darted around the hallways taking in her surroundings. King Leon and Queen Larissa had a decadent castle, everything about the building gave off the vibe of riches. Margaret took in the gold frame work, the fine tapestries, even the small details were done to perfection. "You have a beautiful castle your highness," she admitted gently.

Henry guided the young princess through the castle he had grown up in with his parents, he didn't think anything of how his home was decorated now. "Thank you my lady, I hope it is up to your taste. We will be spending much of our time here" He said in his posh deep voice, hearing Margaret's heels click against the stone flooring which is what he was used to from hearing his Mother's shoes click as she walked. "I hope this wasn't much for a surprise for you, coming here suddenly and knowing you will have to leave your home" He spoke to the beautiful princess, she was beautiful but if he had a choice in who he married than it wouldn't be Princess Margaret.
She was nice and beautiful but didn't seem his usual type as of yet, as they walked together through the hallways of the castle Henry pointed out many different rooms. If she was going to move there than he may as well be somewhat nice to her, something that he would rather not do but knew his parents wanted this for him.

    -

Poppy stood at the start of the path as a frown formed on her face, the path was getting overgrown and didn't look as safe as the other one Hamish had mentioned. "This is not the path Hamish spoke of, I would rather take the other one" She told the Prince as she had no idea he was used to walking the path or what was at the end of it, she was getting increasingly hotter under the sun especially as she was forced to wear a full thick dress. Her blue eyes watched as Daniel simply turned and began walking away from her, she glanced around herself not wanting to be left alone so she picked up her full skirt and followed behind Daniel.
After a while of walking and stumbling over branches she had enough, "This path better end soon or I'm turning around" She complained as she was starting to sweat which wasn't proper or ladylike, some of her blonde curled hair was sticking to the back of her neck. She was hot and tired and was getting thirsty, "Daniel, can't we turn back?" She asked not knowing the small lake was so close to them now.

Daniel sighed as the blonde complained, he tried not to let it get to him but there was something about her that always got to him it was inevitable. Daniel spun on the heels of his feet making the blonde stammer with her movements and nearly fall over. He looked down at her his dark eyes locking with hers before he spoke. "Will you kindly shut up!" with that he turned back around and hurried through the brambles sighing in relief when he saw the lake. A smile spread across his face at the thought of the cool water against his heated skin. Quickly he slid off his jacket and began to unbutton vest shrugging that off leaving him in his white cotton shirt. Quickly he pulled the material over his head kicked his shoes off before running into the lake and diving under.

    ~

"Of course your highness," the red head agreed, the castle was magnificent and she couldn't complain. "No all is well your highness," she lied easily. It had come as a terrible shock when she found out she was to wed the older prince. "I am honored that you would have even considered me let alone chose me to be your bride." Margaret spoke softly turning her head and looking at the prince her light eyes locking with his as a smile spread across her face.

Henry gave Margaret a shrug of his shoulders, letting his true side come out ever so slightly. "I honestly did not choose you my lady, I had no input on this matter" He told her honestly as he never was someone who sugar coated anything for anyone, he told it like it was even to his parents. "My parents know that this is not what I want, but it seems me marrying is more important to them" He spoke with class and it was obvious he was stuck up, he did think of himself better than the people around him.
Especially the people who had been hired to help and work at the castle and around the castle, being an only child most likely didn't help with that as he was spoiled for his own life. "My parents will only be happy when we wed and you bare my children, mainly a son" He told her not caring about how his words were affecting her, she'd had to toughen up if she wanted to be his Queen one day.

    -

Poppy looked at Daniel shocked as he told her to shut up, he had no right to speak to her in that way but she did stop complaining and continued to just follow him. She gasped softly seeing the lake and just how beautiful it was at the spot Daniel had taken her to, she quickly looked away when Daniel removed most of his clothes before he jumped into the clear cool water. "You honestly don't expect me to get in with you, right?" She asked as she looked over at him once he had surfaced the water, it was very tempting because she was struggling with the heat. She noticed the look in Daniel's dark eyes, he was silently daring her to get into the water.
He always got under her skin so she found herself untying her dress while slipping off her shoes, staying in her cream under garment dress so Daniel didn't see anything that he wasn't allowed to. She slowly slid herself into the water and felt it sooth her flushed skin, she went under the water before resurfacing just to cool herself down even more.

Laughter rang from the dark haired male's lips as he watched the blonde stand on the bank. "I would never dream of it," he chuckled as he watched her his eyes daring her to come in with him, plus he knew she was struggling with the harshness of the heat. Laughter got the better of him as he watched the blonde quickly untied her garment and stepped out of it leaving her in a cream under garment. He smirked as she descended into the water before she quickly dived under.
"I didn't think you were getting in," he teased once she had resurfaced her blonde hair sticking to the side of her face.

    ~

Margaret had to bite her tongue, she wanted to slap the Prince that was escorting her around. He was rude and a pig. The stories she had heard about him were true and she dreaded the fact that in a few months the two would be married and then she would have to bare his children.
"Of course," Margaret couldn't help the bite in her tone, but she wasn't taking it back either, he deserved to know she was about as happy for this marriage as he was.

Henry frowned hearing the snappy bite in the princess' tone and he wasn't a fan of how she had spoken to him, though he couldn't do anything about it just yet. He needed to wait until they were at least married which is when he could treat her however he liked, and he wasn't going to be holding back once she was his wife. He knew he had made a bad name for himself but he honestly did not care one bit and the ladies still seemed to throw themselves at him, besides women deserved to be put in their place.
Including Margaret who was soon enough going to be put into her place, for now he ignored her tone and brought her outside the castle so she could see the Kingdom that would be his once his parents past away. "Now that is no way to speak to your future husband" He told her keeping his tone more gentle and soft.

    -

Poppy reached her hands up and brushed the blonde wet hair away from her face, "I changed my mind, I am allowed to do that" She told the tall, dark and handsome Prince before she decided that she might as well be nicer to him than she usually was, "How do you even know about this place? Hamish has never spoken about it" She asked as her eyes focused on Daniel's eyes and it was the first time she noticed just how dark his eyes were, in some light they would seem black but in other light they were a warm dark chocolate brown.
Daniel and Hamish may be similar in many ways but they were also very different, partly in looks but Hamish would have never brought her to a lake. Hamish was more traditional and posh, where as Daniel was fun and didn't care about what people thought about him.

The two of us would always come down here with our father when it was a warm day, our mother never knew about it because she never approved of us swimming and playing around in a lake, claiming it was unsanitary. But our father was more lenient and would sneak us out here." Daniel admitted happily smiling at the many shared memories.
"Well Hamish wouldn't bring this place up because he is proper and a lake is no place to take a Princess." Daniel mimicked his older brothers voice at the last part before laughing loudly and ducking under the water to wet his warming face before resurfacing and looking at the blonde who was in the water with him.

    ~

"I'm sorry My Lord but your words hurt me," she admitted truthfully turning to lock eyes with the Prince a hurt look spreading across her face. Margaret didn't enjoy Henry's company at all and she wanted to yell at her parents for forcing her into this cruel marriage. The two continued through the palace before out of the corner of her eye she spied a room filled with scrolls and cloth bound books.
    A library.
"My Lord..." she began, "May I have a look in your library?" Margaret had always had a fondness for books so seeing the shelves of them in the one room filled her with excitement and happiness.

Henry simply ignored Margaret's comment about his words hurting her because he honestly didn't care, she'd have to learn to take his harsh words and deal with them quietly. He rolled his eyes when she asked him if she could look in his library which was really his Mother's library, he didn't have the time to sit down and read a silly book when he was helping his Father run the kingdom.
"Of course, go" He said shooing the Princess away from him with a simple flick of his hand, "I have things I need to do, do not get lost" He told her right before he turned and started walking away from her, it was as simple as that. He didn't have time to read and he didn't have time to show the Princess around, if she was smart than she'd find a slave and have them show her around the castle.
His parents were certainly testing him by giving him Margaret to marry.

    -

Poppy couldn't stop the smile that graced her face as she listened to Daniel speak about coming to the lake with Hamish and their Father, seeing the smile on his own face only made him even more handsome. Not that she thought he was handsome because he wasn't, Hamish was the handsome one or so everyone said which made Poppy extremely lucky though that's only what other Princess' said.
"No place for a Princess? Hamish needs to relax, he could take a Princess anywhere and she would love it because he was there with them" She spoke knowing that other Princess' hated her now because Hamish choose her over them even if she didn't ask for this, "This lake is beautiful, if I was brought here than I would enjoy my time" She told Daniel after he had resurfaced the water, she moved closer to him not knowing that a good enough of her cleavage was showing.

Daniel watched as the blonde moved toward him, strands of her blonde tresses sticking to the side of her neck, her blue eyes wide with glee. his dark eyes trailed down her face, the curve of her neck skimming over her collarbones and down further a smirk spreading across his face at the amount of skin he could see, the way the cream coloured garment stuck to her skin beautifully exposing the curves of her breasts. Instantly he took his bottom lip between his teeth as a smirk spread across his face, his dark eyes moving up so his eyes locked with her.
She definitely was pretty and there was no denying it, she had the bluest eyes he had ever seen and a gently smile, smooth skin that looked so kissable. Before he knew what he was doing he had moved toward her taken her in his arms and pressed his lips against hers, feeling their smoothness.

    ~

Margaret couldn't have been happier when he chose not to accompany her into the reading room. Nodding her head she walked into the room beginning to scan over the spines of leather bound books, taking in their colour and the texture of the material. Smiling she grasped a book the colour of coal and walked over to a small chair that was situated in the corner sitting and opening the book drinking in it's contents.

Edward had wandered into the castle as he had been offered a hardy man type job to take care of the castle grounds, though he wasn't sure where he was going having never been at the castle before. He wandered around the castle until he found a thick wooden door and pushed it open to see if he could find someone to help him out, "Oh I am sorry Miss, I did not may to disturb you" He said bowing as it was obvious she was a princess and he wanted to give her respect, he hoped he hadn't disturbed her or scared her but suddenly coming into what looked to be a large library.
He looked over to the beautiful princess and suddenly came speechless by how obviously beautiful she was, he had only seen a few princess' around but she was by far the most beautiful woman he had even seen. So he lowered his eyes to the floor out of respect even if he wanted to continue looking at her.

    -

Poppy watched as Daniel moved closer to her and she noticed the area of her body that he had looked at, she should have scolded him for looking at her in that way but it just caused butterflies to form in her stomach. She enjoyed him looking at her body. She smiled giggling softly when he wrapped his arms around her small waist, her eyes closed as she felt his warm smooth lips press against her own. Instantly she was kissing him while her arms wrapped around his neck, her fingers rubbing the back of his neck and let her body move closer to his so there was no gap between them. She wanted to be as close to him as she could possibly get, their lips moved together perfectly.
It was wrong considering she was suppose to be marrying his brother, but she never felt like this when she kissed Hamish. It was wrong but being in Daniel's arms felt so wrong, slowly she pulled back from his lips as her blue eyes opened once again. "I hadn't been expecting that" She whispered as her fingertips played with the wet hair at the nape of his neck.

"I wasn't expecting to do that," he admitted truthfully as a smirk spread across his face. "honest answer now, am I better then my brother?" he teased. Looking deeply into the blondes eyes while he waited for his answer. A small part of him wanted to know the other part just wanted to stir trouble. He gently ran his fingers through the wet strands of her shoulder length hair awaiting her answer and reaction.

    ~

Margaret jumped, startled, at the sound of the heavy door being pushed open. Quickly she slammed the book she was reading closed and got to her feet afraid that Henry had returned to cause her discomfort with his harsh words and lack of affection toward her. She was greatly surprised when a young man appeared before her just as startled as she was. She watched as his eyes were quick to lower to the floor out of respect. A gentle smile spread across her face at his respect for her, something the Prince lacked severely! "No, it's quite alright. Do you need help? Are you seeking to speak to the King?" she asked gently placing her book down and taking a step toward him

Edward could talk and he loved to talk but right now, he was speechless and he didn't even know what he should say. The way her long straight red hair flowed down her back and over her shoulders, made him want to run his fingers through her locks to feel how soft and silky her hair was. "Yes I am hoping the King will offer me a job here, I have never been in this castle before. I apologize Miss for startling you, I will leave you now" He said to the beautiful Princess as he mentally kicked himself.
He sounded like an idiot and he simply forgot to tell her that she shouldn't stay there with Prince Henry, he had seen first hand how the Prince treated women and it was disgusting. Of course Edward had been raised to respect everyone and to treat women the way they deserved, he stepped backwards to exit the room not wanting to disturb the Princess any longer.

Poppy was the definition of a Princess as she acted like one, but most people didn't know how cheeky she could really be. "You may be but I need another kiss, just to make sure" She grinned at Daniel as this time she leaned in closer to him, she kissed his lips because she wanted to and she knew what she wanted she got. She let this kiss linger for longer than it should have but there was no going back now, she felt differently about Daniel though he could still get under her skin and annoy her.
Letting her hands move across his warm skin she rested her palms on his chest, "Much better" She whispered slowly opening her blue eyes and looking deeply into his, "This is wrong Daniel" She told him though she didn't make any movement of putting distance between them, she really liked how it felt to be in his arms.

Daniel was caught off guard by the blondes actions, the way her lips captured his caused him to grip her tighter to him. He felt her hands trail across his naked skin before coming to rest on his chest as she pulled away from him. A chuckle left the dark haired males lips at what the Princess had just said.
"But doesn't it feel exciting?" he asked seriously, a wickedly seductive tone to his voice as his eyes locked with hers.

Margaret couldn't help the giggle that left her lips as she called out, "I hope I have the pleasure of seeing you around this castle again soon." with that her light eyes watched as the brown haired peasant walked out of the library and down the hallways searching for the King. Margaret couldn't wipe the smile off her face as she sat back down and opened the book she had previously been reading.
