Writing Chat Room

Currently I'm working on a Homestuck fanfic. I just got out of a pretty bad writer's block. I was actually about to just delete it when my roommate gave me an idea for it.

I'm also working on a few one-shots for contests and a new American Horror Story fanfiction.

I am now in a Jalex mood! :D

It doesn't make you anymore crazy than any other writer. That's a fairly common practice.

I've been allowing myself to work on some side projects for the past week or so, but I really need to get back to work on The Impossible Children. Chapter 10 is not gonna write itself!

I have quite a few going on as well lol, I dunno I find it easier to work on numerous rather than just one, plus it keeps me motivated as well

I pre-write a lot of my stuff but when it comes to actually typing it up I always change it as I go along! lmao

My friends are always saying 'what's the point writing it down if you're just going to change it, I don't get all the extra work you do for nothing'... but the truth is it isn't extra work, it's re-drafting which is important in writing.

Exactly, when you have the general idea down on paper, you always get other ideas along the way which you add onto the original idea. It's one of the best parts of writing! Non-writers just don't get it, haha.
