Harold chuckled softly to himself as he followed Velora to the front of the ship once a crew mate had announced that he had seen land, he stood right behind the beautiful mermaid as her pretty eyes were glued onto the land that was coming closer to them with each passing second. He wasn't sure how this was going to play out, how Velora was going to sneak away from her sister so they could start the search for the older brother that Velora so desperately wanted to take back home with her. The thought made his heart drop down into his stomach, once she found her brother then she would return to the ocean and he might never see her again.
He highly doubted her father would allow either of his daughters to leave his sight again, after everything they have done. But he tried not to think that way, it wouldn't do him any good to think like that so he pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind. "How are you feeling? First time being on land," He asked her softly, his lips close to the shell of her ear which caused his hot breath to brush over her delicate skin. The breeze was pushing her hair back over her shoulders, as the ship headed towards the dock so they could tie the ship off and explore the town they had come across.
Harold wasn't stupid, he was scared about having Velora on land. If anyone did somehow find out that she was a mermaid, there would be nothing stopping them from kidnapping her again and selling her to the highest bidder. The thought made him sick to his stomach, he still didn't understand how anyone could be so cold hearted but at the same time he knew there would always be people like that in the world.
Eleanor could have stayed up there all day long and she had been wanting to, until a voice broke through her concentration. Land had been seen, so she followed Liam down the rigging carefully as she didn't want to fall or get stuck. Once her feet touched the deck she hurried over to the railing, sticking her head out over the railing so she could see the land that was forming as the ship moved through the water. A wide smile broke out onto her face as her eyes took everything in, she had never even seen land before as her father never allowed her nor Velora to swim this far away from home. "It's beautiful," She whispered to herself before she turned and rushed over to where Liam was standing at the wheel of the ship.
"It's so close now, I can see a sandy beach." She was beaming as her shining eyes looked at the Captain, she had never felt this much excitement flow through her body before. She couldn't wait until she could explore the town, feel the grass and sand underneath her bare feet, meet all the different people and taste the food that they cooked. "Can the ship go any faster?" She asked as she couldn't wait much longer, she wanted to get onto the land as soon as possible.
However her comment only seemed to amuse Liam, apparently the ship couldn't go any faster otherwise they wouldn't be able to stop in time before crashing through the wooden dock and wreaking the ship.
