Hey everyone! I'm starting an NHL writing contest. If you would like to be in it, please comment below with a number from 1-60, and another number from 61-65. This will determine your team and player, and I will send you a copy of the rules and guidelines. This contest will go on for a while, because I'm not sure how long it would take to get people in on it. Rules are as follows.
To join the contest, simply leave a comment with a number from 1-60, and a second number from 61-65.
Also, to join, you must recommend the contest, so that we get more publicity. The deadline to register is April 1, 2014, or as soon as we have 60 participants. The deadline to submit your work is June 1, 2014*. The winners will be announced on August 1, 2014, or sooner.

Thanks once again to all of the contestants! I'm very confident that you've all written great stories! Today is the day! Hopefully by 12:00 AM PST I'll have all entries scored, and the results should be on here for everyone to see! :)
So, the results are in! I wanted to say first of all, there wasn't a bad entry in this contest, and I'd like to award 1st place to all of you. However, I've promised special prizes dependent upon the ranking your story is given, so without further or due, here are the final results!
5th Place: Ready As Ever by LDW Choice - http://www.mibba.com/Stories/Read/557203/Ready-As-Ever/
Winning Factors: It had very sweet and lovable characters, the grammar was good, and there was a perfect twist at the end.
Losing factors: This was the shortest story of all the entries for this contest. I really would have liked to see this turn into a multi-chapter story, because I think that the characters needed more development and I would have liked to see the aftermath. Also, I understand that the story takes place in the off season, but I would have appreciated seeing a little bit of ice time in there somewhere.
4th Place: Tangled Up In You by ducksflytogether - http://www.mibba.com/Stories/Read/558298/Tangled-Up-in-You/
Winning Factors: I really enjoyed the interaction between characters in this story. I felt it was really genuine, and I also enjoyed the mention of hockey in the story. I thought the grammar was good, and I enjoyed the custom layout as well!
Losing Factors: I thought it could have been a longer story, especially for the plot you put in it. I felt like the plot needed more development, and I would have liked to see a bit of Nick's relationship before the breakup.
3rd Place: Intervention Of The Heart by KingHankie - http://www.mibba.com/Stories/Read/556925/Intervention-of-the-Heart/
Winning Factors: I really enjoyed the length of this story. Although it was a one shot, it was much longer than most other entries, and I thought it took the perfect amount of time to read. I really like how you included the trade in the story, and I also think you did a great job of describing the characters. Also, it had a very cute ending.
Losing Factors: I thought that although the length was good, it was a little bit boring in certain parts, which turned me off of it a little bit. I think it's a good length, and there can totally be enough entertaining material to put in, but I think you may have tried to include a little too much about Lanie and Tyler, and not enough about Tyler's team, his adjusting to Dallas, ect.
2nd Place: Tales Of Online Dating.... Sort Of by midnightmssuki - http://www.mibba.com/Stories/Read/556891/Tales-of-Online-Dating-Sort-Of/
Winning Factors: I thought the plot of this story was completely genius, and I really liked the character development. I loved the way everything came together right in the middle, and I could really picture the entire thing going on in my head.
Losing Factors: The one thing I mentioned about this story, is that there wasn't quite enough of the story that took place at the rink, or on the ice. Other than that, I really liked it! :)
1st Place: Whatever It Takes by Margaritaville08 - http://www.mibba.com/Stories/Read/558498/Whatever-It-Takes/
Winning Factors: There are too many things to mention. I'm going to leave a massive comment on your story letting you know all the ins and outs of what I thought, but honestly there isn't enough space right here to say it all. I loved the story overall.
Thanks so much to all of the contestants, and like I said, I loved all of the stories! Thanks so much for entering, reading, sticking around, and I hope you had as much fun as I did! I'm hoping to run another contest similar to this one in the future, so stick around if you;re interested! :)
