Evelyn chuckled, "I do like to tease you, and you tease me just as much. I couldn't get myself to say anything though." Ev grinned, "he's never going to hear the end of it just like you don't hear the end of it when you slip out some curse words right?" She nodded and sat up grabbing a bottle of sunblock. "Okay here you go, feel free to take your time." Evelyn sighed happily, "hmm... Feels like I'm being pampered."

[Oooh, mention of Crossbones ]

Aubree nodded. "We just want to capture the people responsible for doing this to you, mère." She said quietly. She listened as her mother spoke, recognition crossing her face when Katherine mentioned a man with badly burned arms. Rumlow. "It makes sense..." She said quietly, glancing over to her husband. "With Pierce gone, there aren't many people who would be running Hydra now..."

Steve chuckled softly. "Everyone in my life likes to rag on me for some reason. I can't be that easy of a target, can I? I thought that was reserved for Bucky." He shook his head slightly. "No one ever lets me hear the end of that." He put some sunblock on his hands and began massaging it into her back and shoulders.

Bucky thought it was sweet how Aubree called Katherine mother in French it was cute. "Yeah, I thought by the description Katherine just gave me that it must be him. Don't worry Katherine we'll keep you safe" he reassured her. "Thank you, I'm just glad Aubree is okay.. " she reached out to touch her daughter's belly. "Bucky told me what a great mother you are,"

Evelyn smiled, "not really, people just like giving you a hard time babe, like I do. Well, it is but I think they like picking on the older gentlemen." Evelyn breathed softly as he rubbed her back with sunblock, "it sexy when you curse, or when you get all parental. I don't care why they say" she leaned back and kissed his cheek.

Aubree nodded. "I wouldn't be surprised if Ward was in the group as well. I never trusted the guy." She said, shaking her head slightly. She'd never trusted Ward, and she honestly wasn't all that surprised when she and the rest of Coulson's team discovered he was Hydra. She looked to her mother, a soft smile forming on her lips. "I love being a mom. Speaking of," She paused to look over to her husband. "I guess you can go get Abby from Sam's. I'll stay here with mom."

Steve chuckled softly. "I guess you're right." He said. He finished rubbing the sunblock in and set the bottle back down onto the towel. "They don't mind when I curse, they all just like ragging on me for it because I scolded Tony that one time." He rolled his eyes slightly.

Bucky watched as his wife spoke and nodded, "I heard about that guy, whatever happened to him?" He looked at Aubree and nodded, "all right I'll bring her here then" he smiled and kissed Aubree's forehead before walking out. Katherine smiled softly and watched Aubree, "he's crazy about you, that's good, how long have you been married?"[line[

Evelyn nodded, and turned to look at her husband, "leave it to Tony to enjoy teasing you. He's worse than Bucky sometimes." She lied back on the towel, "well, I give up on my pitiful sandcastle, what did you have planned for us later? Or this whole trip? I know you've got something "

"I'm not really sure, to be honest. I know Coulson and the others had a couple of run-ins with him, but I wouldn't put it past him to be responsible for something like this or to team up with someone like Rumlow." Aubree said. She smiled when he kissed her forehead. "Alright, tell Sam hi for me and thank him for watching Abby." She turned to her mother once he had walked out. "I'm pretty crazy about him too. Lets see...Abby's a year old now, so nearly two years now. The best two years of my life."

Steve chuckled softly. "I think Tony just enjoys making fun of everyone. It's who he is." He said. "I was planning on spending time with my gorgeous wife, and that's all you're getting out of me. The surprises aren't over just yet." He grinned slightly.

Bucky nodded and was out the door and messaged Sam that he was picking up his toddler. He was happy with how things were between them and his family. Katherine smiled, "that's good, I'm so glad you're happy and healthy," she rubbed Aubree's hand "that's all we ever wanted, for you to be happy."

Evelyn nodded, "sometimes he'll ask me these weird questions like what's it like being with someone three times my age" she shook her head. "well thank you for the compliment you're so sweet! Are we going dancing? Is that what we're doing?" She asked. "We can go to the Pearl Harbor site that you were talking about.. It's not just about me you know.. It's about "us" now"

Aubree smiled sadly. "I know." She said quietly. She understood now why her mother had done what she'd done. She and her father never wanted this life for her, and with everything that had happened, it was clear that Katherine saw a window of opportunity for Aubree. She could have a normal life. "Do you think he'd be upset?" She asked. "Dad, I mean...because I ended up in the life despite your efforts..."

Steve shook his head. "That's classic Tony for you right there. Does he have a nickname for you yet? He has one for just about everyone." He said, chuckling slightly. "I'm not telling you what we're doing, sweetheart. It wouldn't be a surprise if we did. I know it's not always about you and that it's about us now, but I do have certain things planned."

Katherine sat up straighter so she could see Aubree a little better, she grabbed her daughter's hand and squeezed it gently. ""No, he wouldn't be, you fell in love how could you possibly avoid that? He'd be happy that you have a family and that you got married and I think he would have really liked Jamses. He's a nice man."

Evelyn chuckled, "actually, he calls me Bambi, says I have the biggest eyes he's seen on anyone. I'm not sure if that's offensive or not" she laughed. Evelyn shook her head, "you'll never stop with your surprises, but okay. Fine I'll go along with it." She sat up and kissed his cheek, "I know how much you hate PDA so as soon as we get to the hotel room I'm kissing you for hours"

Katherine sat up straighter so she could see Aubree a little better, she grabbed her daughter's hand and squeezed it gently. ""No, he wouldn't be, you fell in love how could you possibly avoid that? "Everyone tells me how much I helped him over the years...if it wasn't for me, Steve doesn't think he'd have ever gotten his best friend back...I wish dad could've met him...I think you're right. Dad would have liked him."

Steve chuckled softly. "I'm pretty sure he has a nickname for Aubree too...I can't remember what it is though." He said, shaking his head slightly. Tony really did have a nickname for everyone. More often than not, that's what he referred to people as too, never really their first names. "Never." He smiled when she kissed his cheek. "I'm going to hold you to that"

Bucky had picked up his daughter from Sam's and waved as he left the building. "Good news sweetie, you get to meet grandma, you're only grandma" he smiled. Of course there was Aubree's grandparents but they'd be great grandparents to Abby. Katherine nodded, "he would, I just know it, did the doctors say when I could leave by any chance?"

Evelyn chuckled, "I'll have to ask Aubree when we get back, I'm pretty sure he did.. Hmm.. Never mind. I think he was trying to be offensive." She laughed. "You better, I haven't had any alone time with you, it's our honeymoon top."

Aubree smiled. "I think you're right." She said. She had a feeling that her dad would have liked Bucky and that he would just be happy because she was happy. "They should be releasing you tomorrow morning if all goes well." She didn't see why it wouldn't. Her mother seemed okay. She'd be staying with her and Bucky from now on, thankfully they had a decent-sized apartment in Brooklyn.

Steve nodded. "I wouldn't be surprised. A lot of Tony's nicknames wide up being offensive. Whether they are always intentional, I'm not completely sure though." He chuckled softly. "I know it is. You'll have plenty of alone time with me while we're here, doll. I promise." He kissed her head.

Bucky had Abby in his arms talking to her and kissing her face, he smiled when she started talking. "Let's go see mama and grandma" he smiled. Katherine nodded, "all right good, I don't like the hospital food" she laughed softly. "I'm grateful to be alive and to have you sweetheart." Katherine's attention shifted when she noticed the door open and James walked in with her granddaughter, Abigail. She smiled widely as James walked closer "Abby missed her mommy" Bucky smiled widely.

Evelyn chucked, "yeah that's true, i shrugged it off. I like cute nicknames like the ones you give me." She snuggled up against her husband and kissed his chest, "good, I'm hungry can we wash up and eat something and I don't know whatever you have planned." She sat up and stretched her arms.

Aubree laughed. "I don't think that anyone does." She said. Glancing over to the door when she heard it open, she smiled when her husband walked in with their daughter in his arms. "Was she good for Sam?" She asked curiously as she took Abby from him, pressing a kiss to her head. She was getting so big. "Sweetheart, there's someone here who's been waiting to meet you." She said softly.

Steve chuckled softly. "That's probably the best thing that you can do. It isn't like he's going to stop anytime soon, whether we acknowledge his nicknames or not." He said. "Sounds good." He kissed her head and stood up, offering her a hand with a smile.

Bucky smiled, "she was a little angel, until Grant showed up for a play date. She was all over him and vise versa" he shook his head. Abby hugged her mother once Bucky set her down, "she's sweet." Katherine smiled watching the scene in front of her, "she is adorable, just the cutest" she smiled.

Evelyn hummed and grabbed Steve's hand as he helped her up, "ignoring him doesn't work that's for sure." After picking everything up they left to go to the hotel. "I had fun being a mermaid, thanks Steve" she kissed his cheek.

It's been months since Bucky has seen his beautiful wife or his children. He hated to leave them behind but for their safety he had to do what was good for them. Keeping them out of harm'so way, Hydra was just not stopping from trying to get the Winter Soldier back. Even if Steve did get involved Bucky knew it wouldn't do much good or at least he thought so. He promised to stay in touch and while he tried his damn hardest other became more difficult for him to reach his wife. Bucky missed them terribly but he wanted them safe more than anything. After weeks of moving around Bucky found himself hiding out in Romania trying to figure stuff out and reach out to his best friend who also didn't know of Bucky's whereabouts. He was scribbling down a letter because anything else would be easy to track him down. "I wish I could tell you where I'm at and when I'm coming home, I can't i'm so sorry." He spoke aloud.

Evelyn watched as her husband paced around their home stressed out. His best friend had left been missing for months with no word and Steve was trying to help him and Aubree. Who was heartbrokenot with three children no less. She helped in anyway she could, it was difficult taking care of children when your husband was away Evelyn knew that. As she watched her two children fall asleep she stood and picked Ellie up. "We need a bigger place, and I don't mean just for us four, Aubree can't be alone and I know that you're trying to find him and I won't stop you but she can't be alone..."

Aubree knew why he did it. She knew that the only reason he left was to keep her and their daughters safe. She hadn't expected for months to go by without her knowing her husband's whereabouts though. He kept in touch with her for a little while. He'd called her from what was likely a burner phone, but she hadn't heard from him since, and she was worried. What if Hydra had found him? What if he was hurt? What if they had wiped him again? All of these different, but equally horrible, what-ifs had been running through her mind for weeks now. "I'm sure he's fine." Her mother told her as she finished putting the twins down for their nap.

"You don't know that." Aubree said quietly, a frown on her face as she walked out of the room. "I haven't heard from him in months. What if something happened? They could have found them. Rumlow was looking for Steve and found him. What if whoever was looking for Bucky found him too?"

Steve was worried. No one had heard from Bucky in months. He understood why his friend did what he had done. He was trying to protect his family. That was why Steve had kept his distance from Evelyn and Grant a while ago, and so he understood where his friend was coming from, but maybe he should have convinced him to stay. He could have stayed at the Avengers compound or one of SHIELD's old safe-houses. That would have been better than this. That much he was sure of. And now, on top of that, he had the Sokovia Accords to worry about. He wouldn't sign them though. He couldn't.

"You know how Aubree is, Ev. She's stubborn." He sighed, running a hand over his face. "I just don't know why he hasn't tried contacting any of us in months. He should have contacted one of us by now."

Bucky sighed softly looking around as he moved around town trying to gather food without being noticed. It was hard being away from his loved ones and all he wanted was to see them again. Every night since he left he would stare at a couple of pictures of his family he had managed to get in a small wallet size. It was wrinkled now from all the folding and how often he took it out. Bucky was sad he wanted his family. He didn't want to be chased by the government or Hydra, he just wanted to be normal. Or whatever normal was now, as he finished Bucky hoped to be able to come home soon. Steve and Aubree were more than likely worried sick about him. He wordered if he should just give the, a call or something. He went back to guarantee rundown apartment where he stayed hidden from the world.

He tapped his temples with his mental fingers, that were still attached. Bucky didn't think he should head home where Stark would probably threaten him or his family like he had before. He didn't want to kill his parents Hydra made him do it.

Evelyn remembered when Steve had left after her grandmother passed away, they were both hurt. She was devastated and so was he, after a few days after the funeral he left. She didn't want him to, she needed him and he left without an explanation just that he had business to take care of. She wanted to be angry with him but couldn't she was more sad than anything. When he came back she had mixed feelings, he hadn't called much or wrote. They were both distant for awhile. It still felt like it but he was home and safe and she supposed that's all that mattered.

Evelyn looked at the child in her arms as she tucked her one year old daughter and sighed. "Yeah, I guess that's true she was never good at accepting my help anyway. At least she has her mom and dad," Evelyn turned to her son and smiled softly. "Come on, it's past your bed time," She got on her knees and opened her arms waiting for his small embrace. "He's just gonna have to call sometime he can't be away from the, too long. Bucky loves them too much."

"You can't dwell on the what-ifs, Aubree." Her mother said, shaking her head. Aubree knew that her mother was right. She knew that dwelling on things that she had no proof of happening would only make matters worse. It was hard though. She just wanted her husband back. She wanted him home with her and their family. Letting out a soft sigh, she nodded. "You're right. It's just--it's hard. I miss him so much, and I hate not knowing where he is or if he's okay." She frowned.

Steve nodded. "I know." He said. "Hopefully he'll come back soon." He was about to follow her into Grant's room to put him to bed when his phone started ringing. It was Sam. "I'll be in to say goodnight in a second, bud." He told his son before answering his phone. Before he could get a word in edge-wise, his friend was speaking. "Have you seen the news recently?" His friend's words confused Steve and peaked his interest. "What're you talking about?" He reached for the remote, and turned on the TV, switching to one of the local news channels. There was footage of what appeared to be a bombing in Vienna. That was where the UN was meeting to sign the Sokovia Accords. Right next to the footage, was a picture from a security camera of their current suspect. Bucky.
