A Very Furry Love

  • Aza headed to her next class and then the classes after that until it was lunch. She headed into the lunch line and grabbed her food before heading to the table that they normally sat at. A few others that were not pack came and sat with them too. Of course they all had friends that were non pack members. However a pack was a special bond which was why they stuck together when they could. Aza waited for the others to come as she talked to one of the guys.
Jordan was the next pack member to sit at the table. His plate was overloaded with food but it always was. He ate a lot and that was because he was both a wolf and a teenager. So Jordan began to stuff his face, eating his food as they others began to sit down. Once Alixx was there, he swallowed his food and smiled up at her. "Did you get to class on time?" He asked her with a small smirk.

  • Lucas sat down across from Jordan at the lunch table. All the wolves generally ate more than the humans, but man could Jordan eat. He always seemed to get as much as he could manage, maybe a little more. It amazed everyone how the guy never gained any weight from it. "Looks like the whole gang is here," he commented with a smile as Alixx arrived.
Alixx rolled her eyes at Lucas' comment, not bothering with a response as she stole a fry from Jordan. "No, I didn't get there on time, but if the school calls Laurel, you're the one who'll have to deal with her, not me," she informed him as she stole another fry. Her voice didn't sound angry or disgruntled but conversational.

  • Aza glanced over at Lucas for a moment before looking down at her plate. She began to eat her food as the humans talked about winter break and Alix and Jordan began to talk about Laurel. At the moment she did not know what to say about winter break. She had talked to them about it quite a lot. And since Lucas was named next in line they did not talk much anymore unless it was about stupid things like the weather or whatever.
"I think she will understand once I tell her that you pushed me into the snow." He said with a slight smirk. Jordan knew that was twisting the truth. However he doubted that the school would call Laurel and even if they did it was unlikely she would be upset about Alixx being five minutes late to class.

  • Lucas noticed Aza spaced out and not participating in any conversation really. He was at least talking to the others, but as he noticed her, he felt his wolf trying to tell him something. He sighed and nudged her a little. "You still with us, Az?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Gotta do better than that if you want something to do during winter break."
"I didn't push," Alixx said, shaking her head at him. "I jumped on your back. You're just a weak little wolf boy who can't handle little ol' me and her weight," she teased with a grin, knowing full well that he had carried her halfway across the school earlier. Alixx had been eating her own lunch but paused to take another one of his fries. "These things are really good."
    December 8th, 2013 at 03:23am
  • Aza looked up, coming back to the conversation that was happening. "Uh what?" She said before nodding, realizing what he said. "Oh yeah. Mark, Rachel and I were talking about going skiing yesterday. Mark's parents have a cabin that's about an hour away and they said that we can go seeing over a weekend." Aza told Lucas. Mark nodded to them. "Yeah I was going to bring it up. If you guys want we can go to it this weekend." Winter break started in two days and they had a long break.
"Yeah they are." Jordan said as he reached over and took her chocolate chip cookie. "And so is this." He said with a smirk before taking a bite out of it. "This is payment for the fries that you keep taking from me." Then he finished the rest of the cookie before going back to his own food.
    December 8th, 2013 at 03:31am
  • Lucas thought about that, the time period and blanched. This weekend was the full moon. "thanks, but we're busy this weekend. There are some... Distant relatives visiting and we have to be there. Maybe next weekend?" He suggested. A wolf would be able to tell he was lying but hopefully these guys wouldn't. It was a good cover story for not being able to do something because of the full moon.
"Good thing I keep an extra cookie in case you steal mine," Alixx commented as she took yet another fry. She was faintly listening to the conversation at hand, and knew what Lucas' story was to cover up for. "Yeah; it's going to be really boring," she chirped in.
    December 8th, 2013 at 03:48am
  • Aza looked up at him in slight confusion before making a face. She had forgotten the full moon. Last night she had meant to check when the idea of going skiing was brought up but she had forgotten to. "Yeah I forgot about them. Sorry, can we go up the weekend after?" She asked Mark.
He gave him a light smile. "Yeah we can go up the weekend after. It actually might be better because it is suppose to snow some more during that week." Mark said before looking up at Aza. "Do you guys even know how to ski?
Aza shook her head. "No but we are fast learners."
Jordan was not fully listening to the conversation nor did he know that there was a full moon that weekend. So he looked over at Alixx with a confused look on his face. "Wait who is coming next weekend? Guys did I miss a family meeting again or what?" He asked before looking up at Lucas and Aza to answer his question too.
    December 8th, 2013 at 03:58am
  • Lucas shook his head at Jordan and sighed. 'full moon this weekend,' he communicated. Outwardly though, he nodded. "Yeah, you were probably sleeping while we had that meeting," he said, shaking his head. "I think all you do is sleep, eat, and roughhouse will Alixx," he teased.
Alixx frowned at Lucas. "Hey! I roughhouse with everyone," she argued with him. It honestly wasn't just Jordan. Besides, she had to learn how to fight and take care of herself since she was in the middle of wolves. She had lessons every afternoon.

  • "I remember because everyone was downstairs talking about what we had to get done before they came and Lucas was in the back, snoring away." She then smiled over at the humans. "You know, what he does during class too." They then let out a laugh and everything became easy once again. Aza then leaned back into her chair a bit, pushing her tray away as she did so.
Jordan chuckled as he threw an arm around Alixx's shoulder, pulling her into his shoulder before leaning over and messing up her hair. "Yeah she sure does, Alixx is a real fighter." He teased, a large smirk on his face as he continued to mess with her hair. This was quite a bit of fun for him.
    December 8th, 2013 at 04:23am
  • Lucas was glad that was resolved. "So, what all are we gonna do besides ski, up at that cabin?" He asked conversationally, since everything was back to normal. The already had permission to go, whenever it would be, so at this point it was just finalizing details for them.
Alixx mock-growled at Jordan as he messed up her hair. Someone commented that she sounded a lot like a wolf and it was cool, and she pursed her lips for a moment, knowing of course why it sounded wolf-like, but then she smiled and thanked them, commenting that she had a lot of practice, having to be fierce with so many boys around. She elbowed Jordan, leaning away and flattening her hair, more habit than anything. "Wait until after school. We'll see who gets who," she grinned at him.
    December 8th, 2013 at 04:35am
  • "Sometimes we go exploring in the woods up there. But besides skiing there are plenty of things to do in the cabin. Like games, movies, talk and there is also a town near by." Mark said before looking over at Jordan with a large grin. "Plus we can sleep and eat there."
Aza softly laughed at Mark's comment. It was somewhat true of what Jordan was going to do with his break. The boy really did like to eat a substancal amount of food and he slept like nobody's business.
"Sounds like a great weekend to me!" He told Mark with a large smile before turning back to Alixx. Mark reached over and lightly poked her on the forehead. "I am not afraid of you." He then messed up her hair a bit before dropping his hands. Before Alixx could do much, he got ont his feet, grabbed his, and Alixx's tray before walking away.
    December 8th, 2013 at 04:44am
  • Lucas laughed. "Well, sounds like the perfect vacation to me!" He said. They would all probably end up sleeping on the living room floor or something, but it wouldn't bother any of the wolves, he knew. They actually preferred each others' company, rather than sleeping alone; all except Alixx really.
Alixx shook her head at Jordan. She knew he wasn't scared of her in the least of course, but did he have to make it publicly known? She was distracted then by Rachel's giggle after Jordan had scooped up her tray with his and headed to throw them away. "Are you sure you guys are related?" She asked Alixx. "If I didn't know better, I would think Jordan likes you." The girl waggled her eyebrows.
    December 8th, 2013 at 04:57am
  • "We're not related." Aza said rather quickly. She had no idea who told Rachel that but it was a pretty bad lie since they were all the same age, in the same grade. Plus all of the others that were in their pack, that was just a huge family and it was unlikely to have that many people who were immediate family. No that cover story was not good nor was it the one that they agreed on. She ran a hand through her hair. Also her father had told her not to tell others that they were family. There was a strong possibility that one of them got together with someone from the pack. If everyone thought they were related and they did mate well that would be wrong on so many levels. "My father watches over all of us and we live in the same house but we are not all related. My father watches over several families because of certain circumstances. For example one of the two of the smaller kids that live with us. Their parents travel a lot because of work and other reasons. So my father takes care of them while their parents are gone."
    December 8th, 2013 at 05:12am
  • Lucas coughed, sputtering a little as Rachel mentioned them all being related. They were pack, not family... That was just wrong on so many levels, and they had never told anyone they were related. They were all just close, and tended to stick together. Aza recovered quickest and managed to let them know they all weren't related though. He shook his head while she did. "Is that what you guys all think- that we're all related?" He asked.

Alixx had much the same reaction as the others. Except maybe a little different.. "Geez, we're just best friends, Rachel!" She shook her head. "I grew up with these guys. We aren't family but Jay and I might as well be." Actually, Alixx was probably the only one of them that wasn't related to anyone at all.

Rachel blanched as all three of them rounded on her. "Gosh guys, sorry. You can't blame me- you all ride the same car, practically live together, and a lot of people think a lot of you are adopted... I mean, we know Alixx is.."
    December 8th, 2013 at 05:22am
  • "Don't worry about it Rachel. We just don't want to trick you into thinking that we are related." Aza gave her a soft smile before pointing to Lucas. "I mean do you think I really want others thinking that I am related to this guy? Think about all of the crazy things that he has done on a daily basis." She was kidding of course. Right now she was just trying to ease the tension and she knew that Lucas wouldn't mind all that much.
Jordan then came back and sat at the table. Something seemed a bit odd but not enough for him to say anything about it. So he leaned back into his seat. He glanced over at Alixx and smiled widely at her. "What's going on here?"
    December 8th, 2013 at 05:30am
  • Lucas grinned. "Like a ten mile run this morning before school," he offered up. He'd run longer of course, but he doubted they would even believe he'd ran before school at all, so he didn't bother trying for accuracy. He was just trying to help Aza. He didn't want them thinking they were all related any more than she did.
Alixx shook her head at Jordan and gave him a look that said "you don't wanna know." "Nothing," she said instead. "Just a miscommunication."

Rachel, being Rachel, tipped her head. "Well, if you guys aren't related, then what's with that reaction?" She demanded of Alixx. She looked straight at Jordan then, unable to leave well-enough alone. "Do you or don't you had a crush on her?" She demanded, hooking a finger directly and unmistakably at Alixx.
    December 8th, 2013 at 05:35am
  • Aza was a little shocked by Rachel's insistance on this. Though at the same time she was curious of how Jordan was going to answer. So their conversation went to the wayside as she looked over at Alixx and Jordan, waiting for his answer.
"Why are you asking me that?" Jordan asked her with a raised eyebrow. He wasn't being self defensive about it. Though he wanted to know what was up and why someone would even want to get into his personal business anyways. "Either way that has nothing to do with you does it? So if I don't like her things stay the way they are right? If I do like her then I don't know if she likes me back then we start dating. I am not sure that affects you either and therefore why would you want to know?" Jordan was honestly confused about the whole thing so he wasn't being snotty about it.
    December 8th, 2013 at 05:44am
  • Lucas raised his eyebrows at Rachel and her insistence as well. Jordan did take him a bit by surprised with his method of answering as well, and he smiled a little. Way to go, he thought privately.
Rachel, however, looked a little put off by Jordan's answer. She ended up sighing, having no good answer to his question, and ended up sitting back without saying anything. Meanwhile, the table had gone strangely quiet and Alixx found herself shaking her head at it. "Well, don't you guys look happy about something?" She quipped, rather sarcastically. "I know what'll cheer you up! I'll sing a song!"

Jordan glanced back and forth between Rachel and Alixx, still not understanding what brought this up and why Rachel wanted to know. So instead of having to just sit through this silence, he stood up. "I am going to the bathroom. Besides the bell is going to ring in two minutes." He said before leaving the table.
Aza let out a small sigh before getting up. "I am going to put my tray away." She then headed over to dump it out. Just as she did so the bell rang, telling them to head to their next class.

  • Alixx sighed at Rachel as Jordan left the table. "Now you went and scared my friend away," she shook her head. Seeing the guilty look the girl had though, she gave her a small smile. "Don't worry about it. He's fine, I'm sure," she said. As the bell rang, she gathered up her things and headed to her next class.
The bell rang, catching Lucas by surprise, and he had to hurry to take his tray up and then get to class. The afternoon classes passed pretty quickly and soon he was in the parking lot, waiting on everyone. Aza had the keys and was going to get the little ones, so he just leaned against the car.
