A Very Furry Love

Marie laid against his chest, finding it difficult to sleep at first. After all the full moon was still high in the sky and she was buzzing with energy. Though it was not energy that she would use for anything good at the moment...When the moon began to move down in the sky Aza was able to relax a bit until she was able to fall asleep in his arms. At least if anyone checked on them in the morning this would not be an odd sight...And Aza did not wake until later that morning.

Jordan made a slight face before nodding to her. There was no way any of them were going to change her. In fact no one had ever told her how they changed people. While she knew bits of it, like biting Alixx did not know the whole transformation and this was done on purpose. First of all it was too dangerous to change Alixx. Everyone would be devastated if something were to happen and it was more likely that she would die than she would change. Plus Alixx did not know just in case she tried to trick one of the younger ones to doing it. Also her not knowing somehow stopped the others from thinking about changing her. If it was a safe process Alixx would have become a werewolf a long time ago. "I don't care what you are and what you are not. I just want you to stay Alixx and if not here at least somewhere close by...."

Because of how long it took him to fall asleep, Lucas slept in until late the next morning. When he woke up, Aza was still curled into his side, his arm still around her. He didn't feel the intense pressure to be closer, to kiss her, though. And for that, he was glad. They would've been in serious trouble if it was some sort of lingering thing. So, he was able to relax, and just laid there and watched her for a bit while she slept. I still want to kiss her, he realized after a moment. It just wasn't all-consuming.

Alixx sighed softly. She could practically hear the pleading in his voice, and she already knew this conversation wasn't going to work out in her favor. Ever since she could remember, it seemed Jordan got whatever he wanted, at least when it came to her. She snuck off? He found her and made sure she was fine and brought her back home. He wanted her to stay? Alixx raked her hands through her hair. "Why do you care so much?" she finally asked him, softly. "I know everyone cares... but its ten times worse with you than the others. I don't think it's just because we've been friends so long either; I've been friends with Aza and Lucas just as long." she watched him. "So why?"

Aza woke up a little bit later than him but not by much. She opened up her eyes and looked up at Lucas with huge sleepy eyes. She closed them again, taking a moment to remember everything that had happened last night. When she opened up her eyes again she looked up at Lucas confused and concerned. She had no idea how to feel about everything that had happened. Though she was thankful that they stopped where they did. However how she felt about the whole situation and about Lucas she did not know.

Jordan froze a bit when Alixx asked him that question. It was not that it was rude or something to that matter. Though simply Jordan did not know why he did care so much. He knew that there had always been a stronger connection between the two of them but that was about it. He did not know why he was always worrying about her, always the one to take care of Alixx. He sighed a bit, his shoulders dropping before looking up at her. "Because your my best friend." He told her softly, thinking that it just had to be something like that. "And I have always been watching over you."

Lucas watched Aza as she woke up, frowning a bit at the look she had. "Are you okay?" he asked her softly, starting to reach out towards her, but then he stopped. He was glad they'd stopped last night, considering how different today felt. He wasn't sure how things would've gone if something had happened... He smiled wryly. "That doesn't look like hate, but I'm kind of worried about what you're thinking," he admitted. "So, what are you thinking?"

Alixx smiled a little at Jordan. "You don't look too sure," she said, then she shook her head. "It doesn't really matter though. I was just curious." She sighed and leaned back against the headboard of her bed. "Are you going to get mad if I say that I can't really promise you anything except that I'm not going anywhere for a while?" she asked. She smiled a little. "Because I already figure you aren't going to give up until you somehow convince me to promise to stay forever."

Aza was quiet for a moment, trying to figure out what to say and how to say it. She then let her breath go before speaking. "I don't hate you. It's just that I do not know how I feel at the moment. I am a little confused actually." Her arms slipped from around him and she began to rub her face before pressing her head back against his chest, letting out a small groan. "I mean I don't know if last night was a good thing or a bad thing. And I still don't know why that had happened and that doesn't help. How do you feel this morning?" Aza asked as she pulled her head back to look up at him.

"I am not going to be mad about it but I suppose it is something that I need to accept for now." Jordan said as he rubbed the back of his neck. He knew that they had a while before Alixx would leave so it was not something that he really needed to be panicking about. Plus he had remembered her saying that she was not even sure that she wanted to leave so he would use that to his benefit. So he had some time to try and convince her to stay or at least go to college somewhere close by. Like if she stayed in the state he might be okay.

Lucas shifted into a slightly more comfortable position, though that meant he had to shift Azza with him, one of his arms still around her. "I guess I feel... like I did a couple of days ago," he told her. "Except a little different..." He frowned. "My wolf isn't really affecting me anymore, but he wasn't after a while yesterday either.." he raked his hands through his hair. "I don't really know how I feel about this either, Aza, but... it... it felt right somehow; unlike anything else I've ever experienced."

Alixx nodded softly, glad that things seemed to be better, at least for now. "So then... are we good?" she asked. She was surprised honestly; it hadn't actually taken very long for them to talk things out, and they hadn't argued once or yelled or anything. And now that she was thinking of other things... "You woke up early on your own, and you aren't falling asleep standing up?" she blinked with a frown at Jordan. "Are you sick?"

Aza couldn't help but smile at his words. Plus as knew what he said was true. It was harder for wolves to lie to each other. Though Aza was still a little confused of her own feelings. "It really felt right yesterday." She told him gently. "And right now feels right too. But overall I am not sure that this is right. But to be fair we haven't really had a chance to think about it without our wolves..."

Jordan shook his head. "I didn't sleep last night or this morning." He was too worried about all of this too really get any sleep. Though now that things between them were calm he was ready to curl up in his bed and stay there for a few hours. "And yes I think that we are good. At least I don't know why we wouldn't be."

Lucas nodded to Aza. "I know what you mean," he told her. He chewed on his lips, wondering what they should do. "Do you want to... Just pretend nothing happened or maybe try to see what is or isn't between us?" He asked. "And since the full moon is in another month, there shouldn't be any pressure from our wolves for a while."

Alixx shook her head at him a little, but smiled a little. She was glad that they were good again. "Okay," she said. She leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "You should go get some sleep though," she said as she pulled back with a yawn and stretched. "Besides, we both know how you get when you don't sleep," she teased.

"I don't think that we should tell the others. I feel like that would be a bad idea honestly." She said as she pursed her lips a little bit. "I think maybe what is best is that we just relax for a few days and see if this is something that we actually want to do." Aza thought it would be best if they just tried to figure it out without the pressure of their wolves and the moon. Because right now she rather wanted to kiss him but that may not be the case in a few days. And since they were in the same pack and they were both alphas it was better to be careful. Even more so since her father was in charge and he was next in line...

"I will see you in a few hours then." Jordan said before he pushed himself off of the bed and headed back to his room. He was exhausted and all he wanted to do was sleep for a while. Once he was back in his room with the others he shifted into his wolf form and moved onto his bed, closing his eyes.

(I think we should probably skip to the ski vacation. What do you think?"

Lucas was sitting in the front of the car, giving Aza the directions to the cabin for the ski trip. They'd been sent the address and he had a print out of a google map in his hand. "Turn right just up here, then take the second left and we should be on the driveway to the cabin," he instructed.

Alixx had just about decided by this point that Aza wasn't meant to drive on mountain roads. She had a death grip on the handle above her window. She felt better by the fact that Jordan looked mildly afraid at all, even if Lucas appeared perfectly calm, and she hoped there wouldn't be a lot of driving done during this trip. Because if there was... She was sure she would die. "Since we're close, maybe we should slow down a little?..." She suggested mildly.

Aza was speeding on the mountain roads, making wide turns and everything. She knew the two in the back were mildly frightened though she and Lucas were completely fine up front. "If I slow down it will take longer to get there." She said calmly. Though she held onto the wheel a bit tighter. She and Lucas had not talked about how they were feeling at all since the full moon a week ago. At this point it was getting a little stressful since neither of them knew where they stood with the other. However she knew what she wanted to do now and she knew that it was what she actually wanted. All she wanted to do was talk it out with Lucas but that would be a bit difficult on the trip... Aza then spun into the driveway, somehow managing to park perfectly as she did so. There was also another car, which were their three friends used to get here.

The moment the car stopped Jordan launched himself out of the car. Aza was a fucking crazy on those mountain roads and he knew he was going to try and get Lucas to drive them back. The only reason he hadn't made them let him out to just run here was because he id not want to leave Alixx in the car with Aza. After taking a few deep breaths Jordan began to grab the bags in the car to bring them inside. He turned to Alixx once she got out. "Are you okay?" He asked her with a half smile. He knew that she was completely flipping out the moment they got on the mountain.

"Nice parking," Lucas commented as Jordan leaped from the car. He was surprised really that she'd managed to park so straight going so fast. Things felt slightly awkward between them seeing as how they hadn't talked since the full moon, but they were going on as if nothing had happened for the most part.

Alixx was the second person out of the car, shortly after Jordan. She took some of the bags from him and started to help. "Yeah, now that I can feel the ground underneath me again," she told him and shook her head. "Promise me we will not let Aza drive back."

Aza looked over at Lucas for a moment before giving him a little smile. "Thanks." She said before getting out of the car. Maybe she should just talk to him about it sometime on the vacation, maybe even today? This was something that she really wished to get sorted out between them. It was too awkward at the moment and even if he didn't want feel the same way it had to be better than what they were doing now right? She let out a small sigh, wondering this before going to grab her bags from the back of the car. That was when she heard Alixx. "My driving was not that bad. You're here alive and it only took us an hour to get here."

Jordan raised an eyebrow at Aza before turning to Alixx. "No we are not letting her drive back." He said plainly. "And Aza you're a great city driver but I would never put you on a mountain road again." At the moment he was not in the mood to put it lightly. "Lets just have Lucas drive us back. The parking was good but the mountain was just terrible." He then began to head inside with the bags that he was holding.

Lucas sighed softly. Conversation seemed to be kept to a minimum, and no matter how he tried to not let it bother him, it still did. He didn't know why he wouldn't just do something already except that maybe he was waiting for her to let him know what she wanted... And it was killing him. He'd just gotten her back as a friend, and already things seemed bad again. Lucas got out of the car, then helped everyone get all the bags inside.

Alixx smiled sympathetically at Aza. "Sorry Az," she said. "But on the mountain, you scare me. I thought you were going to kill us on that one turn..." She shook her head, as if trying to dislodge the memory, then took in the bags she was carrying. She looked at Jordan and tipped her head. "You okay?" She asked. "I can't remember the last time you were shaken up by something."

Aza stayed back with Lucas when Alixx and Jordan headed to the cabin. She stopped and turned to Lucas, looking at him for a moment before beginning to speak. "Can we talk? Probably not now but I want to talk about everything soon." She said softly, hoping that he was ready to tell her what he had been thinking about the whole situation. Though that exact moment probably was not the best. "Maybe later when everyone was sleeping would be better but..." Aza let out a small sigh before waiting for his answer.

"I am okay but Aza's driving scared the hell out of me." He said before letting out a weak laugh, trying to play it off. When thy got to the door, their friends opened it and began to usher them inside and then to where the bedrooms were. There were not enough rooms to have their own but there were two rooms for the boys and two rooms for the girls. Plus there was the couch if someone couldn't handle all the talking that was probably going to happen throughout the night.

Lucas decided to be optimistic and view it as a good thing that Aza wanted to talk, and he nodded. "Sure; later works," he agreed. "How about we meet out on the front porch after everyone goes to bed?" After she agreed, he smiled a little and paused before kissing her cheek lightly and then heading inside where the others were.

Alixx never got the chance to respond as she was ushered in a room. She would be bunking with Aza apparently, which she definitely didn't mind. So she brought their stuff into the room, or what she had of it. The bags were all jumbled up and she had something she knew was either Jordan's or Lucas'. So she went to find one of the boys, ending up nearly running into Jordan. "Is this your bag or Lucas'?" She asked, holding it up.

Aza smiled brightly once Lucas' back was turned. She was rather pleased about the kiss but she didn't want to seem like she did just in case. After taking a few moments to straighten her face back out she headed into the cabin and was quickly ushered into her room. Aza looked around before setting her things down on the other side. Aza had made sure to grab her things when she went into the back of the chair. Once that was done she went into the living room where their friends were.

Jordan looked down at the bag before taking it from here. "It's Lucas'." He said before taking the bag and bringing it to his and Lucas' room. When he came back out he headed into the living room with the others. The house was warm, especially since a fire was going in the fireplace. Outside it was snowing and apparently it was the type of snow that was perfect for skiing or snowboarding. Jordan plopped himself down on the couch, leaning back and relaxing.

Lucas took in the rest of the backs and put them where they needed to be before joining everyone else. The living room was starting to look packed with the number of people, four humans -Alixx, Mark, Rachel, and Seth- and three werewolves -himself, Jordan, and Aza. It was a fair sized group but manageable. Lucas ended up sitting on the couch, between Jordan and Aza somehow. Rachel was sitting in a chair, Mark in the only other chair, while Seth lounged near the fireplace. The three were talking about the snow and how tomorrow was going to be good for skiing and such.

By the time Alixx came in the room, all the seats appeared to be taken, and rather than sitting on someone, she just headed over and plopped down onto the floor, deciding Seth had a good idea by sitting by the fire. Everyone seemed to be in an animated conversation about the snow and how fun this trip was going to be. "By the time we're finished, I'm going to have snow in places I never want snow, aren't I?" she asked with a rueful smile at one point when Mark started talking about his first time skiing and how much he had fallen.

Aza glanced over at Lucas as he sat down next to her. She pulled we legs up a little bit before leaning against him slightly. Now that she knew they were going to talk tonight she was feeling a bit better about the whole situation. Once all of the talk about skiing was over, the oven beeped, telling them that it was time for dinner. Aza then got up and headed over to help Mark.

"Alixx I am sure that you won't be too bad at skiing." He said with a chuckle as he leaned farther back into the chair. Once the oven beeped his stomach began to growl. Oh he certainty hoped that they made enough for all of then. Jordan turned to those who stayed in the living room. "How was everyone's break?" Seth spoke about how well his had been so far. His family had just gotten back from a vacation before he went up here.

Lucas was a little surprised as Aza leaned into him a bit, considering how the past week had been, but he was glad for it as well. It gave him some hope that things would be good between them soon. Still, he was wondering how their talk later tonight was going to go; what she was going to tell him. After a few days to see what happened had turned into a week of awkwardness...

Alixx snorted softly at Jordan's reassurance. Maybe she wouldn't be too bad, but she'd still probably fall a few times and if it was snowing, she would still be completely soaked with snow by the end of the day. She'd never understand how people lived in the mountains where it was always like this -it made no sense to her. As the conversation moved on though, she just sat back and listened. It was easier to relax anyhow, since she and Jordan were good again, and she was definitely glad for it.
