Eyes Wide Open

  • (I just got home late last night, so yay, consistent wi-fi~ :3)

Mori eyed the duo with silent curiosity. He was, admittedly, surprised that Kiyomi had managed to recognize Haruhi and part of him worried that she might spill the secret. When she assured otherwise, though, he let himself relax. Though he'd usually be fairly cautious about believing that somebody would keep a secret as bit as that one, he found himself trusting Kiyomi. Honestly, he wasn't really sure why he trusted the girl so easily, but he didn't dwell on it.

"Well, now that you know the club's biggest secret, I suppose you might be showing up more often?" he questioned with an arched eyebrow as he looked down at her. Mostly, he was just curious to see if she would be around more or if she would go back to avoiding him - or, at least, he assumed it was that.
Kimi blinked several times, turning her attention to Tamaki as she thought over his question. At first, she was a little uncertain of how to answer since she hadn't been there too long. Still, she eventually smiled and offered a slight shrug. "I like it so far," she mused quietly, rocking back and forth on the soles of her shoes. Eventually, she made a face, though. "I wish the dress uniform wasn't so poofy, though."

Maybe poofy wasn't the right word to use as a description. If anything, the dress was insanely weird to her. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the bright yellow color of the fabric - or the way it was shaped. Okay, really, there was a lot wrong with it, in her opinion, but she didn't say anything else about it.

  • (Yay! :D I totally found a new picture of what Kiyomi looks like tehe here)

Kiyomi thought about what Mori had said before blushing slightly and avoiding eye contact "Maybe, between all my duties I think it'd be a nice break to have a cup of tea and a catch up with friends," Kiyomi smiled nervously, wondering why Mori was so interested in her hanging around more and if he maybe already knew that she had a crush on him. After what had happened earlier she wouldn't be surprised if by tomorrow all the girls in Ouran knew about Kiyomi's crush and the thought horrified her, all her hard work and respect as Vice-President would go out the window if rumors started going around thanks to fangirls.
Tamaki laughed, nodding his head "I'd have to agree with you on that, personally I have no idea what the board were thinking when they picked the colours and design, the male and female uniforms don't even match," Tamaki shook his head with a disappointed sigh, "You'd think with all the money our family make they'd be able to afford decent uniforms." He laughed again in amusement. Glad that Kimi was settling in at least.

  • (Aww, awesome! :DDD)

Mori found himself wondering who all she considered as friends in the club when she mentioned catching up with him. Obviously, Honey was. But, since she had said friends, he assumed she meant that she had more friends within the club. Was he considered as one? He wasn't even sure. Nodding slightly to her words, he offered her a small smile. "Well, we'd be glad to have you any time," he assured her, though it was much more genuine compared to how he had to act with the other guests.
Kimi grinned, rather thankful to hear that Tamaki agreed with her. Considering his father was the dean or whatever, she was a little worried that she might have offended him by mentioning the horrid dress. "You would think so. I think they just want to make us girls look unattractive, though, so that boys don't chase us down the hallways," she said with a slight shrug, though she couldn't help but wonder if that really was the case. Regardless, she didn't have much time to think over it because Kyoya came back.

  • When Mori mentioned being glad to have her back Kiyomi nodded, biting her lip she felt bad for avoiding him all the time, after all he was being really nice to her now and she didn't want to give him the impression that she hated him. She left quickly after that, shaking her head at herself and sighing.

She arrived at the committee room and for awhile after that she did more paperwork then went about doing her homework. She had to make sure she stayed on top of her studies and responsibilities or she'd get into a lot of trouble with her father. She arrived home late that evening but it wasn't anything new, she had no siblings and her mother had passed away a long time ago. Her father was often either shut up in his office or away on business trips. If Kiyomi was honest she didn't like being at home, it was lonely here.
Tamaki smiled and was about tell Kimi that the ugly dresses that the girls wear couldn't take away from their beauty no matter how horrible the dresses looked but Kyoya arrived back and Tamaki didn't want to risk being given an icy glare from his strict friend, after all Kimi was his little sister and lines shouldn't be crossed, right?

Tamaki watch Kyoya gather his things and announce they were leaving. Tamaki said his good byes, telling them both he's see them later before waving as they left. He turned around and grinned happily. Thinking about how lucky he was to have the host club as his family.

  • (Do you want me to just skip to the next day? Unless you were planning for something to happen on Kiyomi and/or Tamaki parts? xD)
    June 21st, 2014 at 11:26am
  • (Nope I can't think of anything so go ahead and skip tehe )
    June 21st, 2014 at 11:33am
  • (Okay~ I wasn’t sure if you’d rather the skip start before club, so I skipped it to just lunch so that they’d still be able to interact. :) If you want, though, I can edit it however you want.)

The next day had started off in its usual routine and Mori was rather thankful for the normalcy of it. It made things easier for him and by the time lunch came around, he was fairly hungry. His classes had him rather busy with work and it wasn’t something that he really wanted to deal with right now. Regardless, he looked to Honey, who was eagerly seeking out Kiyomi. “Do you think she’ll sit with us?” Honey asked cheerfully, looking up to the taller boy, who offered a slight shrug in response.

“She might. She seemed to have enjoyed herself yesterday,” Mori decided, though he wasn’t entirely sure. Still, Mori’s words gave Honey hope and he quickly began tugging Mori along in search of the girl in question. Mori couldn’t help but wonder if she was with other friends, though – that would make sense. If that were the case, there really wasn’t a need for them to interrupt. Honey didn’t seem to be bothered by that, though, and grinned when he spotted her, rushing over.
Kimi’s eyes scanned the cafeteria as she entered it. Making her way to the lunch line, she was thankful to see it fairly short, assuming she had gotten there a little earlier than most people. Pushing the thought aside, she simply got started on getting her lunch and, after paying for it, moved to find a seat. She wasn’t sure where her brother sat and part of her didn’t want to be a bother to him, so she moved to a random table and took a seat. Aside from Tamaki and her brother, she hadn’t really spoken to anybody at the school.

Partially because most of the girls were crazily obsessed with the guys in the club and partially because she was a little worried about annoying somebody with trying to befriend them. It was an easy thing for her to worry about, though she usually tried to ignore it. Either way, the thought was still there. With a sigh, she shook her head and started eating.

  • It was lunchtime now and Kiyomi and the President of the student council had just finished dealing with another issue. Letting out a sigh she rubbed the bridge of her nose as the President patted her back. "You'd think for a prestigious school such as Ouran Academy we wouldn't have as many issues." Kiyomi stated before she heard a familiar voice and was promptly tackled to the ground.

Kiyomi let out a squeal of surprise as she was sent sprawling to the ground in an unlady like manner and her school work sent scattering. "Kiyomi-chan you're going to have lunch with me and Takashi now right?" Kiyomi, unable to move merely nodded her head, not expecting a sneak attack from Honey.
Tamaki had been sitting down at his usual table, it was empty because Kyoya was busy with other matters and the rest of the club was doing their own thing, it was unusual that Tamaki was by himself but it was a nice change. There was also an unwritten rule that during school time fangirls respected the boys space and that was also another bonus.

Tamaki looked up for a second to spot Kimi looking like she was struggling to find a seat, smiling he held his hand up and called out her name, motioning her to sit with him, it helped that Kimi was Kyoya's sister because fangirls wouldn't think too much of his invite in case she was worried about it.

  • Seeing that Kiyomi had agreed to Honey's suggestion, Mori nodded slightly before leading the way to a table. "If you haven't gotten your lunch yet, you can join us afterwards," Honey mused happily, though he was tugging Kiyomi along with him as he followed after Mori. A grin filled the little blonde's features as he looked back towards Kiyomi. "We'll have a nice lunch, you'll see!"

Amusement filled Mori's features, only for a moment, before he went ahead and sat down. They already had their meals ready, so they had no need to wait to get anything. "That was the President of the Student Council, yes?" Mori qestioned quietly once Honey had finished dragging Kiyomi over. "Is everything okay?"
Kimi was surprised to see that Tamaki was inviting her over. She chewed on her lip for a moment, mentally debating it. Joining Tamaki would either be a very good idea or a very terrible one. Since Kyoya wasn't there, anybody that saw them might think that she was trying to get close to Tamaki. But, she also didn't really like the idea of eating alone.

After a few moments, she went ahead and stood up from her lone spot at the table she had originally been sitting at and moved to join Tamaki, forcing away her worries. With a smile, she took a seat and arched an eyebrow. "Ah, you must be bored without - ah, what did you call Kyoya? Mummy dearest, right?" she joked lightly, still fairly amused with the nickname her brother had received.

  • Kiyomi nodded her head "It's fine I bought home-made food again," Kiyomi loved to cook food or bake sweets, especially for Honey. Kiyomi had by now gathered her things and collected herself back up and was pulled after them.

When she took a seat she pulled her bento box out and turned to Mori, nodding her head slightly. "The film club turned up to the committee room and were causing a scene, the president told them they were being disbanded for not turning in their paperwork and they got angry" Kiyomi paused in her explanation. "It's fine now though, the film club are notorious for not doing their paperwork so I had done it the night before for them," Kiyomi smiled.
Tamaki watched Kimi struggle with deciding whether or not to join him and he waited patiently, when he saw her get up and come over he smiled, happy that she had decided to join him in the end.

Tamaki couldn't help but chuckle when Kimi mentioned how Tamaki would call Kyoya, mummy dearest. "It's alright, Kyoya has other work to attend to and it's always good to have breaks apart from people." Tamaki explained lightly.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 09:27am
  • Mori blinked several times at hearing that she had taken care of the film club's paperwork. He couldn't imagine somebody taking it upon themselves to do some other club's work, honestly, but he wondered if there was a point in mentioning that or not. Deciding against it, he nodded instead. "That's kind of you," he told her before turning his attention to his food.

Honey grinned back and forth between Mori and Kiyomi, wondering if Mori was attracted to the girl - for he already knew that Kiyomi had a crush on Mori. "Are you sure you're not putting more stress on yourself, Kiyomi?" Honey asked, playing innocent for now, though part of him wanted to question Mori.
Kimi smiled slightly at the mention of it and nodded in understanding. "I can't say that I blame you," she said honestly before she went ahead and took a bite of her food. Once she chewed it and swallowed the bits, she looked over towards him and grinned fairly broadly.

"Though, you know, if you wanted to have breaks away from people, it wasn't a very smart idea to invite me over," she joked lightly. "Either way, thank you." Because she definitely wasn't fond of the thought of having lunch alone. If she had managed to find her brother, she would have bothered him instead, but at least she was in the presence of his friend.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 09:35am
  • Kiyomi fiddled with her fingers and looked away in guilt at Honey's question. "Well, my doctors tell me I shouldn't be taking on so much work, but I love helping people," she laughed nervously and started eating her lunch. Kiyomi didn't have the best health, her immunity system was poor which often lead to her being bed-ridden.
Tamaki shook his head "When I was talking about breaks I meant the Host Club, I see them every day after school, most lunches and have classes with Kyoya," When Kimi thanked him he smiled but shook his head, "Don't worry about it, if you ever need anything then let me know, I'm always happy to help," Tamaki chuckled.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 10:21am
  • Her words fully caught Mori's attention, his gaze lifting to her as a frown tugged at his features. "Your doctors?" he repeated slowly, "Why did they tell you that?" Obviously, there was something that he didn't know and he couldn't help but to be worried about it, though he wasn't used to being worried about anybody outside of the host club.
Kimi nodded in understanding to his words. She supposed that spending so much time with the same people could get a little bothersome. The only people she ever spent so much time with were the members of her family, though. "Ah, I think Kyoya would prefer if I told him when I need something," she said honestly, "Plus I like bothering him every now and then."
    June 22nd, 2014 at 10:27am
  • Kiyomi was hoping to have her explanation looked over but when Mori asked she should have known Mori at least would pick up on what she had said. Giving a small nod Kiyomi laughed, waving a dismissive hand. "It's no big deal, I just don't have a very good immune system and get sick easily." Kiyomi stated, going back to her lunch before saying "They get worried that I overwork myself but it's fine really," she tried to reassure both Mori and Honey with a smile.
Tamaki pouted, feeling totally overlooked he gave her the puppy dog eyes "You know, since Kyoya is your brother that pretty much makes us family as well, so you can rely on me as well," Tamaki stated confidentially, patting Kimi on her head like a small child. Kyoya would just have to learn to share his sister, Tamaki inwardly declared to himself with a triumphant smirk.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 12:09pm
  • Her explanation didn't ease Mori's worries at all. "If your doctors don't want you to overwork yourself, then you should heed their advice," he told her quietly, his worry slightly lacing his tone, though he did attempt to hide it. Honey pouted slightly at the new information, eyeing her sadly. "Will you be okay, Kiyomi?" the small boy asked, a little worried that something horrible might happen to the girl if she wasn't careful enough.
"Ah, you know my family, right?" Kimi asked with amusement, arching an eyebrow before she eventually let out a quiet laugh. "I don't think you would want to be considered as family in that case, right? They're all dreadfully boring." It was always dull at home because all they ever talked about was business, which usually caused Kimi to hide away in her room. "Besides, if I'm the sister of mummy dearest, I'm assuming that would make you and I in-laws, since you're probably considered daddy dearest, hmm?"
    June 22nd, 2014 at 12:22pm
  • Mori's worry surprised Kiyomi, her eyes widened, before she glanced down at the rest of her lunch "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make others worry about me, I'll take better care of myself, I promise," she said, looking at both Mori and Honey. Kiyomi took Honey's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze "I'll be fine, pinky promise," she said smiling.

Kiyomi did her best to calm her beating heart, Mori was worried about her, did that mean he cared about her? But he probably only cared about her because Honey did, most likely. Kiyomi concluded in her thoughts but hoped the former was true.
Tamaki rolled his eyes at Kimi's statement about her family "Of course I know but still, you're in it and you're completely different from them," Tamaki pointed out with a laugh. Kimi was definitely not boring, not in the least. Tamaki found her interesting "Kyoya isn't boring either," Tamaki stated matter-of-factly.

Tamaki thought about the mummy and daddy statement and nodded his head "You're completely right Kimi, we'd be brother and sister in-laws, but that means we're still family!" Tamaki declared stubbornly, a silly grin on his face.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 12:39pm
  • Mori watched the two quietly and though Honey seemed fairly satisfied with the promise, Mori honestly wasn't. Kiyomi was too focused on helping others, after all, so he doubted that just making a promise to take better care of herself would prevent her from overworking herself if others needed her help with anything. He felt he had no right to mention that, though.

"Just take it easy," he eventually muttered, though his concern was still there. "If you need anything, though, you won't hesitate to ask, will you? It wouldn't be a very good feeling to know that you're putting yourself through so much work when we can offer our help any time."
Kimi couldn't help but to be amused, shaking her head slightly. "He's boring when he's at home, though," she said, letting out a quiet sigh as she finished up her food. She adored her brother, though; out of all her siblings, she was closest to Kyoya, whether Kyoya would admit it or not. Either way, her brother was practically her best friend.

She made a face, though, at hearing the mention of being brother and sister in-laws. "Well, as long as you and Kyoya don't go making out in front of me, everything's perfectly okay," she joked lightly, fairly amused with her own words.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 12:50pm
  • Kiyomi noticed Honey kept glancing between the pair with a sly smile on his lips before he stood up and declared he needed to use the restroom and that he'd be back in a jiffy. Kiyomi didn't get a word in as he ran away giggling manically, she turned back, a blush on her face when she realized her and Mori were alone, another perfect reason as to why she had been avoiding him.

When Mori spoke about asking them for help she blinked and thought about it before slowly nodding her head "W-well, this afternoon I have to go visit the public school down the road and have a meeting with the President of that school, t-to sort out a bullying issue, only they're notorious for being delinquents," Kiyomi knew it was a long shot and she didn't want to admit that she was nervous to go alone, but she was.
Tamaki could tell Kimi really loved her brother and it warmed his heart to see that, he didn't want to admit it but he was slightly envious that Kyoya had such an adoring little sister. "He's really lucky, to have a little sister like you, in fact, you're both lucky," Tamaki stated quietly, taking a sip of his tea.

"Sorry," he apologizing, realizing he probably shouldn't have said that, at least not out loud like that. Tamaki's face turned red at the mentioning of Kyoya and Tamaki making out, "we'd never do that in front of innocent eyes such as yours!" he paused realizing he meant at all and becomes flustered "i-i mean we wouldn't do that at all! period, nop, that's just wrong, how could you think that?! our relationship is strictly emotional." He stammered.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 01:26pm
  • Mori watched as Honey left, though he didn't buy that the boy merely planned on going to the restroom, especially with the giggle that came floating around them as he rushed off. Turning his attention back to Kiyomi, it took him a moment to realize that Honey's absence left the two of them alone together. It wasn't something he had quite expected, but he wasn't complaining about it.

He blinked when she mentioned the school and nodded after being informed of the delinquents. "Then I'll go with you," he decided firmly. "I don't think the President can handle delinquents on his own and you shouldn't have to deal with it without help that will actually matter if things turn bad."
Kimi blinked several times as she listened to him and she burst out laughing the moment he mentioned they wouldn't do such a thing in front of her. She hadn't even managed to hear the rest of his statement, too focused on his previous words. She couldn't help it; it was the most amusing thing she'd heard in a long time. Grinning broadly once she calmed down, she arched an eyebrow.

"That was a good laugh," she decided as she shook her head. "No need to get so flustered, Tamaki. I was merely teasing. With you getting so flustered about it, it almost makes you seem a bit guilty. Are you attracted to my older brother?" She smirked, clearly teasing him all over again; she couldn't help it.
    June 22nd, 2014 at 01:36pm
  • I rush of relief flooded over Kiyomi and she gave Mori a thankful smile, "I've heard it's the president himself that's the handful though, if it was a one on one meeting I wouldn't mind to much, but the guys that have been bullying some of our students will also be there," Kiyomi tsked in annoyance, wondering how she's gotten stuck with this job before remembering.

"Our President gave me the job to sort it out because I'm a girl and they wouldn't try anything on me, though I have my doubts," Kiyomi winced at the thought and looked away.
Tamaki's face got redder and redder when Kimi started howling in laughter, glancing around some people were beginning to look and whisper and he gave them nervous smiles before they go back to eating their own lunches. Tamaki shook his head and tried hushing Kimi.

"I'm not guilty!" Tamaki quietly hissed, horrified Kimi would think that, "I'm attracted towards beautiful females, such as yourself and only beautiful females." He added quickly.
