Intensity Within

(I didn't ask on the other thread, but is everything okay? I'm here to talk about it if you need me.)
(...and sorry it's short.)

Takuma laughed uneasily as he sat in one of the individual chairs and watched the other four. Sakura said with perfect, though obviously mocked, poise on the right side of the sofa with Senri and a fairly blank expression in the middle, and Kaname somewhat mockingly slouched on the left side. It would be funny if there wasn't so much tension in the air. He didn't know what to say, but it didn't make it any better that Rina was step dancing nervously. "Rina," Sakura's calm voice rang out in the thick air suffocating Takuma. "Take a seat, please."

(Ah, well... One of our dogs died a few days ago. He was kind of old and he ended up getting an infection and had heartworms, which we were unaware of, and that plus his old age made it so that the vet couldn't do anything for him and we had to have him put down. Aside from that, my brother's girlfriend might be pregnant, so we've been trying to figure that out as well.)

Rina blinked at realizing she was being spoken to and she glanced over as if snapping out of her own mind. With a nod, she moved to take a seat on a chair, but Senri was quick to pull her down beside him. "Senri," she muttered in a nearly chastising way, only for him to wave it off. Kaname eyed the group with faint curiosity. He didn't understand how such different people could get along so well; it didn't make sense to him. Of course, he was fully aware of the fact that Senri and Rina acted more like brother and sister than anything, but for them to associate with Sakura confused him. "You're a misfit group," he decided with a nod, though he was mostly talking to himself.

Takuma raised his brows at both Senri and Rina, and Kaname's comment. He then noticed just how crowded the sofa had become and was about to suggest Kaname move so he'd be more comfortable when Sakura stood with again an elegant and mock sense of poise. "And what is the point in which you are trying to make, Kaname?" She stood before him, her height with standing up put her taller than Kaname and from Takuma's point of veiw made him look like the small commoner and she the regal Pureblood. Again, if it weren't so tense, Takuma would laugh.

(Thanks. I'm not really sure if I'm happy or not. I mean, they've only been dating for two or three months and when they first thought that she might be pregnant, they were already talking about her moving in and them getting married. I mean, I'm glad my brother would step up for the role, but it kind of worries me that if she's not pregnant, they might try. I'd be excited if she was, honestly, because then I'd get to spoil a little baby without me having to get pregnant. xD)

"Well, don't you think the trio of you have completely different backgrounds and personalities?" Kaname pointed out with a shrug. "It's a mere observation, but you.. Well, you know how you are. Senri's pretty popular, which isn't surprising considering his work. And Rina is usually a loner, aside from Senri. The three of you as a group of friends is just surprising." Shrugging again, he paid no more mind to her and let out a sigh. Rina, however, frowned at his words and quickly shook his head. "It's better than all of us being the same, though. If we were all the same, we'd all be boring," she quickly retorted, though at realizing that she was talking back to Kaname, she quickly covered her mouth with her hands.

Takume sat back, a little surprised and entertained by the sudden change in Rina. He hardly ever, if ever, saw Rina speak out to anyone like she just had and it made a little feeling of... something stir up inside of him but he ignored it. Sakura nodded her head to Rina's statement though, "Rina's right, you know." Sakura lifted her chin a little to Kaname which only made her look taller and Kaname smaller than the petite girl which Takuma also found a bit funny. "And what is it you mean, Kaname, by I know how I am? Surely I know how I am, but do you?" Her tone was purposefully higher and had an airy quality. Sakura mimicked and mocked the voice of an elegant noble vampire with such ease Takume could help but smile a little.

"Well, you're amusing, but rude. You mimic and mock us despite the fact that you're friends with three Aristocrats. Don't you find that a bit rude as well? Do you think it bothers them when you mock the way we noble vampires act?" Kaname said rather bluntly, staring up at the girl with an eyebrow arched in curiosity. This time, Rina managed to keep her mouth shut, her hands remaining over her mouth as she didn't want to get on Kaname's bad side. The last thing she wanted was to end up with a punishment because she had seen how odd his punishments were, from drawing blood with a strike to hard labor.

Takuma chewed his lip, why couldn't the two of them just get long or even ignore each other. He chewed his lip so much he tasted his own blood but couldn't stop himself from nibbling some more as a way to cope with the situation before him. Sakura instantly dropped the act and glared at Kaname. She stood with her feet firmly planted and parallel with her hands resting on her petite hips. "If it bothered them that much, they wouldn't talk to me. So no, I don't find it rude." Her normally calm blue eyes turned to ice as she glared at the no-good aristocrat. "What I find rude is having no compassion or empathy for others. What I find rude is everything you represent and are."

"That's interesting," Kaname said with a rather bored tone. Sighing, he shook his head and looked away. "For you to just assume that they're not bothered because they won't speak up is amusing. Some people just know it's best to hold their tongues." Rina was finding it hard to keep quiet. The way they were going back and forth was making everything tense. "Will you two just stop it?" she finally asked, looking over at them, "We get it, you hate each other. This arguing is making everything so tense, it's driving us crazy. Look, Takuma's even drawing blood from himself from this."

(Okay I'm back!)

Takuma's brows slowly rose as he turned his chin so his eyes fell on the four sets looking back at him. Instantly he stopped biting his lip and it healed, "I just wonder why it is that you two, truly, hate each other. It can't only be that Sakura thinks Kaname is heartless and that Kaname thinks Sakura is an annoyance." He leaned back, "Whether you toe know it or not, there has to be more to this mutual hatred."

Sakura shook her head in disbelief as she looked at Takuma, "No, Takuma, there's not anything more on this end." She kept her arms cross and her legs firm but her shoulders sagged a little, this was getting to be tiring.

(Sorry, I would have replied to this earlier, but my brother cracked his skull at school today - along with breaking his arm and wrist, his cheek bone and his ear bone. Since they had to airlift him to a different hospital in a different town, I've been busy taking care of my other brothers.)

Kaname rolled his eyes slightly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "What does it matter, anyways?" he asked simply, honestly not wanting to talk about this. It was getting rather bothersome having to deal with it and he was finding it fairly tiresome as well. "We hate each other. I think that's explanation enough; there's no reason needed."

Rina sighed quietly as she listened to them. They obviously weren't getting anywhere with this and she tried to concentrate on something else so that she could ignore the tension in the room. It was fairly hard, though, so she found herself chewing on her nails instead to distract her.

(oh my god is he okay?! and its okay, i just got my first tattoo, its on on my wrist and typing is a bit of a hassle because of its placement)

Takuma sighed and ran a hand through his hair while he shook his head, "I don't believe that but alright." He took his bottom lip in between his teeth as a tense silence filled the space between them... again. "Well, seeing as this is going no where I guess i'll turn in."

Sakura shook her head, "No, stay Takuma. I'll leave, out of everyone here I'm the only one that actually needs to do their homework." She adjusted her headband to better rest holding back the extremely long strands of hair from her blunt bangs covering her painfully large forehead. "I'd say it was nice talking to you, Kaname." Her deep, icy eyes turned away from him as she smoothed down her uniform skirt. "But I was raised not to be a liar. Maybe I'll see you guys later," she said to Rina, Senri and Takuma after her cold comment to Kaname.

(Mostly, he is. He just got back today - er, yesterday, since it's already 3:30-something am. He can't get hit in the head, though, because the doctors said that it would put him in either an immediate coma or make him a vegetable. And, it's fine. What kind of tattoo did you get?)

Kaname frowned slightly in response to her words as he turned his gaze towards hers, a dangerous warning hidden within them. "Well at least you shouldn't lie," he said simply, not bothering to respond with any other words. This girl put him on edge and drove him crazy. The most simple things seemed to agitate him when it came to her.

Rina blinked and shook her head quickly. "You don't have to leave, Sakura," she assured, offering a smile in hopes of easing the tension in the room. Of course, she ignored the slight jab about needing to do homework, figuring that there was no point in taking it to heart. In honesty, it just made her feel worse for the girl - especially since Kaname wasn't making things easier.

(Oh my, well I know I can't do much, but if there's anything I can do to help don't be afraid to ask. And my mom and I got matching XOXO tattoos on the outer part of our wrist/arm. My left and her right, we're like the Wonder Twins haha)

Takuma frowned, he felt a little bit of a sting at Sakura's true but blunt comment about homework. When the girl shook her head and said it was probably best for her to take her leave Takuma leaned forward and outstretched his arm to call attention to himself. "We all have the same homework, why don't we just work on it together here? No need for you to run off, Sakura."

She eyed Takuma suspiciously, Sakura didn't know what little game he was playing but was determined to figure it out. "Well, if you'd all like to then sure." She turned to look at all of them, though her gaze only flicked to Kaname, rather than rest on him like it had for Senri, Rina and Takuma.

(Thank you! And awesome! I really want to, but I'm a wimp when it comes to needles. Also, sorry this took a while; my other brother's girlfriend is pregnant and her parents kicked her out, so she moved into my room with me. I'm still adjusting to the fact that I can't stay up late because she needs extra rest.)

Kaname sighed quietly and pinched the bridge of his nose, nodding slowly. "Well, if the rest of you are so adamant about doing the homework, I might as well join in as well," he decided, figuring it was best. At least he would be there to keep them in line.

Senri was almost certain that Kaname wouldn't really do the work. He wasn't even sure that he would do it, but he nodded nonetheless. Rina smiled slightly and nodded as well. "Let's get to work on it, then," she murmured as she moved to pull her homework from her bag.

Takuma smiled and motioned to the singular armchair that Was left open by Rina's presence on Senri's lap. "Relax, Sakura," he said with a soft sigh. "Homework is about as neutral a topic as one can have."

The petite, long haired brunette huffed an exhausted sigh and sat down where her friend motioned. She got out her notebook and chose math homework to do first. "Okay, so for math we have to do page two hundred thirty four with problems one through twenty five."

Kaname wasn't sure that doing homework was really worth any of their time. Still, he went ahead and pulled out his math book and notebook, figuring there was no point in debating it. "Well, then, we can split up the questions accordingly. Five questions for each person and then we can share the details with each other after," he suggested, figuring that would make things easier.

Neither Senri nor Rina bothered to comment on Kaname's suggestion. They didn't care much and Rina was still busy searching for her book. Senri, on the other hand, had already pulled his out and just nudged her to signal that they would share. Nodding in silent response, Rina pulled out her notebook.

Takuma nodded to Kaname's suggestion, "Alright, I'll take the first five." His voice was calm and neutral even with the tension still thickening the air surrounding them. Takuma flipped to the proper pages in his textbook then took his time finding a blank page in his notebook and writing down his name and the date.

Sakura through gritted teeth said she'd take equations six through ten before she sifted through her bag to find her own notebook and her calculator. She didn't like this sense of fake civilized behavior but she didn't know what else to do.

Kaname nodded slightly as he decided on numbers eleven through fifteen. He just hoped that the others knew what they were doing. Despite that he didn't necessarily need to pay attention in class, he at least knew how to do the equations. If the others didn't know, he would hate to have to get a bad grade for relying on them.

Rina had decided on the last five, whereas Senri had taken the five after Kaname's. Neither of them spoke otherwise, instead concentrating on the homework as much as they could manage to.

Once everyone announced their respective group of problems to solve, Takuma began to try and solve his own. He easily got the first and second ones but he found himself silently stuck on his third while Sakura dutifully worked on her fourth. She wasn't natural gifted in solving mathematic equations but her hours of practice and studying her skills had remarkably increased. She finished her last one before Takuma even started his fourth. "Takuma, do you want some help?"

Takuma sighed of embarrassment and relief, "Would you mind?"

The two smiled lightheartedly at each other as Sakura lightly laughed. "It's no issue, Takuma."
