Abby felt like she couldn't breath as her heart pounded in her ears, she had just left the store where her sister Jessica worked. Apparently her sister had already gone on her lunch break and had gone to her usual spot in a park just down the street, Abby has had a bad feeling in her gut since this morning but of course Jessica simply told her not to worry about it and that everything would be fine. She moved towards the park as fast as she could without making herself look like someone who needed a psych ward, once she reached the park the beautiful red hair of her sister was the first thing she saw. Slowing down to a walk Abby made her way over to her sister.
"Jess... you have no idea how scared you just made me" She puffed out seeing that her sister was completely fine and was eating her lunch alone, "I had another vision and..." She trailed off before a loud clap of thunder rumbled through the sky, which was strange considering the sky was bright and sunny. Suddenly an invisible force pushed both Abby and Jessica apart before a quick flash of lightening touched the ground between them, "Jessica run!" Abby screamed to her sister having seen the ending to what was happening right in front of them, she needed to make sure that her sister was safe and unharmed.

    -

Loki had been watching the McDowell sisters for quite some time now and knew which one would benefit him the most, at first he wanted Abby as she had the power but than he noticed Jessica who had stayed normal after the accident they had together. He knew just the way to overthrow the Avengers now and Jessica was the key to that, so he traveled down to Earth which he couldn't stand because he still wasn't the ruler. He arrived in the park and gave his guard a nod so that Abby wouldn't get in the way of his master plan, he grinned as he watched Jessica stand up from the ground and brush off any dirt.
"I am sorry for making that entree but there was no other way, my name is Loki and you will be coming with me" He spoke only to the red headed girl, he watched as his other guard wrapped his big muscular arms around the girl so she couldn't escape. A smug smirk spread over his face when his blue eyes landed on a black SUV that has just pulled up not too far from them, he knew instantly it was the Avengers trying to come save the day which he wasn't going to let happen. "Let her go, we don't need her" Loki said before tapping the end of his staff into the dirt ground while Abby was pushed backwards, in a second Loki and his two guards and Jessica were pulled upwards in the portal as another flash of lightening crackled around a crying Abby.

Jessica had left a little earlier for her lunch break wanting to enjoy the warmth of the sun. Normally her and her sister would have lunch together but after the accident it rarely happened anymore. Jessica was munching on a carrot stick when she heard her sisters voice. Turning her head she saw her light brown hair blowing in the wind, Abby was rushing toward her out of breath so when she spoke her words were interrupted by heavy breaths. When Abby mentioned her another vision Jessica quickly got to her feet and began to walk toward her. The visions were getting worse for Abby and there was nothing Jessica could do to help her, all she could do was be there for her and let her talk if she needed to. Jessica was caught off guard by a loud clap of thunder, ceasing her movements she looked up. A bolt of lightening streaked through the sky hitting the ground mere inches from the red heads feet. Jessica heard her sisters voice tell her to run but she was too startled to move. She didn't really have time to register what was going on, all she saw was a black haired male standing in front of her before she was grabbed by someone else and was suddenly sucked into what she could only describe as a porthole.
Steve jumped out of the black SUV cursing at the fact that they had only missed the God of Mischief by mere seconds. "We're too late he's got them," he spoke to Natasha who was stepping out beside him.
"No," she spoke, "he only took one of them, that one there, that's Abby McDowell," the red haired assassin pointed out nodding her head in the direction of the sobbing girl.
Steve was quick to jump into action he ran up to the young girl who was in hysterics tear tracks covered her younger face. "Are you alright Miss?" he asked keeping it professional.

It wasn't long until Loki and his guards were flown through the porthole and their feet touched back down in the place he was calling home now, he was still in Asgard but he had decided to build himself his own little Kingdom on the outskirts of Asgard so he could be planning his take over in peace and quiet. He shooed the guards away knowing this young girl couldn't do anything to him now so he didn't need the protection, "Hello Jessica McDowell, it's a pleasure to finally meet you" He said as his clear blue eyes focused on the red head that was standing in front of him, confusion was written across her face as she took in her new surroundings.
"I am Loki and you are here to help me, if you do not help me than I will send my guards after your sister" He threatened her knowing how close the sister's were, he wouldn't think twice about having Abby taken care of as it would allow him even more power once he over took the world. If she wasn't around to see what he was planning than he wouldn't have to worry about her telling people what she had seen, he didn't speak for a few moments to let all of this information stick inside the girl's mind.
Abby had pushed herself to her feet just as the portal had closed and she wasn't able to get in, she sat down on the bench where Jessica's lunch and bag were still there. Sobs racked her body as tears rolled down her cheeks, she didn't even know who this Loki guy was or how a portal like that even existed. After the accident she felt like a freak and still did, so for a while she ignored any vision that she had but when she saw that Jess was going to be kidnapped than she couldn't ignore the vision. She barely heard the male voice as she stared up at the sky where the porthole had once been, she didn't know what to do without her sister who was her rock.
"He took her... why would he take her" Abby mumbled softly mainly to herself, she hadn't noticed an older man walked up behind the man who had spoken to her. "We need to take her back to Fury now" Tony Stark said to Steve knowing that this girl needed their protection and help, he gently placed his hand on the young girl's arm knowing if she made a scene than they'd have to pick her up and carry her. Abby frowned feeling a hand on her arm before she pulled away, she grabbed Jessica's bag and stood up from the bench as she wanted to run.

"Abby," Natasha spoke, she saw that the brown haired girl was about to run and they couldn't have that, they needed her, they couldn't have Loki coming back and taking her with him. The red haired woman kept her tone gentle as she walked up to her restraining herself from touching the scared girl. "Abby we need you to come with us, we won't hurt you." Natasha saw the girls hesitance and tried her hardest to coax her into coming with them. "If you come with us I promise we will return your sister to you." Abby was about to speak but Natasha silenced her knowing what she would have said. "The man who stole your sister, he's Loki, the god of Mischief, Thor, his brother, he works with us and I am sure he will help us get Jessica back, but in order for that to happen you need to come with us now... please," Natasha watched the girl intently waiting for her answer.
Jessica's experience in the porthole came to a sudden stop, the spinning ceased and the vortex of colours disappeared from around her, if it hadn't been for the two burly men holding her upright she would have fallen over. Once she had regained some of her senses back she looked around at her surroundings and she knew that she wasn't home, she was somewhere else. Her time to take in her surroundings came to an abrupt stop when the man who had kidnapped her spoke. The holds on her arms disappeared as the two men walked away leaving her in the presence of the dark haired male.
"Where am I?" out of all the things the red head could have asked she asked that. Not Don't even think about going after my sister or I would rather die then help you.

Loki chuckled softly to himself as he expected the young girl to yell and scream at him about threatening her sister's life, although she hadn't done so as of yet. "This is my home Asgard, no we aren't anywhere near Earth so you can't even try to escape. All you can do is help me with my plans, which I will force you to do if you refuse" He told the girl bluntly not caring if she was scared as he never thought much about people's feelings and emotions, he wouldn't even know what to do if she started to cry because he had become so cold hearted now that his brother Thor had their father's hammer. Thor had always been the golden boy in the family while Loki never felt like he actually fitted in with his 'family', so he left them to have his army of monsters who filled the space for any family that he could have had in his life.

    -

Abby stood there looking at the beautiful red head woman who spoke to her, she was still confused and scared considering everything she had just witnessed. "I'll only go with you if you promise to get my sister back from that guy, how do you even know me?" She asked letting her eyes moved onto the two men that were also standing near her, the first one who had spoken to her was quiet attractive. She pushed that thought away as she needed to focus on getting Jessica back from wherever she was right now, "Where did he take her?" She had no idea about the Avengers or what they did to protect the world, she had no idea about the Hulk or Iron Man so her mind couldn't think straight after seeing that porthole which caused her sister to disappear.

"We promise to get your sister back, but for now we need to get you to come with us then we can explain everything to you," Natasha stated, the red head didn't want to risk standing out in the open like this much longer in case Loki decided to come back for the girl he had missed. "Please, this way," Natasha lead the brown haired girl toward the car. "Abby we know about you because we have been keeping track of you for a while..." Natasha began as they all stepped into the SUV, "We know about your abilities... from the accident." there was silence in the car as Natasha paused seeing the way the young woman's face twisted in discomfort. Looking at Steve, she thought now might be a good time for him to take over, she didn't want to be the one who had to tell her everything.

"Abby, you're sister, Jessica, does she have any special abilities like yourself?" the brown haired superhero asked?" he looked at the blonde awaiting an answer. He decided he would let Thor do the honor of telling the poor girl where Loki had taken her sister.

    ~

Jessica quirked one of her brows at the raven haired super-villain, Asguard, where had she heard that name before. The red head racked her brains for an answer a connection as to why the name sounded so familiar.

    Asguard...

    Loki...

    ASGUARD!

    LOKI

"Oh my god!" she gasped as realisation sunk in and she realised why the name sounded so familiar. Asguard of Norse Mythology, Loki the Norse god of Mischief. As in the brother of Thor and the God who wrecked havoc on the Earth opening a portal and letting other creatures into the world she lived in. "You're... You're... you're HIM! she exclaimed taking several steps back, "You're the God who wrecked havoc in America..." Jessica's heart began to beat erratically, her breaths getting faster. This wasn't good, she needed to clam herself to stop herself from having an Asthma attack.

Loki smiled widely when the young girl seemed to know exactly who he was, which meant last time he tried to take over America he had at least left his print there. "Yes you do know me, that's very good. This is going to work out so much smoother now, you see I was going after your sister but than I found out about you. How you weren't affected in the accident, I'm going to be changing that" He smirked not caring if Jessica didn't want anything he was planning to happen to her, because he had already made up his mind in what he was going to do.

"I'm not sure if this is going to hurt or not, but we'll find out once we start. You won't be leaving from here for a very long time, you won't be doing anywhere near your sister or family" He told the girl who was clearly still taking everything in that he was saying to her, not that he was giving her any time to process what he had told her. "There isn't any way that you can escape from me, so don't bother trying or I will hurt your family" He warned needed to keep her close so she'd to what he said, once she had a power he'd send her back down to Earth so she could start the master plan he had already in his mind.

    -

Abby listened to what was being said to her as she sat in the SUV, she wasn't really ready to hear what she was. She just wanted to have her sister back with her, she didn't understand why this was happening to them after the accident they had been through so much and now this. "Why have you been tracking me? I'm a no one, why does that guy want Jess? What's happening to her?" She asked looking around at the people who were now surrounding her, she felt the SUV begin to drive and fear gripped her as she didn't even know where they were taking her. She clung onto Jessica's handbag knowing her Asthma puffer was in the bag and not on her, she never went anywhere without her puffer until now.

"No... Jess was fine after the accident" She explained to them in confusion, one of both of her and Jessica wouldn't this guy want to kidnap her? She was the one who was effected by the accident, all of this didn't make any sense to her. She looked at the passenger seat of the SUV seeing blonde hair and than the man's face, she gasped knowing exactly who he was from a book that had been read to her and Jessica when they were kids. Their Grandpa told them stories about Thor God of Thunder and Loki God of Mischief, "No... no please" She whispered as tears welled up in her eyes and threatened to fall down her cheeks.

Steve was caught off guard when Abby nearly burst into tears by simply looking at the God of Thunder. "You know this guy?" he asked confused, he was getting off topic he knew but he was astounded at how the brunette knew about the blonde God. Then a painful thought hit him, "So you know who took your sister then?" he asked gently, he wanted to clarify that she knew that it was Loki and everything the dark haired god is capable of doing to her sister.

    ~

"You're an animal!" she ground out taking a step away from the God who advanced on her, "Why me?" she asked, "Why did you take me and not my sister, she's the one with the powers. All I got out of the crash was two broken ribs, a broken jaw and a few radiation burns. What could you possibly want for me when I am useless." Jessica stated truthfully hoping it would save her from whatever the raven haired god was going to do with her.

Loki chuckled to himself as he looked down at the young girl, "You really don't understand what's happening, do you?" He smirked smugly at the beautiful young girl, who was going to be perfect for the plan he had in his mind. "I had thought about taking your sister, but than I saw you and noticed you weren't like her. I needed someone who was still normal which is why I took you, I'm going to make you so powerful and have people everywhere terrified of you" He told her with a spark in his baby blue eyes, a spark that wasn't good for Jessica.

    -

Abby looked around at the people in the SUV and shook her head lightly, "My Grandpa read stories to Jessica and I about the God of Thunder" She all but whispered knowing who Thor's brother was, she wasn't quite sure what Loki wanted with Jessica or what he was capable of. "He's not going to hurt her, right? Can't you do anything? Go find her, save her" She was desperate to have her sister back with her, she couldn't do anything as she had already let this happen. She had been right there when Jessica was taken and did nothing.

Steve looked over at the blonde haired God, waiting for him to speak, a heavy sigh leaving his lips. "Thor you know Loki better then any of us, what are his plans for Jessica?" the way the blonde's face hardened he knew that Abby wasn't going to want to hear what he was about to say next.

"I fear he is going to use her as a weapon..."

"A weapon?" Tony questioned almost unbelievingly, "How is he going to use her as a weapon she has no powers nothing special about her."

"The scepter he wields holds great power over people, with that he can do anything he chooses, he can bestow Abby's sister with all the power in the world making her indestructible."

"Nobody is indestructible," Steve pointed out.

A low chuckle fell from the blondes lips, "You humans know nothing of my world. Therefore you know nothing of the power such a simple object can obtain." Steve was swallowed into silence along with the rest of the van as they all pondered over the idea of Jessica being indestructible.

    ~

"Why?" Jessica asked confused as to why the male wants to make her so terrifying, "I don't want to be terrifying, I just want to go home." Jessica wasn't sure what the dark haired God in store with her but by the sounds of it it wasn't going to be good. Why did he want to do this? Why would he want to give her all this power and make her so powerful and so feared. It didn't make sense to her she was just a normal girl who had been living a normal life and now this had happened. A thought crossed her mind and she spoke again.

"Abby, does this have something to do with my sister?"

Loki chuckled softly to himself giving a shake to his head at the young girl's statement, "You don't have a say in this, young one. And you won't be going home anytime soon, you are going to be so powerful and indestructible" He told her knowing he'd be putting his plan into action shortly, he'd be somewhat nice and start the next day so Jessica's body doesn't react to all the stress and go into shock. That would stop his plan until she was calm enough to continue with her, "You will love the power once you start to use it, everyone is going to know about you Jessica. No one will ever mess with you again" He didn't tell her that no one would ever think about going after him either, having Jessica on his side would also make him indestructible.

"This has everything to do with your sister, she would now be with The Avengers who my brother was stupid enough to join also. I have researched Abby and read ever single newspaper article on her, her gift will be one that I don't need anyone to have. If she sees anything about me, than The Avengers will try to stop me and I can't have that" He said to the beautiful red head, a smug smirk forming across his face. "I'm going to have you kill her for me" He explained to her, Abby would be the first person Jessica will be going after once she has more than enough power.

    -

Abby listened to what the blonde God said and after a few short moments of her mind processing what this Loki had planned for Jessica, anger filled her body along with the terror. "What? He's going to give her power? For what?" She asked the questions that none of them had the answer for, her heart beat increased in speed and right now she didn't want to calm herself down. "Then why aren't you doing anything? You all fight evil, right? Then find Loki and stop him, bring my sister back to me" Raising her usual sweet voice as panic filled her chest, her mind became foggy and all she could think about was what her sister would be going through.

"You have to save her, I need her" She could feel the tears welling up behind her eyes, Jessica was always there for her when she had a vision and she was the one who calmed Abby down. They had always been close, Jessica was her best friend and hadn't been apart for long periods of time. Abby couldn't think or process what was happening as the SUV drove through the streets, tears soaked her cheeks as she completely broke down in front of the strangers who had come to her rescue. She hadn't known just how long she had cried for but suddenly the heaviness in her chest was too much for Abby, darkness overcame her mind and eyes as she fainted right when the SUV stopped moving but there was no way she'd be walking out of the car.

Steve wrapped his arms around the hysterical girl as she begged with the five of them in the van. "We will get your sister back Abby, it's a promise," he assured the brunette. Abby's hysteria was getting the better of her when she passed out it was Steve who carried her into the plane that would get them back to fury and Hawkeye who were waiting for their return. Fury hoping for both girls but unfortunately he was going to be let down.

"We need to get this show pony before he causes another apocalypse," Tony stated firmly causing Steve to roll his eyes at the man's obvious statement.

"That's all well and good Tony but you're forgetting one thing... How do we get to Asguard?" Bruce asked casually.

"That's what Goldilocks is for." the bearded man stated shrugging his shoulders flippantly. The five didn't have a chance to discuss further before the plane came to a stop on the pad and they jumped out Steve clutching the passed out Abby closely.

    ~

Jessica choked when she heard what Loki had told her she was to do. Kill her own sister, she knew this guy was mischievous sure but psychotic was not something she suspected. Shaking her head furiously she spoke, "I will not kill my sister, be fucked if you think that's happening." she snarled at the God wanting so much to rip the smirk off his sadistic face. She thought for a moment before something struck her, "You want to give me all this power not just to make me indestructible but to make you untouchable to the Avengers. It's all about you isn't it? You are so fucking twisted and need serious help with your issues." Jessica spat poisonously.

Loki smirked at the reaction he was getting from Jessica, he wasn't going to tell her that they may be a way in which she doesn't have to kill her sister. Although she'd still need to make sure that Abby was taken care of, just so she wouldn't become a problem to him. He wasn't really psychotic, he just wanted to see how Jessica would react to him as he was annoying like that.

"You are a smart one, aren't you? Of course this is all about me, you're just here to make sure that I'm safe and alive to continue on with overtaking the world" He knew the Avengers were probably already working out what he had planned, which meant they'd use his brother to get to him or use him to get into Asgard which was something he was ready and prepared for. His guards knew not to let anyone anywhere near the castle that he lived in and would keep Jessica in, "You must be tired. I'll show you to your room" He told her completely unfazed by her words, he walked off letting her follow him if she wanted to. If she didn't and tried to get out of the castle than she'd most likely get lost, or the guards would bring her right back inside.

    -

Abby wasn't sure how long she had been unconscious for but when she did wake up, she was being carried in two strong muscular arms. Her head was resting on a firm shoulder but she wasn't in the SUV anymore, looking around she saw that she was in what could only be described as a special agents office. People in navy uniforms were working on computers or walking around with papers in their hands, everyone looked serious as she was carried past all of these strangers. "Only one? I told you all to bring me both the girls" Nick Fury said looking at the five Avengers that he had sent to protect the girls and bring them back.

"Take her to a room Steve, but stay with her. We don't need her going into shock or panic" Fury told Captain America as he noticed Abby was partly awake, he didn't want to overwhelm her by having her take in everything around her while she had just witnessed her sister being kidnapped by Loki.

Abby felt Steve start to walk again but this time he was carrying her away from the people who had brought her here, "This is my fault... Loki wouldn't even want Jess, if it weren't for me. I never wanted to be like this, I never asked for this. I don't want to be a freak anymore" She spoke quietly to him resting her head on his shoulder again.

"Of course," Steve nodded his head before turning and walking away from the small crowd that had formed around Fury. As he walked away he heard a sigh leave the leaders lips before he began to talk to the five that were left behind. The Avenger had been caught by surprise when the brunette that was tucked in his arms spoke. The girls words struck a chord in the males heart, he hated to hear a girl so heartbroken.

"It's not your fault Abby. It's our fault for not getting there sooner to save your sister from Loki." Steve admitted, it was their fault that her sister had been taken, they had known about the sisters ever since their accident but it was Fury who had denied them from collecting the girls and bringing them in. It was Fury who had said it would be safer to watch the two of them from a distance to see where everything goes, and this is where it went, one girl stolen by the one God who tried to destroy the Earth as everyone knew it.

Steve continued through the corridors before coming to an empty room kicking the door open gently he walked over and placed the distraught Abby on the mattress gently.

"Everything is going to be fine, we're going to get your sister back... I promise."

    ~

Jessica watched as the raven haired God walked off not even looking back to make sure she was following. Jessica wasn't tired. She was confused, upset, angry, and frustrated but she wasn't tired. There was no way she could sleep. She was in a new placed that she had never heard of, and there was no way of getting home, no way of getting back to her sister. Jessica waited until Loki was out of sight before she sped off down the corridor. She ran as fast as her legs could go, her hear beat was in her ears with nerves. the beat was so loud that she couldn't hear the tapping of her shoes on the marble floor.

Loki chuckled to himself softly when he heard the young girls footsteps running off in the opposite direction, which he had clearly told her that there wasn't any point in trying to escape. Although he had been expecting this to happen at least a few times, it was still early stages so Jessica felt like she needed to at least try to escape or get as far away from him as she could. So once he reached the girls new bedroom he simply stood by the door and waited patiently.

Loki's Chitauri filled army where all placed around the castle meaning that Jessica would never successfully escape, one of the monsters looked over when running footsteps echoed through the quiet castle. Seeing the young girl running away from his master he stepped out in the way of the girl, he watched as she attempted to dodge around him which was her first mistake. His blackened scaly hand caught her arm with ease and pulled her body back in front of him, his free hand flew up slapping Jessica across the face. A loud slapping noise echoed off the walls, he lifted her small body over his shoulder as he carried her the way she had just ran.

"Here you are Master" The Chitauri said in a deep technological voice once he had carried the girl back over to Loki, he entered the bedroom and dropped the girl down onto the bed before he walked out leaving Loki to shut and lock the door. "I told you once Jessica, running isn't going to do any good" He looked at her through a little window in the door.

Abby instantly curled up on the bed that she had been laid on, how could she possibly blame anyone but herself. Jessica was her sister and she was the only one who had to look after her, it was her job as a sister to make sure that nothing ever happened to Jessica. "It's not your fault, deep down I knew something like this would happen to us. I just never thought it'd be Jess who was kidnapped" She whispered feeling her chest and throat tighten as more tears wanted to form, but she didn't let them. Crying about what has happened wasn't going to help her sister.

She let her eyes find Steve's handsome face and she wished he didn't have to see her in this mess, he was incredibly attractive in her eyes. "How can you promise that? Do you have a way of going to wherever Loki has taken her? I've seen glimpses of his army and you'd be out numbered" She spoke softly but still loud enough for Steve to hear her, her grandfather just didn't stop with reading books about Thor and Loki.

Both Abby and Jessica had heard the many stories of Iron Man, the Hulk and Captain America. All of which captured the girl's attention greatly, they even used to play in their grandparent's garden as Abby always wanted to be Thor while Jessica looked to be Iron Man.

Steve looked down at the brown haired girl and saw her state of sadness. Reaching out he gently ran his hand down the side of her face his calloused fingers running over the soft strands of hair.

"Thor is working on that with Fury, sure Loki has an army but how strong are they?" he questioned raising one of his brows. "Plus we have a Hulk and a God of Thunder how much more strength could we get?" he questioned. As true as his words were there was a small inkling of fear in the pit of Steve's stomach, he had witnessed first hand the power that the raven haired God possessed. What he really wanted to know though was what he had in mind for Abby's sister, what could he possibly do with a normal girl? Looking down at Abby he sighed before speaking, "get some sleep and when I know more I will let you know," smiling he pulled his hand away from the warmth of her skin and got to his feet turning and walking out.

Jessica was in a state of shock. The strike from the creature had caused her head to feel as if it was about to explode due to the force of the hit. "What the hell was that?" she asked clasping her cheek. A warm sticky substance clung to her palm as tears welled in her eyes. Pulling her eyes from the dark haired male she hesitantly pulled her hand away from her bleeding cheek and saw that her palm was painted red. Her stomach knotted together, Jessica had never been able to stomach blood very well, she could handle a little but this much caused her to become light-headed.

"Loki..." her voice was light, it was a struggle to get the words out due to the bile that rose in her throat. Jessica didn't know if she wanted to throw up or faint.

Abby couldn't stop herself from looking into Steve's stunning blue eyes as he ran his fingers along her long soft hair, it was a horrible time but she couldn't help herself. "We could always have a bit more strength on our side" She said softly as she had no idea how large of an army that Loki had with him, could the Avenger's really be enough to take on Loki and his army? Abby didn't know but it made her terrified, she always preferred to know what was going on and now she was completely in the dark. She nodded her head lightly as she kicked off her shoes and pulled the bed sheets over her body, closing her eyes she laid in bed for a while before she eventually fell asleep. Some time had past as Abby was fast asleep, she soon started to toss and turn in the bed.

Bolting up into a sitting position as a light sweat coated her forehead, climbing out of the bed she opened the door and walked out. Though she had no idea of where she was actually going, so she just let her feet carry her around the helipad. She had no idea how she managed to find a room with a large circular silver table in the center, seeing Steve and Bruce sitting at the table. "One of his army has already hurt Jessica, she was slapped across the face and her cheek is bleeding. She's horrible when it comes to blood" Abby said nearly breathless at the nightmare she had seen, she knew it was a vision but seeing her sister be hurt was a nightmare to her.

    -

Loki looked through the small window to see that the colour had drained from Jessica's face, frowning he opened the door and stepped into her new bedroom. It was obvious that this young girl wasn't great around blood, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Walking over to the young girl, he quickly grabbed a small wash cloth from the adjoining bathroom. Placing the cloth against the wound on Jessica's cheek, "I warned them about hurting you. I'll deal with the one who has hurt you" He assured her placing his free hand onto the small of her back, he helped Jessica sit down onto the edge of the bed that had been placed in the room.

"Inhale deeply and exhale slowly" Loki told her keeping the cloth pressed against her cheek to stop the bleeding and also so Jessica wouldn't be able to touch the wound. He had just gotten his hands on the main puzzle piece to his plan, he wasn't about to let anything happen to her.

Jessica listened to the God inhaling slowly and exhaling at the same pace. Her light head disappeared and the urge to vomit slowly disappeared. Looking up she looked into the males light eyes, as cold as his persona was his eyes were different, they held a mixture of feelings. There was heart-break, disapproval, jealousy, everything negative but there was also hidden among the array of feelings, love and warmth. Even though his exterior was one of a vicious nature she knew there was more to him then he would let on.

“T-thank you,” the red head stuttered, pulling her eyes away from his looking down at her hands, “What… what were those creatures?” she asked again curious, she was certain her grandfather had never told her or her sister about them in his many stories.

Fury and Bruce looked up automatically when the young woman walked into the room. Seeing the sate she was in Bruce quickly got to his feet about to walk to her when Steve entered the room.

“What’s going on?” the superhero asked looking at the state of shock the two men where in. Bruce flicked his eyes over to Abby which in turn caused Steve to turn his head and take in the state of Abby. She was covered in sweat, and her eyes were wide. She looked terrified.

“It’s Jessica, one of Loki’s men has hurt her.” Nick spoke his tone neutral like he knew it would happen. “It was only a matter of time before something like this happened to your sister Miss McDowell,” Steve shot a glare at the one-eyed man.

“So much for the sympathy vote.” Bruce sassed.

“I refuse to sugar coat anything Mister Banner, it is cold but it is the truth Loki and his men are ruthless.” Nick pointed out hotly.
