I've seen how mibba's writing contests have a lock to the left side once the contest is done and the pieces are judged. It would be nice if we could do that as well to our contests, or if the board mods could do it after we inform them.

I've also heard that the writing contest can be deleted by board mods if the host asks them to (because the contest is cancelled) though I don't know for sure. I remember someone told me though but I'm really forgetful.

As someone who joins almost all the writing contests and having a few of my own, I'd love to see that. It would be easier to see which contests are judged without having to check through the comment sections.

    What do you think?

Locking and deleting contest threads are already board mod responsibilities we do carry out, just hardly anyone ever contacts us about it. We must be scary or something. Coffee

If a contest is completely finished and all the pieces have been judged, you can PM a board mod the link and we'll lock the thread. Cancelled contests are a different situation. If the contest has participants and entries, we wouldn't delete it, it'd be added to the Contest Revival list and another user could continue the contest. If it's been cancelled because no one joined then those can be deleted.

We'll also delete old completed contests and edit titles/short descriptions of contest threads if anyone asks. All anyone has to do is send me or Mina a message and we'll gladly take care of it. Very Happy

But if someone doesn't want their contest to be submitted for revival, then it gets deleted - at least that's what I've heard. Most don't even know that those things are your responsibilities (of board mods). Thanks for the info though. Cute

Anyways, it would be nice if we could fix our contests on our own.
