Hunting for a Mate

[[Yup lets skip three days.]]

Lucy was sitting outside, looking at her pack as everyone began to wake up for the morning. Already she was feeling a lot better from the fight a few days ago. Now she felt good enough to go hunt with the rest of the pack. Lucy's tail moved back and forth as her ears popped up. Yes she was in a great mood

Sam stretched as he exited the cave. He was still a tad bit sore, but he didn't really care. All he knew was that he was free to move around... and free from that cavern. He shook out his fur, then spotted Lucy. With a wolfish grin he trotted to her, giving a playful nip to her shoulder, 'Good morning, little mate.'

((Sorry I keep disappearing... got food poisoning - again - last night and I'm still not better.))

Lucy glanced back at Sam before returning a wolfy grin. She turned her body and reached over, giving his muzzle a lick. 'Good morning.' Lucy told him happily. 'I was thinking about going on the hunt with the others. Do you want to come along at all? At the moment she was feeling much better but she didn't know what his condition was.

'Of course,' he responded, stretching again, 'It'll be my first hunt in what feels like forever.' Once their pack was all together he barked at them, starting the hunt. He bolted into the trees, feeling the freedom in the run.

Lucy followed Sam when he ran off. She stayed close to hm, running besides her mate once she knew where he was going. The rest of the pack continue to follow them until they came across a stag. Then everyone began to split off into their spots, beginning to circle around the animal.

Sam slowly crept up on the stag, crouching close to the ground. When everyone was in place he launched at the Stag, landing on it's back and sinking his teeth into it's neck. With the help of his pack the stag dropped to the ground, everyone holding it still until if finally stopped struggling and took it's last breath.

Lucy was one of the first to get up from the stag. She took a few steps, shaking her head, licking the blood from her muzzle. As the killers move out of the way the more heftier Wolves grabbed it with their teeth and start dragging the stag back to camp.

Sam knew that - while he wanted to help - carrying the stag back was a bad idea, so instead he walked beside Lucy, their fur brushing with each step. He reached his head out and nuzzled her a bit when the reached the main camp before heading to where the stag was, retrieving their pieces and bringing hers back to where she stood, 'Where would you like to eat?'

Lucy glanced around the camp before going over to the edge of the camp and laying down. It was a good place to relax and she could watch over everyone while she ate. 'Thank you Sam.' Lucy said as she reached over and took her piece of meat, beginning to dig in.

Sam smiled and finished his breakfast, licking his muzzle before turning and licking at hers, 'So, what do you want to do now that we're not forced to stay in the caves?' he asked, nuzzling into her, 'I feel like we've missed so much out here by being in there.'

Lucy softly laughed before she nuzzled back into him, staying close to Sam. 'I understand what you mean. We have missed a lot. Though as much as I want to have fun I am worried about the other tribe. We haven't heard from them in a while at all. Did they leave or are they just resting up?'

'I don't know,' Sam said softly, adding a sigh, 'Maybe we scared them off? I can send some wolves to go check it out, but that's not something I'm comfortable with. So I figure we wait a bit, then go check it out.'

'Youre right. We shouldn't send anyone else over there. We should wait and then maybe make our way another day.' Lucy said as she really snuggled into him. 'What adventures should we have today?'

Sam shrugged 'I'm thinking we go out for a run, go for a swim, and have wild monkey sex everywhere,'[i/] he teased, wagging his eyes brows.

Lucy bopped him lightly on the nose, a smile on her muzzle. 'Catch me if you can.' She told him before turning and running off into the woods. To her that sounded like a good day.

Sam grinned and chased after her, joy in his blood. She was smaller and sleeker than he was, but his longer stride ate up the distance faster than hers. It didn't take long before he was right on her tail. He gave a leap and launched into her, rolling them. He made sure he took the brunt of the hit before pinning her to the ground.

Lucy reached up and lightly brushed her nose against his. She then gently moved her feet under him and pushed him off before going Into a pounce stance, ready to play fight. Her tail was up in the air, moving this way and that.

Sam huffed, shook off his fur, and began circling around her. He made a lung to the right, then quickly shot at her from the left, running straight for a pounce.

Lucy moved out of the way quickly before he was able to jump on her. She then shifted onto her left foot and then jumped right on top of him. She rolled with him before attempting to pin her mate to the ground.

Sam struggled with her, rolling through the bushes. When they finally came to a stop she was over him with his back to the ground. He wrapped his paws around her neck and drew her closer to him, licking her cheek.
