The 100

The 100 is a new television show on the CW that's based on a series of novels by Kass Morgan. The show takes place ninety-seven years after a global nuclear war. Survivors established a society in space to escape the radiation levels on Earth, but "The Ark" is on the verge of running out of resources, so all of The Ark's teenage prisoners are being sent back to Earth to see whether or not the planet is habitable again.

First off, just from the commercials alone, I've been so hyped for this show to air. I just watched the pilot episode the other night, and I have to admit that I'm totally hooked It reminds me so much of Lord of the Flies, just set in an awesome, post-apocalyptic world.

That's what I thought too. Lord of the Flies crossed with, Avatar The thing I didn't understand, was why would Octavia jump into some unknown body of water. xD

Ikr? I thought the same thing, but then again, if you'd lived your entire life underneath the floor/had never seen a body of water before, it'd probably be easy to get carried away

I think Octavia's my favorite character so far.

I was totally reminded of Lord of the Flies while watching it!

A few opinions: I despise Finn. I view him as super insensitive and doesn't appear concerned by too many consequences especially where Clarke is concerned.

I kind of wish Bellamy and Clarke would be a thing haha

Honestly, I don't like Finn either. I didn't understand the whole love triangle that was going on between him, Clarke, and Raven because, imo, both girls could do better

Actually, Bellamy/Clarke would be soooo interesting, like an opposites attract sort of thing I'm rooting for Bellamy & Raven though, mainly because I'm just not that fond of Clarke.

I'm shocked that this shoe doesn't have a huge fandom following yet because it has all the great makings of one. Have you been keeping up with the second season?

Yes. I am anxious for tonight's episode! And that's funny because I adore Clarke. Except for the fact she is in love with Finn or whatever. I don't understand Raven and Clarke. Finn's a jerk.

And yes, Bellamy and Clarke, I wish it would happen haha.

I was actually really annoyed once Raven landed on earth. I'm kind of starting to grow on her again, but I'm skeptical because of her bitchiness and need to attain Finn's love.

And I am shocked too that there isn't a huge fan base yet. The show is amazing. Hopefully there will be a big one soon because it's one of the few shows I'm actually obsessed with.

Me too! I admire Clarke's ability to remain calm under pressure and her ability to lead, but at the same time, I don't think she's someone I'd want to be friends with or want to be in a romantic relationship with. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but there's just something about her I don't like.

I don't know anything about it because I haven't read the novels (and from what I gather, the show is only very loosely based on the novels), but I kind of get the impression that Clarke and Finn will be like, the main love story, which I'm not too thrilled about. I could've seen Clarke with Wells, but ::cofee:

I just don't get why it isn't a bigger deal because all of the other shows on the CW have massive followings, but aside from a couple stories on A03, I have yet to come across any The 100 fanfics

Yeah, I was gonna ask you a question because after last week's episode, I was kinda confused as to whether or not one character was still in the game

I FREAKED OUT. I WAS LIKE PLEASE, ALL I WANT IS BELLAMY AND CLARKE TOGETHER.

My roommate and I were hating on Finn so hard. I have a little itty bitty more respect for Murphy because he told Finn to stop. If Clarke doesn't get rid of Finn at this point; I will lose respect for her. haha.

But Clarke and Bellamy's hug was beautiful!

Somebody obviously needs to get Finn under control! It's so annoying because through most of the first season, they tried to make it out as if Finn was "the good guy" while Bellamy and Murphy were just psycho SO TIRED OF FINN, OMG!

I think Bellamy is probably my fave male character on the show. I used to like Jasper too, but he needs to drop that Mt. Weather chick asap. There's obvi something shady going on with her, and she's clouding his judgement when it comes to what's best for the...47 or 48

And I still adore Octavia, but I'm kinda over the whole Lincoln/Octavia deal

I used to like Jasper as well, but he is too smitten with that girl. And that girl is annoying. I'm over Lincoln and Octavia as well. But my friend is obsessed with Licoln haha.

Exactly. I don't like how he immediately through Clarke under the bus just because he had a crush on some random girl Especially now that he knows Clarke ran away and that the people at Mt. Weather lied to him about her being in the hospital, yet he still agreed to save that stupid girl he barely even knows. Originally, I was hoping Jasper and Octavia would get together. I think the concept of Lincoln and Octavia is interesting, but in the end, the chemistry just isn't really convincing for me.

I am interested in what's going to happen to Lincoln after being in Mt. Weather.

Agreed. I don't see how Lincoln likes Octavia. It makes more sense for her and Jasper to be a thing.
