Mariska walked into the local coffee shop and waited in line. She was running kind of late for work and she was hoping she wouldn't get in too much trouble. Mariska got to the front of the line, ordering her drink then started to get her money out. She paid then stepped to the side as she waited for them to make it. She had been so busy lately and it seemed like she would never get time to rest. Mariska turned to walk out, smacking into a guy. "Oh my god i'm so sorry.' She said as she reached for napkins. Luckily she had chosen to get an iced coffee that morning but still it wasn't okay. "ARe you okay?" She asked as she handed him napkins.

James looked startled at her. Why was everyone here so insistent? The beverage she had spilled on him had already soaked through his shirt. He frowned, and accepted the napkins politely. At least the outfit was one of the cheap ones his mother had implanted into his very small closet. He didn't exactly feel comfortable wearing what he was wearing. "No worries ma'am." he started scrubbing, then tossed the tissues out into the bin. "I can buy you another if you'd like." he offered with a formal smile.

Mariska shook her head, "No you don't have to. I'll buy you your drink because i completely ruined your morning." She said, shaking her head as she got her wallet out of her purse. She felt so bad for this and she looked at the man in front of her, "What did you want?" She asked him. She felt like it was only right for her to buy his drink. Though he didn't seem like the kind of guy that would take hand outs.

"Nonsense!" he frowned at her. She wasn't a member of the royal family. He had more then enough money, unlike her. He could tell, because she was drinking cheap iced coffee and her wallet was worn in places. "I bumped into you, I will buy the drinks." he cut in front of her with a small smile in the line. "Really, I insist." he pulled out his leather custom made Hugo Boss wallet that his mother had let him keep on the journey to America.

Mariska watched as he stepped in front of her, "Um...okay." She said. She wasn't use to people buying her things."Thanks." She said. Mariska watched as their drinks were set in front of them, "Sorry about running into you.' She said as she stepped out of the way. She felt really bad about it still. That seemed to be a problem with her lately. She just felt like she should try to please everyone.

"Don't worry about it, this isn't my shirt. I mean, it isn't one of my good shirts." he covered with a smile. It was ridiculous here. The people were clumsy and you had to do everything yourself. He picked up both coffees and handed one to her while taking a seat. He took a sip of the coffee. It was bland and weak. He held back a flinch as he swallowed it.

Mariska looked at him then took a seat in front of him, "I did catch your name. I'm Mariska." She said as she offered him her hand. He seemed kind of lost when it came to this kind of thing. Mariska knew he wasn't from around here because he had an accent.

"Pri-, James. James for short." he took her hand, giving it a good squeeze before shaking it, just like his father had taught him to do with the other royal families. He gave her a curt smile, avoiding the coffee while she drank hers seeming to very enjoy the bitter taste of this dry cheap coffee.

Mariska smiled then slowly took her hand away from his, "So what brings you to town?" she asked as she took a sip of her drink. She was really happy to meet someone knew around here. Mariska let her eyes trace his features, seeing how attractive he was.

He thought about her question for a moment, not sure how to reply. "Business." he replied warmly, still having a professional tone to his words. "Have you lived here your whole life?" he asked, noting how comfortable she seemed to be around all the people. He didn't know how some people managed to tolerate quality of life like this.

Mariska nodded, "Yea i've lived here my whole life." She said. She watched him for a moment, "What kind of business do you do?" She asked. She knew she should get going but he seemed very interesting to her. Mariska too a sip of her drink then set the cup down.

He had been put in many magazines before, but his mother had just told him to shrug it off as if it were nothing. He couldn't blow his cover so soon. "I help run organizations. I'm here for a meeting." it wasn't a total lie. His family sponsored many organizations, including Water for Africans, Food for Favors, Pennies for Peace. And, his mother had found him a job at a office organizing papers. He had a meeting later. "How about you, what do you do for a living?" he asked, truly curious.

Mariska looked at him, "I'm a teacher." She said. She was suppose to have a meeting today but things got delayed. So hopefully she wouldn't be getting into a lot of trouble. Mariska looked at him, trying to figure out what to ask him next. Mariska thought for a moment about what to say.

"Oh?" he asked, pleased. She was a helpful member of a community, good. "What classes do you teach?" he asked. She had a kind smile and gentle eyes, ideal features for a teacher. He didn't know if she had recognized him, or even if she knew who he was at all. Thank god. Mother would kill him. He was already at risk of losing his title, since his younger brother had already gotten married, he didn't have much longer. He didn't know why his mother had chose America. There way of life was so different. His accent was smooth and professional still when he spoke. He had his hand cupped around the coffee, warming his hand. He didn't think he could take another drink without spitting it out.

Mariska smiled, "I am an English teacher. I know it's very cliche." She said, laughing softly. She finished her coffee then looked over out the window as it began to rain. She actually liked the rain. Mariska looked back at him, watching his eyes for a moment. "So do you like it here?" She asked. She knew a lot of people didn't like it around here. Sometimes she wanted to leave herself.

"No no, that's good. How old are the kids you teach?" his elbow resting on the table. When she looked outside, his eyes followed her and back. Her pretty gaze caught his. "To be honest... No." he muttered dryly, but then chuckled. It was very plain, and the people were strange. His apartment was small, his clothing strange and he had to get a job. All for his mother to keep his title. He sighed, then took a menacing sip of his coffee to "fit in" as his mother suggested. Hopefully this young girl could teach him a thing or two, because he felt so lost.

Mariska looked at him, "I teach middle school." She said. She smiled when he said no, "Well then you aren't doing the right things." She said, being optimistic. Mariska like to make sure that everyone felt that things would get better. Mariska looked over as people came in from the rain then looked back at him again.

"I've been here for 2 days. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.. You see, I'm not from here." he smiled back at her, his soft accent obvious. "Perhaps you could help me?" he wouldn't deny the fact he did hate it here. It wasn't royal or professional at all.
