Sina sighed a little as she brushed some of her hair out of her eyes after stepping off the train, and onto the platform. Another year at this school, she was a sixth year and was well on her way to becoming a herbologist and a healer. She fixed her red and gold scarf so it covered her neck, properly, the wind was torturous today, and it was making her hair fly just about every which way possible. Of course that'd be her luck, she'd never be lucky enough to have a nice hair day. She smoothed down her hair, then used her scarf to keep it from moving before she headed to the boats.

This year would be tiresome. Since she was taking classes that most students didn't take until their seventh year, and only as a last resort since they'd taken all their core classes - this class was her favorite. Advanced Botany, where she learned about all sorts of plants that most didn't even hear of. Hogwarts hosted the best classes, and in her opinion was the best school for young witches, and wizards. Of course the school was flooded with horrible people just as the outside world was. Those who wished to take advantage of you, or persaude you to do the wrong thing but she'd never budge. Sina Dare was a pureblood that wasn't to be messed with.

I snapped my book closed as the train lurched to a stop and I quickly shut it into my bag. Another year, and it always started the same way. I put my bag on my shoulder and smiled at the boys I had been sharing a compartment with. I always chose a compartment with people I didn't know, reading on the train was the best. And when I was with my friends I couldn't do that. I headed toward the thestral pulled carriages. I saw them as they stood waiting to take the returning students to the castle. I ran my hand down one of their necks and sighed, climbing into the carriage.

I was excited for this new year. It would be a lot of work, but it would be worth it. This year and next would help decide their future. And I wanted nothing more than to be an auror. Half of my family disagreed with my dreams, but the other half were more than supportive. The carriage moved toward the castle and I looked out of the window, watching the trees go by.

Sina sighed a little as she was looking in the direction of the school, it towered over them. It was massive which was given since the school seemed to change its structure at any given moment. Nothing ever seemed permanent in Hogwarts. She held her bag on her shoulder while she climbed out of the cart once they pulled up to the castle. IT was massive easily two hundred feet taller then herself, the castle seemed endless and she always ended up lost.

"Luhan, wait up!" she said when she saw one of her friends, he turned around flashing a smile at her.

"Hey, slow poke thought for sure I wouldn't see you til dinner," he laughed a little, causing her to snort.

" I'm not that slow, besides this bag weighs a ton it kind of slowed me down," Sina pouted, "When is the first quidditch practice?" she asked.

"The second sunday that school started," he told her, "as always, don't you pay attention?"

"No?" she laughed a little causing him to shake his head.

Jongdae sighed as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose looking around at everyone. His friend Kyungsoo walking next to him as they approached the school, sometimes he dreaded coming here but other times, he found it quite rewarding. He never understood how he got into Ravenclaw, with his joking mannerisms, and how often her lacked in studying - it never made sense how he managed to get into the house where knowledge was key.

"Hey, D.o we should totally come up with a plan to trick some first years," he said to him smiling a little his lips curving ever so slightly in the corners.

Kyungsoo shook his head,"You're going to get in trouble already? The first day hasn't even started yet," he scoffed at his friend, doing his best to talk him out of getting into trouble.

I climbed out of the carriage and saw Xiumin climbing out of the one right in front of me. "Hey, steamed bun, what's up?" I laughed as I moved into step with him.

He grinned and put an arm around me, hugging me briefly and readjusting the bag on his shoulder. "You give me the name Baozi and then take it away, calling me the definition instead. Make up your mind, hard head." He laughed as we climber the endless stairs to the castle.

I laughed and sighed, heading up the stairs. "So captain, have you gotten yourself a better broom? We need you on your toes this season. We cant let the balls sail past you."

He scoffed at me and shook his head. "We won last season, did we not? Stop making fun of my broom. It serves me well, like yours does you." He nudged me playfully and we went inside, heading into the large double doors into the great hall.

Sehun groaned silently, getting out of the carriage fluidly and standing a little ways away while he waited for Kris and Chanyeol. He knew Chanyeol was nearby ten cars ahead. He knew he'd hear him soon enough.

"Sehuna!" He heard Chanyeol's booming voice and he turned, his permanent poker face showing no signs of emotiion as he greeted his friend.

"Call me that again, and youll have a problem getting out of your bed tonight." He murmured, a small grin coming onto his features as he hugged his friend.

He saw Kris walk through a group of giggling fourth years and scoffed while they stared at them. They always got attention from other houses, but he paid them no mind. They weren't worth his attention. Few people were.

Sina sighed a little, "We'll manage this year the team will be great and I'll be able to finally ride properly now that I got my new broom. Finally tricked my mum into buying it for me, worth the begging at any rate," she told him laughing a little as they walked then sat down at the long dining table.

"Argh, I'm starving," Sina whined a little, rubbing her stomach a little. She took off her scarf then pulled her hair over her shoulder braiding it so it was out of the way. She saw some Slytherins walk into the hall, and sighed. She didn't hate people for no reason, and most of them left her alone but there were a few that upset her.

However, Chanyeol wasn't one of them he was probably the worst slytherin to ever exist. He talked, and made friends with everyone, and even better he was interested in Witch/Muggle relations which seemed to set off his entire house. Sina had no idea how he ended up in that house, he seemed so much better suited for Hufflepuff or Gryffindor but the hate never lies, and is never wrong.

Jongdae took his seat then licked over his lips as he looked around, "Are you sure we shouldn't come up with a prank, 1st years are so easy to trick, and in all honesty its really hard to control myself," he told Kyungsoo with a small pout as he plopped his head on the table in front of him.

"You're the reason we lose so many house points every year, if we lose too many this year we're disowning you," Kyungsoo scoffed a little as he pulled out his book and began to read.

"Fine, FINE," Jongdae said as he looked around and smirked at at fifth year girl who he caught staring. He winked at her and laughed al ittle when she turned around blushing.

I walked into the Great Hall, laughing and being louder than I should with Xiumin, we had run into Tao who was complaining about his Divenation report he had over the summer. He didn't like how his future was supposed to turn out. Which was absolutely hysterical given he continued to choose the class year after year.

I saw Kris, Sehun, and Chanyeol walking into the Great Hall and Chanyeol bounded over giving me a hug and Xiumin too. Chanyeol knew everyone. He went over to some of the other tables and gave out hugs and saying hi to everyone he missed over the summer.

I gave Sehun a hug and Kris too, who had recently become cousins to me in my family. When you had all pureblood you ended up being related to each other in one way or another and my family had just married someone from Sehun's family so despite our house differences, we got a long alright. Xiumin waited a little ways away, Slytherins made him anxious.

I walked over to the table with Xiumin and sat next to Luhan and Sina, greeting Sina and making a face at Luhan who pretended to be insulted.

Sehun hugged his now cousin and continued walking towards the Slytherin table with Kris. Chanyeol had long since lost himself in the people he was saying hello to. How he made it into the Slytherin house, he'd never know.

Almost like how Dailyn ended up in Gryffindor. Apparently the hat gave her a choice, which was almost unheard of. Few people got the chance to choose. He was one of the few. She chose it to help her pursue her dreams as an auror which he learned over the summer. He shook his head and moved with Kris to find seats for themselves and Chanyeol when he finally found his way back.

Several Slytherin girls opened space for them but they continued moving until they ended up in the center of the table, in the empty space. They sat with a boredness about them, because they were bored. Or rather, Sehun was bored. Nothing entertained him anymore.

Sina smiled and hugged Dailyn, "yay, you're here!" she said as she let out a breath and Luhan scoffed again making her laugh and nudge him. "Oh don't be such a sourpuss," she told him grinning a little. She tapped her foot against the table.

"So my dad, officiall disowned me this summer. My mother still sends me money but after school I'm guessing I'm on my own," she told Dailyn with a huff, "He was meant to pay for my schooling, however the house I'm in is a utter dissappointment so he'd rather have no children at all - seeing as how I'm the only child,"

Sina and her family had a very strained relationship, her family was made up of pure bloods and criminals - or what she would consider criminals. Those who worked with he who shall not be named were evil in her books.

Jongdae stopped and looked up when he saw it was time for the sorting hat then licked his lips, this would take a good while. He knew not many of them ever came to Ravenclaw - he had wit, and most of the people who came to hogwarts got either Gryffindor or Slytherin; the first wasn't such a bad house but the other was full of a nasty gits in his book.

I sighed a little and nodded, knowing what she had told me about her family. "You're always welcome at my house. You know my family is strained, and I'm amazed they haven't broken apart. To be honest, I'm amazed a family like mine exists. But you're welcome whenever. You know that," I said as the Great Hall quieted to a hush. Professor McGonagall brought out the Sorting Hat, and that would take a while, but talking wasn't smart during the ceremony unless you were screaming for new additions to your house.

Sehun watched quietly, clapping lazily when new members joined. He would love to be asleep right now, in all honesty. But he would have to wait. He was starving. He chose to focus on Chanyeol who cheered so loud, Professor Dumbledore looked over several times despite knowing who the noise was coming from.

Sina smiled a little and clapped for the new commers to their house, and sighed as each house got around the same number of new kids which was around forty to sixty. "Jeez there are a lot of kids this year," she murmured lightly as she licked over her lips before smiling when the food appeared.

Sina could hear chanyeol screeching with excitment making her giggle a little as she shook her head, "That boy," she murmured lightly making Luhan laugh. "He is like a excited toddler," she snorted.

Jongdae cheered when the food appeared, he was starving and he wanted to eat all of the food he could so he could sleep til noon the next day. Classes didn't start til monday and it was only friday.

I nodded and laughed as I watched him bang on the table. "He is. He's a real sweetheart, I have no idea why he's over there and not here."

The food appeared and I smiled, reaching to add food to my plate. Hogwarts always made the best food, aside from what my mother made.

I laughed as Xiumin stuffed his face with mashed potatoes, making his cheeks appear chubbier than they already were. "You took them all!" Luhan complained, watching Xiumin eat.

I shook my head and went to the next table over, the Ravenclaw table and found the nearest plate of mashed potatos. "Can I take this?" I asked the boys nearest the plate/

Sehun grinned and filled his plate, eating as much as he could. He was so hungry and he couldn't wait to eat and go straight to sleep. He was tired, there was nothing he wanted or needed to do until Monday and he was fine with sleeping and rolling around his bed until then.

Jongdae looked up, "Go ahead," he said to her and shrugged as he looked at her. He flashed her a smile before laughing, "Can I have a kiss first?" he asked waggling his eyebrows at her, he loved the look on girls faces - he was waiting for her face to turn red now but it didnt seem to be happening.

Sina sighed as she ate, she never ate much as it was, she ate so little one time she was even pulled into the clinic so they could check her over. Sina didn't understand why others seemed to stuff their faces - she ate her fill then that was it, then she'd go to bed. As she ate she looked up and waved at Chanyeol who was grinning at her with a mouth full of biscuit. She laughed a little and shook her head before sipping on her grape juice.

"I save my kisses for humans, you don't qualify." I scoffed and picked up the plate, smiling at Kyungsoo. "Hey Soo, it's nice to see you." I scrunched my nose at Jongdae and walked back to the Gryffindor table, setting the plate and sitting down while Luhan fought Xiumin for the mashed potatoes.

Sehun finished what was on his plate and waited for dessert to appear. One thing about Hogwarts was their cake was delicious. He loved the German Chocolate Cake the most. He almost missed it when he was at home.

A girl came over and asked him for the jug of pumpkin juice in front of him. She was obviously nervous at being this close to him. He didn't have time for such annoyances. Instead of winking like Chanyeol would or teasing like Kris would, he reacted much differently.

"Are you an invalid? Get it yourself." He said coldly, turning his attention back to the table.

Sina saw how Sehun reacted to the girl and shook her head a little, how rude - he definitely belonged in the right house. She watched the girl shake a little then grab it from in front of him then walk away, she glared at him for a moment before continuing to eat her food. Who had sullied his mood, or gave him the right to be a asshole to everyone around him?

Jongdae laughed a little at her words then shook his head, he'd never seen her around before - he wondered why. He shrugged a little then continued to eat his food before his mind drifted right back to her.

I sat at the table watching the dessert finally disappear and Dumbledore stand to make his announcments. I sit quietly and wait, I share a room with Sina and a few other girls so we could go right up as soon as he was done. I was tired, the food made me sleepy and it had been a long day.

Sehun dozed while he listened to Dumbledore speak, picking at his fingernails instead. What he wouldn't give to be able to walk out of the Hall right now, march straight down to his dorm and go to sleep.

Sina smiled as she listened to Dumbledore talk and nodded a little as he spoke, she loved his speeches they were definitely very true to word. He never spoke unless he knew what he was going to say, and that was something she admired about him. When the speech was over, she stood up with the rest of her house then headed up to the dormitries.

Jongdae was happy when he could go to the dorms, he sometimes wished her was in a different house due to there not being many girls who were good looking in his own. He wanted to spend his time doing something enjoyable - of course he wanted the ladies to like him, so he did what he could to get their attention.

I got up with the rest of Gryffindor and began heading towards our common room. I overheard Luhan complaining that they couldn't go into the girls dormitory, while the girls could go into theirs.

"It isn't like you'll have anyone to bring up anyway," I teased, knowing I was wrong regardless.

---

Sehun sighed, getting up and heading towards the dungeons where the Slytherin dorms were. He was happy to finally be able to go to sleep after this long day.

Sina sighed a little,"Luhan, why do you want to go into the girls dorm anyway," she said raising an eyebrow at him. "Must be the one who was trying to panty raid in year four," she scoffed as she shook her head a little. She loved teasing him, truth was he was like a brother to her - he was so easy to talk to, and he understood her a lot better then most people.

However when it came to family, she talked to Dailyn. Luhan always told her to leave them, and to just forget it but she couldn't - they were her family. How can you forget family?

---

Jongdae walked to their house with Kyungsoo - it was nice to be able to relax. At home his parents, who were also Ravenclaw, saw to it that he'd read the books for the entire year before he left. It was hell, and he was happy to be away from it - he knew almost everything he needed to know for the year so passing his OWLS wouldn't be much of a problem - it never had been.

I laughed and felt a long arm wrap around my shoulder. I looked behind me and saw the grinning face of Chanyeol, his long arms wrapped around Sina and I as we walked. "Chanyeol, your dorm is that way," I laughed, but he did this every year. We were closer than a Gryffindor and Slytherin should be, but he made it easy to be like that, since he got along with everyone.

"But I wanted to see my two favorite girls before bed. You know, to have good dreams." He laughed loudly as he attempted to blend with the Gryffindors even though he towered over most of them.

Sehun watched Chanyeol move over into the Gryffindor line and sighed, knowing he'd never get into the common room since he wasn't listening when they gave the password. He followed behind silently, waiting for Chanyeol to be finished being the social butterfly he was.

Sina laughed a little, and shook her head. "Aw, you're so sweet," she teased lightly as she pinched his side and laughing when he ducked away. Sina adored Chanyeol, he was different, very social and very loud - he stuck out and didn't hate anyone unless they gave him a reason to.

"I think your friend is waiting for you though," she told him smiling a little as she nodded in Sehun's Direction.
