Belle looked ahead as she made her way to school, her first class' textbook held firmly in her arms, tightly pressed to herself. The girl was an avid reader, even when it came to the textbooks that the school had for each class - she loved learning knew things and reading about everything that others' imaginations had created. Whereas some found the trait a little odd, Belle didn't care much what others thought. If she cared about others' opinions, she would have been hanging out with everybody, but she was usually just alone. Approaching school, she stepped through the doors and looked around.

Kovu busied himself with tossing a stress ball into the air as he wandered through the school halls, catching it over and over again. It wasn't even his - he had taken it from some kid who he had found a little annoying. Everybody viewed him as a bad kid, a bully, a jerk, whatever they could think of to call him. Maybe he was. Then again, it wasn't like anybody really knew him. He didn't get close to others due to the fact that he found it hard to tolerate them. One girl had caught his eye a while back, though. The preacher's daughter, Kiara. He wasn't even sure why. Perhaps it was just because she was so innocent and he felt the need to corrupt her.

Mulan chewed on her nail as she scanned the hallways, making her way through them before stopping at her locker. A mirror hung in it, though she never really bothered to look at it. Despite her fine grooming, she wasn't ever really comfortable with all the makeup. She only went along with her mother's idea of looking perfect with all the added things, but she honestly preferred being without it. Unfortunately, she wasn't normally one to go against her parents' thoughts - it was just how she was because she didn't want to upset them or have them be disappointed in her. It was another reason why she actually tried in school, unlike most others.

John breathed out a sigh as he ran a hand through his hair. It was his first day at the new school and he wasn't fully aware of how things worked in this town. The rich, the poor, they all had different views and stayed away from each other aside from school. It was something he didn't quite understand, but he didn't bother questioning it. Shaking the thought away, he entered the school, immediately looking for the sign to lead him to the office so that he could get his class schedule and head straight to class. Once he spotted it, he followed the instructions that were shown.

Adam was sitting on the lawn, leaning against his favorite tree. A book with the title Advanced Placement Conceptual Chemistry was propped open against his lap. He loved to learn and read and his house was filled with books that he had gotten with his family's fortune. People send he was wasting money on books but his parents weren't here to see it, they were probably rolling in their graves but oh well. Looking up, he spotted Belle walking and smiled. He had left her another present in her locker. It was one of the first editions of Hans Christian Anderson's fairytales. It wasn't the first time he had given her a present like that.
Kiara walked down the hall with her books clasped tightly in her hands. Looking up, she tried hard not to smile when she saw Kovu walking by. Despite the fact that everyone told her that she had to stay away from him, she enjoyed hanging out with him. He made her feel like she didn't have to be perfect, like she could just be happy and free. Reaching out, she grabbed the stress ball. "Which poor freshmen did you steal this from?" she asked with almost a mocking tone in her voice. "You really should pick on someone your own side. I expect more from you Kovu," she said as she flipped her hair and began to walk away.
Shang was walking with his backpack thrown over one shoulder. The Karate team had won the nationals the year before and since he was captain there was a lot riding on him. A ton of senior had left and they were getting a ton of new kids which he was in charge of training. Running his fingers through his hair, he went over strategies and plans that would get them in shape and fast for the tournaments that were going to start in about three months. Looking up, he spotted some of his friends and walked over, not caring about the timid girl next to them, Mulan, he thought was her name. He grinned as he started talking to his friends about classes.
Pocahontas ran her fingers through her hair as she headed to the office. "Hey, Mr. D," she said to the principal who was talking to some guy with blond hair. "I'm here to show the new kid around," she said before she froze. "No way am I showing him around. He is from the west side of the tracks. Find someone else," she said as she turned to leave before hearing the principal remind her that she had to work off detentions already earned. She growled under her breath before looking at the guy. "Hurry up," she said as she walked out of the hall. The Poors immediately moved aside for her to walk, she was their princess after all, she thought to herself.

Belle stopped at her locker, delicately turning the dial to the designated numbers. Everything she did, she did carefully as if afraid of messing up. It wasn't like she meant to behave in such a manner, it just kind of happened. She blinked, though, when she saw that her locker wasn't as empty as it had been before. She only really knew one other person who read as much as she did, so she had a pretty good guess over who kept leaving her books in her locker, though she had never confronted Adam about it. Chewing on her lip, she pulled the book out and a small smile rushed over her features as she saw what it was. Shifting it in her arms, she glanced around before recalling seeing Adam outside and made her way out as well. She wasn't one to care for the status boundaries, honestly.

A chuckle left Kovu's lips as he reached over to try to grab the stress ball back. "Oh, don't even pretend that you're angry," he mused with a slight smirk as he eyed her with amusement. "You and I both know that you're just jealous that I'm giving all of my attention to my victims and not you." His tone came off as completely teasing; he couldn't help it, it was fun to joke around with and tease her. Plus, he was pretty confident with himself, so he figured there might be even the slimmest chance that his teasing held actual meaning. Shrugging the thought aside, he stepped forward, eyeing her carefully as he followed after her. "You're just going to leave me like that? That's so cruel." He feigned a gasp, placing a hand over his heart in mock pain. "I thought we were the best of friends, right?"

Mulan could hear the loud laughter of the group near her. Glancing over, she easily recognized them. They were well-known as the karate kids of the school, the ones who held such skill in the mastery of the art that it almost made her a little jealous. Karate was something she had always been interested in but her parents highly disapproved of it - plus she couldn't take lessons for it because her family was so poor, only managing to barely get by. With a sigh, she closed her locker and rested her forehead against it. Sometimes she really wished things could be different for her, that she could do as she pleased like the rest of the school seemed to be able to do. They all seemed so happy with themselves, so proud of who they were, whereas she wasn't even sure who she was anymore.

"West side of the tracks?" John repeated with confusion as he followed her. Even at school, they seemed to have the same ideology of how the world worked. Where he came from, status wasn't something to be concerned about. To be here, where the rich and poor were so vividly divided, he honestly felt a little uneasy and out-of-place. Clearing his throat, he followed after her quickly, glancing around a bit as they walked. "My name's John," he eventually murmured, turning his attention back to her as he offered as much of a smile as he could manage with all of his unnerved feelings. "What's yours? Or are you just going to show me around then ignore my existence?" He hoped he wasn't coming off as rude; he was just genuinely curious as to if their interactions would just stop after the school tour.

Adam finally closed his book and sighed as he leaned back against the tree. School didn't official start for another twenty minutes so he decided just to relax in the sun. His eyes flickered open when he remembered that he had seen Belle walking by. Glancing around, he wondered his she liked his gift or if she thought he was some terribly creepy stalker. Honestly, he meant no harm, he just wanted to talk to someone who appreciated books as much as he did. It was a refreshing feeling. Finally, he spotted her and his eyes widened slightly when she seemed to be on a mission heading straight toward him. Busted, he thought to himself.
Kiara rolled her eyes at his words and she glanced over her shoulder at him. "Kovu, we are so not the best if friends. I bet you can't even tell me what my favorite color is," she said as she grabbed the stress ball back and tossed it over her shoulder. Moving closer to him, she grinned as her body pressed close to his. "What if I do want all of your attention?" She asked as she you he his chest before pulling away just in time as her brother rounded the corner. "Bye Kovu," she said over her shoulder as she fell into step with some of her friends and laughed and smiled, the innocent naive girl facade back in place.
Shang continued to tell his friends about how they were holding audition for the next week. "Yeah, the top three get free lessons and then the captains get to choose three more for free lessons for an entire school year," he said as he smirked at them. "The coaches wanted to attract more people but my bet is that with the training I have set, all but maybe five will wash out in the first couple of days, then we can get actual training done," he said before glancing over at Mulan and smirking as one of his friends brushed by her. He moved and stopped him. "Hey! We are better than the Poors. We don't pick on innocent girls," he said as he turned and led his friends away.
Pocahontas glanced over her shoulder at him with a slight smirk on her face. "You know what, I like you John. For a new kid, you are quite ballsy. But you love with the Royals which means that yeah, after this tour, we should go back to ignoring each other. It's easier that way, unless you like hard that is," she said as she winked in his direction before turning and continuing to walk down the hallway as she pointed out different stuff. Finally, she stood in front of his first class. "This is your first stop," she said with a raised eyebrow. "I'll meet you back here after." She said in a tone that left no question that that would be happening before she left. "Good luck John," she said as she walked away.

Belle was quick to approach Adam, stopping in front of his seated figure as she looked down at him. "You keep breaking into my locker, right?" she asked, a little straight-forward as she held up the book that had been left in there. "For you to break in just to give me books, it's a little cowardly. Or are you afraid that you'll get in trouble with the rest of the Royals for giving books to a Poor?" She frowned slightly at the thought and sighed, glancing away for a moment. She hadn't intended to say such things, but the more she thought about it, the more sense it made. "Anyways, thank you for the books. I'll be sure to read every one of them." She didn't really linger long before she turned and headed back into the school.

"You're such a tease!" Kovu called out after her as he watched her, chuckling to himself. Honestly, it still surprised him that she even spoke to him. Not only was she a Royal and him a Poor, but she was the preacher's daughter and he was the well-known bad boy. It didn't make sense to him that they could actually get along at all and, though he questioned it, he didn't dwell on it long. With a shrug, he simply watched her retreating figure before he smirked and made his way to his locker after getting the stress ball back. He didn't even squeeze it like a stress ball was intended for; he just continued to toss it in the air and catch it, even as he walked, not caring if he bumped into anybody.

"Better than the Poors?" Mulan repeated to herself with a frown as she watched Shang and the others leave. It made her a little angry to hear such rude words. Shaking her head abruptly, she couldn't help but to think over his words about the karate auditions. The idea stayed in her mind and she was highly interested in it, but if they were auditions, she doubted she'd make the cut because she knew next to nothing about karate. She didn't know any of the techniques or anything and it made her a little upset. Even so, even if she were to somehow manage to get onto the karate team, her father would likely get angry with her since he preferred that she concentrate on her studies and her chores.

"I don't really care about what's easier. I don't really agree with the viewpoints that everybody else here seems to have," John said rather bluntly before he turned his attention to his classroom. He blinked several times, taking in the fact that several students were already inside. With a deep breath, he steeled himself for anything that might happen during his first class and made his way inside, trying to force away his nervousness. It was only during times like this that he was ever nervous - meeting new people and trying to be accepted by them. At the same time, though, it also made him a little excited. Moving to new schools meant that he could be anybody that he wanted to - for all anybody here could know, he could pretend to be a Poor.

Adam watched as she walked away and he quickly followed her. "Look, I didn't break into your locker because I was embarrassed. It was because I know that you love books and care about them and that you actually give a damn about them and I was afraid that if I offered you a books that was rare or something that well...you wouldn't take it," he said as a blush colored his cheeks and he rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't know what else to say now. "I'm sorry for doing that. You are right. It was rude and it won't happen again," he promised as he bit his lip. "I do hope you read them. They are some of my favorite stories." He said as he gestured to the book in her hand.
Kiara looked at her best friend who was about to warn her against talking to Kovu again. "Look, save it please? I have a preacher for a father. I don't need you guys lecturing me too," she said before she headed to her locker. Sighing, she opened it and saw Nuka's older brother. Groaning, she watched as he came over and leaned against the locker next to hers. "Hey baby. How about me and you?" He said as his hand moved up her arm and she shrugged him off. "Not interested," she said before turning to her locker. She gasped as he pulled her hips and made thrusting motions, grinding against her. She gasped before swinging her fist and nailing him in the face. "Not interested Nuka," she glared at him.
Shang continued walking before saying good bye to his friends. He went to the fun as he had first period off. He changed into his uniform and began practicing and working out, knowing that during this week and next he would be spending most of his time training others instead of himself. It was so frustrating he thought as he continued to try and try to do one move but failed and failed again. His mind was unfocused and unbalanced as thoughts and concerns competed for his attention. It was crazy but at least it was his senior year, he told himself as reassurance as he began to break out into a sweat. His muscles protested as he forced them to do intricate moves and patterns.
Pocahontas walked away to her first class. Walking in.she smiled at her friends and ignored the Royals before she took her seat toward the back. Although she honestly did love to learn and wanted to do good in school, she had to keep up appearances of being the stereotypical poor that her father wanted her to portray. Sometimes, she wished that she was more like anyone who lived around her simply because they all had more of a choice or at leaf, maybe she could too. Sighing, she paid attention as best she could to the teacher who was trying desperately to get everyone to quite down but with no real success.

Belle tilted her head to stare up at him for a moment before she sighed. "The fact that you snuck into my locker to give me a book is a rather strange thing to do, you know," she mused quietly, a hint of amusement in her tone, though she soon shrugged. "A book is a book, regardless of how common it is. I've never turned down a book and I surely won't start now." She offered the faintest of a smile before she returned her attention ahead, beginning to walk again. "But I will most definitely read them, that much I can assure you. I've never read them before. Why are they your favorites?"

Kovu couldn't help but to notice the commotion by Kiara's locker. A wave of some sort of protective feeling coursed through him in a way that he hadn't quite expected. Making his way over, he abruptly put his hand on the other boy's arm and pulled him harshly away from Kiara. "I'm pretty sure she told you that she's not interested," he nearly growled out, anger obvious on his features. "You'd do well to respect her wishes. It's kind of pathetic to see somebody so blatantly oblivious to their surroundings that they could try to force themselves on somebody. Even I wouldn't do something that idiotic."

Mulan looked around for a good ten minutes before she took a deep breath, having made her decision by now. Maybe if she asked for some training ahead of time, she might be able to be good enough to actually make the team. Her main concern was being able to keep it from her parents, though. Shaking the thought aside, she began wandering through the school, heading towards the gym in hopes of finding somebody there that would willingly help her without asking too many questions or trying to get something in return. Once she got to the gym, she could already see Shang training and she mentally cursed herself.

John was quickly assigned a seat once he walked into the classroom. The teacher, of course, was paying little attention to the other students and was instead trying to explain how the class worked. It seemed so odd, the Poors on one side of the room, the Royals on the other. It was almost annoying to look at and it made it impossible for him to pretend to be anything other than what he actually was. Shaking his head, he took his seat, listening to the teacher drone on and on about what the day's lesson would be about, though it was pretty obvious that nobody aside from John was listening anyways.

Adam looked at her for a moment before shrugging slightly. "I like the idea of all the loose ends tied up like a happy ending," he said with a sheepish look on his face. "Granted not all of Hans's fairytales end with a happy ending but all the loose ends are tied up," he said thoughtfully before turning and watching her for a moment. "Do you have a favorite book or something?" He asked curiously. "Did you like the other books?" He asked as a blush painted his cheeks and he looked down at his feet. He felt so unsure around her when normally around others he had a terrible temper. Glancing over at her from the corner of his eye, he smiled gently at her.
Kiara watched as Kovu ripped Nuka away from her and she moved toward him. She watched as Nuka sulked away and she looked up at Kovu. "Thanks," she said softly as she looked down at her hand. Her hand was bleeding slightly from the cuts she had received when she punched Nuka. "I really need to learn how to throw a punch," she said almost to herself before glancing up at him again. "Thanks for doing that Kovu. I know it breaks your whole bad boy thing but thanks." She said as she leaned up and kissed his cheek gently. "Want to meet under the bleachers at lunch?" She asked curiously. It had been something they had done on and off since freshmen year.
Shang heard the door to the gym open but he continued until he had finished the set he was working on. Stopping, he wiped his forehead before looking around, his eyes spotted Mulan and he raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here?" He asked. His voice was hard but not mean as he moved over to his water bottle and took a long sip. "Are you lost or something?" He asked before setting his water bottle down and getting a towel and wiping his forehead. What was she doing here? She had to be lost, no one besides the karate kids come to use the small gym. He waited patiently for her answer, his mind already focusin on what was wrong with the sets he had done before he had taken the break.
Pocahontas sat in her class and watched as the teacher slowly gained control of the class. Sighing, she ran her fingers through her long, thick black hair before she leaned her head against her palm and waited for the class to begin. She hated the first couple days of school, all the stupid syllabuses or the weird introductions and stuff like that. It was ridiculous, she thought before she sighed again. Glancing over at her best friend, she faked an exaggerated yawn only to receive a glare from the teacher. She covered her mouth to stiffle a giggle. Maybe this class would be okay, she thought as she glanced around and saw most of the people where the Poors which was always nice.

Belle smiled as she listened to him. In all honesty, she had heard some pretty bad things about Adam and his temper, but he never seemed to be temperamental around her - though they hadn't had many interactions, anyways, so maybe it was just something that happened with people who spent more time around him. With a shrug, she tilted her head to look up at him. "I haven't chosen a favorite book yet," she told him before returning her attention ahead, soon coming across her classroom as she stopped again. She knew it was best to go ahead and go inside but she found herself wanting to linger outside of the classroom and speak with Adam more. It wasn't something she fully understood, but she didn't care. "And, yes, I did like the other books. Thank you for them."

Surprise flashed over Kovu's features after receiving the kiss to the cheek, though the surprised expression only lasted for the smallest of moments. "You're welcome," he eventually breathed out before he smirked, letting his usual arrogant and bad-boy features return. "Besides, I may be a bad boy, but that doesn't mean that I would let some guy force himself on any girl. Even I'm not that cruel to leave a damsel in distress." He nearly chuckled at his own choice of words but brushed it off as if it was the most natural thing in the world to say - and for all he knew, it might have been. "Under the bleachers, huh? I'm not sure," he mused, tapping his chin in mock thought, "I might be busy bullying my victims. Unless you can properly convince me to join you." He grinned down at her, but he was mostly just teasing.

Mulan found herself staring at him as she tried to think of what to say. Was it even a smart choice to explain to him her reasoning for coming there? Especially when he wasn't exactly somebody that she wanted to ask for help from. With a sigh, she soon shook her head. "I'm not lost. I know exactly where I am," she said simply before leaning against the wall, crossing her arms over her chest. "As for why I'm here, is it wrong for somebody to want to come to the gym? Or is it because I'm a Poor girl?" She arched an eyebrow in curiosity, eyeing him carefully before she frowned and pushed herself off the wall, moving to approach him. "You were talking about karate auditions earlier, right? I want to try, but... There's a problem. I don't know any karate."

John scanned the classroom fairly boredly. For the most part, the students in the classroom were all gossiping about one thing or another. Some of the other Royals tried to coax him into conversations with them, but he merely waved them off. On the other hand, he could hear the Poors talking badly about him, claiming he had tried to cozy up to Pocahontas - who he assumed was the girl who had been showing him around early. The Royals, on the other hand, were saying the opposite, that they felt bad for him, claiming that Pocahontas was trying to cozy up to him. Honestly, all the gossip was driving him a little crazy. He eventually just tuned them all out and focused on the lesson instead, figuring that was what was best - otherwise, he might just lose it.

(If you want, we can skip to after class for Pocahontas & John; it's not like all the others are following the same timeline at the moment, anyways. xD)

Adam glanced over at her and watched as they approached what he assumed to be her classroom since she stopped there. Adam smiled softly, feeling almost proud of himself for being able to choose books that she would enjoy. "I'm glad that you liked them," he said honestly, "and there are plenty more were those came from....you should come see my library sometime. I think that you are the only person I have ever met who might appreciate them as much as I do." He said honestly as he smiled at her for a moment before clearing his throat and looking away. "Um....I should probably get to class and yeah....see you later Belle," he said with a nod as he turned and began to walk down the hall to his class.
Kiara looked up at him and rolled her eyes. "I already know that no matter what you will show up so why exactly would I put the effort into convincing you?" She asked with a whirled eyebrow as she shut her locker and leaned against it as she looked up at him. A smirk was painted on her face a she knew she was one of the only people that Kovu allowed to challenge him as much as she did. "Besides to you really think that some freshmen is more interesting than me?" She asked as she trailed a finger down his chest and pouted. Her eyes met his and she winked at him seductively before laughing softly and watching him. "Come on lion, please?"
Shang looked at her in surprise, first because of the comment that she snapped at him and second because if her wish to do karate. "I um...." He thought for a moment as he tried to gather his thoughts. "We don't have any girls on the team so it would raise out edge," he said as he thought out loud. "Fine, I will help you train as long as you promise to do everything that I say. First, do you have any training or work out clothes to change into?" He asked as he watched her. "If you have them, go change now. If not, go to the side of the mat and I can show you a couple basic moves that you can practice on your spare time." He said, already in training and captain mode.
Pocahontas pushed herself up when the bell rang. Walking down the hall, she watched as a ton of Royal girls flocked around John and she rolled her eyes. Walking over, she tapped one on their shoulder, she proceeded to squeal before laughing as they scampered away. "Hope they didn't eat you alive Johnny boy," she said with a teasing tone as she looked at him for the first time with a smile on her face. "Sorry about them, new meat is rare around here and Royals don't really understand the word no," she sAid as she began to walk down the hall. "So, how was your first class?" She asked curiously as she looked at him from the corner of her eye.

Belle was caught off guard by his words at hearing about a library. She could only imagine the school library which wasn't filled with as many books as she would have liked. Then again, since Adam was a Royal, he probably had tons of books. The thought made her far more interested than she cared to admit. Nodding slightly, she offered a smile. "Okay. See you later," she murmured with a slight nod as she watched him walk off. Turning back to the classroom, she cringed at the sight of some of the students throwing paper balls and horse-playing. With a sigh, she ducked inside and took her seat.

"You really are a tease," Kovu whispered with a slight smirk as he eyed her carefully. "For the preacher's daughter, you sure are seductive, you know that?" He chuckled quietly, though he definitely wasn't complaining. He liked this side of her, the teasing side that wasn't afraid of much. It made her seem more like she didn't give a damn what her great and wonderful daddy thought. It made him feel like he really had corrupted this girl, even just a little, and that brought about its own satisfaction. "Fine, fine. As long as you promise not to tease me too much, I'll be there, I assure you."

Mulan blinked at hearing him agree to training her. She couldn't help but to smile and she nodded quickly. "I have my clothes for gym," she told him, knowing that she didn't really wear them much because they hadn't done anything in her gym class lately. For the most part, they just played volleyball or basketball or some other sport to pass the time, but they didn't do much else. "I'll go change and I'll be back in a few minutes." She offered a slight wave before she rushed out of the karate area of the gym and went towards the girls' locker room instead. It was almost surreal knowing that she would finally get the chance to learn a bit of karate.

"It was hell," John said fairly bluntly as he began walking with her, his eyes taking in the sights around him, though his attention continuously strayed back to her. "Did you know that not only do the Poors think that I'm trying to cozy up to you, but the Royals think that you're trying to cozy up to me?" He scoffed lowly, finding high school gossip rather annoying. No matter where he went, gossip always seemed to float around everywhere. "It's like they have nothing better to talk about. Is it always like that around here?" Or around everywhere, he mentally thought to himself, letting out a rather exhausted sigh despite not really being tired.

Adam ran his fingers through his hair as he walked to his class. It was crazy to think that Belle and him had actually spoken today. "So you hanging out with the Poors now?" asked Eric as he walked by. Adam growled lowly under his breath, causing Eric to move away from him. "I fail to see how who I hang out with if any of your business Eric," he spat out as he continued walking. He felt a hand on his shoulder and he grabbed Eric's wrist and pulled him hard, hearing a satisfying yelp from the guy as he slammed Eric into a locker. "Stay out of my business Eric," he said before again, walking away from him and heading to class.
Kiara laughed and smiled at him happily. ""You know you love it," she said with a wink, smirking slightly. "See you at lunch Kovu," she said with a grin on her face as she grabbed her books and shut her locker. "I will see you later," she said with a big grin on her face. Walking to her class, she glanced over her shoulder at him and gave a little wave with a smile on her face before she walked into her classroom. She bit her lip as she moved to sit with the other Royals. Sighing, she hoped that people would stop the separation but that seemed unlikely so she snuck around with Kovu although the past couple months it was the worst kept secret ever.
Shang walked as she left and he sighed softly. This was going to be interesting. They had never had a girl on the team before, not to mention the fact that she was a poor. He ran his fingers through his hair as he walked back to the center of the mat and began practicing again. His mind went over what he should start with in teaching her, maybe see if she had any instincts at all. Looking up, she glanced around, wondering how long it was going to take for her to get changed. He was a very impatient person and required promptness from everyone around him. He sighed again as he fixed his ponytail and waited.
Pocahontas looked at him and covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. "You certainly have an idea of the world," she said before she ran her fingers through her long black hair. "The whole town is split into Poors and Royals, depending on which side of the train tracks people live on. Our grandparents caused the split although no one really knows why and now...well, we are raised to hate one another," she said. "I am the princess of the Poors which means when I hang out with a Royal, namely you, there is a lot of gossip generated by that." she explained as she sighed. "It is rather tiring but it is the way things are."

It wasn't long after Belle had taken her seat that Gaston approached her, a crooked smirk on his features as he leaned lazily against her desk. "You're in here later than usual, Belle," he said as he arched an eyebrow, staring down at her, "What exactly were you up to?" Belle sighed in response to him and lifted up the book Adam had given her. "What does it matter to you?" she asked simply as she opened the book to the first page, planning to go ahead and get started on it. A frown came to his features as he reached over, lifting the book out of her hands rather easily. "Come now, Belle, I'm much more interesting than a book," Gaston said as he flipped through the pages, though once he deemed it as uninteresting, he tossed it over his shoulder onto the floor. Belle, ignoring his words, quickly stood and retrieved her book.

Kovu smirked with amusement as he watched her leave. She was right, though; he did love that she was a tease. It made her seem more like herself rather than the prim and perfect girl that her father wanted her to be. Shrugging his shoulders, he began making his way down the hall, though he wasn't really planning on heading to class at all. Most of the time, he skipped his classes and did whatever he could possibly think of to pass the time. If it wasn't for Kiara's presence at school, he probably wouldn't even attend school at all, to be fairly honest. It wasn't that school was such a bad place - it was far better than home, after all, - but he wasn't a big fan of sitting in desks all day when there really wasn't anything that they were teaching him that he could think of using in his future. It just seemed pointless to him overall.

It didn't take long for Mulan to change. She made her way back as she worked on pulling her hair up into a ponytail to avoid it getting in her face. Admittedly, she was quite excited about this - but she was also a little nervous. Not only had she never done karate before but she would be going against her parents' wishes. Hopefully, though, they wouldn't find out about it and she could just enjoy herself without having to worry about them getting upset with her. Letting out a sigh once her hair was pulled into the ponytail properly enough, she stepped into the area that Shang was in and looked over to him. "I'm ready," she decided firmly, mostly to herself rather than to him.

"Not just tiring. It's completely exhausting, both mentally and physically," John muttered, mostly to himself as he shook his head. "That rivalry thing is insane, if you ask me. Why follow it, anyways?" In his opinion, it would be far better to just break the rivalry, have everybody get along and enjoy themselves. It would be better than for everybody to just absolutely hate each other simply because of their status. "We should find some way to change that rivalry. I'm sure we're not the only ones who don't understand it." Even if the parents raised everybody to hate each other, they'd have to come to understand if everybody broke the rivalry together, right? It was just his assumption, but he wasn't sure if it was right or not.

Adam walked into his class and sighed when once again, he was encountered with the split between the Royals and the Poors. How did this all start? He thought to himself as he took his seat. Everyone knew it started with their grandparents but no one really knew what that had happened that caused such a terrible break in the town. It was a small town so it was kind of a pain to have such a huge split. Sighing, he ran his fingers through his hair as he looked up when the teacher walked in. Great, he thought to himself, it was a new teacher who was probably going to try and force them together which wasn't going to end well, it never did.
(I'm going to do a skip until lunch for them. I hope that is okay!)
Kiara was under the bleachers, leaning against a pole. She bit her lip as she slid off her jacket to reveal a tight and slightly revealing strapless top before bending down and rolling her skirt up a little bit. She reached up and let her hair fall out of the picture perfect ponytail she had had it in. For some reason, lately she had been pushing Kovu further than before. Now, she wanted him to do something besides comment. She wanted him to act....she wanted him to kiss her....among other things. She ran her fingers through her hair to make a little sky's before she but her lip. Where was he, she thought as she looked around.
Shang watched as she walked out and he paused for a moment. He wasn't exactly sure why until he realized her hand never found a girl to be pretty when they were about to work out but she...she was. Motioning for her to come closer, he began to explain the basics of karate. Demonstrating one if the positions, he turned to her and waited for her to mirror him. Sighing, he went over and placed his hands on her hips and shifted her weight gently to show her to proper positioning. Stepping back again, he nodded slightly and placed his arms against her so her arms would follow his. He was acutely aware of how close they were to each other but he tried not to let it bother him.
Pocahontas looked over at him during his rant and waited for him to finish before she shook her head. "You make it sound a lot more simple than it actually is. What would actually happen if I tried to be with a Royal is that my friend would turn there backs to me, the Royals would never accept me so I would have no one and then, if my parents found out, they would hate me and probably disown me. So trust me, it is a lot more complicated and besides, who wants to be the first one ostracized by everyone they grew up with because of a very fragile high school relationship?" She asked as she looked at him closely for a moment.

Belle retreated right back to her seat, though Gaston didn't seem to want to leave any time soon. "Gaston, I'm busy reading," she told him with a frown as she turned her attention up to him. "I just wanted to know why you were later than usual," the dark-haired boy mused with a smirk. He was a Poor, like her, and he was a brute, an annoying one at that. Not to mention he had had his eyes on her ever since highschool started. "I don't see how that's any of your business, Gaston. It's mine. So, I would honestly greatly appreciate it if you didn't go trying to dig into it," she said before returning her attention to the book. Upon realizing that she was going to start ignoring him again, he frowned but went to his seat.

(Oh, that's perfectly fine! Any time you want to do a skip, don't worry about it. :) )

Kovu was finding it hard to break from the group that was trying to flaunt over him. Admittedly, he was fairly popular amongst the females despite that his attention was solely focused on Kiara. Pushing past the group that had circled around him, he sighed with annoyance as he waved them off. "Shoo!" he nearly shouted as if they were dogs that were misbehaving. It seemed to work, though, which he was thankful for since they were disbanding from the group, wandering off with lost, sad looks. These girls didn't make any sense to him. Shaking his head, he made his way to the meeting spot, though when he got there, he was rather surprised with the sight he was greeted with.

Mulan listened to his instructions, trying her best to concentrate on him teaching her, rather than how close they were and the feeling of his hands on her hips and his arms against hers. Pay attention, she mentally chastised herself, taking a deep breath to calm whatever it was inside of her that was making her feel a little crazy. Nodding to each instruction he was giving her, she tried to memorize it, though she realized that it was getting easier to memorize the instructions based on the tingling sensations that ran through her when she realized she got it right. Mostly, though, she was just recalling the feeling of Shang positioning her, surprised that such a simple thing that had earlier been confusing her was now actually helping her.

"Well, I'm not worried about what others think," John said fairly bluntly. It was true, for the most part. Sure, he didn't like others gossiping about things that they obviously didn't understand since they were so blatantly jumping to conclusions, but it wasn't really the fact that they were gossiping about him that bothered him. Overall, he was more concerned about her - he knew that gossip could sometimes hurt people, after all, but he was surprised to find that he was actually worried about her getting hurt by the gossip. "Besides, don't you think everybody would be happier if we put aside the hatred that built up because of everybody's grandparents? Especially since nobody even knows why all the grandparents hated each other in the first place."

Adam continued to sit in his class with his head propped up in his palm. This class was interesting but the subject was boring. The new teacher struggled to gain control over the class after he had changed the seating to mix Poors and Royals together. Adam watched as regret crossed the teacher's face and he smirked slightly. He continued to sit back and watched the class, not partaking in the complaining and bullying going on around him but not doing anything to stop it either. He found that in these situation and due to his temper that it was better for him to just hang back and watch what was going on around him.
Kiara spotted Kovu and watched as he came closer toward her. She moved to meet him about half way before she smiled and gave him a little spin. "What do you think?" She asked as she looked up at him with a somewhat fake innocent smile on her face. She winked at him as she bit her lip. She ran her fingers through her long blond-brown hair and tried to stay relaxed but the longer he took to reply the more uneasy she became. "I look terrible don't i?" She asked as she moved away from him and began gathering her hair to put it back up in a ponytail. Turning away, she kept her back to him as a deep blush appeared on her face.
Shang moved back from her again and motioned for her to continue. "You need to control your breathing as you move. Inhale when your arms come toward your body and exhale as they move away. Like this," he said as he demonstrated before he nodded and allowed a small smile to appear on his face. "You are picking this up faster than anyone I have ever seen," he said honestly before he watched her move again. "Come on? Let's spar.
I want to see your instincts and what we need to work on," he said as he took up his fighting position. "Remember that you always want to balance your weight. That will give you the advantage." He said.
Pocahontas looked at him for a moment n's she sighed softly. "It's easier said then done John." She said. "It's the cultural norm here that the side of the train tracks rule over who you hate and who you are friends with. Who you hang out with and date and eventually who you will be with," she said honestly as she sighed softly. "I know that it is stupid and weird and wrong but very few people have the courage to go against them. And when they do...well....you think the gossip is bad when they have no evidence of a relationship between us." She said as she continued to walk. "Come on, we don't want to be late," she said.

A sigh was elicited from Belle as she noticed that Gaston wasn't bothering her any longer - though she knew he wasn't exactly giving up. He never gave up, which was a reason why he could be so annoying at times. Her attention went back to her book as the classroom erupted with noise, despite the teacher's efforts to gain the attention. What was to be expected, though? It was morning, after all, so almost everybody was more interested in the morning gossip - well, aside from Belle, who was far more interested in her book. She could understand why Adam liked it so much.

"Terrible?" Kovu repeated before quickly shaking his head in response. "No, not at all." He made his way over slowly, eyeing her back carefully since she had turned away from him. Reaching his hand up, he took grip of her hands that were trying to pull her hair back into a ponytail before he brought them down. His hands still gripping hers, he wrapped his arms around her and tugged her back towards his chest with a smirk. "In fact, that look suits you far better than the goody-two-shoes appearance you usually have." In his eyes, it was the truth; that act had never suited her, which had been another reason he had wanted to corrupt her.

Mulan was surprised to hear him compliment her, even if it was just on the fact that she was learning so quickly. A light blush tinted her features, though she quickly forced it away, reminding herself that she shouldn't get embarrassed or flustered just because he complimented her learning capabilities. Nodding slightly, she offered a slight smile. "A chance to beat you up without getting in trouble for it? Who could pass that up?" she mused, though she was mostly just joking - admittedly, though, there had been a part of her that had wanted to beat him up in the past, especially with his comment that morning.

John sighed quietly as he followed her, though he fell silent for a few moments, a frown upon his features. It didn't make sense to him how everybody could be so indulged in this rivalry. It had probably started over something completely ridiculous and the thought was fairly annoying. The fact that everybody went along with it when they likely didn't have their own personal reasons was crazy to him. "Well, one way or another, I'm going to break through the barrier. Unlike everybody else, I don't have anything to lose," he said simply. He was new, after all; he didn't have friends that he was afraid of losing and his parents wouldn't be angry since they didn't like the feud either.

Adam sighed before he watched the teacher slowly gain at least enough control to be able to begin going over the syllabus and the lesson. Man, he hated the first week of school. It was stupid with everyone's gossip and then all teachers did was talk about how the school year was going to go even though it never actually went that way. He looked out the window and began to day dream to occupy his bored mind. He say dreamed and soon,
Belle popped into his head. He hoped that she liked the book and knowing her, she was probably already half way through it. He chuckled softly at the thought.
Kiara gasped softly when she felt him grab her. Feeling his chest against her back, she shivered slightly. Biting her lip, she looked over her shoulder at him. "Really?" She asked softly before she pressed her hips against his and leaned her head back against his shoulder. She looked at their hands, his still holding her wrist's gently and she slowly worked her hands out of his grip before lacing her fingers with his. Her smooth, soft skin rubbed and touched his rougher hands and it sent a shiver of pleasure down her spine. Something about him pulled her in, she wasn't sure what and she didn't fight it either. "Kovu," she whispered softly.
Shang watched her for a moment and smirked slightly at her words. "I wouldn't doubt it," he said honestly as he watched for for a moment. He raised his arms in front of him and tensed his muscles slightly. "Ready?" He asked as he waited for her. She was a quick learner and for some reason, he believed that she would have the instincts to be a fighter as well, something about her just screamed that, he thought to himself. He moved and pushed his arm forward as an upper cut against her arm. He wanted to see if she blocked with her hand, which was bad or her arm, where the strength and power rested.
Pocahontas glanced over at him through frilly before she sighed softly. "You can't excatly break it without another person so who exactly are you planning on roping into this game of yours to help you over come the rivalry and change the whole town?" She asked as she watched him with her arms crossed over her chest. She had stopped walking and was simply looking at him, waiting. He was a different kind of guy than anyone she had met before, not that that was a bad thing but it was just different. She sighed softly as she turned slightly and began walking again. "It's easier said than done, doing something like that."

(Sorry this is a bit shorter. I'm multi-tasking with playing a game, replying to texts and replying to roleplays. xD)

Belle smiled to herself as she read. It was so easy for her to lose herself in books, so easy to lose track of time. She didn't mind, though, even with the fact that it was making class go by so much quicker than usual. Before she really knew it, the class was ending and she hadn't noticed until the next class came in and somebody asked her to move from their seat. Standing, she apologized before she grabbed her things and made her way out of the classroom fairly quickly.

Kovu smirked slightly at her reaction, unable to help but to be satisfied by it. She seemed a little surprised, but she wasn't pushing him away which he supposed meant that she didn't mind it. So, he tugged her closer to himself before releasing his hold on her hands, only to turn her around. "You know, you don't always have to be such a tease," he murmured quietly, eyeing her carefully as he took in her full features. He lifted his hand, pushing her hair back out of her face, his smirk growing. "And you don't always have to be daddy's little girl."

Mulan wasn't sure what had gotten into her when she saw his hand coming up for an attack. She hadn't really used her brain to react at all, her body just kind of acted on its own, her arm raising up to make contact with his hand instead. She blinked slowly when she realized what had happened and she couldn't help but to grin. "I thought ladies were supposed to go first," she pointed out, though her tone was merely teasing, holding no actual seriousness to it.

John shrugged in response to her words. "I bet there are others in this school who don't agree with the feud. Probably closer and more populous than we might assume," he pointed out, figuring it would probably be highly likely. Not everybody agreed on controversial things, after all. "I bet if you look in the right places - or if I do, more so, - then I could probably find others within mere minutes."
