Eleanor glanced over to where the Captain was standing, "No I don't." He said lamely to her sister, "Besides even if I did have feelings for him. Nothing could happen between us, I'm a mermaid and he's a pirate." She told Velora as she looked back at her, she was disappointed that Liam was a human because she really did like him and her feelings were growing for him. She knew better than to trust a pirate, let alone a human but she already did trust the Captain.

"Father would never let us leave home once we return, we'll be grounded for a long time." She spoke knowing their parents must be worried sick about them both.

Velora knew all too well the law that had been around for years, no mermaid was to fall for a human. No mermaid was to have any contact with humans let alone have feelings for them. However there was no denying her sisters feelings for the Captain. The dark haired mermaid knew that her father would be furious when he hears news of his two daughters on board a human ship and not just any humans but pirates.

"Perhaps it's time the law changed," Velora stated not sure if she was saying it for her sisters benefit or her own because there was no denying the feelings that stirred in the pit of her stomach when she looked at Harold.

Harold had shown her kindness in a place of hate. He had shielded her covering her most privet parts from the men on board who had salivated at the sight of her. A naked woman in front of them. The bad thing was that when a mermaid or man falls in love they fall deeply in love with that person and only that person which is what scares her because if she falls deeply in love with Harold their love will not be able to blossom due to the fact that she is a creature of the sea and he is a mortal of the land.

Shaking her head she tried to rid herself of the thought and instead walked over to the side of the vessel looking out over the side watching the water roll underneath the bottom of the ship.

Harold had been shown around the ship, he knew that he was going to fit in well with the Captain and crew. He walked onto the main deck and saw Velora standing by the side, watching the water with her beautiful eyes. He made his way over to her before her sister could.

"Is everything alright?" He asked the mermaid who seemed to be in deep thought, he leaned against the wooden railing as his eyes focused on her. "A penny for your thoughts?" He asked not knowing if she knew what that saying meant, even if she didn't he still would like to know what she was thinking about. If she was having second thoughts about finding her brother, or having second thoughts about being around him. He was developing feelings for Velora and quickly, he wanted to tell her how she felt but he had no idea how to. She was a mermaid and he was a pirate, how could they truly be together?
Eleanor listened to what her sister said about the rules changing, though it was easier said than done. She watched as Velora walked to the side of the ship, she went to follow but the curly haired pirate beat her to it. She looked around the ship and smiled when her eyes landed on the Captain, a smile formed on her face when she saw him. She walked over to him, "Hi" She smiled sweetly at him.

"So when are we going onto the land?" She asked him as she wanted to go on land with him, she wasn't sure why but she only wanted him. She knew about how mermaids loved another person, but she wasn't sure if her feelings were growing into love or lust for the Captain.

"Hello," he greeted a smile spreading across his face, "Uh... a few more nights and then we shall dock and seek out food and a few nights rest on land," the brunette decided to cover the fact that most of the crew would spend the night indulging in the drink and presence of women. He thought Eleanor didn't need to know that little bit of information.

"Are you sure you wish to come ashore with the crew and I?" he asked, a feeling of unease was stirring in his gut. What if she was caught by someone, stolen, she was a beautiful woman and it wouldn't be unlike the sleazy men to try and corrupt her. The truth was Liam would have felt more comfortable with her on the ship hidden from the lingering eyes and wandering hands of drunk men.
Velora was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of Harold's voice, lifting her head from the waves she locked eyes with the young pirate and smiled. "I am fine," she was fine just thinking over what she had just blurted to her sister. Why had she said it? Did she have feelings for Harold. Shaking the thought from her mind she continued to speak. "I am just thinking about my brother and when I see him." which was a slight truth, her brother was always on her mind and what would happen when the two finally met, when Eleanor saw that she had an older, long lost, brother.

"I am a little worried about what Eleanor might do... think and possibly say."

Harold could understand that, "Why hasn't anyone told Eleanor about him?" He asked as he secretly stepped closer to the mermaid, at least he tried to make it look secret so she wouldn't notice that he had moved closer to her. "I'm sure once he sees you, everything will fall into place. I heard a few men talking about docking shortly, I wanted you to know so you could stay on the ship with me." He suggested as he wasn't going to let her off this ship, he had seen many drunken pirates before and Velora didn't deserve to be around all of that.

Anything could happen to her, if she was taken from him or hurt because he couldn't protect her. He would never forgive himself, he may be a pirate but he wasn't overly muscular nor did he ever really get into any fights that didn't involve his sword or some kind of weapon that weren't his fists. He would fight for Velora but he honestly didn't know how well he'd actually do.
Eleanor looked at Liam and thought about it, she had heard so many stories of how men drank and treated women. "I guess not, but I could go during the day with you. Just for a little while, than I'll come back onto your ship." She told him as she gazed into his dark eyes, a light flush settling across her cheeks as she remembered what Velora said to her, "What if I get bored without you here?" She asked as she didn't really have anything to do on the ship when the crew wouldn't be there.

"We could hide behind the ship and I could take you swimming," She suggested as she did miss being in the water, though she was also having a good time on the pirate ship. She didn't find herself thinking about the water all that much.

"Perhaps," Liam smiled as he thought over the idea of her coming on land with him through the day. He would protect her and keep her out of harms way but at night, at night she would have to return to the ship no questions asked. He would even walk her there himself if he needed to just to make sure she was safe. A low chuckle left his lips as he looked at her and saw the blush that spread across her cheeks. "I am sure you would find something to do." he pointed out.

When Eleanor suggested swimming he cleared his throat awkwardly. Liam didn't know how to tell the mermaid but he didn't know how to swim. Yes he had spent his whole life on a ship but he has never known how to swim. He had always assumed that he would go down with the ship. "Perhaps," was his answer, it wasn't a no but it wasn't a yes either.
Velora shrugged her shoulders, "Whenever a mermaid or man is taken it is like they try to forget about their existence. It's as if they think they are gone forever. They don't even try to find them they just write them off the scrolls and that's the end of them." Velora paused looking over her shoulder seeing that her sister was lost in a conversation with the captain. "But when Xan was taken it was like half of me was missing. Xan was my best friend. When he was captured off the coast of Britain I was heart broken but when my father automatically gave up on the possibility that he could still be alive that was when I got mad. All my life I have been waiting for the right moment to try and find him. To take him back to my father and present him after all these years perhaps he would encourage change and that it's never too late to look for someone who had been taken hostage by pirates or even the common land folk."

Velora paused and nodded her head, "I have to look for him... I can't stay on board." she said even though a feeling of unease stirred in her gut.

Harold frowned as he listened to what Velora was telling him, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. How could a family not care about their loved one like that? To not go after a son or daughter when they have been taken, he couldn't just forget his Mother or sister. They were his family and he loved them more than anything else in the world, he wouldn't forgive himself if he didn't try his hardest to bring them back if they were taken. "How could they not go searching for their loved ones? Not knowing if they are alive or hurt, it would drive me crazy. I could never do that, I could never just forget about someone like that." He told her and now fully realised why she was so determined to find her brother.

"I'll do whatever I can to help you find him, do you have any ideas on where he could be?" He asked her as he rested his hand on her back to assure her that they would find her brother, he wasn't going to let her stop until they did find Xan. He could see how important this way, it was the least he could do after she risked her life to save his.
Eleanor looked at the Captain and smiled at him, "I'm taking both perhaps as a yes. Just so you know," She told him as she couldn't be stuck on the ship all the time, especially when land was right there. She hadn't actually been on land before as her Father never allowed her or Velora to step foot on land, she was so curious about what it was like and she wanted to see what the land held for the humans. "I promise I won't get into any trouble and I won't go far from the ship," She tried to convince Liam that her going on land wouldn't be a bad thing.

She would find something to do on board when it was night, that is if she was allowed off during the day. Even it was for a few hours, at least she'd still be able to experience it.

Liam chucked at the mermaids persistence. The way her face lit up when she talked about going on land for the first time. As much as the Pirate Captain didn't want her to step foot on land he couldn't help but melt under her smile and words.

"Alright, you may come ashore for a while... but I beg of you do not drift to far away, not all pirates are like my men." clearing his throat awkwardly he looked down at his boots before speaking. "Eleanor... I actually... I do not know how to swim..." he felt his cheeks burn with a fierce blush. He was embarrassed at himself but it was the truth and he thought she deserved to know it.
An overwhelming feeling of happiness washed over the mermaid as she looked up at the male who was looking down at her, she wrapped her arms around the curly haired pirates shoulders burying her face into his neck and thanking him. When she felt his arms slowly wrap around her she relaxed a little more underneath his hold.

"You are a special person Harold. You have a heart," she stated truthfully. He definitely wasn't black hearted like she had believed all pirates were for all of her life. "I am thinking the men will be docking soon... I will get off then."

Harold couldn't stop himself from smiling when Velora wrapped her arms around him, he was a little shocked at first but was quick to overcome that. He also wrapped his arms slowly around her, he didn't have much experience when it came to women but he really liked having the mermaid this close to him. It made him feel like he could protect her from anything and keep her safe at all times, of course he knew that that may not happen. She was a mermaid after all and had already gotten herself in trouble when his old ship captured her, but he'd made sure nothing like that happened to her again.

"I wouldn't say that I'm all that special, I'm just a person." He told her as he couldn't take her words seriously, she was just saying them to him and he didn't believe them. He was just a normal man, nothing special about him at all. "We will be docking shortly, I will be at your side until we find your brother and bring him back." He assured her as he wasn't letting her do this alone, it was far too dangerous for her.
Eleanor smiled when the captain gave into her and agreed to take her onto land with him, "I know. I promise that I won't go far and I'll stay with you or someone you trust," She promised him so he'd feel better about her going off the ship, she had never been on land before. It was her first time being on a ship, her father had been very over protective of her and Velora but especially Eleanor. Apparently she was too curious and too trusting, she couldn't wait until the ship docked and she could walk on land for the first time.

She smiled when Liam told her that he didn't know how to swim, "Then we won't go swimming. We can find something else to do," She didn't think it was a big deal, he couldn't swim and she was sure she couldn't walk as well as him. Seeing his blush, she stepped closer to him and pressed a kiss to his warm flushed cheek. "We can explore land instead of swimming," She told him quietly.

A smile spread across the Captains face at how kind and understanding Eleanor was being with him. He nodded his head turning and watching as the sun rose higher in the sky. It was a perfect day on board the ship, there was a breeze that pushed it forward and the tides were being kind to them. Liam dreaded the doldrums, the days where there is no wind and they are stranded in the middle of the ocean with now way to move forward. As the male was lost in his thoughts he didn't notice the crew member, Crow, that had limped over to Eleanor greeting her kindly.

"Would the lady be interested in helping me with the nets?" he asked, his hands were scarred and were bending into the shape of claws making it harder for the older male to do any of his work on the ship. Liam snapped back and looked at Crow. He was a kind man and Liam knew how hard it was for the man to do his chores and the captain tried to help him out where he can but it was a little hard when he was needed doing several other things.
Velora nodded her head comforted at the fact that Harold would be with her when she took her first steps onto land. The mermaid was terrified at what could happen once she steps foot onto the earth. She had heard so many terrible stories about the Pirate taverns and them in their drunken state. However the dark haired mermaid knew she had to do it in order to see her brother again. In order to prove her father wrong and unite her family once again.

"I'm scared," the words fell from her lips as she looked out at the horizon seeking out any form of land.

Harold begun to run his finger through Velora's silky dark hair, while his arm stayed protectively around her small waist. "You don't have to be scared, I won't let anything happen to you. I'll be right there beside you and we will find your brother," He promised her in a whisper as he knew what drunken pirates were like, or just drunken men in general and he didn't want Velora to witness anything of that nature. But she would when she walked on land, that is why he needed to be on guard the whole time because he wasn't going to let anything else happen to her. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if she was hurt or kidnapped again, he would blame himself and hate himself for it.

He glanced over at the horizon which is where the mermaid was looking, land would be slowly coming into their view any time now. But he wanted to take that off her mind, "How about you come with me and help me keep the sails up?" He offered her knowing he should be getting on with his chores, but right now he only cared about the beauty that was wrapped up in his arms.
Eleanor looked over to the older man and noticed how bad his hands were, although she didn't pay anymore attention to them as she sent him a wide and warm smile. "I would love to help you, show me the way." She spoke nicely to him and followed him when he lead her away, she did however glance over her shoulder at the Captain but only felt a blush form on her cheeks when she noticed Liam was watching her. She turned back around so she could help the man with his chores, she liked that he had asked her. She didn't want to be treated that differently, she could do chores along with the men as she was traveling on the ship and it was only fair that she helped out.

She got talking to Crow and she was surprised that someone so nice and friendly would be a pirate, although she shouldn't be because she never would have expected Liam to be a pirate nor a captain of a ship. But Crow told her that he didn't have the best start to life and being a pirate was the only thing he could do, be a pirate or end up being homeless or locked up in jail.

Liam watched as Crow pulled the woman away and talked to her, the brown haired captain was happy that she was so willing to oblige and help him. Liam knew the man was lonely since losing his wife and children he had no one to talk to. Liam had always tried to be an ear to the old man but he very rarely spoke to him. Crow kept his memories locked away from everyone. A small part hoped the older pirate would open up a little to the new female on board.

"Cap'n', we're close." Creeves' voice snuck up from behind Liam.

"Very well, thank you Creeves," he nodded his head his eyes turning to the horizon where he could now clearly see land.
Velora nodded her head a sudden excitement coming over her at the option to help the male, "Please, I would love to," she smiled widely following the curly haired pirate as he walked off toward the sails. Naturally Velora knew nothing about sails or what to do with them. The only thing she knew about them was that they were on a ship and their purpose was unknown to her.

"What do they do?" she asked looking up at the white cloths waiting Harold's answer.

Harold smiled as he looked at the beautiful mermaid, he actually liked that she didn't know what the sails were for. Maybe he could teach her as much as she could teach him, he didn't know much about mermaids and apparently Velora didn't know much about human things.

"The sails catch the wind, it pushes the ship along in the direction that we want." He told her and sent her another cheeky grin, which showed off the dimples in his cheeks. "But the sails are very heavy, you might not be strong enough." He teased her as he just wanted a reaction out of her, he couldn't help himself.

"I might have to do this myself," Harold raised one of his arms and flexed his bicep muscles for Velora to see, he wasn't sure how fit merman were but he wanted to impress Velora. He hoped that it didn't backfire in his face, but the mermaid hadn't run away from him yet so he had to be doing something right.
Eleanor listened intently to what Crow was telling her, he mentioned that she reminded him of his oldest daughter. So she asked him more about his family as she was interested, she hadn't been on board for long but she never saw Crow talking to anyone else on the ship. She smiled when he described his wife and she sounded so beautiful, she was stubborn but loved him and gave him the best life that he could imagine.

Eleanor didn't speak much as the older man seemed more than comfortable to talk to her and open up to her, "I know that your family is watching over you now. You aren't alone," She told Crow sweetly as she continued to help him with whatever chores he had, she knew that she shouldn't but she was enjoying being on board the pirate ship.

She had things to do and having a handsome Captain near by, didn't hurt at all. It was a very nice bonus, she knew she needed to go home with her sister as their parents would be heart broken. But Eleanor didn't feel like going home, she wanted to see the world.

Liam turned and looked at the female who was happily helping his oldest crew member with the nets, he thought about taking the female onto land but he also feared it. Feared that the men would be able to sniff her out and realise that she was a mermaid. When that happened he could only imagine what they would try to do to get her. How much silver they would pay even gold. Liam would be stupid if he didn't say he was a little excited to hear how much they would pay for her but the truth was she was not for sale, neither was her sister who was over helping Harry with the sails. However he looked like he was showing off more then he was trying to loosen the sails.

Liam chuckled to himself as he watched the two, one minute the male was loosening the ropes the next he was being thrown around the other side of the ship causing the female to jump in and hold them while he got to his feet.

Liam shook his head before he walked over to Eleanor crouching down beside her, he watched her her delicate hands made quick work of the knotting in the nets. "You are talented," he whispered gently. A smile formed on his face when he felt her jump beside him.
Velora was nearly doubled over with laughter, tears were streaming down her cheeks as she looked at the curly haired male who was struggling to his feet. In all his showiness he had lost concentration and a large gust of wind caught the sails pulling the rope and funnily enough him off his feet sending him flying. Velora was quick to grab the rope and hold it down however she couldn't stop the laughter that was bubbling from her lips.

She made quick work of the ropes tying it off. She wasn't sure how she knew what she was doing but it couldn't have been much different to the knotting they did back at the palace. Surely. Once she knew it was secure she walked over to Harold who was getting to his feet slowly.

"Are you alright?" she asked even though her words were laced with laughter.

Harold did feel embarrassed from being thrown around the ship by a stupid gust of wind, he couldn't even show off in front of Velora without something going wrong for him. Not that it would cause him to stop, because he'd always want to show off in front of the beautiful mermaid. He was slightly dazed from how sudden he was taken through the air, he brushed off his clothes and pushed his dark curly locks back away from his face. "You don't even care, you stood there laughing when I could have hurt myself." He told her and pouted his lips at her, he hadn't gotten hurt apart from his pride but he could have been hurt and all Velora did was laugh at his misfortune.

"I'm fine," He grumbled as he pretended to be upset with her for laughing and laughing so much at him, "I don't even know why I bother with you. You're just using me for my good looks, you don't even care about me." He said rather dramatically as he stepped back over to the sail and made sure that it was secure, it was and the knot that Velora tied was pretty good.

"Where did you learn to tie knots like this?" He asked her as he pulled on the rope to tightened the knot a little bit more, so no one else was attacked like he had been.
Eleanor had been so focused on tying knots in the nets, Crow had told her and showed her how the knots needed to be. She picked it up quickly because tying knots was something that her father made sure that she knew, Velora learnt how to tie knots as well but for some reason their father focused the lessons more on Eleanor. Which she never really minded because she got to spend time with her father, she hadn't been concentrating on anything other then the knots so she didn't know that Liam was crouching down beside her until he whispered to her.

She jumped a little and looked at the Captain, "Don't sneak up on me. You scared me," She told him but she wasn't upset with him, for all she knew he could have called out her name but because she wasn't listening she hadn't heard anything. "Thank you, my father taught me. But I haven't tied a knot for a long time, I'm probably not as good as your crew." She said as she looked into his dark brown eyes, she could hear her sister laughing but didn't know what about.

At least she was feeling better and to have her laughing, she must be feeling much better. Which Eleanor was glad about, she hated seeing her sister in the state that she had been in after saving Harold's life.

Crow listened to the young woman as she spoke to the captain. He was startled when the Captain spoke to him.

"What do you think Crow, do you think we could make a pirate out of her yet?" Crow chuckled before nodding his head.

"Of course, if she can tie knots like this, she would make a great deckhand." the elder admitted the Captain watching a smile spread across the younger man's face before he turned his attention back to what he was doing.

    *~*~*

Liam listened to his eldest crew member agreeing with him, nodding his head and thinking about what it would be like to have her on his ship, a mermaid helping out his men, but the more he thought about it the more he realised that a pirate's life was not one for someone like her, especially with fights and ship wars they get caught in every now and then.

Liam noticed that the young woman's attention was pulled away, following her eyes he saw that she was looking at her sister who was enjoying her company with Harold. She was doubled over with laughter.

"Eleanor, come with me." Liam leant forward and spoke into her ear.

    *~*~*

"Of course Harold, you caught me! I am only using you for your attractiveness." she laughed as she watched the curly haired male walk around and grab her knot to check that she had done it right.

"My father taught me, it may surprise you but there are things we have to tie things down under the waves." taking a deep breath Valora looked up at the sky and saw how clear the sky was and the light breeze made it pleasant.

Harold grinned over the beautiful mermaid after he had finished checking the knot that she had made, “Like what? Do you tie seaweed off?” He teased her as he couldn’t help himself, what would actually need to be knotted down under the sea? He had no idea but apparently there was something that would need to be tied up, this just made him realise that he knew nothing about Velora’s home.

Noticing that she was looking out at the clear sky, he stepped closer to her and rested a hand on her lower back. “Having seconds thoughts?” He asked her very quietly so no one else would over hear them, he knew that Velora wanted to find her older brother and that her sister wasn’t to know anything about it.

He’d support the mermaid in whatever she wanted to do, find her brother or find a way back home. Although he hoped she didn’t want to go back home, he didn’t want to stop seeing her and spending time with her. If she did go back home, Harold wasn’t sure how often he’d be able to see her.

That scared him as he could feel himself falling for the mermaid, he didn’t want to lose her. He had never felt this strongly for someone before, that scared him as well as he had never been in love but he was ready for it now.
Eleanor felt the Captain’s hot breath brush against her skin as he whispered into her ear, looking at him her eyes locked onto his. “Where are we going?” She asked after he asked her to follow him, there weren’t many places where they could go on the ship but she willingly followed him anyways. When Liam stopped walking, she looked at where he had taken her. She watched as he stepped behind her, his body was close to her’s and his hands found her waist.

Her heart begun to race inside her chest and she was glad that he couldn’t hear her heart, reaching out for the metal bars Liam lifted her up so it was easier for her to climb up to the crow’s nest of the ship. Eleanor climbed up first and pulled herself into the lookout point, she didn’t wait for Liam to join her as she looked out at the view that was surrounding her.

Gasping softly when she couldn’t believe what she was seeing, the miles and miles of ocean that was all around. The breeze moved through her dark curled locks and felt fresh on her face, “This is so beautiful.” She smiled as she looked at the Captain when he did join her, her eyes glowed with happiness as she felt free being up that high and just seeing the ocean comforted her.

Liam stood behind the mermaid, the smell of the sea filled his sense of smell. He was glad she was happy with what he had shown her. It was his favourite place to come when he needed a little time to himself, normally that was late at night when the rest of the crew was sleeping. He would spend most of the night looking out at the water for hours and occasionally looking at the sky and making out different constellations.

"You should see it at night, the reflection of the moon on a calm sea is beautiful. Some nights when it is so still and it looks like glass it's like we are sailing through the night sky, stars dotting the water." the two stood in silence for a few moments before Liam heard someone below call out.

"Land Captain!" looking a little further into the horizon the brown haired male saw the beginnings of the shore line.

"Come on, we had better get back on deck." with that he began to climb down the rigging Eleanor following behind the wind catching her long hair and whipping it around her face. Once back on the deck he walked over to where his crew mate was steering the ship.
Velora jumped when the males hand came in contact with her lower back and he spoke from beside her, shaking her head. She would never have second thoughts she wanted to be reunited with her brother but she was scared. Scared of what she might face. The fact that her brother may not know her, or worse he could be dead. Shaking the thought from her head she had to stay positive and continue to believe that he was fine, that he would remember her and that he would return to the sea with her.

When she heard one of the men call out land was close she felt her heart rate pick up in pace, turning she walked to the front of the ship not sure if the curly haired male was following her, standing right up the front she could see the forming of land. The sandy beach and shadowy shapes of ships and a dock.

    "We're nearly there."

Harold chuckled softly to himself as he followed Velora to the front of the ship once a crew mate had announced that he had seen land, he stood right behind the beautiful mermaid as her pretty eyes were glued onto the land that was coming closer to them with each passing second. He wasn't sure how this was going to play out, how Velora was going to sneak away from her sister so they could start the search for the older brother that Velora so desperately wanted to take back home with her. The thought made his heart drop down into his stomach, once she found her brother then she would return to the ocean and he might never see her again.

He highly doubted her father would allow either of his daughters to leave his sight again, after everything they have done. But he tried not to think that way, it wouldn't do him any good to think like that so he pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind. "How are you feeling? First time being on land," He asked her softly, his lips close to the shell of her ear which caused his hot breath to brush over her delicate skin. The breeze was pushing her hair back over her shoulders, as the ship headed towards the dock so they could tie the ship off and explore the town they had come across.

Harold wasn't stupid, he was scared about having Velora on land. If anyone did somehow find out that she was a mermaid, there would be nothing stopping them from kidnapping her again and selling her to the highest bidder. The thought made him sick to his stomach, he still didn't understand how anyone could be so cold hearted but at the same time he knew there would always be people like that in the world.
Eleanor could have stayed up there all day long and she had been wanting to, until a voice broke through her concentration. Land had been seen, so she followed Liam down the rigging carefully as she didn't want to fall or get stuck. Once her feet touched the deck she hurried over to the railing, sticking her head out over the railing so she could see the land that was forming as the ship moved through the water. A wide smile broke out onto her face as her eyes took everything in, she had never even seen land before as her father never allowed her nor Velora to swim this far away from home. "It's beautiful," She whispered to herself before she turned and rushed over to where Liam was standing at the wheel of the ship.

"It's so close now, I can see a sandy beach." She was beaming as her shining eyes looked at the Captain, she had never felt this much excitement flow through her body before. She couldn't wait until she could explore the town, feel the grass and sand underneath her bare feet, meet all the different people and taste the food that they cooked. "Can the ship go any faster?" She asked as she couldn't wait much longer, she wanted to get onto the land as soon as possible.

However her comment only seemed to amuse Liam, apparently the ship couldn't go any faster otherwise they wouldn't be able to stop in time before crashing through the wooden dock and wreaking the ship.

Liam watched as the young mermaid hurried over to the railing of the ship and leant over shouting out she could see land. To say she was excited was an understatement and when she asked if the ship could go any faster he laughed shaking his head and telling her that it wasn't able to be done. However a niggling feeling of fear crept into his mind. He was terrified to have her on land, he knew what people did when they found a mermaid.

They were caught for their scales, they could be sold for a good amount of gold, if it was a female most of the time it wasn't scales they wanted. It was their innocence, especially if they were younger. Eleanor and Velora's age.

Liam had decided that the best way to keep Eleanor safe was to say she was his, that he owned her. Then no man would go near her. However he wasn't sure if that would work for Harold considering he wasn't a captain. He would have to talk to the curly haired male before they docked.

"Take the wheel," he stated as he walked over to the curly haired pirate.
"I am terrified," Velora admitted truthfully. She was scared, scared at the people that she would encounter, she had heard many tales back in her world. Tales of what men did to mermaids. A shiver ran down her spine as she recalled them. She had to find some kind of protection from those kinds of people. Turning she looked at the male but as she was about to open her mouth Liam was behind the male hand on his shoulder asking to have a word with him in private.
