Bucky grinned, "daddy is going to be scaring all boys away from his girl." Bucky looked at Aubree and smiled, "you always are what are you talking about? Yeah, all right let's sleep." He pulled his wife close, "babies are sleeping or moving around?"

Evelyn looked at him and nodded, "I know...you get all over protective and you hug me with your big arms." Evelyn smiled "well, aren't you sweet? " she wrapped her arms around him and pressed her cheek against chest. "I'm so happy, " she looked up "we should go build sand castles "

[I can't decide if I want her to get hurt because Hydra went after her, or if I want her to get sick...both would be equally sad...]

Aubree laughed quietly. "I don't doubt that at all." She said, pressing a kiss to her husband's cheek. "Always irresistible, huh? Well, your opinion is slightly biased, mon amour." She rested her head against his chest and sighed contently. "They're moving around a little bit, but not as much as usual."

Steve chuckled softly. "I'm always overprotective of you. I don't think that anything's ever going to change that." He told her. He pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, holding her close. "You taste salty." He chuckled, making a bit of a face. "If you want to go build sand castles, we can go build sand castles. Though, I'm pretty sure my sand castle is going to turn out being the best looking sand castle ever."

Bucky grinned, "I'll be the most over protective father... Next to Steve I'm sure he just seems like he'd be worse." Bucky took his wife's hand and kissed it, "I love when you speak French its sexy" he smirked. He looked down and smiled rubbing her belly, "I'm doomed huh? All these girls and one of me? "[lime]

Evelyn looked up and smiled, "same with Ellie right? Let's hope you're not as bad as Bucky says you're going to be." She chuckled moments later, "you threw me into the ocean.. Of course I'm salty." Evelyn rolled her eyes playfully at her husband as they walked out of the water. "You're an artist of course it's going to be the best looking one.. I don't think I've ever heard you brag,"

[Yeah, of course! Just enough for Aubree to stop holding a grudge against her mom]

Aubree laughed quietly. "Of course. I think you two are equally as overprotective at times, just saying." She told him. "I know you do. That's why I say things ever so often." She laughed once more in response to his later words. "You're certainly going to have your hands full for a while."

Steve chuckled softly. "Of course, but Bucky likes to exaggerate a lot." He told her. "I know, I was just stating a fact." He grinned. "I wasn't bragging, so much as pointing something out...or maybe I was. Maybe Bucky's starting to rub off on me." He chuckled.

[all right. I suppose she could get shot or stabbed.. Sounds awful but giving her cancer is worse. >_<]

Bucky shook his head, "I think he'll be worse and now he has a girl so.. Then again I'll have three and you. I'll probably be worse then" he chuckled. Bucky grinned, "it's really cute when you sing to Abby in French " he nodded, "four ladies that is a handful, lucky for all of you I can handle it" he grinned.

Evelyn grinned, "I've noticed, I guess we won't know until the girls are well in their preteens.." Evelyn took a seat on the sand where her stuff was at, "you sure? You're starting to sound like Bucky... Oooh i knew there was something different about you" she teased. "Apparently you're rubbing off on his wife..what do you have to say for yourself?"

[Yeah, that's definitely better than cancer...I guess we'll go with Hydra going after her then]

Aubree smiled. "You're both already so overprotective. It's hard to tell who will wind up being worse. You're right though, you'll have three girls and me to look after. You'll probably be much worse." She laughed. "If it makes you feel better, I think we both know I can hold my own. She likes it when I sing to her like that. I think it's because I did that when I was pregnant with her."

Steve nodded. "You're probably right. That'll be the real test." He chuckled softly. "I'm positive. Am I now? Don't tell him that, I'll never hear the end of it." He shook his head, taking a seat next to her in the sand. "She could be influenced by someone a lot worse. At least she's not being influenced by Stark." He chuckled.

[all right. Whenever you're ready]

Bucky nodded, "well, we have great women as our wives we have to be over protective and now we have children so it's only going to get worse." He nodded, "you can definitely kick someone's ass if you wanted to, hopefully not mine" he chuckled. "You did a lot of adorable things when you were pregnant with Abby and you still do them now."

Evelyn shook her head, "I can wait, I just want to enjoy being a mom as long as I can without having kids yelling at me." She started working on her castle, "nope you won't. You know you're right it could be a lot worse, don't forget to remind me about the. Sunscreen I don't want to burn" she chuckled.

[I'll start us off ]

Aubree and Bucky were supposed to go out on a date tonight. Sam had offered to keep an eye on Abby for the evening, and now Aubree was just waiting for her husband to come home. She glanced over to the clock and frowned. He was late, which was odd for him. Bucky was never late unless something came up at work. He wasn't on a mission today though, so she didn't know what would hold him up at work. Sighing softly, she ran her hands over her belly hoping to soothe the twins. This pregnancy was a lot harder than the first one had been, though that was to be expected with twins. The doctor said she was doing fairly well though, no signs of distress with the babies. They were happy and healthy and that was what mattered.

Steve nodded. "Well, we'll stop talking about the future then and enjoy having the kids be little then." He told her, kissing her head. "See? He should quit complaining. I'll be sure to let him know that when we get home." He chuckled softly. "I know, you should be fine for now. I'll remind you soon though."

It was date night and Bucky as getting ready to buy some flowers for his lovely wife. He was at a floral shop looking around and grabbed some beautiful lilies and went to pay for them. As he was leaving to head home he had gotten a call from Coulson explaining to him what happened. "Shoot, all right thanks for letting me know.." He had taken awhile to get back because how was he going to explain all of this to her? He paced around for awhile before walking in.

Evelyn nodded, "you make me happy and I hope that we can have a couple more kids in the future for now I'm happy where we're at." She nodded, "well, everyone's a bad influence on me huh?"

Aubree was starting to worry when her husband walked through the door. She looked over and smiled, seeing the flowers in his hands. "I was going to be mad at you, but you brought me flowers, so I can't be mad at you for being late." She said, letting out a quiet laugh. She frowned though when she noticed the expression on his face. "What's wrong?" She asked.

Steve smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "I'm happy where we're at for right now too." He told her. "Yes, everyone's a bad influence on you. You're just that innocent." His tone was light and teasing.

Bucky managed to give his wife a weak smile and handed her a bouquet of her favorite flowers. "Anything for my best girl. I was late because I got a call from Coulson and I didn't know how to come home and tell you.." He sighed. "Your mother is I. The hospital she's in critical condition.. Hydra was after her.." He said softly.

Evelyn smiled brightly, "I knew it, my dad says that about everyone around me, except you. Says you're the best thing to happen to me and its true.. Ooh seashells I love those things" she chuckled. "I was innocent you know.."

Aubree could tell that something was off with her husband, that much was fairly obvious. She listened to him talk, his words taking a few moments to really sink in. "What hospital is she at?" She asked him after a few moments of silent. She felt like she was going to be sick. This couldn't be right. It couldn't be real.

Steve smiled at her words. "I'm glad that he thinks so." He said. He was glad that her family seemed to like him as much as they did. "I never said that you weren't. You're much less innocent than you once were." He chuckled.

Bucky watched Aubree's face and walked closer to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Sweetheart are you okay? Did you want to see her?" He wasn't sure if she did. Of course ahe would.."Lenox. I think is what Coulson said I'm gonna text him to make sure."

Evelyn nodded, "my parents love you, not as much as I do of course" she leaned over and kissed him. "I was so innocent and I was a virgin before j met you" she giggled

Aubree was pretty sure that she was in shock right now. She didn't entirely know how she felt. "I need to see her..." She said quietly. No matter if she was still angry at her mother or not, she needed to go see her. This wasn't supposed to happen. She wasn't supposed to die too. Of course, she hadn't, she was in critical condition, and Aubree didn't know what that meant.

Steve smiled, kissing her back softly. "I'm glad that they do. I was nervous for the longest time that they wouldn't like me." He told her honestly, letting out a chuckle. "I know that you were, and clearly you aren't anywhere near as innocent anymore."

Bucky held Aubree close and kissed the top of her head, "let's go then," he grabbed her purse and followed her out the door. Bucky had already had a can waiting, getting in right after her, "just breath sweetheart I'm sure she's all right."

Evelyn smiled, "really? You were? You never told me this that's so cute!" She chuckled. Evelyn nodded, "I lost my innocence with you, totally worth it though, now.. Look at my ugly sandcastle."

Aubree was quiet the entire walk out to the car. She was still quiet when she got into the car, and didn't say anything until her husband spoke once they were both inside. "You can't know that." She said quietly. "You can't know that she's going to be okay. She's in critical condition, Bucky. There's no way of knowing how things are going to pan out. If she dies--" She paused for a moment, the words getting caught in her throat. "If she dies, she's going to die thinking that I hate her..."

Steve nodded. "Of course I was. Just because I'm Captain America doesn't mean I don't worry about my wife's family, especially her parents, liking me." He told her, chuckling softly. He looked at her sandcastle. "It's all about design, sweetheart. You have no defense system or anything."

Bucky didn't like seeing his wife so upset, she was obviously upset about this and with good reason. He's never seen her get so quiet like this before and he felt almost helpless that he couldn't do anything to make her feel better. "Critical doesn't always mean that it's going to end badly sweetheart, we just have to have faith" he told her kissing her head. As he walked up to the counter Bucky asked about Katherine, he walked back to his wife a few minutes later. "Don't think that way, she's not going to die, she'll be okay" he said softly. "She's in a room down this hall, I told them were here so they'll call us if there's any changes."

Evelyn smiled, "oh I forgot, you're still human" she teased, "are you kidding?everyone loves you, my brother included." She looked at her sandcastle, "now why would I need a defense system? It's a sandcastle it's all about design.. Well mine is already falling apart. I'm so bad at this."

Aubree frowned. "Critical still isn't good though, Bucky. There's no telling how things are going to turn out, and that's the worst part." She said quietly. She took a seat, waiting for her husband while he walked to the front desk. "I can't help thinking this way...I shouldn't have shut her out. I should have forgiven her...we could have helped if we knew there was a threat from Hydra...we could have done something..." Her words caught in her throat, unshed tears clouding her vision.

Steve chuckled softly. "I'm just as much a human as you are." He'd told her, kissing her head. He shrugged his shoulders in response to her later words. "That doesn't mean I can't have my insecurities, you know. I think every guy worries about his girl's family liking him." He went back to working on his sandcastle. "Because every castle needs a defense system, even sandcastles."

Bucky sighed softly, "I know sweetheart, but we have to believe that she'll. e all eighth," Bucky hated seeing his wife so upset, he hoped everything turned out all right. He got down on her level and started talking softly, "hey look at me.. This isn't your fault even if you did Hydra could have still gone after her" he touched her cheeks. "You're always telling me I shouldn't blame myself for the past and now telling you that. She's going to be fine" he kissed her was and walked over to the desk to ask if they could see Katherine.

Evelyn smiled, "I guess we all are.. All guys? I don't believe that.. Some just.. Well, actually never mind you're right." She laughed. She shook her head, "you're really into this building castles with defense thing huh? How about you cut me up some wood for a fire? With your bare hands.. Like when we went camping that one time.. Before we even had Grant. That was hot."

Aubree couldn't help the negative thoughts that were running through her head. She couldn't help blaming herself for what was happening to her mother. She shouldn't have held the grudge that she had. She should have forgiven her sooner, and yes, she did realize that she forgave her. "Okay..." She kissed him back softly. She didn't know what she would do without her husband. He truly was her rock.

Things aren't being done properly if there isn't one." He chuckled softly. "What does chopping wood have to do with sand castles, doll?"
